Fantastic experience: Me and my man are expecting our first baby so we decided to take this class as we were very new to the whole breastfeeding process. With all the information online about different pumps, and “tricks” to getting more milk out it just added to the confusion. Bonnie knows breast answered all of our questions and provided a safe, fun and interactive space for hands on demonstrations and visuals with the use of videos, print outs to take home, and plushies to really master the art of breastfeeding. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Fantastic experience: I met Bonnie 3 years ago with a 3 month old, a crazy and painful oversupply, clog after clog and ready for some control. She was an incredible listener and problem solver. I initially saw an LC who spent so much time trying to figure out if my daughter had a tongue tie (she did not), and this LC had me pumping around the clock and exacerbated my supply. I met with Bonnie and she immediately met me where i was. She heard my panic, acknowledged how much pain I was in, and came up with creative solutions to gradually lessen my supply. She was incredible with kindness, flexibility and always circled back to how I was feeling. 3 years later, I now have a newborn and with Bonnie’s help, a plan. She has already been a godsend - trouble shooting issues with me, encouraging me, offering helpful feedback so i don’t fall into the slippery slope of bad habits or trauma from my first time. Bonnie is so passionate and is INCREDIBLE about meeting you where you are. She has no other agenda other than fulfilling the journey you want for yourself and your baby, and that is a true gift.

Fantastic experience: There are not enough words to describe how amazing Bonnie is. I had a lot of anxiety about breastfeeding my second baby as I had such a hard time with the first. She was there for me through it all…always available to answer my concerns outside of appointments and office hours. She saved my sanity through 3 cases of mastitis and a tongue tied baby, and helped me to continue breastfeeding despite having to supplement with a bottle due to a possible metabolic disorder and having to go back to work and be gone for 12 hour days. My baby is almost 1 year old now. We made it! And I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Bonnie. She is absolutely the best!

Fantastic experience: Bonnie was absolutely a lifeline in the first six weeks after my baby was born. I unfortunately ended up back in the hospital 5 days post birth due to postpartum preeclampsia. As a result of stress and not seeing my baby for 2 days, my supply dropped and unfortunately he stopped gaining weight. Also, my son had a tongue tie, which Bonnie helped us identify and get to the right dentist to diagnose and resolve. 8 weeks out my baby is happy and healthy. Fantastic experience: Bonnie has helped me so much with my 2 babies. With my first we met frequently as I really struggled with nursing because of mouth ties and mastitis. She was so knowledgeable, caring and reachable. Always able to offer support in a hard situations. Very compassionate in her care of me and baby. When I reached out to Bonnie I was so exhausted and overwhelmed honestly within days of throwing in the towel on breastfeeding. After her first visit I knew I could breast fed my son and she would be there to help. Now with my 2nd baby I feel more confident in my journey knowing I started with the best. After my first session I felt better about his latch and relieved to have a pumping plan for back to work.

Fantastic experience: Bonnie's knowledge, passion, and just warm encouraging presence is so appreciated and impactful and I can't recommend enough. We were in a unique bottle refusal situation with an almost 6 month old who had previously taken a bottle. Bonnie's advice and encouragement made the difference to success. Bonnie also helped so much with pumping education and fitting am I'm so much more comfortable and effective as a result. Bonnie has a great follow up/support system afterwards with following up with resources as promised for continued learning and is available by a nice chat/appt feature.

I had been having a fairly straightforward nursing experience, so I don’t think I would have scheduled an appointment without the encouragement of my birth center. Fantastic experience: My doulas recommended Bonnie's breastfeeding class, and I am so glad they did. I learned SO MUCH. As a first time mom-to-be, I feel like breastfeeding can be very overwhelming, you often hear about what goes wrong, but not as much about what can go right and how to even do it. I learned so much in her class. She taught in a simple, non-judgmental way that made it easy to understand. She provided plenty of evidence-based education, and lots of recommendations for resources. I wish everyone could take this class.

Fantastic experience: Bonnie helped me through breastfeeding in both the good times and challenging times with both my sons. What’s unique shout Bonnie? Not only is she knowledgeable on nursing, but has a lot of expertise on pumping and flange sizing which most people don’t realize makes a huge difference! She also is MOM/parent and baby centered. Breastfeeding is a relationship where both parties needs have to be addressed and Bonnie gets this when she makes care plans and works with families. No shame, guilt or pressure from Bonnie. She makes you feel heard and supported to figure out how to make feeding work for your unique life and needs as well as your baby’s.

