Fantastic experience: I started going to Marina for a facial hair problem. Marina was recommended to me by my dermatologist. She is absolutely wonderful. I have been three times so far and my long standing facial hair problem is significantly reduced and almost gone. I wish I had found her along time ago.

Negative experience: Went for my first appointment with Marina yesterday for a simple eyebrow waxing. It was a pretty bad experience. Marina was unprofessional and unorganized. She hardly acknowledged me, didn’t ask any questions about what I would like done, and hurt me. Walking into the appointment I was already confused because the door was locked and you had to ring a doorbell for her to open it up for you. I waited outside so she could stop her service and let me in. No big deal but she hardly greeted me, asked for my name and for me to fill out forms. There was no pen, she said I would fill them out later but never did. She had over booked herself and I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes for my appointment. When I finally went back there she was frantic about messing up her books, which I understand. She told me to lay on the table and immediately started putting wax on me, hardly asking anything about my preferred shape. She ended up getting wax in my hair somehow and was oiling it, yanking my hair trying to get it out and it was painful. She somehow got it on top of my head and also on the hair surrounding my ears. She was apologetic, but it hurt and i ended up having to comb wax out of my hair at home because she couldn't get it all out. I was pulling hair out of my head. The wax itself was fine. A little expensive at $15. She didn't tweeze any stray hairs or trim the hairs at all. She didn't even really examine them once she was done. I was nervous to look at the final result. It wasn't terrible but my eyebrows are not the same shape at all and do have some stray hairs that should ve been taken care of. I explained to her I hadn't waxed my eyebrows in a long time and was really wanting to get back to a uniform shape... I'm not sure I'll return. In response to owner: Not sure how I could be happy with my service when you didn’t even lend me a mirror to look at it. You didn’t even examine your work when you were done. I gave you a tip because I only had cash on me and wanted to leave after such an awful experience. I hope your waxing skills get improved.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the experience of working with Marina and I am more than thrilled with my results. With my previous tech I was often left with large scabs and the progress was slow. I’ve been to a handful of sessions with Marina and she is incredibly fast but effective and I’ve had limited scabbing and no scabbing at all in some places. If you’re looking for someone who is fast, effective and professional - CHOOSE Marina! I couldn’t be happier and nothing can replace the feeling of being ready for my next steps in life. Fantastic experience: Marina is fantastic! We went to someone else for electrolysis prior to this who was nice but Marina was more efficient, less scabbing & just as kind. I would go to her over anyone else!! She doesn’t BS you like others, she is authentic, knowledgeable & is someone you want dealing with your skin. Reading a couple of the negative reviews saying she’s rude I find WILD bc some ppl don’t know how to translate “not the sales type” as “rude”. Fantastic experience: Referred to Marina by a local dermatologist for electrolysis. I was wanting permanent hair removal for stiff brown facial hairs, as well as, the blonde/white ones. Laser hair removal does not work on blonde or light colored hairs. Marina is a very kind and knowledgeable business woman and RN. Her work is quick and precise. Very clean office and workspace. I started with weekly appointments and now have “graduated” to every 2 weeks. Be patient. Put away those tweezers. You’ll be happy with the results! I am!

Fantastic experience: I’m seeing Marina for electrolysis. I have hairs in colors that laser isn’t good for, and they curve back in a way that makes them highly prone to ingrown hairs from shaving, so electrolysis was really the only long term option for me that did anything meaningful. It’s a slow process, but that’s expected with electrolysis and it’s going well. Marina has been understanding and flexible in the ways I needed. I’m grateful to Marina for her services, and happy to be going in for each visit.

Fantastic experience: Have been going since March 2022 and I haven’t even been every week. Sometimes I only one electrolysis session in a month. I am seeing amazing results in a relatively short period. I have PCOS and tried laser three different times years ago on my face and it grew back later and caused more hair. I am very happy with my results and Marina’s work.

