Fantastic experience: Dr. Costello listens and helps you understand everything that may be going on! She is very knowledgeable, while being patient in making sure you are as well! She treats her patients very professionally and respectfully! Her secretary Danielle is also super helpful and respectful! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We had a 'meet and greet' first appointment with Dr. Costello. She is personable and well informed. We would have no problem having her work with us to resolve weight issues. She is not someone who simply throws a pill at you or throws a meal at you. Blood tests, cardiograms are all part of a closely watched program she puts you on. Her goal is your independence and ability to control your own weight.

Fantastic experience: I do not often do reviews but I am compelled when I want to share excellent service from a great team at North Shore Weight and Metabolism. Dr Costello and practice Manager Danielle. I have been using Dr Costello for my Diabetes management for several years. Excellent care and Service. Recently, the practice had changed to a monthly fee ( all inclusive for appointments and prescription maintenance and updates , labs, phone support etc). I have to be honest, at first I was thinking why do I want to pay a monthly fee ( $69 a month) when My Insurance would pay for the office visits and I would just pay my $30 copay? I was thinking I am just saving my Insurance Company their share of my office visit bills. But there is more to it than that. I did not want to go find another Doctor as Dr Costello and I have a history and she is delightful. She always means business and keeps me in my line on managing my Sugars. I have been on the monthly subscription with the office for over 6 months now, and I am very glad I stayed and not give in to the "penny wise pound foolish " thoughts I considered. The attention to care I receive, personalized emails and check ins by Dr Costello and Danielle is phenomenal. They help me manage my BC/BS Healthy program which gets me ALL my Diabetes and testing suppiies for No charge. This requires updates to BC/BS work sheets and test results that they always do for me, happily and expeditiously. Being part of a smaller network of clients with a busy practice is exactly what I needed. Ok so $800 a year instead of say $150 a year in copays., may seem like a lot, but to me, it is not. I feel like a personal team working on my behalf, anytime and every time I need them. Money well spent, for the well being of my health. Please do not immediately dismiss this type of business model, I almost did. I get it from the Dr 's point of view and I certainly reap the benefits from my point of view. I appreciate DR Costello and Danielle every day you could too!

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate how much time Dr Costello took with me and genuinely listened to my concerns. She even helped me with getting better pricing on lab work! She saw me as a whole person and not just individual diagnoses. I have had a hard time finding care since moving back to Maine, and I will continue to drive the hour it takes to see Dr Costello.

Negative experience: Second time physician has cancelled day of appointment. I am not even a patient yet. This time it was 10 minutes before the appointment. I had to drive 40 minutes to get here. No call or email. Unprofessional, I won’t be back and I suggest you find some other doctors office and get on a waiting list. There is a reason they don’t have one!

Fantastic experience: I have had great success as a patient of Dr. Costello's over the years. My health has improved, my weight has gone down and I have been able to maintain it. I have learned much about nutrition and what I need to do to remain healthy and not overweight. Dr. Costello and her team respond quickly to questions either through the portal or regular email. With telehealth appointments are easier than ever to schedule. And there is an app that is easy to use and connects with a scale which helps track different aspects of your body including hydration.
