Fantastic experience: Half a year ago I came to Thrive. I was 23, five years in the infantry and my back was constantly hurting. I couldn't do the things I enjoyed and was worried I would be medically separated. They took x-rays for free to see what they could do to help. After six months of treatment my spine has only improved and I'm on the right track to live a perfectly mobile life. After my two first weeks I felt like a new person and didn't feel any pain. The treatment was rather inexpensive for the frequency. I've recommended them to colleagues and would tell anyone to give it a shot. The staff are extremely friendly and caring and I genuinely enjoy coming in for an appointment. Invest in your future body!

Fantastic experience: Generally my physical condition was poor in several areas when I first visited Thrive Health Systems. My neck and back and shoulders were painful and even mildly 'deformed.' Beginnings with a complete lab work up and a diet program, I added regular Chiropractic adjustments and Functional Movement Training. Within about six months my neck, back and shoulders were aligned with much less pain or limited movement. I continued with Thrive Health Systems on a maintenance program that includes Chiropractic Adjustments and Functional Movement Training. I just renewed another contract of maintenance and I am very satisfied with the long term benefits physically, mentally and emotionally.

Fantastic experience: The doctors at Thrive have helped me to improve my health dramatically! Dr Arter is extremely knowledgeable and with the use of comprehensive lab testing has helped me find the best plan to improve the areas where my body needed help. No other medical doctors utilize the same testing and can explain how your body is or is not functioning. With the use of his recommended supplements and diet change, my thyroid function has improved which has increased my energy and vitality, improved my muscle strength, and allowed my body to lose unnecessary weight. Fantastic experience: I really cannot express or say my gratitude towards Dr Arter and Dr Ospina for how they have helped my husband and I. I had severe IBS, I had no idea what foods were negatively impacting my gut. Thanks to the blood work now I understand it and was able to get better. Dr Arter's adjustments were instrumental in releasing suppressed nerves causing the peristalsis in my gut to stop. He is a plethora of information and I love how he teaches you while he supports your body to heal itself. Dr Ospina is my husband's doctor despite that my hubby is a liver transplant recipient He helped his itching stop by balancing the bacteria in his gut as a result of the immune suppressants he has to take. Fantastic experience: I first started seeing Dr. Arter with Thrive Health Systems November of 2018. I weighed 200 lbs and was on 15 meds for my Asthma, heart and various digestive problems. After finding out that I had major problems with my health, according to the test results Dr.Arter took, I started a regiment of supplements immediately. At the time I was having major problems with my asthma. I also had many food allergies and a terrible diet. Within two weeks my asthma was under full control. And my digestive tract was functioning much better. I lost 40 lbs within the first 6 months. Now I still am seeing Dr. Arter so that I can get adjustments as well as small adjustments to my supplements. I’ve been able to enjoy my life much more since I started with Dr. Arter. Fantastic experience: Excellent! I have an Endocrine disorder that leaves me no energy to function on a daily basis, I felt helpless and had no hope. I tried to find a doctor that I wanted to go to, but my criteria is high! I wanted a doctor who I could trust my ‘life too’! I wanted a doctor and an office who cared instead of functioning as a corporation. The first point of contact was the girl on the phone; she was wonderful & inviting, I can’t say that about any of the other offices that I tried. Due to my need to be seen, she heard my desperation and booked me in on the same day.The staff at Thrive was down to earth, nice, and helpful. The Doctor spent at least an hour talking to me, listening to me, & questioning me. He set my next day lab appt. In house. He will create a treatment plan for me after my labs return so he can confirm his suspicions for a diagnosis. My appointment for treatment is in one week and I’m excited! Based on the professionalism and education of the entire staff and doctor and my overall experience, I feel like I have found a doctor who I can trust my life too… In one appointment, they gave me hope. My last doctor who is in Tulsa, Oklahoma has become ill. He was amazing. I include him in this post because I listed him in another google review as a doctor who I trusted my life too as well. Fantastic experience: Just in the beginning stages but my first visit was awesome! Learned a lot about the possibilities of Upper Cervical Care and am excited to embark on this journey in hopes for a remedy to my headaches and migraines.

Fantastic experience: I went in yesterday for my initial visit to see if a Thrive treatment plan could address the cause of long term and increasing lower back and hip pain. Dr Arter took x-rays and discussed his thoughts about what they could do for me. I was hopeful! I scheduled my evaluation visit for next week, so my husband could attend. But last night, I couldn't walk (pain in my left leg). I panicked a bit. I called this morning and was able to get in to see Dr Grammar (spelling?). He was amazing - patient, kind, and informative. He did an adjustment and gave me some stretching exercises I could do until I got in for my eval, which has been rescheduled for tomorrow. I'm not even their patient yet and they have been amazing about taking care of me!!!

