Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Love my doctor but getting any medication refilled or to the prior authorization team is a joke and good luck getting ahold of anyone. Will be finding a different primary.

Negative experience: BEWARE! This is the Worst doctors office I’ve ever experienced!!! Complete waste of my time ! Whatever you do , do not go here ! They are unprofessional, inadequate, and the most non efficient doctors office I’ve ever went to !!! If they can’t handle the patients they have , common sense says , quit accepting new patients, but I guess common sense isn’t so common for the folks of Summerville primary care ‍♀️

Negative experience: I want to make this clear. I only came to this office since my primary care doctor was not on call and neither was my allergenist. I came to this office thinking I had a chronic sinus infection, which occurs alot with seasonal allergies, and I am deathly allergic to citrus fruits. I only go to other practices when they are out of office since I have trust issues, and this visit proved why I truly do not trust certain offices. This office had such strong air freshners that were indeed citrus fruits that I almost died from my throat closing up and nearly choked on my tongue! I told my allergenist office, and another specialist too. My Epipen was out of date as well at the time, and I couldn't get it filled until two weeks ago due to I can only get one once a year, and I went to this office last month. I advise this office to not use those air freshners because my mother was so close to suing since I am disabled! That's not a lawsuit this practice wants! My other doctor is in another building and when I told the nurse this happened she was furious and I will make a complaint soon when I talk to my doctor in another building when I see her at the next appointment coming up to decide on what to do! It took weeks to recover when I'm allergic to alot of anti inflammatory drugs to help that issue that would be required in the ER along with benadryl! I will never come to this building again, only my other doctor who never does this! My Mom was unhappy that I was so close to dying on the way home and we live so far away from Summerville! If you have a child that has citrus fruit allergies or any allergies to air freshners do not come to this office! Go to another building! I just had my esophagus stretched too, and now its back to square one before the surgery helped me eat and swallow food and my medication. This visit made the surgery null and void. That specialist will be notified as well and he will be furious too, because my recovery was good until now.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this practice for 2 years. Appointments are easy to make, but more importantly to, Kimberly Bova is absolutely wonderful. I can’t thank her enough for leading my medical care. She’s top notch in my opinion.

Negative experience: First Kim is fantastic and gets 5 stars. Staff who are more concerned getting me off the phone on Friday with no help. My temp is 102.5 my throat is blistered and my body is killing me. LISA wanted to know who diagnosed me rather then any ideas of treatment. My last appointment was my last in that office. Paul

Negative experience: If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. Absolutely the worst care. Nothing like having an infection for a week and still not given meds. EXCUSE-- To busy to read messages from nurses because they are seeing other patients. I was a paying patient too that didn't receive proper care. Go somewhere else people if you can.

Negative experience: My mom was seen as a first time patient by Dr. Brittany Roberts, and what a poor experience it was. I don’t want to think it was racism as we are Hispanics. My mom went because she’s been in a lot of physical pain and needed approval from a doctor to get an adjustable bed plus referrals to other specialists. The doctor did very little to make my mom feel welcomed or attended. She called me to interpret to her by phone and the doctor acted exasperated. My mom didn’t even know the doctor sent a prescription for her pain nor was explained anything about the referral to another specialist, or the approval for the bed. It’s a very sad situation because me and my husband have been seen at this practice and our experience was good.

Negative experience: My person is Rochelle Elayda. She is totally amazing, but I can never get into see her. No one answers phones. Their online appointment requests never contact you. I can't even book an appointment on the portal. Before moving to this location, service was impeccable. This location is horrific. I dont understand the disorganization. I am assuming a doctor's office has a manager. Whoever is organizing and managing this office is not performing their duties. I never ever leave bad reviews. But I get so frustrated. I have no choice but to find a new provider. I really didn't want to leave Rochelle. It's so disappointing that our physicians can't not be doctors in health anymore. Their being managed by corporate offices that are poorly managed. Get your office in order. The right person can organize your office staff to be efficient. The employees are there and working, but their not being managed to cover ALL needed areas of the office. People are counting on it.

Negative experience: Save yourself the headache. From the front staff to the office manager Lynn, no one cares. I have left several messages over a weeks span for the office manager to call me back and still nothing. Teresa is just rude. It took me 5 times calling for someone to pick up the phone. Then don’t even think about getting sick. This office is only for healthy people. They will not do a prior authorization to save your life. Period. You may die waiting for someone to get your meds authorized.

