Positive experience: Let me start by saying I’ve shopped at Pet wants for years for my dogs. Love the food for my pets but I hate the new management. It was better when it was pet wants. As someone that has shopped here for years I’m disappointed. The new hours aren’t practical, the store closes before it’s suppose to some days (this has happened to me twice), they’re out of products more frequent than not. Very annoyed with the switch.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in yesterday to check it out and was really impressed. Clean, well organized, and easy to shop. Great selection of high quality pet foods and treats! Rich was super helpful and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Shop local with Derby Paws to discover a quality selection of food, treats, enrichment items, toys, supplements, and a bunch of other products for dogs & cats. It is near the heart of Jtown and is my go-to place for my dog's treats! She enjoys the dental and pumpkin sticks.

Fantastic experience: My dog is a big fan of the brown rice and chicken. I also buy the long chews for him and the bully sticks. He is a four year old Cavalier and he is not over weight or has any digestion issues. It’s a win win. The staff is great and I have mine shipped. I don’t live close to the store. I’m quite far away from it. But get it as quickly as possible. Glad I found this place.

Amazing & friendly environment, my picky husky went through 10 different brands of food before we found petwants, he has been eating the chicken and brown rice for 3 years now and refuses to eat any other brand. They also have the best high quality treats here, my Aussie and husky especially loves the chicken hearts & antler chews.

Fantastic experience: We are one month in on the dog food from Pet Wants for our two large golden doodles, and we a very pleasantly surprised!! The food was a little bit more expensive than what we were previously using, but it lasted more than twice as long!! The dogs seem fuller faster, and are thriving!! Definitely worth it because it actually costs us less over the course of a month!! Savings and happy dogs - I'm in!

Fantastic experience: This store sells their own brand of kibble by the pound that you're unable to get anywhere else. The kibble is always less than 90 days old and they have a good variety for both cats and dogs. It is high quality nutrient dense food and doesn't contain any type of filler ingredients that you'll find in other brands of pet food. As far as dry kibble goes, this is the only thing I feed to my cat and dog. They also sell a good variety of high quality canned food, frozen raw food, and treats. Pet Wants J-town also offers free delivery for those who live within a certain proximity to the store. Do your pets a favor and start feeding them high quality food available at Pet Wants J-town.

Fantastic experience: I am never disappointed when I walk into this place, we are always greeted like a friend, they have a wonderful selection of small batch, slower cooked dog and cat kibble for optimal nutrition! Maydays favorite thing is always getting to sample a treat or two, and of course picling out a natural chew from the chew bar. Do yourself and your furbaby a favor and stop in and see for yourself! Fantastic experience: I adore this store! I stopped in to get some treats for my friend’s pets as I always find such great options here. The variety is amazing and the prices make sense for the quality and quantity. Everything in the store is organized so neatly and it’s always so clean. The ambiance is perfect. It’s so cute that they have little water bowls outside too. The service is very welcoming and I never felt like they were pressing me to find my purchases quickly or that they were “watching” me shop which made me feel at ease. I happened to find some waterless shampoo wipes while I was browsing, which was such a cool find because I had been wanting to find something to help with my senior beagle’s skin and fur recently between baths. They have been working so well and I’m so glad I stopped in! I have been recommending this place for years and I’ll continue doing so happily. He has loved every item we have ever gotten here. Items are of high quality and they even deliver in the area if needed! We are so glad we found this place! Very satisfied pup!

Fantastic experience: I love this place. My Griffin has had seizures for years. But the CBD oil I purchase from here has all but put an end to his seizures. In the two years he has been taking it, he has only had 3 seizures vs the at least monthly seizures before. Thank you J-Town Pet Wants!

Fantastic experience: Food delivery is always prompt and so convenient. Also, it's the only food I've found (grain-free whitefish & duck) for my dog's irritable bowel disease that is now allowing me to wean him off of the 3 medications he's taken for years!

They know their products, what it is made of, and which will be the best selection for your fur baby. We switched from Earth Borne to Salmon and Brown Rice. Our dogs LOVE it and hasn't had as much gas or produced as much solid waste!! Which means less waste to pick up!! Win-Win!! And they even deliver, which is very convenient. Fantastic experience: I love this place! The owner Rich is so helpful and really knows all about their products and what is the best fit for your pet! Zeke had the worst allergies and his skin was so bad and the vet swore it was chicken and I tried so many brands from retail stores he hated them and they didn’t help! Decided to pop in here over a year ago since I live in Jtown and it was the best decision I ever made! Rich knew right away and he said I bet it’s grain and he was right! Both my dogs LOVE this food!!! It’s fresh and so healthy!!! Skin allergies GONE!! Store is awesome with lots of treats so my babies always get a special treat too! Best investment for your fur babies no doubt about it!!!

Fantastic experience: We LOVE Pet Wants Jtown!! This is the only place we buy our huskies food and their treats. Everything is all natural and good for your fur babies. Our dogs love the Salmon and Rice along with the milk bones and knuckle bones. Rich and his employees are top notch and know about their products and know what to suggest.

Fantastic experience: Pet wants in Jtown is an amazing store ! When I first got my boxer puppy, I didn’t want to just give him commercial food out of pet stores . I wanted him to have the best nutritional dog food available . Rich was very helpful and showed me the difference in commercial food and Pet Wants food . My boxer loves the food, the treats, ox tails, cow ears and the green tripe twists. I’m very satisfied with Pet Wants because I know my boxer is eating healthy and safe without harmful ingredients.

I love that the food is small batch, fresh, and apparently delicious because my 3 fur babies love it; I love that the store offers a wide variety of food, toys supplements for everyone; but what truely makes this store is the owner. He loves it! He loves what he does, he loves his dogs and he loves yours. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me through several problems, from upset bellies to irritability. My dogs are healthier and happier thent they have ever been!

Fantastic experience: I stopped in recently to browse because the store is close to my office. The owner promptly greeted me and made sure if I needed any assistance that he would be happy to oblige. I was in the market for a new collar because about a week ago we took in a dog that was dumped by our house. As I was chatting with the owner about some lacerations the rescue dog had on his ear, he promptly gave me the tester jar of their healing salve and told me to take it home, no charge and see if it helped him. Within 3 days, his ear and neck wounds improved severely and within a week were totally healed! My infant daughter and I have very sensitive skin, so we are are a chemical-free household, and I love that this product has no chemicals/preservatives/parabens etc. It is safe enough for dogs to eat, because we all know they like to lick off topical ointments, and safe for mine and my daughters skin as well. I try and support local establishments whenever possible, and the kindness I was shown in this location is exactly why! They care about the quality of their products and customer satisfaction. You wont find that in corporate retail. I purchased a collar for my rescue boy that was very affordable with a lifetime guarantee, which is awesome given that my dogs love to wrestle and often damage collars annually. I also purchased a sample of some grain free dog food and both my dogs cant get enough! I highly encourage everyone to show their support to this business for all their pet needs!

Fantastic experience: Great products, Great nutrition and Great prices!!! We took our Louie into the store and he was in Heaven. The owner Rich was there to greet us and teach us about the products. Louie is doing great with the food and loves the Fluff n Tuff toy we got. This should be a mandatory stop for anyone near Jtown that has a dog or cat. We will be regulars for sure.