I was visiting from CA and even though Dr. Grammer knew he would only be seeing me once, he took the time to listen and problem solve to get to the root of my pain. Fantastic experience: Thrive at the Powers location has literally given me my life back. My stomach issues which I thought was IBS were all due to the foods that I was eating. After testing to determine what did not agree with me all of my stomach issues have been resolved. In addition to my stomach issues I also had upper cervical issues primarily my neck which Dr Grammer has corrected. Fantastic experience: After looking for years high and low I finally found out what was actually the issue and their treatment plans I think are what really helped me. They started out heavy three times a week for several months than two times a week then once a week and then gave me the option of how long I want to go afterward. I think that was one of the keys in getting me better. I've dealt with head trauma largely because my Atlas was out of alignment which suppressed proper brain flow. Now I am on my way to 100% at about 70-80% now. I recommend thrive to multiple people and would recommend it to anyone seeking to find something that Will actually help them get better

Fantastic experience: Diagnosed out of the blue with intracranial hypertension in Jan. Turns out it was caused by improper neck alignment due to a fall with whiplash 14 years prior. Started receiving upper cervical adjustments and some functional movement training shortly after these findings. I am so happy to say that I am in remission without any medication for the increased fluid pressure in my head and I have seen my X-ray results improve in several key areas relating to posture and neck alignment. I will keep coming in regularly for my upper cervical adjustments to keep this condition in remission and save my eyesight. Highly recommend to anyone with a significant medical issue with a history of physical trauma.

Negative experience: First time in my life to a chiropractor. I felt like I was at a high-pressure used car dealership. There were gimmicky sales tactics and a sleight of hand with the x-rays. The so-called "doctor" tried to sucker me into an expensive "treatment package" plan. I'm not playing your psychological mind games. You may view yourself as a clever "professional" but I think what you are doing is foolish. Health, not money, should be the first priority. Patients in pain should not be taken advantage of for financial means. The chiropractor was late to the appointment; I was prompt and had to wait. Another chiropractor gave me a massage, which made me feel worse. Frankly, my barber growing up gave better massages! The teaser price for new patients may get people in the door but only the gullible will fall for the antics and stay. So did you guys meet in the clink or what? I sniff some serious quackery in this place. I'm going to my primary doctor and I'll let them refer me to a specialist who actually knows what they're doing so I can get a proper diagnosis and treatment. As of now, I've only been to a chiropractor once in my life and that was one time too many. At Thrive, question everything. Buyer beware. Any "apology" that follows this review should be held suspect since genuine personal apologies are not made in online reviews in the first place. I have no incentive to tell anything other than the truth; for Thrive, however, their image is at stake.

Fantastic experience: My 6 month functional medicine program changed my life. I’ve had autoimmune issues since I was a teenager, and every doctor I have been to just wanted to prescribe me more things that did not help me feel better. After hearing a lot about healing your gut, I tried an autoimmune paleo diet to make myself feel better and try healing the root cause but I only made it 60 days. Four years later, I started my program at Thrive and made it the entire 6 months and know I will continue for life. I lost 50 lbs and I feel so much better physically and mentally. My autoimmune has not been this “under control” and symptomless since I was diagnosed over 10 years ago. It is worth every penny and every food that you have to give up. PS- I feel more energized without coffee, it’s possible.

Fantastic experience: If you are reading this review, either your back hurts or, like me, you are feeling like your body is burned out and you can not find a way back to health on your own. I went into to Thrive after listening to their show on Word FM as a last ditch effort to help myself. I knew my GP would put me on meds for all that ailed me... I had already watched my dad go down that road and he died rather young. So I went in and Dr. Arter listened, and I do mean listened. I told him finally that as hyperbolic as it sounded, I felt like I was dying. The lab results took the drama out of it, I was not in good shape. Dr. Grammer then helped me learn to eat the way I had always wanted to eat, however some of the great food I had been trying to eat were the ones causing me to stay inflamed! I could have never guessed that and the lab work is what made all the difference paired with supplements that fuel your body with life again! So as they say, if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired... this is positively the best money you can spend. I spent more on cancer treatment, this was way better! Please do it, I have my life back and its only been 6 months.

