Fantastic experience: The place to go to for your natural vitamins and supplements. Along with herbs, alkaline water, seasoning, hot food, foot detox and more. The lady female owner is very knowledgeable if you have questions about some particular. I got this detox at my last visit.

Negative experience: I originally started coming here in the past when I worked in the area. They were a good place to go for a salad. I was going to be in the Cumberland Mall area to see my kidney doctor. Afterward decided to go here for lunch. Note - few months ago I had a stroke And it has caused me to develop some food sensitivities , if exposed to pesticides and Gmo foods can cause me to cough. While finishing up my salad the owners Asian wife came over and told me I was coughing too loud keeping customers away. Told her I would leave so I wouldn't cause a problem. As soon as I left the coughing stopped as usual. Felt funny because she seen to feel I had the bubonic flag. Apologize for scaring you Felt like it was the John Pinniet comedian bit where he was at a Chinese buffet for 4 hrs and he scared the owners wife. So you might want to go somewhere else to insure your getting organic food items if you cannot tolerate pesticides and gmo products. One day on my last visit she said something's are organic. So in the past I have liked this place but from now on I better go somewhere else. The good thing is there is always another place.

Fantastic experience: I received speedy assistance from the cashier who helped me find exactly what I needed complete with cautions in overuse.

Negative experience: Worst experience. The guy at the front of store has no personality. I bought an Item, did not like the taste of the product I bought. I only tasted half of one of the macaroons. My entire purchase was $51. I had the receipt and was told no returns once product was opened. No where on the receipt states this. I smiled walked out and will never return, nor will refer this store:

Negative experience: Update: Owner response, "Too much entitlement," when I expected customer service from a business. My response, "Poor pillars of business operations." If you don't like interacting with people (or specific people) open an online store. Having a brick and motor comes with the responsibility and territory of minimally interacting with your patrons. I stumbled on this place. I really like going to Seveanda so I was intrigued. I wasn’t greeted or asked if I had been in previously. There was one other person in the store sitting in the cafe area. I probed around and picked up a healthy soda and skincare product. The person at the register (maybe the owner) wasn’t there when I went to check out. He was helping an elderly woman. No acknowledgement or anything. No, “Hey, I’ll be right with you,” or anything. I promptly put the overpriced items down and left. Great customer service at Kale Me Crazy next door.

Fantastic experience: This is my favorite neighborhood place!! I am a frequent shopper and have been going here for many years! Goodness Grocery is awesome! Sue is very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. She's very patient and kind. I love this place. Thank you so much for all your help!

Negative experience: This place is trash. The staff is rude and lacks customer service. The white guy at the register didn’t seem to want to help me or even speak to me. From reading the reviews it seems like this is the norm here. There are plenty of other wellness stores in Georgia, go spend your money somewhere that values their customers. I put my basket down and walked right out of there and went to another store. They won’t be getting my hard earned dollar. Do better! :-)

Fantastic experience: Su and her husband are such a blessing for this area. Su has helped my family more than any doctor. She is so knowledgeable and has a heart of gold. From eczema, celiac, flu, Covid, infant illnesses— you name it- she has the solution. Today I went in for help- she knew what I needed before I even opened my mouth. She was able to read my face/ eyes. I’m still shocked. Give the ion foot baths a try to speed up a liver detox- they will really jump start healing when you are sick. During the foot bath today she knew I was very stressed out and I confided in her that my two year old nephew was currently in brain surgery out of town and I was a wreck. She stopped everything and said a long prayer. You don’t see this hardly ever! It was an incredible moment for me that she would do that. They run this business because they care about people more than they care about profit. However, They’ve successfully been in Smyrna for over 15 years. I hope they are always here.

Fantastic experience: Excellent and healthy wraps and sandwiches

Negative experience: Good local spot. However, the owner is incredibly rude. Customer service is not a priority for her. Somehow her staff is great but her demeanor is enough to make me never want to return.

After reading other reviews I suggest that others start doing their own research before depending on another person when it comes to your lifestyle of health.

