Negative experience: La peor veterinaria que existe!!!

Negative experience: Rate this a ZERO!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! Wouldn't even answer the phone until 9:20. 0pens at 7:45. Then I was put on hold. Obviously they don't want to be bothered. Don't ever go there.

Negative experience: I brought my sick dog to this place. When I was sitting in the room, the vet tech kept offering services like nail cutting with outrageous prices for services, no compassion for my sick animal. This place just wants your money and could care less about your animal. Can you say MONEY HUNGRY

Negative experience: I went to their hospital because I required a letter to be given to Mesquite animal shelter, in order to to euthanize my cat. My recurring sickness had rendered me unable to take care of my pet. These people were unprofessional and lacked communication skills. I waited more than 30 minutes for them to into the exam room and at first I talked about the possibilities of my pet being adopted, however, when I found out the cat needed further test to complete the paperwork, I decided to euthanize him. However, we were told the clinic was closed and suggested we come back the next day, despite their rude lack of consideration in which they came into the exam room more than 30 minutes late. I didn't appreciate their tardiness, nor did I appreciate their suggestion of ordering test for my cat when earlier I had told them I did not have funds. So they seemed all about the money. When I would ask them simple questions. the doctor had to go out the room to obtain the answers, each time, this would take more than 10 minutes. If I ever get a new pet I would never come back to this facility.

Negative experience: I would never go there ever again. I kept thinking about writing this review, but hadn't because it is devastating to think about it. However, I think others should know. What made me think about it was that I had to have a cat euthanized because she was dying of a genetic disease, polycystic kidney disease Katy atrial Animal Hospital helped me with that, and they were wonderful. This review is about experiences I had with Town East in 2021. I had a 15 year old cat who was diagnosed with small cell intestinal lymphoma in 2019. I was taking her to Animal Diagnostic Clinic for chemo. However in October 2020, the chemo began to fail. There is no cure for it. Chemo was to buy more time for her. By January 2021, I was fairly sure it was time to help her with Euthanasia. She was suffering. But, it is hard... really hard. In October 2020, I had called Town East to get information on it. The lady who answered the phone was very nice. January 2021, I made an appointment with Town East. I wanted them to examine her and let me know if they thought it was time for euthanasia. I had forwarded all of her medical records regarding her lymphoma and treatment along with an explatoon of the purpose of the appointment. I was sure she would be euthanized during that appointment. It was very obvious that she was dying and suffering. I was early to the appointment. They came to my car to get her, and I could not even go in wearing a mask and with proof of COVID vaccinations. I was waiting for the call saying they agreed that it was time to euthanize her. However I received a very disturbing call from Dr. Rodriguez who apparently had no idea why I brought my cat in. She basically was accusing me of animal sbuse. She kept telling me how underweight she was and that she could see her spine. That is natural with intestinal lymphoma and one of the reasons I had brought her there to be euthanized. She then asked if I had considered her for testing for bowel disease. I told her my cat had small cell intestinal lymphoma. With an accusatory tone, she asked me how I knew that. I explained she had a biopsy of her small intestine. I explained her history with the lymphoma. She didn't seem to listen. I told her to read Misty's medical records I had provided. She still didn't listen. She had me check out over the phone and they brought me my dying cat. They had dewormed her without my permission. She did not have parasites and that alone could have killed her. I complained to the owner and was promised that it would be different if I brought her back which I did and still she was not euthanized and still there was confusion. It was hard enough to be losing my precious Misty and watch her suffering with her lymphoma. All of this horrible experience with Town East was very traumatic. I made an appointment with Metro Paws. They let me come in with my cat. They examined her and said her abdomen was full of the lymphoma and asked me if I wanted euthanasia. I said yes, and they let me pet her until she died. I will never forget how horrible Town East was to me when I was already devastated knowing it was time for my cat to be euthanized. They also caused my cat extra suffering.

Fantastic experience: Actualmente llevo a mis mini schnauzer Frodo (10 años) y Luna quien es una cachorrita de dos meses y ya empezaron sus citas al veterinario, nos atiende la Dra Betancourt y puedo decir que siempre me han recibido amablemente, ya somos clientes desde hace aproximadamente 3 años, antes me ayudaron con mi Lola quién falleció en Noviembre pasado, siempre tuvo cuidados medicos muy certeros y se fué por problemas propios de su edad (13 años) , la Dra Betancourt me ayudo a saber siempre en que etapa llevaba su problema cardiaco y haciéndome saber cuando ya se iba acercando su tiempo de partir, todas las chicas y Dres que me llegaron a ayudar sé que hicieron lo mejor para ella e incluso este pasado Viernes que lleve a Luna a su primer chequeo una de las asistentes me preguntó si mi corazón estaba lleno nuevamente (para mi sorpresa me reconoció ya que no muy frecuentemente me ha atendido y lo hizo mientras ella y muchas de las chicas saludaban y apapachaban con halagos y besitos a Luna) agradezco mucho sus palabras, me enterneció enormemente y por supuesto que recomiendo este lugar.

