Hohman Rehab and Sports Therapy

Fantastic experience: I have taken my mom to Hohman Rehab for physical therapy in Ocoee for over a month now and Helen and all the therapist there are wonderful. Helen and Ravina had helped my mom feel much better from having back pain and numbness on her foot. They also do a great job on back massages also. I love how the staffs are so friendly and attentive towards her making sure that each routine will bring improvement to her. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I had back surgery related to scoliosis, and dealt with a lot of muscle weakness and pain afterwards. I worked closely with Helen and Reese post-surgery. Helen and Reese were extremely helpful and caring. They helped tailor home exercise plans for me, mixed with cold laser therapy sessions in-office. I am feeling much better thanks to them!!

Everyone from the staff and every PT Doctor there is lovely to work with as they are the most compassionate and courteous folks that I have ever worked with in my physical therapy needs. My main therapist Doctor Helen is wonderful in every sense of the word as she goes above and beyond to make sure that my care is to the highest standard, and making sure that I understand the protocols before I leave every session. Fantastic experience: My spine doctor referred me to Hohman Rehab, Ocoee, to address a Spondylosis condition I have developed over the years and to relieve the chronic pain on the left side of my body, from the hip downward, which has plagued me for many years. It was determined that muscle tightness and weakness were a major catalyst to the pain. The staff at Hohman coordinated by Dr. Ravina Patel and Physical Therapist Helen Johnson pay great attention to the patient and their need for physical therapy according to doctor's orders. Even at times, with their "hands-on pressure" over and above the necessary protocol to relieve pain and to attend to muscle tightness. I especially recommend their Remote Therapy Management application that is planned out for each patient's schedule of exercises. Awesome protocols for Therapy!! This equals speedy recoveries and lasting strength.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Ravina and Helen for the last month to help with a degenerated disc in my lower back and they’ve been fantastic! They are friendly, welcoming, and relatable which eases the process and frustrations that can come with recovery. The exercises strike the right level of difficulty and progression to keep me from getting complacent without hitting walls of frustration or exhaustion. The staff is also very affable and makes the experience feel more like visiting friends rather than a chore. If you are in need of physical therapy I highly recommend this branch!

Fantastic experience: Reese helped me immensely after my hip replacement surgery. He taught me what to pay attention to so we could better identify the root cause of my pain. He isolated the issue and worked as hard as I did to get my leg functioning back to as normal as possible. He also helped me with what to do at home to stay well. I've been to other rehab facilities, but Hohman is the best!