Fantastic experience: Against fashion and the 'take a pill to manage your problems healthcare system', it is pure relief to discover doctors who have hands on and dig for the cause of complaints. Meeting Dr. Arter he gave me his full attention and listened to my history and complaints. A plan was put in place and my problems were flanked on three sides with xrays, blood tests, and a stool sample. The results illuminated the enemy and they specifically attacked with nutrition, physical adjustments and movement therapy. My part in this regime was difficult and required 'fortitude' in a good sense because I knew I was moving forward. The problems long neglected were transitioning. As the neck, wrists, hip and knee pain started to melt away I was learning new eating habits, taking supplements and strengthening my muscles to support this pain free structure. Negative experience: Don't expect to get seen same day if you're an existing patient. Doesn't matter if you're in pain. All they care about is money. They'll casually hand you an estimate for treatment in the thousands of dollars range. That's absolutely disgusting. I liked the doctor a lot, but that's the only positive things about this place.

Fantastic experience: 3 years ago my face was swelling, I had low energy, gut issues and was over 200 pounds. My primary care sent me to an allergist. The allergist could find out why his was happening. He sent me home with 3 prescriptions. Dr. Arter took time to talk with me about my health problems. He ordered some tests and again took time to go each one. He let me know what was happening, what I could change, how to do it and has supported me ever since. I had food allergies, leaky gut, Celiac, inflammation and needed to eat better. I lost almost 30 pounds, feel great and I have increased my quality of life. I love this office, everyone is so nice. Fantastic experience: Along with my Upper Blair Cervical chiropractors in Kentucky, Dr. Arter and Dr. Grammar have been the most helpful practitioners in my quest to get quality of life back. I was diagnosed with MS in 2015 and forced to retire from the military. I knew from research that a holistic approach was necessary, especially since I became allergic to medicine! The goal is 12 degrees, but this process has already eliminated many of my chronic insomnia issues, chronic pain issues, and I can climb mountains with no pain. Thanks, Dr. Grammar!!!! Dr. Arter has also been working with me on functional nutrition issues and identified issues at which the military/VA scoff (the nutritionist at Walter Reed gave me a copy of the food pyramid dated 1977!! to follow). The data points that he is identifying for me are helping in my understanding of this autoimmune disease and how I can be more balanced in my approach to living, without paying tens of thousands of dollars. If you have an autoimmune issue, I highly recommend coming to this location and working with these doctors. Not all locations have the same kinds of doctors, so I recommend this one in particular. This will require a lifestyle change, work on your part, and research, but the outcome is definitely worth it. I'm looking forward to the next year of working with this great team.

Negative experience: Called for an initial appointment and stated I am a new patient. Arrived at the designated time and was told if i booked at the wrong clinic. Reiterated the last number is 4588? another receptionist stated they thought I was a prior patient and made a mistake. I dont care for any discounts/removal of fees but next time listen to the person on the other line. I could have booked another appointment at another place but its a little bit too late in the afternoon. Ill let my military friends know to stay away