Negative experience: I got an EOB from my insurance from this facility and I have never used their services. When I called them to understand and ask them to remove the claim, she said there was nothing she could do because they didn't have me as a patient. OF COURSE, YOU DO NOT, BECAUSE I NEVER GOT SERVICES FROM YOU!!! So please explain how you can file a claim with someone’s insurance if you don't even have their information

Negative experience: As a new immigrant to the USA, l must say im completely shocked at the lack of care and respect this practice and its staff put out. You all are literally the least knowledgeable, attenuative, caring individuals l have ever had the displeasure of coming across..! I have been a T1 Diabetic for 15 years, l told you exactly what l need and on more than 6 occasions you got it wrong. You then sent me to a Endocrinologist who charged me $500 for an appointment to ask me if l was diabetic, are you kidding. Today l get an email from a debt collection agency because i disputed the fee as i received no help, no treatment and your practice manager will not return calls or emails. This is a disgrace of a care facility, l urge anyone reading this to run in the opposite direction, you would be better off using google to help, these people are disgusting...!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO BRITTANY ROBERT'S, FNP!! This is the second time I'm without my fluoxetine medication due to her inability to respond to pharmacy requests for a refill!! This medication is not to be stopped abruptly. The last time I actually went to the office in order to get results!! Extremely poor to no attention to prescription refills. She also made me extremely uncomfortable after complimenting my skin. Not just my complexion but whole body. Who does that? Creepy! Avoid at all costs! I wish I had.

Negative experience: As someone who suffers from mental health who also has had a lot of trauma, I came here to have primary care and I came to see Kimberly Bova. Not only will I be leaving a review on Google but I also will be making and filing a formal complaint. I have never had anyone make me feel so uncomfortable so unwanted. She had no interest in getting to know me as her new patient. She was very short with me very rude.When I brought up my insomnia, she immediately told me she would not help me at all when it comes to that. I explained to her that I Was receiving help with that from my Previous primary doctorI have been on medication and she could’ve easily seen that from my previous paperwork. However, she immediately said no . I’ve had insomnia since I was a kid due to my trauma. I also have ADHD When I also brought up the difficulties and quitting smoking and all the avenues, I’ve tried like the patches lozenges she literally said to me and I have this on recording because like I said I’ll be making a formal complaint. She literally told me it sounds like The problem is me. Like obviously it’s an addiction. Nicotine is very addicting and then I asked her if there is any other medication that can help and she just shut me down. When I found out, she was not a medical doctor and she was a nurse PractitionerI asked her what was the difference between a Nurse practitioner and a doctor and she got really rude about it. I came to her Because someone referred me to her, but I’ll make sure to let Everyone know what kind of treatment I received coming here. The ladies in the front desk were nicer to me Than this woman. You never know who a person is either and you never know who a person knows I promise you I will not let this go because nobody should go to a health facility and be treated that way how dare you!! Shame on you, Kim!!!! You really need to rethink your profession. This is why I record myself when I go into doctors office You never know how they’re gonna treat you. I’ve already scheduled another appointment with another primary doctor. If you could avoid this place, just Or see a different doctor because I have other friends that go here and other doctors are amazing.

Negative experience: I was misled during a hormone replacement therapy appointment. A simple PA consult ended up costing me $1230!!! I am a veteran that receives care through the VA. So I do not have private health care insurance. I emailed and called several times to speak to the billing department but it is a 3rd party, reading a script. The visit did not include separate lab work from LabCorp or the their “reading” my lab findings. The visit was misleading. I did pay for the $245 office visit and the $109 Telehealth 5 minute conversation.. I paid $ 78 for the hormone cream and my hormone issue is still not resolved. Please wave these unnecessary lab findings. I think $ 350, what I paid is more than enough for the service I received. Thank you.

Negative experience: Last week when my son died, I needed medical help and no one would help me or call me back. I did have a nurse practitioner call in a medication that would knock me out. I explained I wanted to be coherent for my son’s funeral. This is not the first time this practice hasn’t returned my calls. Not to mention during Covid, my insurance company was overcharged for a virtual visit. They do not care about their patients.

Negative experience: The absolute worst. My husband and I were patients for appx 10 yrs. We stayed when Dr Dawson left a few yrs back bc we also liked Amanda McFann but then she left (she told me their healthcare benefits & salary are abysmal. Ironic.) Still stayed, now w Kim Bova. No issues w Kim herself, but the nursing staff, namely Marcelle, has no place in a patient facing role and does everything possible to work against you instead of for you. Seems like a flat out miserable, incapable human being who takes her issues out on others. Every single time I would send msgs w requests/questions I’d get an insanely rude response. Example: thyroid med adjustment w lab results from diff doctor who tested levels only days prior. She says to send paperwork via email. I did so. She responds having read the wrong level. When corrected, denies ever getting report & I jump through 10 more hoops over the next several days to get a basic medication. That’s just one of MANY examples of her incompetency. I’ve also asked 2ce over an 2-week span that the nurse mgr or whoever is in charge to call me. Crickets. Save yourself a world of frustration and go somewhere, anywhere other than PPC. We have run to Dr Dawson’s new practice in goose creek (SO happy to have found him again!!)

