Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at the Natural Health Center since I was 23—I'm 46 now—and they’ve been a constant in my healthcare journey for a reason. They were the first to actually diagnose my health issues when other doctors couldn’t. The clinic is split between chiropractic/massage and the naturopathic side, which includes advanced nurse practitioners and (I believe) an acupuncturist as well. I usually see the naturopaths, but lately I’ve been working with a nurse practitioner who specializes in endocrinology to help manage my PCOS. The care here is thoughtful, thorough, and truly holistic. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: Over the years I have received acupuncture for a variety of reasons including acupuncture at this same clinic in the ‘90’s. I was assigned to Mark Larsen as my acupuncturist. From our initial session Mark has been the consummate professional. Kind, caring, considerate, personable, very knowledgeable and friendly with a sense of humor. I believe Mark is a Godsend. If you believe in natural healing and want to give acupuncture a try, ask for Mark Larsen at the Natural Health Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Acupuncture works! I've been seeing Sy for a while, primarily trying to use acupuncture to stimulate lower leg nerve recovery following a severe back injury and surgery. I also had ACL replacement surgery, which resulted in severe daily pain. Acupuncture is really the only treatment that relieves my knee pain naturally. For example, I had very bad pain and tightness yesterday morning after hiking mountains a couple days prior. I saw Sy at lunch and the pain was gone in the afternoon and despite a tough leg workout last night, my knee feels great this morning. I can't praise this office enough. Their front office staff is terrific, extremely kind and on top of scheduling and referral submissions, and Sy has been a blessing.

Fantastic experience: over the past few years I’ve dealt with issues with my shoulder, my elbow, and my knee. Very impressed with Dr. Hopkins who correctly diagnosed the issues and then worked to solve them through manual therapy and manipulation of the joints etc. It was very impressive! Some of the issues I had dealt with off on for a while and Dr. Hopkins was able to get me on track towards healing in a relatively short amount of time. I would recommend anyone to make Natural Health Center their first stop when looking for non-surgical assistance for various ailments. Very nice staff as well!

Fantastic experience: Lily George is exceptional. Multiple doctors wrote off my symptoms as anxiety for over a year but Lily was so understanding and reassuring. She got to the root of my problem and determined it was actually a pretty simple fix. I’m forever grateful for her and this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have been very happy with the level of care and customer service that I have been receiving from Natural Health Center. Dr Lorenc has been such an incredible provider in helping me with my upper back and neck issues. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, very caring and has exceeded my expectations. I've also received massage therapy from Kate, Kelly & Tara. All three of these MT's have been fabulous with their caring & knowledgeable massage therapies. The front office staff have always been very good to work with as well, and have been helpful with providing great service. Negative experience: I am truly disappointed to share this review, as my experience at this clinic has been far from what I had hoped for. Dr. Lorence is an exceptional chiropractor, and I believe his care is outstanding. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and communication from the receptionist and billing department has left me feeling disheartened and frustrated. Earlier this year, while pregnant and suffering from severe HG (morning sickness), I sought chiropractic and massage therapy to help manage my symptoms. During this time, I experienced issues with my phone service after purchasing a new device, which left me without a working number for several days. As a result, I missed both of my appointments for chiropractic care and massage therapy, which had been scheduled for the same day and time. I promptly reached out to the clinic, explained the situation, and provided my new phone number. When I first spoke with the receptionist, she acknowledged that I had never missed an appointment before and assured me that, given the circumstances, it shouldn't be an issue to waive the $150 fee. While I understood that waiving the fee was ultimately their decision, my main concern was the lack of follow-up. Despite being told multiple times that someone from the billing department would reach out to me, I never received any communication. My continued calls were not driven by a desire to have the bill waived, but by the repeated assurances that someone would be in touch with me, which never happened. After several attempts on my part, one of the charges was eventually waived, but the other remained unresolved. The situation became even more disheartening when I sought to return to the clinic after giving birth on October 3, following a traumatic delivery at 28 weeks, and then being involved in a car accident caused by a drunk driver just 7 days ago. Given my circumstances, I hoped Dr. Lorence could help with my recovery. However, my experience with the receptionist and billing staff was deeply disappointing. After confirming my identity, the receptionist said she would speak to billing, but the call was abruptly disconnected. I called back several times, only to have the phone repeatedly hung up on me. When I finally spoke with someone, I was met with blatant laughter, dismissive behavior and a lack of empathy, which was especially hurtful considering the personal challenges I was facing. I even inquired if I had done something to insult or offend anyone because I couldn't comprehend why I was being treated so horribly. The receptions laughed, and dismissively said no with amusement. Eventually, I was told that the remaining bill would be waived, but despite this assurance, I later received an email today stating that I still owed the amount. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I understand that billing and administrative matters can be complicated, but the lack of follow-through and communication was the primary issue. While Dr. Lorence’s care is truly excellent, the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy from the receptionist and billing department have made it difficult for me to recommend this clinic. I feel that my concerns were not addressed with the respect and professionalism I expected, and that has overshadowed what could have otherwise been a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at natural health center for about 20 years now. I can confidently say that accupuncture with Sy has changed my life. He has helped with anxiety and mental health. He’s helped with both of my pregnancies, likely preventing me from being hospitalized with pre eclampsia. And he’s helped me with multiple foot surgeries to restore circulation and reduced my healing time significantly to the point the surgeon asked me what I did to heal so fast. I also love both the chiropractors at NHC and all the massage therapists. Also amazing that everything is covered by insurance. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to write this review to commend the exemplary services provided to me by the Natural Health Center's Massage Therapist Kelly Seeley. Given that I have suffered severe neck and back pain due to several years of strenuous military obligations, Seeley has made it her goal to alleviate my physical woes by performing excellent massage techniques to relieve me of chronic lumbago and cervicalgia. Her initiative to incorporate the use of cupping, deep tissue massage and astute attention to detail has proven to me that she is a master of her craft and takes great pride in her profession. As another testament to her role as a professional massage therapist, Seeley has provided me with tips and recommendations to alleviate aches and pains on my personal time by performing self-stretches as well as unique exercises unbeknownst to myself. I appreciate engaging in small talk with Seeley during my sessions as she is definitely an ear to bend when I am in need to vent life's frustrations; above all else, Seeley is a person you can count on to provide outstanding service while also being a person you can count on to provide professional massage services. If you're ever seeking massage therapist needs and you are in the Anchorager area, be sure to seek out Kelly Seeley with the Natural Health Center. Fantastic experience: Very helpful and knowledgeable staff that will actually listen to you and provide lots of options for treatment