Positive experience: Charged me an “aggressive dog” fee during Covid when I was not allowed to go in the treatment area with my dog. He has separation anxiety and had an ear infection and I was not with him so easily predictable he might have snipped. I went to this vet for years before leaving after this.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my cat here since I got him. Nothing but good experiences and very good communication from office staff. Get the wellness plan it’s worth it.

Fantastic experience: Our Saint Bernard went down and unable to walk. My daughter and I were unable to pick him up to move to the car. TE sent an employee to the house to help move him into the car and remove once at the vet. Unfortunately, after diagnosis we were unable to save him. They were very kind and gentle when he was euthanized and empathetic to my daughter during this emotional time. Thank you to everyone at TE veterinary clinic.

Negative experience: Absolutely trash. Trashy business model. I bring a pet in on his deathbed and the immediate response before seeing him is that he needs $350 in shots. Should be shut down. Garbo business. Garbo people

Fantastic experience: This is Banfield pet hospital.

Fantastic experience: Came here today with a puppy my mother and I found in the trash near our home- the folks here were amazing! They helped us best understand all of the options, did a test to make sure the pup was healthy, and helped us with options on how to treat worms when the results came in. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for help best caring for their animals or any that one might find! Again, big thank you to this clinic, our family is very happy with our new adopted pup, and she is very happy to be home even if she does has to take meds for a bit.

Fantastic experience: I was on my way to work when I saw a small kitten on the curb. Someone had thrown or hit this kitten. I scooped him up and came to the nearest clinic which was here. I was immediately greeted by someone at the desk who cared and was compassionate. She advised what my next steps were to help. I also was called by Dr Martinez several times to keep me updated on this Angel I had come across. Bree a tech there also called me and we came up with a plan. I just want to express my gratitude to everyone here. We all worked together to help this sweet baby who was given a hard life. As someone who sees the cruelty in this world first hand when it comes to animals I want to say this clinic is a soft sweet place who cares. Even though he couldn’t be saved (head trauma) I know he was loved and cared for and everyone there cared and was concerned. Can’t ask for more than that. Thank you all and I will definitely recommend you when given the chance. RIP Koa.

Negative experience: We’ve been coming here for awhile because this is the closest vet from us, and usually the veterinarians are awesome! But the rest of the staff? Not so much. There was this one girl in particular, younger, wears glasses, long hair, and she was awful to me and my mom. She gave us attitude when we asked questions, and acted like she did not want to be there or want to help. I’m disappointed. I love this place but it’s very unwelcoming, you would think the younger staff would be lovely, but she had the nastiest attitude I’ve ever seen. I do not like her and will not be coming if that’s how she and the staff will be towards us. Again, I’m disappointed and it really ruined our day.

Negative experience: The last two times I have needed to bring in animal they told me to take them to an emergency clinic because they could not fit them in...what do I need them for then

Positive experience: I have brought all my animals here for everything and the banfield take over has ruined my experience. The doctors we have been seeing is no longer there, I can't schedule appointments quickly, even though my animal is sick. There are options to go to a different location, but these are my family members!! I'm not shopping for groceries! No longer feels personable.

Negative experience: I sent an order threw Chewy and had to call Chewy back just just find out that it was canceled by the vet. Reason provided: customer requested cancelation which is not true. We have only been going to this location for a year and now thinking about switching to another location.

Positive experience: UPDATE May 2021: This place has definitely changed since Banfield took over. The office staff is still nice, but the main problem is there is absolutely no continuity for anything -- patient records, notification systems, even communicating about appointments and what needs to be done. Every time I come it's as if they've never seen my pets before... long-standing issues are presented as if new, they don't have any patient history, things I warned them about when making an appointment prompt courtesy calls later as if they're informing me for the first time (I guess they don't take notes or the staff doesn't communicate with each other)... Sometimes you don't even get the doctor's progress notes or updates at the end of your visit -- I had to call to ask them for details after the fact (maybe this is only during the current drop-off situation because of covid). The text message confirmations apparently go nowhere, so your appointment is still in danger of getting cancelled if you miss the office's calls. One good thing is that, unlike other Banfields, they actually do take your pet in and do the appointment right then, so for non-surgery visits you can wait in the parking lot and don't have to leave them all day to go through an assembly line like at Petsmart. Still giving 3 stars for that and because they do a comprehensive job once they figure things out. ORIGINAL POST: I've been coming here for 6 years even since I moved to Garland 2 years ago. We love Dr Leah and the rest of the team! They are very gentle with both my dogs and the scheduling runs smoothly - I've never had a long wait past my appointment time. Also, the front desk staff has always been friendly with me, especially Michelle. We usually chat and joke while I'm waiting. No complaints!