Positive experience: Update: After 9 months of not wanting to read the response from the owner (because I knew it would be catty )… I’ve decided to read it. Unfortunately and fortunately I do understand the up’s and down’s of business and honestly it’s really not easy. I remember working as a server in my early 20s and loathed the idea of not being able to just walk up to a table like my male counterparts without the extra perkiness, smile, greeting… (you know the extra bit of customer service) the above and beyond approach. *** I do however notice the response was targeted more so towards me having negative experiences everywhere I go. Which is not true, however I never use to feel the need to review on good customer service until I experienced just unacceptable customer service. So if you looked over my past year I’ve made more good reviews than bad since google consistently requests input. After 19+ years in Customer Experience & Marketing I do suggest a more targeted response (verses shifting blame on the customer for sharing experiences out of their control) and more so on how you’d make your customer experience better or something along those lines…. Just from a brand image perspective… for example if Google says over 15k people have read this review… (and have) I wouldn’t want customers to see a response unsupportive of the brand image or the customer experience that the business is trying to portray. In retrospect… 9 months later and after helping many of brands get launched including health care businesses. I’ll say perhaps I’ll add a star or two. Perhaps it was a bit harsh to judge based on someone’s demeanor. The economy is ever changing, life is short and you never truly know people’s story. I choose peace ☮️ and much blessings to all the entrepreneurs out there. Previous review: I visited this place once, I spent over $100 on supplements and I literally live 5 minutes away. I won’t go back because the guy looks terrifying. And apparently the wife is a bit mean as well. My experience was an evil steer lol I figure maybe it was just a bad day. So I was about to attempt it again after my weekly Kale Me Krazy visit. I didn’t know he was the owner, I saw him and I instantly turned around. I’ll stick to the Whole Foods, Sevanada Natural Foods, several other health food stores I frequent and plus I’m a lover for the farmers market anyway. Lol this is no shade to the stores “stock” and variety and perhaps maybe that’s just how this guy’s energy is to “everyone”… but I just can’t spend money in an unfriendly environment especially on food and nutrition that’s supposed to nourish my body! I’m -40lbs and all I want is fruit, veggies and nourishment and definitely not with a side of “hate” or weirdness If I were them I’d definitely hire a staff. The logo is inviting, the store is nice, but business would probably triple.

Negative experience: The salad bar is now $12 and doesn’t have what it used to have. No bacon, no ginger bread, and they blame inflation on Biden. Never again

Negative experience: This store was recommended by my PCP and I purchase my vitamins here. However, today one of the store staff members was checking me out and was informing me about the benefits of Pine Detox. The Asian lady (owner) was so rude, came over, and cut her off mid sentence. The other customers were confused by her attitude as was I because the African American lady was trying make her sale for her store. Terribly disappointed!

Negative experience: Unhelpful staff-came out of the way for a product that was listed they carried. Their staff made no apology or real attempt to help me find the item. To add insult to injury, she was more preoccupied with opening a box to talk to me a customer or avoid narrowly missing me with her cart. Disappointing on so many levels since a local, independent grocery should thrive on good customer service. Will not return.

Negative experience: I am so disappointed in this place. I have frequent this business for years, recommend others and when my Mother would come to town, this is always a place where I would take her. I decided that I wanted to transition to alkaline water. I went in to talk to Sue (one of the owners) and asked her for recommendations. She recommended the attached product and I trusted what she said and purchased it. The product didn’t work, so I went back in and explained the issue with the product to Karen (which is another lady that works there). Karen asked Sue if there were any issues with the product and Sue proceeds to say. “Yes. It doesn’t fully work.” I was a bit taken back because this is the product that the owner of Goodness Grocery recommended for me to purchase (knowing that it didn’t work) and she was very dismissive about the issue. I asked if I could exchange it for something else and she had the audacity to say, “No!” I politely walked out and will NEVER EVER support this business. The fact that they sell things that don’t work to their capacity is mind blowing. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Negative experience: If I could give this grocery store zero stars I would because of their unethical product pricing practices. They sell Yogi brand red raspberry leaf tea for $18 while the same brand retails for $4.99 at Whole Foods. My husband purchased the tea for me and when I shared with him how much I typically pay, he went back to return the unopened box. The owner refused to provide him with a refund, price match, or even store credit. While I understand this is a small business, they should not be charging 4x retail. You’ve officially lost a customer and I encourage anyone who reads this to stick to Sprouts and Whole Foods.