Negative experience: I went to see a doctor at this place once was told there was no deductible and everything was covered. Then got a bill for services and I’ve tried to reach them ever since. I have never reached a human in two years. I did reach an answering service that refuses to take a message.?Today I called and got put through an automated phone maze with every prompt that I pushed. Doctors offices like this should be put out of business for refusing to deal with their patients and just taking their money.

Fantastic experience: We will follow Dr Henderson wherever he puts his office. He's been our primary and general Dr since moving south in 2011. Even after moving to Wilmington NC, we drove to Charleston 4x year. Never changed. With age comes appreciation for the little things, like a Dr who knows you, remembers the important stuff... I can't imagine ever having another doctor. Important Dr knows and cares, which Dr H always has, but also knows the nuisance of his patients. He can tell when I am feeling out of sorts, if I am really sick or just tired and having allergies. After all these years his heart of gold still makes us feel like we're at the right place, gonna get the best care. He always spends whatever time necessary in the appointment, he is a kind soul and has wonderful bedside manner. Very intelligent, always explains everything, true professional and still personable. I wish all professional business relationships were as genuine and I felt as trusting as how we feel about Dr. Henderson. His staff loves him, they never wanna leave him, (only if they retire) and what a testament to the heart of a medical office! His nurses are fabulous, professional and helpful. They make you feel comfortable, they're not cold or indifferent like many medical professionals I see. Dr H is top notch. We love him. Not to mention he's super smart and easy to talk to.

Allison Grimes was who I saw and she was great. Had a lot of ideas to help me more forward and get answers. My last Dr did nothing. Here I am getting results. Thank you Palmetto Primary Care. Negative experience: Absolutely sick and tired of the wait times. To make an appt is absurd. 15 minutes on hold so far with this God awful hold music. They over book constantly and I've waited no less then 45 minutes past my appt time for the last year. Maybe we should start billing the office for OUR time. I mean, what's the point of making an appointment if you don't get seen then? Just make it on a walk in basic at this rate. I ended up walking out after 1 and a half hours in the waiting room past my appt time. The quality of care has definitely fallen. Looking for a new family Dr

Negative experience: The customer service at this location has been horrible the past few times I have gone. Most recently it has taken 2 days to get a call returned after booking an appointment. Then I was told they don’t offer online appointments and I would need to call the doctors office. I have been trying to reach the doctors office for a few days with no success before finally getting through only to be told that a Covid test is required to be seen and they are not providing Covid tests. Dr Castellone was nice but his supporting staff is absolutely horrendous!

Negative experience: Slowest primary care in Summerville , they will have you in the waiting room waiting for the physician in the waiting for atleast 50 to an hour minutes with no updates . Nurses at the front are more busy talking about their personal lives than the patients

Negative experience: They where very nice but not very competent.My husbands Referrals were not sent when we asked to get a referral. And medicine was not called in. When my husband went in initially it was for depression his mental health, they asked him to fill out this paper asking about how he is feeling mentally. He filled it out and they never even mentioned it to him. They left the form in the room and we had to give it to them and they never even mentioned it again. I’m sorry but for a me that is very incompetent, especially when it comes to mental health. So we will be finding another doctor. I hope that doctors would realize that paying attention to their patients is more important than prescribing medication and making a quick visit so they can make money.

Negative experience: This place does not care about the needs of there patients. My husband went to go see Kimberly for pain management and she turned him away pretty much saying she cant help him and that he is gonna be in pain he just has to handle it on his own. This office is rude and the doctors are rude and they waste your time

Negative experience: The only reason I am giving this office any star is because of Beth Engler, PA - she is amazing and the ONLY reason I will still be going to this office with my children. I cannot speak to the other healthcare providers but the rest of the office staff we have interacted with over the past few years have raged from kind but uninformed/uninterested to inept, intolerable and at times, even rude. Wait times over the phone are inexcusably long and in office times are even worse - with NO explanation or offer of apology. My husband had a telehealth appointment that was confirmed first thing in the morning by phone call. After no text or call 15 mins after the scheduled start time, my husband called the office to be told "well she is running late sweetheart". Not only is the timing and lack of updates on the schedule unacceptable, but the tone of the staff member and how she spoke to my husband is COMPLETELY unprofessional. He is now refusing to be treated by an office who so blatantly does not show any care of the actual needs of their patients or even to pretend to be professional. So much for their supposed mission statement posted on their website: MISSION: To be your family's home for high quality, cost-effective healthcare. Fantastic experience: The ladies up front are always so nice even when they're swamped. My sons, myself and mother in law are all very happy here. We've seen all Drs at one time or another and all are wonderful. Dr Dawson is our main doctor though. He listens when no one else does. He literally saved my son's life 12 years ago. He's helped keep him healthy and strong. His nurses are really wonderful as well. If any practice is close to perfection, it's this one.
