Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about NMC office and Dr. Kendra Kautz. After being T-boned a few months ago at a four-way stop by a driver who failed to stop, I was in severe pain. So much so that even breathing was painfully difficult. It was a scary and uncertain time, and I truly don’t know where I would be today without her care. From the very beginning, Dr. Kautz took a thoughtful and thorough approach, focusing on neuromuscular connection and identifying the root cause of my pain rather than just providing temporary relief. This is not a place that simply “pops and cracks” and sends you on your way. She’s been real intentional, knowledgeable, and caring behind every visit; not just the first visit. I’ve been seeing her consistently twice a week, and the improvements I’ve experienced have been life-changing. I’ve regained most of my movement, function, and a sense of normalcy so far and we continue to improve weekly. I am sure I would get back if I’d gone elsewhere. I am beyond incredibly grateful for Dr. Kendra and the level of care she and the staff provide. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kendra is the best! I had my bloodwork done with my primary care doctor and everything was “normal” except I wasn’t feeling that way. I did a virtual appointment with Dr. Kendra and she immediately saw things that my other doctor didn’t even mention. Fantastic experience: My boyfriend brought me in because I was having a rough pregnancy in terms of morning sickness. I had chronic bad headaches for years and also had the flu. I didn’t know how a neuromuscular doctor was going to help but it was almost a 2 hr session and Dr. Kendra found that my liver needed support, she worked through an emotional blockage in my ribs, adjusted my sacrum and my neck and now the nausea has gone away and I’ve had more relief from the headaches than I have in many years. The flu went away the next day. Dr. Steve and Dr. Kendra are the move! Western medicine isn’t working anymore.

Fantastic experience: Neuro Muscular Connection is my first stop for Health and Wellness. Dr. Shaffer has cured problems and illnesses for me that did not respond to traditional Western medicine. Dr Shaffer doesn't just treat the symptoms of a problem, he finds the source of the problem, then works to alleviate the symptoms from that source. Fantastic experience: When I first saw Dr. Shaffer in October, 2015, I had suddenly become wheel-chair bound/bed-ridden due to a sudden diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Being the mom of an infant, toddler, and preschooler, and a working pediatric speech-language pathologist, it was crucial for me to get well as quickly as possible by finding a doctor who would help me get to the root of my problems and treat the underlying cause in the most natural way possible. My heart rate was too high, my blood pressure too low. My body was not absorbing nutrients or tolerating any of the food I was eating. I was extremely sensitive to light, sound, and heat. I couldn't sleep due to sudden hormone disturbances. My body was shutting down. I had to be carried to the bathroom, bathed by others, and was barely strong enough to have my babies sit on my lap. Within 3 weeks of seeing Dr. Shaffer, I was out of the wheelchair, tolerating some foods, and able to hold my babies. Within 5 more weeks, I was up and about around the house a little bit. It has been a long journey to health, which continues on today. But because of God's grace in leading me to Dr. Shaffer, I am 80% better without the use of harmful pharmaceutical medications, back to work part-time, back to a normal diet, and -best of all- able to take care of my kids again. I have learned what is going on with my body and have been able to implement his natural treatment to bring my body back to balance. Not only is Dr. Shaffer a great chiropractor, he is extensively knowledgeable about neurological processes, issues, and treatments. He never stops learning, and he shares his knowledge with his patients so they are empowered to take part in their journey to wellness. He is extremely compassionate, open to patient ideas and questions, and truly wants to see his patients well and happy. The office staff is great. So friendly and helpful. Judy and Stacy are both awesome! Kevern has been a big help in my healing process as well, and is extremely knowledgeable in homeopathy, nutrition, EVOX, and how the body systems work together. I can honestly say that I recommend Neuro Muscular Connection for anyone looking for a team that will help them reach wellness in a natural, holistic way, whatever their ailment may be (physical injury, autoimmune disease, spinal cord injury, neurological issues, etc...you name it, they can treat it!).

Negative experience: Dr. Shaffer seemed nice at first, but when I suffered from an allergic reaction to the supplements he prescribed, he became upset at my questions and requests for clarity. He treated me like an annoyance because I did not understand or respond well to his treatment methods on the first try. What he prescribed caused me harm...and he did not care. Truly disappointed in his actions and I hope this review helps other thyroid patients avoid the same experience.