Negative experience: Products seem really interesting. Were nice when I called but the vibe was strange when I got there. They seemed used to a certain "type" of customer that I didn't fit. I was asked if I lived in the area and then the lady started to talk to me about why I needed to believe in Jesus. I understand spreading a good message but did not feel that was the way to do it and no longer felt welcome and left the store. She may have meant well but as I said it left me uncomfortable and I felt unwelcome. Don't preach to your customers and be accepting of all. That's how true believers should behave. Good luck. I was sadly looking forward to shopping there.

Negative experience: Beer hall friend raved about the burger, saying it's better than Five Guys, and we saw the place had a salad bar, so we dropped in to try their food. Burger was overcooked and dry. Very little sauce on bun. The gimmicky hoagie roll bun was dry. The sweet potato fries were soggy and tasted of old oil. The quality is the equivalent of a dying mall with an empty food court. I'd receive better food from a gas station. Worst of all, the burger and fries was $14. The store itself sells a lot of homeopathic junk. Will not be back for any reason. Went over to Five Guys and bought significantly tastier burger and fries for $10.

Fantastic experience: Billy, Sue, and Karen are like family to me. I have been shopping here regularly since I moved back to atlanta in 2012. The kangen water has changed my life. They also have great prices on probiotics, omegas, multi vitamins, and a great selection of essential oils. Also great food and the famous Power Shot is a must have!

Negative experience: To begin, I have been a loyal customer of Goodness Groceries for the past 10 years. I live in Historic College Park (Woodward Academy Community) so if anyone knows where this is, you know it's a drive from my residence to this store(22 mi. to be exact one way). I've been to a few seminars, the 10 year celebration, purchased many supplements and oils, purchased food/bottled water, purchased and filled water jugs continuously, had my feet, family members and many friends feet detoxed over the years. Ms. Sue has known my 8 year old daughter since she was an infant. She suggested her first set of vitamins to me when she was only 1. Ms. Sue and Ms. Karen has always been helpful and informative about the merchandise sold in the store. To began with the first incident which should have kept me from coming back occurred last year with Ms. Karen, the lady with the locs. I entered the store with my two 5-gallon jugs along with my one 3-gallon jug to fill with water. I took the first 5 gallon jug out and added about 4oz of alkaline water to the bottle and gently rinsed it then began to fill it up. When I got to the 2nd bottle, a loud voice stated: DON'T DO THAT, THAT'S NOT WHAT THE ALKALINE WATER IS FOR, THAT'S THE REASON THE PRICES HAVE GONE UP BECAUSE YOU ALL WANT TO RINSE YOUR BOTTLES OUT WITH THE ALKALINE WATER. ITS ACID WATER RUNNING OVER INTO A CONTAINER AND THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED TO USE TO CLEAN YOUR BOTTLES OR CLEAN THEM BEFORE YOU COME. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO RINSE WITH THE WATER, IT'S FOR SALE. I looked at Ms. Karen and stated o.k. I filled the rest of my jugs, paid, and left the store. I couldn't believe Ms. Karen approached me in that manner and in that tone. She was very unprofessional and appeared to be very agitated. Rules are rules and since it's been brought to my attention, I will have my bottles rinsed prior to filling them up. A couple of times in the past Ms. Sue's husband has helped me to my truck and placed the waters securely in the truck for me. He is the one to inform me to use the seat belts on the waters to keep them from falling. Well a couple of months ago, I was in the store filling the same three jugs with water, already rinsed. Ms. Sue was standing in the area making smoothies and talking to me as I filled the jugs asking about Reese as she normally does. There were two young guys (appeared to be 20-25) standing behind the register as my jugs were being filled. I decided to go ahead and pay for the water prior to the jugs being filled as I have done so many times in the past. I made my purchase then went back over to complete filling the jugs.Once the jugs were done, one of the young guys at the register stated I can help you take those jugs to your car and I stated, Great. Ms. Sue informed the young guy, "WE DON'T CARRY WATER JUGS FOR CUSTOMERS".The young guy stated, I don't mind. She then turned to me and asked, "DO YOU HAVE A DISABILITY WHY YOU CAN'T CARRY THEM" I stated to Ms. Sue, no but I probably will after carrying these water bottles. She then stated, we don't carry water out unless you have a disability. I stated to her, I didn't ask him to carry the water, he volunteered, because it's not really busy. I was very offended she asked me this and as I left the store the young guy followed me and stated, I will help you. He assisted me with putting the jugs in the truck. Sue (lost respect for the Ms.) was very unprofessional, offensive and just plain rude. I want her to know that all disabilities are not physical and you should never ask a question like this if you are in a position to assist with a purchase in your store. I have since found two stores, Whole Foods and the Vitamin Lady. The Vitamin Lady's Alkaline water is a PH of 10 and it is so fresh and quenching to the body. My numbers have gone completely down with my BP. Nothing less than professionalism is accepted at Whole Foods. I have encouraged all my co-workers, friends, and family members not to patronize this store.I pray God continue to bless her and her business. They definitely need some interpersonal skills trng.

