Sign up for WIC or renew your WIC benefits by phone or in-person at the WIC office. Call the office or 888-942-2229, or text 91997 to schedule an appointment.
La Mirada WIC provides free food, nutrition classes and counseling, family resources, and breastfeeding support at no cost. Food benefits are loaded on an electronic debit card each month that can be used to shop at grocery stores that accept WIC. To qualify for WIC benefits, you must be pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 6 months, or be a caretaker of a child under 5 years old. Foster parents, dads, and caretakers are welcome to apply for their children. WIC is for low-income families. If you receive Medi-Cal, CalFresh, or food stamps, you meet the WIC income guidelines.

2 weeks ago Negative experience: Closest location to me. Drove over 20 minutes to visit and the doors were closed. Disappointing since I have limited time in my day between work, my 7 year old's school schedule, and my 2 year old. Is the location closed or were they shortstaffed? Time deferred from posted online (visited at 12:30pm).

I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Today, 5/6, we were scheduled to attend a conference and were only available for phone or online appointments. We are available now until 5:00 PM or tomorrow during regular business hours. On Friday, we will again only be available from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

6 months ago Fantastic experience: I love this WIC office and Im so grateful for them. They have always been so kind and caring with me and my baby. I had transferred to a different office and the experience was not the same so I transferred back to La Mirada and I’m here to stay.