Negative experience: I have had so many issues with their billing department! They do not know how to bill insurance and I always owe more here than any other chiropractic or massage therapist. The massage therapist range from good to really bad, and now I am paying almost $200 for a bad massage when it should be covered under insurance. I had similar issues with my chiropractic visit last year and ended up just paying so I didn't have to deal with them anymore. Unfortunately I will not go back because their services are not worth months of phone calls to insurance to figure out their billing issues.

Negative experience: Is not a topnotch service. I used to have 2 appointments that have been canceled on the same actual appointment date.

Negative experience: Had a bad experience, my appointment got cancelled the same day 3 hours before my appointment, I feel like they choose the patient they want to see, 1st time got cancel you’ll understand but the 2nd time looks like they are just making excuses, so unprofessional and not considering the time of the patient.

Fantastic experience: I have seen naturopaths, chiropractors, massage therapists and acupuncturists here. All of them have been so helpful with my health needs. The front desk staff has always been pleasant and helpful also.

Negative experience: NP probably expected this. the nurse practitioner lily george, i think, should work at a hospital pushing drugs on sick people. She seems best suited for that vs helping people to be healthy and avoid sickness. also if you need prescriptoin, go to gethealthspan. you fill out the form online and for like 150 a month you get rapamicin. you can also get a script for other things like statins there. all 50 states are covered. I wish i knew of them way back when

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr. Birgit Lenger for four or five years. She is the best. She listens, spends time with me, informs me of options and never talks down to me. She also researches treatment options and doctors. I highly recommend her to everyone. Recently she referred me to Dr. Lorenc for back pain that had been radiating into my hip. This had been happening off and on for years, and I had been in pain at least four months. IT'S GONE! Dr. Lorenc did body work and recommended some exercises and I have been pain free for months. I almost forgot what pain free felt like. Also highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: LOVE THIS CLINIC so much, their providers have changed my life by improving my mental and physical health. This is my one stop clinic, I see their chiropractor Dr. Lorenc. I had seen about 6 chiropractors previously at other clinics and he is by far the best. He uses a non-traditional approach, not just the typical "snap, crackle, pop", he does muscle and fascia work too and my neck has never felt this good for so long! I also see Dr. Dreyer, a Naturopath and acupuncturist. She is absolutely amazing, makes me feel at ease. Dr. Dreyer actively listens and individualizes my treatment on an ongoing basis. I feel so much better, mentally and physically from natural remedies and her advice. I also see NPA Laura Evans who is extremely knowledgeable and understanding, and has helped me in so many ways through menopause including HRT (hormone replacement therapy). It's like she reads my mind sometimes and she's provides great resource suggestions and has taught me so much about connecting and improving my mental and physical health. I also see Kate for massage therapy and she's by far the best massage therapist I've ever had! Kate is an all around caring and great person and makes me feel comfortable. Her muscle work is phenomenal! Every single provider here genuinely cares about their patients and it shows every time, they also communicate well when they share the same patients for the overall wellness of each person they see. Their administrative and front desk staff are also very friendly and wonderful and make you feel welcome every time. Negative experience: Staff is nice enough but the billing is sent to an outside source. I had double insurance but claims were not sent to secondary insurance. I have been attempting to resolve this issue for over a year. In addition my secondary insurance company has called 3 times asking biller to fax over the claim. Today I received a collection threat, when I called I was told “not to worry” that my secondary insurance has been billed. I was then placed on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected. My secondary insurance confirmed that they have not received a proper payment request with details

I have gone for acupuncture (Sy Cloud), naturopathic health care (Dr. Lenger), massage, and chiropractic care. It's wonderful to be able to access all these modalities under one roof. The front desk staff is always warm and welcoming and the practitioners very caring.