Fantastic experience: This is a hidden jewel!! Prices are the best I've seen in a health food/ natural store. My first visit I bought garlic oil that I normally pay $19 at my neighborhood herb shop, Goodness had it for $12. This is my new Herb/ Grocery Store!!!

Fantastic experience: Small, quaint, locally-owned. Awesome, thorough salad bar. Boring and repetitive hot bar that's good in a pinch for vegans. I've never ordered from their restaurant. But the staff here are always incredibly friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked, organized, and clean.

Positive experience: Really good hot food and salad/soup bar. Good selection of supplements, although a bit pricey. Can fill up water jugs with alkaline water, which is convenient. The staff is nice, although there is an older woman there who means well, but she can be a bit overbearing in regards to her religious beliefs..other than that I go regularly.

Negative experience: POOR SERVICE!!! I ordered a Salmon BLT sandwich and it tasted extremely foul. I could actually smell a foul / spoiled odor when I picked it up to try to bite into it. Add to that, it was overcooked and dry. The salmon portion was much smaller than usual and so was dry, it was falling apart. I told management and she refused to acknowledge it or provide customer service of any sort. I will not be back and I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone try this spot.

Positive experience: I want to love this place, in fact I use to love this place years ago before organic tampons, toothpaste, alkaline water and detergent became popular amongst the masses...it was the only place I could find what I needed without ordering online close to home...even then if there was a day where customer service sucked I’d just accept it because...I needed my things...anyhow It’s been about 3 years since I’ve shopped here because of an incident with a rude employee about water refills...and if I hadn’t found out that Whole Foods started selling Alkaline refills for waaaaay less that week I would’ve brushed this incident “under the rug” as well. Needless to say it’s been awhile and I decided to stop in today...*sighs* for such a wonderful store of truly good things... the energy is really off putting and dull...it reeks of “I only work here because it’s the family business” ...and the three people who are the kindest and most helpful is the Korean owner, her sister (I think it’s her sister) and the lady with locs...everyone else is hard to stomach (oh the cooks are great too). Anyhow I’m glad Kale Me Crazy will be opening soon.

The staff is friendly and the items on the shelves are always fully stocked. Their products and produce are competitively priced. From the outside of the building this store looks small. When you walk in this grocery store it's actually spacious. This will be your best one stop shop when it comes to healthier living and choices.