Fantastic experience: This was my first experience ever with physical therapy, and I’m so glad I decided to come here. I moved to Ocoee a few months ago, and during my move I injured my back. I’d always had a bad lower back, but the extreme pain had me deciding between physical therapy or the ER. The reception team was amazing and incredibly welcoming. Nita and Kim were always attentive in explaining insurance, the schedule, rules, and so on. Beyond that, they are genuinely nice and sweet people that welcomed me each visit with a smile. They even extended themselves to give me advice on local places to go (ie. gyms, hair salons, food, etc) since they knew I was new to the area. Ravina all was my main physical therapist over the month and a half. She explained to me possible reasons for my flare ups and why the pain was focused in my lower back. She also informed me of Floridas policy on not providing care for more than 30 days without a doctor’s approval. I found a doctor and continued working with her 2-3x a week. We focused on strengthening specific muscles and being aware of when the pain starts. With her help, I’ve been able to slowly rejoin the gym and can now do many exercises on my own. I feel much more confident that my life can continue on without so much pain and fear of flare ups. Helen also guided me through some exercises on Fridays. She pushed my body in a good way and made me aware of how weakened those lower muscles are. Helen’s knowledge of the body shines through in her work. I also had two massages during my time there, and they were some of the best massages I’ve ever received! I hope to return in the future just for more massages. Overall, I think I made a great choice coming here. I always felt completely comfortable: from the receptionists, to the physical therapists, to the masseuse, to the student interns there to observe. I feel better, physically, than I have in many years. I’m so glad I decided to come here instead of seeking other medical options. I feel confident that if I continue doing these learned exercises, I will completely regain full mobility. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: My wife started therapy here a couple years ago. She started with John and Evion and they were wonderful. The girls at the front desk (Kim and Nita) are terrific. They are very personable and were always very kind to us. After my wife passed away, I hurt by back and needed PT. I did not hesitate to come back to Hohman. My therapist, Kelly, has helped me tremendously. The exercises I have been doing religiously have really helped me get back to the things I enjoy. Positive experience: Everyone was great, loved the therapists however their same day cancelation fee is too high and ridiculous. My son was sick and it was pouring rain and they said if I didn't come I would have to pay the ($45) same day cancelation fee. Won't be coming back here or recommending them.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Hohman. I graduated from Physical Therapy last Wednesday and what a difference it has made. I underwent total knee replacement surgery 10/13/23 and started outpatient therapy 2 weeks later. The staff was kind and attentive, truly cared about the well being and progress. They take the time to build a program that is right for you and your needs. You have to be willing to push yourself to the limits but I promise you in the end it pays off. I am in better shape now than before surgery. I can do anything I put my mind to thanks to Hohman. I am planning my other total knee replacement in October if this year and there is absolutely no other place I would go for physical therapy. I have to mention my Therapist Austin Wu, you were amazing, thank you for believing in me and encouraging me to do and be everything I dreamed. Thank you for giving me back the ability to be the Memaw my granddaughters deserve. Through all of this I hope I can be that one story that helps others reach their potential after surgery. You Austin are God sent and I am better for have meeting you. Your were my constant and kept my eye on the prize and for that I will be eternally grateful. I can’t thank you enough. Fantastic experience: The staff at this place is amazing! My sister had a massive stroke 8 years ago and after a few years of physical therapy at a different location, she was told she would never get any better than she was. Therefore, they ended her sessions and she didn’t have any more therapy for a couple years. She started at Hohman Rehabilitation and after the first visit, which was a consultation, my sister said “I feel like I am going to get better”. She said “I am feeling something I have never felt before “. She’s now had 10 visits and she is walking faster, and she is moving her arm a little. She has partial paralysis on her left side but she is doing so much better since she started here. She looks forward to going and she is confident that she will soon have activity of her left arm. Thank you to Kim Cano, who is the sweetest Patient Care Coordinator and person ever, and thank you to her therapist Evionn Rochester for your patience, and thank you for how you treat my sister and for helping her make progress. Fantastic experience: I just finished my final therapy appointment with Austin at Hohman Rehab Ocoee and I have had nothing short of an awesome experience start to finish. On the first day I went in, I was so upset and in so much pain and all of the ladies that greeted me were so sweet and reassuring that I’d be feeling better soon. I was dealing with the pain of a herniated disc in my low back. Austin is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He made sure I was making progress each week and I always felt comfortable working with him. Truly can’t thank Austin enough as I am no longer having pain at work and I am back in the gym!

Fantastic experience: I’ve now been to both the Clermont and Ocoee locations for two different injuries and they are both amongst the best experiences I’ve ever had in terms of anything medically related. I was very down and slow to seek assistance for recovery for my injuries at first but the team made it easy to feel comfortable and has been crucial to my recovery. Their hours work for me and the staff has consistently been amazing, patient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Maryann relived the pain I had in my back,leg, hip and also gave me a plan to keep me out of pain. It was one the best decisions I have made to go there. All appointments were right on time too!!!

Fantastic experience: Maryann Daniel have been my therapist at Holman Rehab since February 2023. She is very professional, caring and knowledgeable. She engages with the client, explaining in detail each excercise and what is should accomplish. She also assist with setting goals and provides recommendations to reach them. While I haven't reached my goals I have shown much improvement. I came to Holman Rehab with the use of a walker which I no longer need. Maryann is working with me on my balance and endurance in walking and standing for longer periods of time. I would recommend Maryann and Holman Rehab to anyone in need of physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: this place has been so wonderful for me. The staff and physical therapists are excellent and very knowledgeable. my treatment was mainly with Margi Shah and she was attentive to my problems, mainly concerning my hip. i had a right total hip replacement and Margi made sure that i reached my physical goals by the end of treatment and had my exercises personalized to continue even at home. it’s rare coming across someone as genuine and caring as she has been with me and i would always feel relieved after each visit. I can’t praise her enough!! if i ever need treatment again, this is the place i’m coming back too

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Hohman rehab in a Ocoee. The staff always greeted me with a smile and my therapist Maryann Daniels evaluated me and determined the treatment that I needed to help me. Always explaining the procedures, always showing compassion, empathy and patience in helping me to achieve my goals.