Negative experience: I have been taking my puppy to this location and I am officially leaving the care of this clinic. They have overcharged me for the most basic vaccines and are not providing me with any information regarding pricing or any other questions I have. Further, the staff is unprofessional and rude and it has been an overall unpleasant experience. Go elsewhere.

Negative experience: This is the last time we will come here. We have been great customers for over three years and paid PLENTY. $$$$ . Since they were bought out by Banfield the service is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! They lost a loyal customer.

Negative experience: Visiting this place was the worst experience ever. I took my very sick cat. A very rude receptionist told me that my cat could not be seen today. They had appointments all day. She said you can go somewhere else if you would like. She was so rude!!! Never take your pet here!! Worst experience ever!! She had no compassion at all!!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Town East-Galloway Animal Clinic. Dr. Chelly Quinn and the entire staff have been incredible. Today I took my Abbey for her grooming appointment and the staff did an amazing job. I have found the staff to be very Professional, patient and kind in all of my dealings with them. I don't hesitate to say ❤️❤️ Give Town East-Galloway Animal Clinic a try and you will not need to look anywhere else for your Veterinary or grooming services.

Negative experience: Worst place ever! I have been taking my 3 animals there for over 30 years. The poor quality of service, non reliability, poor value, and gotten really bad. The first experience was I waited 2 hours in the parking lot before my dog was even seen for a bordetella shot and check up on 5/20. No one ever informed me during this wait why it was taking so long. The vet tech called and said they were about to take her in and an hour later finally was finished! I wrote a letter of complaint to the owner Dr. Michelle Quinn and never received a response until 2 weeks later and another phone call! Then again 7/21, they kept my cat over 7 hours just to be groomed! No access to water of any kind! Again, the poor quality of service is not there! The practice manager Lauren has no clue how to run the place, and no one cares anymore!

Positive experience: With the exit of Joe and Chelly Quin and Leah Lobnitz, this place is really not the same. Because of no return call on our cat's thyroid Rx refill, I've had enough. The message I left on Monday morning, 7.6.10 was that our Rx supply is out as of today, Thursday, 7.9.20. Still waiting at 4:10pm for the call so I can pick up the Rx. Not the way to show you care for animals and their owners. Very sad.

Negative experience: This place has gone downhill, have taken my dog twice for boarding and grooming and both times i sat in my car over 30 minutes waiting for someone to come out and get them since we cant take them into the clinic. Ever since Banfield bought this place out its ridiculous. I dont know if they are understaffed or what. Taking my business somewhere else.

Negative experience: They will charge you for extra services that they didn’t tell you were going to happen, and then not even care. I got charged an extra $50 that I really need right now.

Negative experience: If I could give this clinic zero stars, I would. I've been taking my two dogs for grooming for years and after my last experience, I will never return. I scheduled an appointment for grooming for my two Shih Tzus last Wednesday and dropped them off in the morning as usual. I called around 4pm and was informed that they were not ready to be picked up and that I would receive a call when they were ready. I did not receive any call and when I called to check in again, I got the answering machine that the clinic was closed. I decided to drive to the clinic and when I got to the clinic, it was closed!! This was so unprofessional of the staff to keep my dogs overnight when they were just scheduled for a routine grooming. I had no idea the clinic closed at 6pm and I was waiting patiently on the phone call for the clinic to let me know that they were ready to be picked up. They should have ACTUALLY tried to get in contact with me to come pick them up rather than have me worried all night about my babies. When I showed up first thing in the morning, I still had to pay for the grooming after all that. Never again will I be returning to this place and I would not recommend it to anyone looking to have their pets taken care of for grooming or otherwise.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shelly , Dr. Leah and staff are so kind and compassionate during our visits. We rescued our pup Omar after he’d been seriously injured/ hit by a car, so he has a myriad of preexisting issues. I really appreciate their care and detail covering all his needs. As his human momma i feel such comfort with him in their care.