Negative experience: UPDATE: As I sat in my car in the parking lot to type out this review (firmly away from the door of her business) she called the police on me. I’m a black woman. This lady is crazy. If you are a person of color do NOT go to her for services at all!!!! EXTREMELY unprofessional!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I could not make the original February 8th appointment she scheduled me so I called multiple days in advance to reschedule. She then offered me a Saturday February 19th appointment at 11:45AM. I plugged the appointment date and time into my calendar as we spoke and repeated it back to her multiple times. When I asked for some sort of confirmation, she said she does not send confirmations because “she works by herself.” For the record, she said the same when I requested a confirmation for my initial appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, she did not answer the doorbell and I waited outside until noon thinking maybe her current client was running over. Someone then pulled into the parking lot and when I spoke to them they said they had an appointment with her for noon. She immediately let them in when they rang the doorbell then turned to me and asked them “who’s this person with you?” I told her I had an appointment with her and she said that’s not possible, she has standing appointments with “steadies.” She then proceeded to argue back-and-forth with me (this is all in front of her client) and called me after I got in my car to continue to argue with me and accuse me of “missing” my initial appointment that I rescheduled with her almost a week in advance. She refused to accept responsibility for the situation or attempt to rectify it. I drove 30 minutes out to experience extreme unprofessionalism and have my time wasted. My advice: do not waste your time trying to get in with Marina as a new client. She is disorganized, unprofessional, and she does not send confirmations. Her phone manner could use some work in the first place but I was willing to overlook that if her results spoke for themselves. Maybe she does good work on her “steadies” but I will certainly never find out. Take heed of mine and others’ negative reviews and look elsewhere for electrology services. I recommend Amy Parker at N2Skin.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Marina for a year and half, and have been very pleased with her services and the results. She is very professional and takes the time to go over the process and the potential results. She has accommodated my work schedule to fit me in for appointments, even coming in on days when the office is closed. Her office is beautifully decorated and most importantly VERY clean! Negative experience: I was really hoping I could support this small business. I had my first visit in November after a phone consultation for electrolysis that consisted of questions like "Have you read about the process?" and directions on how to gain entrance to the office on the date of my appointment. On the day of the appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early at 11:45am for a 12:00 pm appointment to complete paperwork as instructed by Marina. I arrived and she asked if my appointment was at 11 or 12. I explained that it was my first appointment and I needed to complete paperwork. I was given a manilla folder with one page only and Marina returned to the back of the office. I asked if there was additional paperwork as there was only 1 sheet in the folder. Marina returned from the back of the and Marina stated, "There are 3 pages." I explained I only had one page and held the sheet up for her to see. She came back to the front and flipped through other folders and gave me another folder and said "Here, complete these." Once in the procedure room, I asked specific questions and asked for a more detailed consultation. Marina again asked if I had read about electrolysis. I said yes but really would like to understand the process. The response was "it's simple, you will be fine." Before she began, she asked did you shave. I replied "yes". Marina asked me "why would you do that?" I stated "well, you didn't tell me not to shave." Marina stated I tell everyone this during the consultation. I kindly explained that she had never had that conversation with me. She proceeded with my 30 minute appointment. Throughout the appointment I asked questions to understand the process and wanted to know if she could provided a time frame of when I MAY be clear of unwanted hair. Marina stated that she could not give me a time line and that anyone who told me a timeline was lying and trying to scam you out of money. At the end of my appointment, I asked about a facial skin regimen and was told to go back to "regular". Today, I had a consultation with another electrolygist. I received a warm welcome with paperwork. We reviewed my current medication lists, my skin type, my skin regimen and a complete consultation of the phases of hair growth and what it means to my process. I was also given instructions on what products I could used during my process along with recommendations on sun exposure (and no, the business did not try to sell me special products) Marina may be knowledgeable; however, I walked away from my first electrolysis appointments with more questions than I started with. Additionally, this merchant only accepts cash and never offered a receipt. As a previous small business owner, I am not sure this is an acceptable practice. I wish Marina the best with her small business; however, I am not able to support this business due to my experience.

Fantastic experience: I have PCOS. With that comes thick course hair on my face... It's honestly my #1 insecurity. However, since coming for Electrolysis treatments, my life has changed! I really can not thank Marina enough for the amazing job she does for my unwanted facial hair. Even after treatments are no longer needed, I have plans to use her services. Future spa days are ahead of me. She really is heaven sent! Thank you so so so much! . 10 out of 10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been to so many places to take care of my chin hair. None of the other places seemed to work. I started going to Marina and within a few months there was so much less hair. I have been so happy with the results! Her knowledge about the techniques she uses and the huge variety of procedures she can do is amazing! I would recommend her to anyone with lighter colored hair.

Fantastic experience: I went in for electrolysis and had the absolute best experience! I've had hair growing on my chin for a few years now and finally found someone to help me that is within my budget and is super quick about the process! I thought the time I had allotted wouldn't get me very far with the patch of hair I have but Marina proved me wrong! She's a very friendly person who knows what she's doing and I've already seen results after the first go over - I'll be scheduling some more appointments once my schedule clears up and I'm really excited about it!

Negative experience: I went to Marina once for electrolysis because the reviews were so good. When I first walked in, I was confused because no one was in the front waiting area and it was dark so I walked around and seen that someone was working on a client so I just sat up front and forgot about it. She then called me to the back and was kind of rude from the start and was often careless with the electrolysis needle, she ended up zapping my thumb which hurt like hell and she didn’t even notice. She also seemed to be in such a rush, it literally felt like all she did was tweeze the hairs and rush me out as soon as another client came in. I spent $60 for terrible service.

I make a trip all the way from Kentucky and she always treated me with respect, and like family. Marina has bent over backwards to accommodate my hair removal needs. After trying hair removal services with other business I will not go to any other place for my electrolisis needs.

Negative experience: Do your research before coming here! She does "thermolysis" not electrolysis!! Her prices are super high, there have been no results, and she's so unprofessional (and often rude). I would not recommend going to her and honestly, I feel like most of these other reviews are from her friends/family (reviews are the reason I decided to go to her and not someone else). The new place I'm going to now is half the price she charges, I see results and they're actually knowledgeable about everything electrolysis!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to an electrolysis for over 5 years. There had not been any changes really. I still had the same amount of hair but scars from the needle. My sister told me about Marina and I saw changes in her face, which sold me. I have been going to Marina for almost 6 months and the changes are amazing. She is fast and almost painless.