Fantastic experience: I feel that my physical therapists Magi and Sharon were wondering in supporting me both physically and emotionally. The entire staff was top notch including the receptionist Kim. It was a warm and comfortable place of kind people who genuinely want to help others.

Negative experience: one star is me being generous. despite many calls and reassurance as to the cost of a session - i was over billed. in fact i was billed for session on days that I didn't schedule or attend. On the first session , also over billed, a junior staff member performed the evaluation. this staff member was i training and took 45 minutes to do an assessment that only took 5 minutes at another provider. The staffer constantly forgot to write measurements and repeated the same process many times - in fact at one stage, she forgot which leg was the one that required treatment. Give the place a wide berth. I would never return here. There are many better and trustworthy providers.

Fantastic experience: Kind and caring staff. Nice and clean facility. They take it easy on patients at first and then push them to work harder towards their goals. I'm very happy to have received their help with my knee and I will be back if needed! Also seems like a good place for interns to get necessary training. Patients and PT students should come here!

She is my son’s therapist, we come here for my son’s toe walking problems, she is helping him step by step, teaching him the right way to exercise. Help me find the right tool to use. Fantastic experience: My experience at Hohman rehab was great! My therapist Margi was amazing, she helped me get my balance back and strengthen my legs to help with my back pain. Saturday I was able to walk around the Ocoee wellness Park and had no pain afterwards. Before therapy I couldn’t walk a block without severe pain. I also have to say the staff was wonderful, they are professional, friendly and always greeted you by your name and a smile. I’ve also have been struggling with my weight and I know this contributes to my pain. I don’t have the money right now to join a weight loss program however I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Win offered me his “The Winning Wellness Method” book for free. This shows me that everyone at Hohman Rehab really cares! I will go back to Hohman Rehab and request Margi if I need therapy in the future!

Fantastic experience: Austin and the entire staff at Hohman are absolutely wonderful. This was my 4th time needing rehab for my back and it was by far the most enjoyable and, more importantly, most helpful facility I’ve been to.

Fantastic experience: I have had an excellent experience with Maryann Daniels at Hohman Rehab in Ocoee, Fl. My first visit to Hohman and Maryann was to treat severe sciatica back in 2021. I was referred there by my friend, who had been treated by Maryann prior and recommended her highly. My pain level with the sciatica was a 10 on the pain scale and I would describe it as excruciating and debilitating. Pain meds did not touch the pain. Maryann was so compassionate and shared with me that she personally knew what I was going through as she had had painful sciatica before. Whenever I came it for my appointment, she would stretch and massage the muscles of my thigh and calf muscles first. I really looked forward to that because it was so comforting and helped relieve the pain. She showed me exercises to do to stretch those muscles and thereby open up my spine to relieve the pressure on my sciatic nerve. I would leave feeling some relief each time. To go along with the stretching, she also showed me new ways to bend and lift and pick up things so that I could incorporate those maneuvers into my daily activities, preventing further strain on my lower spine and nerves. During that time I also saw a doctor at a pain clinic for epidural steroid shots. In a few weeks, the pain eased and was tolerable. Now, when I have worked a bit too much, my sciatic nerve reminds me of its presence and I go into the stretches that I learned from Maryann to get back into pain free mode. I have returned to Maryann with consistently positive results for lower back pain, not related to the sciatica, as well as shoulder pain .I am currently in therapy with her for post operative rehab and strengthening of my shoulder joint. She is fabulous! She massages my joint and gets it nice and flexible and warm and then leads me into my exercise routine. The results are wonderful. I get more and more movement each visit and am hopeful that I will complete the program soon being as strong as I was preop. I would, and do recommend Maryann Daniels and Hohman Rehab in Ocoee to anyone in need of professional, caring physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Maryann is hands down the best PT around. Following a car accident, I was struggling with knee/hand pain that left me unable to perform simple activities and do my job. I was able to notice changes in my first session, and now after working her with, I'm back to work and using my hand. Fantastic experience: I have just completed Physical Therapy with Austin. I was suffering from tightness in my Piriformis muscle. Austin showed me a bunch of different exercises and stretches that I could do to keep it loose. Once I started to do the stretches the pain went away. Whether she’s helping you get through your exercises or at the front desk Nida is just as lovely. Maryann is an absolutely wonderful therapist. She is so knowledgeable and takes the time to explain why the different exercises will help. She is truly a gifted therapist. Fantastic experience: I have just completed a physical therapy treatment plan and have to say I am very pleased. My doctor gave me a couple of options and I chose this facility due to its convenient location. Having said that, I would travel further if I had to. All of the staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I always felt very comfortable there and the exercises they gave me improved my strength and mobility quicker than I had expected. Last, but definitely not least, is their punctuality. They never kept me waiting beyond my appointment time, and that's very important to me.

