MultiCare Rockwood Pediatrics - Spokane Main Clinic

Negative experience: I had to get shots for 3 of my children. 2 of my kids got shots which were invalid because they gave shots too early. Not once not twice but 3 times the shots were invalid for the year of 2025. When I called to complain about the situation because you literally have to hold my kids down because they are terrified of shots, multicare was rude, and made it seem like it was my fault because I did delayed shots. After we got off the phone and It made me feel like crap about myself because im a man trying to take care of my children the best i can just for them to call me back to tell me they were wrong and tried to apologize and told me there system is messed up and they are working with the I.T. person to fix it. So if 2 of my 3 kids have gotten shots that are invalid on multiple occasions, 3 different appointments 3 different days, then how many kids are they actually poking and traumatizing for no reason. I also have had a restraining order from the other parent in regards to the children and currently have custody of my kids. Everytime I've been in the office. I ive had to tell them that. That I'm the guarantor parent with guardianship and to change the information which they assure me that it is being done. I have 10 11 12 appointments a year if not more and fast forward to today I ask for a demograph sheet and still to this day not once did they change the information. I wouldnt trust this place they obviously dont care about the children or the parents. My current significant other told me she had to change from this place for her daughter to another clinic because they were rude and didn't listen.

Fantastic experience: This office is amazing with my Little.

Negative experience: I am utterly disgusted by a pediactris nurse here i took my 6 week old daughter for her 2 month check up and when it was time for tummy time the words that came out the nurse wasnt pleasent she really called my baby PATHETIC i was in shock because I didn’t know what to say. I am just mad and felt disrespected for that.

Fantastic experience: I went here as a child and have also taken my children here only because there's nothing but positive things to say about this place!

Fantastic experience: Very thankful for same day appointment

Negative experience: Impossible to get to them via call! It’s 10 a.m on Monday, but their auto response says “the office is currently closed, the office hours are 7am to 5pm, Mon-Fri” - EXCUSE ME?? The doctor is fine, but how can my baby see him when he needs to, if it’s impossible to make an appointment. And it’s not just today, they NEVER pick up. Is there any way to complain to the upper management of the office?

Fantastic experience: The Dr are awsome

Negative experience: Son had a wellness check today, doctor prescribed an antibiotic shot as oral meds aren't helping ear infection. While we waited an hour for the nurse to get herself together, my son screamed his head off. The receptionists were super rude about not being able to hear and i made it clear we cannot leave, what do you want me to do about my baby crying??? When the nurse was finally ready she was rude asking if we wanted to do this or?? Why did we wait if we didnt want the shot? Will be changing hospitals asap

Fantastic experience: Holly Whitman (PA) and Savannah the nurse assistant were both amazing today. We got great care for our baby diagnosed with RSV. They were caring and compassionate and didn’t just rush me out of the appointment as I have been in the past. Thank you !!

Negative experience: The office staff at Multicare pediatrics is the most incompetent I’ve ever seen. Avoid this clinic at all cost. I requested a referral for my child to a specialty doctor (also within Multicare). We were placed on a waiting list for several months. Once it was our turn, I learned the referral had been done in error to a clinic that didn’t accept children. I wasted precious time getting my child the help that was needed. On a different incident, I requested a medical form so my other child can practice sports at school. This form contained private information and the office staff. When I arrived to pick up the form, the front desk staff couldn’t find it. From the way the front desk staff acted, it was clear they had given my child’s private information to the wrong party. This, of course, is a violation of federal law. They never owned up to their mistake. The nurse practitioner, Megan Hall, is great as a pediatrician. It’s a shame she is surrounded by the most incompetent staff I’ve ever seen. Avoid this clinic.

Negative experience: Be prepared to wait on hold for upwards of 45 minutes just to talk to someone. The hold music is terrible as well.

Positive experience: My review is not for the pediatrician as we see Dr. Gapen and think he's wonderful, but I'm not sure why everytime I call to make an appointment i can never get through or wait upwards of 30 minutes.

Fantastic experience: We see doctor Chris Gapen here at rockwood pediatrics. He's an amazing doctor. He makes his patients and their parents comfortable. He has worked hard with my son and I to come up with a good care plan for my medically fragile child. I highly recommend him for all parents.

Fantastic experience: These pediatricians are awesome! I personally highly recommend Rockwood Pediatrics, I won't take my twins anywhere else unless it's urgent care or the emergency room. They have always been friendly, all the staff are great, and they are really good with kids! They have ALWAYS been respectful towards us and the kids, and know how to interact with kids.