I have scheduled appointments with her for both of my breastfeeding journeys for different reasons and she has literally saved my breastfeeding relationship with both of my children. I recommend her to every breastfeeding mom that I know because she really meets you where you are and works to help you achieve your specific goal for feeding your baby. I even had a prenatal lactation visit with her before my youngest was born and I 100% believe the advice she gave me is what helped me establish my milk supply early. I think a visit with a private lactation consultant should be something every new mom gets when breastfeeding and you couldn't have an appointment with someone better than Bonnie!

Fantastic experience: At 3 weeks postpartum, my baby was having a hard time gaining weight. I had planned on only breastfeeding, but was not aware of the possibility of low-supply. I went from expressing 1.5 oz combined to 7 oz combined now 3 months postpartum. I am so grateful to Bonnie for giving such good advice and care while honoring every drop of milk produced in those early days. Baby is still on the weight gaining curve, and thanks to Bonnie’s expertise and support, receiving 90% of his diet from breastmilk. See her as early as you can in your breastfeeding journey!

Fantastic experience: Bonnie was a huge help to me in my breastfeeding journey! In the first couple of weeks with my baby, we were dealing with jaundice and weight gain for a 37 weeker. Bonnie helped me figure out a triple feeding schedule and routine (feeding, supplementing with a syringe/bottle, pumping) in a way that felt doable and was, thankfully, temporary. We did both a home and office visit with her and she was warm, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend Bonnie for feeding and nursing support!

Fantastic experience: Bonnie came over yesterday to help with my newborn’s latching after I had his tongue and lip ties revised earlier this week. She provided so many helpful pointers to ensure successful breastfeeding. She explained and demonstrated a very thorough regimen of stretches and exercises for me to help, all while being encouraging and optimistic about the whole process. I am already seeing improvement in his latching and nursing in these first 24 hours since seeing her, and she reminded me that she continues to provide support via email or text for the next couple of weeks to make sure everything is continuing on a good path. Fantastic experience: I didn't worry after my son didn't latch on the very first try or even the 2nd try. But when he still didn't latch after the lactation consultant came to my room at the hospital, I started getting nervous. I always thought it was a natural thing and we would figure it out. We tried and tried and no luck. I was pumping as much as I could, supplementing and trying to breastfeed all day, everyday. It ended in tears for me, my husband and baby Ben. When Bonnie was recommended, Ben was almost 3 weeks old and I figured it was probably too late for us. It's very emotional for me to be reviewing Bonnie because without her, we would never have been able to make it to where we are now. Bonnie restored confidence, brought SO much knowledge and was a great shoulder to cry on. Fantastic experience: I struggled with fit issues when my daughter was born. The nurses in the hospital tried but they were not even on the same radar of knowledge as Bonnie. She was compassionate, patient, and you knew she completely cared about your success with breast-feeding and your overall well-being. She was there always to answer any of my questions and concerns. I knew I had a cheerleader and expert all at once with her by my side. She listened to my needs and did not try to push anything on me that I didn’t want. I don’t know what i would have done without her.

Fantastic experience: After I started having issues with breastfeeding my newborn, I quickly realized I needed outside help. Those breastfeeding classes at the hospital did not prepare me at all for all the different things that can happen while breastfeeding. Bonnie was highly recommended by an amazing network of mothers. I’m so glad I called when my daughter was just 6 days old. Bonnie came to my house (which is amazing when you’re in the “I don’t leave the house.” phase of new motherhood) and we discussed the issues baby and I were having. She spent a few hours with us, observing and creating a plan of action. After her visit, I immediately felt relief and hope that I could have a breastfeeding journey with my baby. I called upon Bonnie a few times after that initial visit and always received the most genuine care and expert advice. I continue to seek her advice even now that my daughter is 6 months old. Bonnie offers a variety of classes for all of baby’s feeding stages!

Even though I have an older child, a lot has changed since then and Bonnie was full of information. My husband and I took Bonnie's breastfeeding class when we were 30 weeks pregnant with twins. Admittedly, I was a bit terrified by the prospect of having two babies and overwhelmed by the information about breastfeeding not only one child, but two. Bonnie was informative and thorough, yet she did not overwhelm. The knowledge I gained in her class helped me relax going into the last few weeks of my pregnancy and I felt prepared once the littles were earthside. My husband also found her class to me invaluable and with his help and support, I am still nursing my now 18mo old twins. Bonnie is a busy mom herself but she has made herself available for questions I've had along the way via text, email and in-person.