The care and concerns for my needs was totally met in strengthening from knee surgery. Austin was great and the young lady that worked with him (sorry can't remember her name) but, for a student for clinical she was awesome. Totally recommend Hohman Rehab.

Therapist Jonathan was knowledgeable and generous in his instruction as he taught me the smartest (and safest) way to strengthen my lateral movement. Fantastic experience: I have two operations on my left shoulder. And I'm under the Workers Comp program. Hohman Rehab was assigned to me to receive my therapies. I can honestly say that they are very organized and very professional in their responsibilities and duties as therapists. They strive to get the best possible results from the patient. They look for information, if they need it, in order to optimize the work they do. I do not change them for any other. I am very grateful to them for the work they are doing with me and with other patients that I can see when I have my therapies. I recommend them to everyone. Fantastic experience: People who work here make this #1 facility. Everyone, from reception to PT Professionals are very kind and caring. Feels like a family after a couple of weeks. MaryAnn is a true gem! Very knowledgeable, professional and full of empathy and understanding. She pulled me through a very challenging time in my life when I did not believe that I can recover without a major surgery. I kept doubting that PT alone can cure my multiple injuries, so I kept looking for surgeon to have it fixed. But MaryAnn and her colleges were cautiously optimistic advising me to not rush into surgery, do PT and wait and see. Well, miracle has happened and despite multiple injuries to my knee I dodged the surgery and can lead a normal life. Hohman Rehab staff cares and is trained to help you!

At my evaluation he asked me my goals and then made a plan to reach them The pain is gone and I am now strengthening areas to help prevent a reoccurrence of pain. Fantastic experience: Maryanne is the best. I had been ordered therapy and saw a couple of therapists elsewhere. I have improvement and some relief everytime I am treated which I can't say of some other places I've received therapy from. Maryanne had some specialized training which applied directly to my chronic condition and gave great relief and improvement! When I stop my treatments my pain returns. I guess I'm maryanne's patient for life.

Fantastic experience: Hohman Rehab is hands down the best physical therapy around. I couldn't walk well when I started, but after my sessions with Jonathan, MaryAnne, Kent and Margie I am walking well with no/little pain. The dry needling was painless and also helped tremendously. Andrea, the massage therapist is wonderful also. Everyone is very caring and professional with a great sense of humor!

Fantastic experience: Hohman Rehab made my physical therapy treatments an enjoyable experience. I went twice a week for postoperative wrist therapy and was greeted by smiling friendly staff!! I had Austin, who was amazing and had a great sense of humor! He was thorough and addressed my concerns with care and gave me challenging exercises. I saw improvement with my range of motion every visit. I had a surprise graduation picture taken with a certificate of completion!! I was very impressed and satisfied with Hohman Rehab. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Hohman rehab for that last few years for multiple joint/muscle issues. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. My physical therapist there is Maryann and has been absolutely wonderful. She has helped me get though my pain and limitations feeling stronger than ever. She takes time to understand and assess what the issue is and makes sure she comes up with the exercises/techniques catered to the actual problem. Fantastic experience: Hohman rehab has helped me through my shin injury by giving me game changing stretches that have improved my shin. Whenever you go, they massage your injury, they help you strengthen it, and they give you stretches to do daily, which really helps you get better from where you started. I would recommend this place to all athletes who are struggling from injuries that prevent them from competing, and to people who are limited to their activities by an injury.

I had my left knee replaced 11 years ago and had constant pain in that left knee and the doctor sent me to Jonathan and now I no longer have knee pain.