Fantastic experience: We have been taking our pets here for years. One of our dogs has a lot of anxiety and they work with him to keep him calm and comfortable. Dr. Stephanie is wonderful, as are Dr. Joe and Dr. Chelly. We rescued a chihuahua from the streets who had heart worms and she was treated for them by Dr. Stephanie. We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Stephanie through her treatment. We also love the staff. Wendy, Michelle, Courtney, Carrie and Jonna (who recently retired) are all wonderful. They greet us and our dogs by name. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have only brought my dog here twice but both times have been a very nice experience. I never step back into the rooms with my baby but she always comes out calm and happy and the services I request are completed so I hope she is treated well back there. The staff is very informative and friendly. I would love to continue bringing her here for quality care.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to give huge kudos to this animal clinic. My dog, Penny had spinal surgery elsewhere and needed physical therapy sessions. We had our first consultation with Dr. Chelly and I was very impressed with her level of professionalism and communication. From the start, she explained to us what was going to happen with Penny and she created a "Game Plan" to get Penny as strong as possible. I searched all over DFW and this animal clinic not only has affordable options but they have amazing Dr's to help your pet. After our session we received pamphlets and a detailed e-mail explaining everything that we went over. I'm so glad we were able to find an angel like Dr. Chelly and her staff. I've been to many vets in the past and never have I been shown the back rooms. Dr. Chelly walked us throughout the whole clinic showed us all the different options they offer. This gave me peace of mind knowing my pet was in the best possible care. I'm excited to see how Penny improves over time. Again, thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place and Dr. Chelly and Dr. Joe Quinn are the greatest!! We have four dogs and they are family. Drs. Chelly and Joe and the whole staff are wonderful with our dogs and treat them with such care and compassion...like one of their own. The clinic is an hour away for me (one way) so it is not necessarily easy or convenient, but I trust their expertise, skill, and guidance that the drive is worth it!

Positive experience: I loved the vet who saw my cat and the techs are nice the people behind the counter well they take your money and make appointments but not the friendliest. Thats ok i wanted someone to take care of my cat and they are good.

Negative experience: I have taken my little yorkie here for years and have had great service, but recently my son came to town with his 1 year old Golden Retriever who was having issues with her ears. The vet treated her and we started seeing improvements. Then, we had a family vacation and could not bring her with us so decided that this would be the best place to board her so they could continue giving her ear meds and keep a closer look on her health and recovery while we were gone. When we picked her up, and got her home, we noticed that she was raw under her tail and around her private area. She had a rash all over her tummy and raw spots on her paws. They never mentioned this to us at the time of pick up nor did they tell us about it when we called in several times while away! We immediately called and got in to see the vet. The vet began treatment for allergies and she has had some relief, but after a long trip back home, she is throwing up!! There was no admission on their part of negligence while she was boarded but it was obvious by loss of hair under her tail and her privates as well as bright red raw places and scabbing. We are out over $1,000 and she’s still sick!! Since she lives out of town, we will be paying more to her vet back home to get her health back. I’m very upset about all of this!

Fantastic experience: I went with my mom close to closing time as a work in after coming home to her cat being very I'll. They worked us in and took such good care of him! They did diagnostics and went over everything. Dr. Lobnitz and Tech Jessica were awesome! We appriciate such nice and caring staff and attention to detail! I live in Forney but will be taking my 4 for babies here most likely! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: Great place, the owner is the first vet i have been to that i feel he actually cares and gives alot of input. Emily up there is the reason i bring my dog up there, she takes the stress off my hands and deals with my dog where other clinics have me manhandling a perfectly gentle giant.

Fantastic experience: My Katie dog was ten years old, diabetic, blind. We took her during the night to an emergency clinic because she was crying out and couldn't settle down. She also had a huge place on her back where she had scraped it on a concrete bench. Her arthritis was getting worse. She had 105 temp. They kept taking her to a back room for everything. We were so uncomfortable there. We asked them to give her a pain injection, and we took her home. In the morning I called TE Galloway. They told me to come on over. They took us to a room that looked like a home. Dog bed, treats etc. Katie was treated like the princess that she was, and there on the doggy bed she went to the Rainbow Bridge. Two days later I got a call that her ashes were ready to be picked up. I received a beautiful cedar box with her name on it. A ceramic paw print of Katie's paw and a copy of the Rainbow Bridge poem. They went out of their way to make this difficult time so much easier. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at TE Galloway!