Fantastic experience: Went to a specialist at Providence that essentially didn't do anything but incompetently read us our labs during two fifteen minute visits for $1,000. Natural Health Center had caring, smiling staff that cared for our needs at a staggeringly cheaper, way better experience. They offered us medications/supplements that they had in house and gave us helpful pointers for the issues we came in for. If you want great results and friendlier staff for a cheaper price, choose this place.

Fantastic experience: I have had a phenomenal experience working with Dr. Alex Dreyer at the Natural Health Center for the past several months. She is a good listener and is devoted to patient care and well-being. She is kind and calm. Safe. Dr. Dreyer truly cares about her patients and demonstrates this through the above described traits as well as by promoting continued communication outside of the office through the patient portal messaging system. She responds quickly, thoughtfully, and personally. She works hard to ensure that her patients feel included in the decision making processes concerning their treatment plan and overall health outcomes. Dr. Dreyer is professional and is an overall outstanding healthcare provider! Additionally, the Natural Health Center is a very clean facility with kind, compassionate staff who are always eager to help patients (and potential/future patients).

Negative experience: Billing and reception, on multiple accounts, has been challenging and lacking accuracy, unfortunately. I did have a pleasant experience with Dr. Lenger.

Negative experience: I went to this practice in Anchorage with High hopes. I was greated by a very rude front desk. I wanted to pay for my copay with Cash. After paying with cash I received a Bill. I called the Billing #. It was out of the country. There was a definite communications barrier. I had to give this person my card info. I would rather go to a Doctor that employs Alaskans. I will not be back.

Negative experience: love the drs but the lady that runs the place is CRAZY. I have a mask A REAL RATED MASK!!!!!! because it is clear they won't accept it!!!!!!!!!! they say because it opens 3 inches BELOW my chin!!!!!! they are not caring or compassionate!!!

Their holistic healing approach addresses you as a whole person instead of a list of symptoms. I had a particular issue for over 9 months that other doctors kept misdiagnosing. It was a practitioner at this office, after looking at all of me, that finally provided me with a solution. I started going there for women's health needs but have received general health and wellness guidance from them as well. I am also a rural village patient. Before COVID I chose to fly into Anchorage to see them because I appreciate their care so much. After COVID, my practitioner scheduled video consults and phone calls with me that were very helpful and appreciated. I have been going there for about 9 years and have had 3 different practitioners. All of them have been caring and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the Natural Health Center to everyone I know.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Wooly, it was my first appointment with him. I had been in pain for so long I couldn’t do anything but take meds and lay on a ice pack 24/7. He was wonderful!!! So talented, incredibly kind and gentle. After my appointment I felt so much better!! When only two days before I thought I would have to go to the ER! Before him I had seen Dr Abbott. I feel my health and well-being are in very good hands here and would, and do, recommend the Natural Health Center to anyone who would like holistic healthcare. I can particularly recommend Sy Cloud, my acupuncturist, and Birgit Lenger, naturopath. I've been seeing Sy for years and have found his treatments to be very effective. He is happy to explain the theory behind his style of acupuncture, which helps me to feel involved in my own care. I have only seen Dr. Lenger for appointments a few times over the years, but she has always impressed me with her thoughtful and comprehensive approach to wellness.

Fantastic experience: Have seen a few different chiropractors here all have done a fine job each using different techniques. Took my teenage son for the first time. He does not like to go to doctors of any kind, and yet for the first time he actually had positive experience. The doctor listened, gave his professional advice and didn't talk down to him. I would recommend the Natural Health Center for at least the chiropractor. We have not taken advantage of the other services as of yet, but we would have no problem trying them out.

Fantastic experience: Dr Abbott provides exactly what I want. Takes the time for a careful diagnosis, discuses it with me in detail - and only AFTER that, recommends a treatment. He does NOT get in a hurry to just make an adjustment and get me out the door, as I have sometimes seen in others.

Negative experience: My experience at that place wasn't good, is like the lowest place I been, and specially the person maria Kennedy that need to have more knowledge about how treat people.also they overcharge me and never apologize for that. Sad they lie about be good.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this place. I almost consider it my second home. The front desk, the doctors, the massage therapists.... they are all top notch! My only disappointment is that I didn't discover this place sooner in my life. They ALL care about you and you feel awesome, healthy and loved when you leave there! Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with my visit to the Natural Health Center. The employees at the front desk were exceptionally kind and professional. I had an issue with what my insurance would cover, and the billing department took the time to talk with my insurance and figure out exactly what services I could receive under my policy. I met with the Nurse Practitioner Jennifer. I have seen many different doctors in varying fields, but Jennifer was one of the best. She is very skilled and has an extensive knowledge base in many different areas of medicine. She was not hesitant to recommend options in both western medicine and alternative medicine. It is rare to find someone who is open to both and has the background and skill to intelligently explain options. She took the time to listen to my medical background and really try to understand me as a whole person. Overall, I have rarely had a visit to a doctor's office where I came away having felt so much compassion and care by the entire office.