Fantastic experience: God send! I went to Thrive after pleading in prayer for some help. When I came there, I literally could barely hold my head up for long. I kept eating 24/7 and felt like I’d pass out from dizziness often. The ER was no help. My regular doctor couldn’t figure it out, he just said he thought it was a strange cv19 type of virus. Now at Thrive they have me doing light weights and I can do more than I could before the illness hit that sent me there. I have a history of other disabilities. The chronic migraine intensity has diminished a lot ( had those for almost 10 yrs. I also lost a lot of weight… but gave up on that years ago and just ate clean and kept active…but now I lost 25 lbs so far … and I eat more. The program there works! Fantastic experience: I came to Thrive in late spring to address chronic pain in my hips and back; I also wanted some nutritional counseling for post-menopausal life. My X-rays revealed that I had vertebrae that were fusing in my spine and my hips were misaligned. The blood test for the nutrition side revealed that I had leaky gut and some health numbers that were high/out of range of normal. I have been on a four-month journey of chiropractic adjustments, functional movement therapy (FMT)and a strict cleanse diet to heal my gut. It was a leap of faith to pay for the plans out of pocket (not covered by insurance), but figuring it was better to pay now to improve my health instead of paying more later, in more ways than one. I had assumed that what I was experiencing was related to aging. But after treatments, most of my hip and back pain is gone (and I will continue to work on the issues after treatment is over, now that I know the exercises I need to keep up); my nutritional changes have given me more energy, better sleep, better moods overall and I feel healthier than I have for some time. As I've added foods back into my diet, it's clear some of them had been affecting me for some time and I never knew it. Per the doctor, I will remove these foods from my diet permanently. It's hard to give up foods I love, but I'd rather be healthy and that makes it easier. The staff at Thrive is warm and welcoming. I appreciate the friendly front desk, the doctors and especially the trainers in FMT, who make it enjoyable to be there and genuinely do their best to figure out how to assign exercises that will accomplish the most good in the time they have. I've seen chiropractors from literally all over the world and none of them have been able to give me the results that Thrive has. Fantastic experience: Love Thrive Health Systems. Been with Dr Arter and Dr Grammer when they were at the west location. Move with them to the east location. Love the closer location. Love the staff. Knowledge is power.. wow what the full blood work up shows.. Personal story: had a health scares back in July, knew I had to detox and calm body down from all the inflammation and toxin buildup, so I did the 30 detox and cleanse Thrive offers as I did it before, knew that would help do the trick. Started also to increase my hours at my 2nd job to help pay for some extra medical cost. I truly believe I would not have survived my 70+ hour weeks for the past 2 mos without Thrive and the detox cleanse. I can tell my joints and muscle don't hurt and ache like they had been. Negative experience: Pay attention to the other reviews calling this place a scam, because it is. If you go in for chiropractic care, they will cold read you about some previous injury (which I never had in my case), say you have "stage 2 degeneration" and then try to get you to pay thousands for a plan. Seriously, they use scare tactics to sell expensive plans and it's pretty despicable. I went to the Spine and Sport Center on Stetson Hills and it was a completely different experience. My back pain is much better and the doctors evaluate you after each treatment, rather than saying you need 3 adjustments a week for several months. Please, if you are in pain and feeling desperate, do NOT fall for Thrive's snake oil.

Negative experience: I don't believe it even deserves 1 star. Very expensive & they make it sound so good on 100.7, a Christian radio station neverthelessless! Then they send you for bloodwork, $280, then you go in to see Dr. Arter & bam, he wants $6,000 for the program for 7months. Will not be going back there. I'm out the $280 for the bloodwork. Very deceptive I say. Who can you tell me can afford this program??

Fantastic experience: When no medical doctors could figure out what was wrong with me — or even care to figure it out — dr Arter did everything he could to help me. 2 years later and my body is incredibly better, and better every day because of his knowledge and expertise. Fantastic experience: Entered the program to repair my leaky gut and was pleasantly suprised. Dr Arter and Dr Grammer are top-notch. They quickly identified the problem and determined how to correct it. After 5 months on the program, I have lost 21 lbs. and feel much better. I am so happy that I decided to go this direction. It is so worth it. Update: I am now going on 11 months in the program. I haven’t felt this good in years. All my blood test markers are in the normal range and my heart issues have disappeared. My cardiologist couldn’t understand how well I was feeling with the test results that they saw just a few months earlier. I did complete a medical procedure to get rid of my Afib but the traditional medical doctors thought it probably return within a couple months because I had it for so long (a couple years). Then I would have to get the procedure again. It’s been 6 months now and the heart has been in sinus rhythm. I attribute this to Dr. Arter and Dr. Grammer‘s program. I couldn’t be happier.

They had a new patient special and were able to get me in the next morning. Staff was so kind and helpful. But the Doctor was outstanding! Fantastic experience: To say that thrive health systems, Dr. Grammer and Dr. Arter saved my life is not an exaggeration. When I heard the radio show in January I had been suffering from severe diarrhea for a year and drinking a sixpack a day. On the outside I appeared healthy but on the inside I was a mess. I have been with the office since February and my results have been phenomenal I do not suffer from diarrhea anymore I lost 15 pounds gave up drinking and my cholesterol went from 282 on statins to 178 off statins my triglycerides went from 367 to 52 Between blood tests, supplements and dietary changes my life has been turned around. Fantastic experience: I have had terrible neck and back pain for years due to old injuries. From the very beginning, the team at Thrive on Powers and Research has been nothing short of awesome. From the front desk to both doctors I see to the young lady who does my decompression. Top notch, so thankful to have found them. Also, Dr Arter is amazing, he is very careful to hear all of your concerns!