Fantastic experience: I went to Town East Galloway Animal Clinic on Friday due to my dog being extremely sick, I didn't know what was wrong with her as soon as I got there they took her back and ran some test on her and found that she had Parvo they were really sweet and helpful they gave me 2 treatment plans to cure her one was to leave her there and the other was at home care which was very inexpensive, I decided to take care of her at home and give her all the meds she needed, now she is feeling so good I was really afraid she was going to die because parvo is terminal for most dogs....And I received a follow up call and that was nice. But I'm so glad I took Roxy there otherwise she might of not made it. Thanks for all your help...Words can't explain how thankful I am.

Fantastic experience: A few years back my dog, Izzy, decided it would be a good idea to jump through a closed window to get to a dog walking on the other side. The crash of glass woke me up, and I came downstairs to trails and puddles of blood all over the floor. A large shard of glass had stabbed her in the chest. Warm sticky blood flooded from her body, and I knew there was no way she would survive. After a few moments of panic, we loaded her up into the car, and drove her to the nearest vet (the one I had always used up to that point). Once we got there, we found out that the Doctor was not in yet (and wouldn't be for another hour), and the technicians suggested trying Town-East Galloway Animal Clinic. When we arrived, they immediately took her to the back and began her life saving treatment. She had to undergo immediate surgery and blood transfusion (from such a loss of blood). They called me at home and gave me regular updates on her condition throughout the day. The second day, I was able to go see her. She was drugged up and hooked up to IVs, but she was alive. The third day, I was able to take her home. She was jumping up and excited, and you'd never know she was injured if she hadn't had bandages on her chest and legs (also cut up, but not nearly as serious). She had a drain put in and I had come back after a few weeks for the removal of sutures. Now, a few years later, her scars are healed perfectly, and you'd never know she went through such an ordeal. Ever since this incident, Town-East Galloway Animal Clinic has been my vet. I have gone to them for numerous reasons, including shots, heartworm tests, and a few times that she was sick. The staff is incredibly helpful. They will sit and answer 1000 questions about anything you don't understand. They are patient and kind, and you can tell they REALLY love animals. The price is right as well. It is on the lower side of cost, and they don't push things you don't need. I can't recommend this place enough, they saved my baby girl.

Positive experience: I have been going here for over 7 years. My last couple of visits. I have not recieved the care i expected. The staff is freindly, the place is clean. I just didn't get the care i felt my cat should of recieved. I am rewriting my review because my first was a little harsh. They called me, and tried to make things right. They are good people and are willing to listen if you have a problem. I have found the awsome vet named Dr. Josh who used to work there, and has his own practice. I will be going to him, but i wouldn't hesitate to go back in emergencies because they are closer to me and have always been there when needed.

Negative experience: Prices are way to high. To much $ for the quality of service.

Fantastic experience: I love this clinic, they are friendly to you and your pets. You go in and your pet is treated like a patient instead of just a number on their to do list. They have treats of all kinds for your pet to make them feel a little less scared. Both of my dogs were scared going in the first time but by the time we left they were wagging their tails and licking the vet and staff. I recommend this clinic to all pet owners who need a caring, knowledgeable and friendly vet to take their furry family members to!

Fantastic experience: best clinic ever <3 was my first visit with my angel. staff nad doctors was perfect i will always go to them if i have problem with my husky :)

Positive experience: Average animal clinic with normal high prices. Doctors are very professional. Receptionists are not very helpful and professional. I had appointment at 9:30am. Came there at 9:15am and somehow 5 people already were there and all in front of me... How this could happen? So I only could see my vet at 10:15 - whats the point for appointments? Charged me for something I dont need and when I asked to return money they said they couldn't and credit would be given next my visit. My next visit credit already expired... Again vets are very good doctors but receptionists should be trained better as they unfortunately create the image of the clinic.

Fantastic experience: Always a positive experience! My dogs snarled at their last vet, now they are excited to see her. Such a calm environment for all pets. They genuinely care about your animals. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: AWFUL!! Stay away from this place!! The sad thing is that it's not the doctors....its's the STAFF!! Lost records, tests not done, rude staff, ignored....just awful. STAY FAR AWAY.

Negative experience: They took it upon themselves to decide what vaccinations my dogs needed before asking me. They also thought my 3 year old dachshund was a puppy and that she needed puppy shots. The vet we love moved to rowlett, and so will we!

Fantastic experience: I've been taking all of my animals to this hospital for the past 15 years. They have taken better care of me than any other vet I have ever seen. The vet, techs and office staff remember you when you come in, and are always a pleasure to deal with.