Positive experience: The main reason I decided to go with this office was the treatment plan, which included massage, chiropractic adjustments and functional movement training. It was very detailed and outlined what I was to do each week, which I loved! However, when it came to scheduling what was on my treatment plan, the front desk was unable to schedule me as planned as there were not enough openings. When I receive a treatment plan that says, for example, one massage and three adjustments each week for the first four weeks, and the schedule can’t even get me in for a massage for three weeks, it is off putting. The same thing happened when I started functional movement training which means I will run out of chiropractic adjustments before I am even finished with functional movement (I paid for everything in advance, so obviously I’ll just pay extra for the additional adjustments, but it is still slightly off putting since this was not my fault but a scheduling issue.) So if you go to this schedule as many appointments as you can far in advance to eliminate frustration. I will also say that their schedule has been opening up, so I’m hopeful that will help make the experience more pleasant. Also, they offer a prepay discount so if you can swing it, do it! Massage- I highly recommend Antonio for massage. He is very personable, knowledgeable, attentive and passionate about his work. I have been to a number of massage therapists in the Springs for pain relief, and Antonio is by far one of the best. Functional Movement- Erin is amazing. She is knowledgeable, joyful and believes in her work. My one complaint about FMT (and really the reason this is a four star review and not five) has nothing to do with the trainers and everything to do with ratios. FMT is advertised as one on one training when in fact it can often be one trainer to as many as four clients at a time. When you get lucky and end up being in a session with less people, it is phenomenal, but when it is one trainer to four clients there can be a lot of standing around. I have noticed that people who frequent FMT will move onto other stretches and movements, but personalities who are unsure or really need direction end up waiting. I would pay more for a session that was one on two, or even one on three (at most). I believe the staff wants to provide the best care possible, but patient care goes out the window with an emphasis on quantity and not quality. With some creativity, I believe Thrive could make this experience more client centered and manageable by the trainer while still paying the bills. As a complete side note, if you’re going to this office, or any office really, do your part at home. Don’t expect results if you aren’t doing the work. This is a partnership. If you want to heal, you’ll do the work. And sometimes that means spending some additional money on your health. Also, you know your body better than the doctors, so track your symptoms and communicate with your doctors. Chiropractic- My initial consultation was with Dr. Arter who, like so many others on the staff, truly cares and believes in his work. I will say I was disappointed when I was scheduled with another doctor for my adjustments. But after weeks of treatment with Dr. Nordeen, I think I’m in good hands. He is personable and has always given me great adjustments. Throughout the weeks of treatment, I have had days of zero pain (hadn’t felt that in a long time) and days where new pain surfaced that I wasn’t happy with. I have been very open with the staff about what makes my pain worse and what helps and they have worked with me along the way. Overall, this has been a positive experience. It is a journey, and I think I’m headed in the right direction. P.S. I have to give kudos the front desk staff as they put up with me and always greet me with a “hello”!

Fantastic experience: When I first came to Thrive, I couldn’t walk fully upright or without the assistance of a cane. I had recently herniated a disc in my lower back for the second time in 5 years and I was also still recovering from a broken ankle that happened 10 months prior. My waking hours were spent in an immense amount of pain and I did not want to treat with medication only. With Thrive’s comprehensive services, I am happy to say that now, at the end of my initial 6 month plan, my pain is almost non-existent and I have learned several stretches and exercises to help when I start cramping up. I am also listening to my body and moving more to avoid my muscles stiffening. Fantastic experience: I am very thankful I found thrive. I came to them thinking I just had an atlas issue with my neck that I’ve had for 4 years, until I had a consult and they mentioned it could be a nutritional issue. I’ve seen many chiropractors in the past and they would take X-rays and tell me I can’t hold my adjustments because my neck was too weak but could never tell me how to fix it. Sometimes I was going for adjustments multiple times a week and I had headaches at least once a week if not more. I did thrives course for detoxing my body with supplements and it fixed my stomach issues I never knew I had, helped me finally lose weight when I work and now I go for maintenance adjustments as needed. I’m very thankful for everything they have done for me. All the doctors here are amazing!

These Thrive Docs are very wise and experienced and have first-hand knowledge; you can trust they will guide you in the right direction and help your body heal itself. Their advice is sound, and they are easily-likeable, accessible, & gracious. You will most likely have to make sacrifices (in your food & drink choices) but it (my journey) has been more than worth it! Pack your patience & self-discipline.....and enjoy exceptional health. I felt confident and safe in their choosing MY particular pathway to wellness goals. (To have a plan in place is a huge step in the right direction.) This is NOT a "cookie-cutter" program.
