Fantastic experience: I'm a physical therapist who found Linda Abel on Next Door. I had been looking for a trainer who understood the concept of starting low and going slow with my patients who were frequently re-injuring themselves at the gym, overdoing, or not making progress because of under training. Linda is highly motivating and knows exactly the right amount of exercise to avoid injury and make steady gains. What drew me to Linda is her extensive knowledge of functional nutrition so that she could coach her clients in how to nourish their bodies, lose weight if needed while building muscle. Fantastic experience: I have been meeting with Linda weekly for personal training for the past several months. Every session is different and challenges me in a new way each week. I am a lifelong runner who really only loves to run and hence I have always skimped on strength training and balancing out with my other muscle groups. I knew this meant I was leaving myself more prone to injury which lead me to seeking out personal training. With Linda's guidance and encouragement I have noticed a remarkable increase in my overall strength, and have been really, finally enjoying strength training and the best part is my runs feels stronger and faster. Linda's workouts are no joke, I'm usually sore for 2 days after our sessions so I always feel like Ive gotten my moneys worth :-) She is a calm and deliberate presence and I have truly enjoyed having the opportunity to train with her!

Fantastic experience: I came to Well Taken Care of with severe knee and hip pain. I was looking for someone to help with the my range of motion as well. Linda immediately got me to work on my lack of motion and weakness. She provided effective workouts that strengthen my quads and glutes to alleviate my knee and hip pain. In addition, the sessions were fun and informative. Linda has a lot of nutritional advice and knowledge. I feel healthier and stronger following Linda’s program. Fantastic experience: Linda is an excellent personal trainer and life coach. She has a vast understanding and knowledge of body mechanics and health and nutrition so that she can personalize an exercise program and food regimen specifically targeted to one's health issues and goals. She’s great at explaining the interplay between exercise, sleep, stress, nutrition and mental well-being. The coaching calls were a huge part of my success with this program and the weekly goal settings helped me break down my long term goal into smaller goals that didn’t overwhelm me. Fantastic experience: My daughter and I did a 10 week program with Linda and she was fantastic! We both hadn’t had much physical activity due to covid and had put on weight. Not only did we see results after the 10 weeks but Linda was great at giving us nutrition tips. I’m not going to lie, it was a tough workout but we both felt so much stronger by the end of the program. We both felt that Linda was truly invested in us and if my daughter wasn’t going away for the summer we would have continued with another 10 week session!

Fantastic experience: Linda is the best! I've spent many years of my life with upper back and neck pain that I was only ever putting a bandaid on until I finally decided it was time to find a permanent solution...hire a personal trainer. Linda is knowledgeable in so many aspects of health and fitness that it makes her excellent at tailoring each session to my specific progress and needs. Every week is different! I love that she explains the exercises and constantly cues my posture and positioning so that i can safely perform the exercise routines home. And the best part is that she is so sweet and fun that it makes our workouts something to look forward to! It's so obvious how much she truly cares and has her client's best interests at heart. I can honestly say that all of my one-on-one sessions with her and the invaluable things she's taught me over these last 6 months make me finally feel like I can be successful at maintaining my fitness/strength long after working with her.

Fantastic experience: Working with Linda has been a great experience so far! I have been able to notice big differences in the way I look but also the way I feel in terms of energy and overall wellbeing. When I first started training with her, I have been suffering from sesamoiditis for a couple of years, and I was not feeling/looking my best due to stress and not so healthy habits. My goals when starting her 12-week program were: 1. To increase energy levels so I could optimize my days, 2.To increase my endurance and 3. Toning (which has always been a bit hard for me). Linda’s training style is super motivating and builds over a very strong foundation on form, mobility and injury prevention which is key for not only a great body but a great functional body ☺️. I still have a long way to go, but now I am super excited to continue. I recommend her 100% if you are looking to integrate a long lasting and sustainable healthy routine to your life. Linda goes all the way back to the fundamentals, this makes a very difficult process pleasant, especially since you also become more self-aware of your body’s needs. You can tell Linda is always up to date and she really customizes her approach to each client’s needs. So far o have also lost 2 inches of waist and I can see toning in new areas

She takes a very innovative approach to exercise, tailored to the clients individual needs, and can make changes on the fly. I went into this only caring about the scale but she helped me realize through her coaching there is SO much more involved in personal health! She motivated me through both rigorous exercise and deep relaxation in the same session. As Covid became worse in the state, she easily shifted gears and began coaching me virtually, which was also a wonderful experience. She really takes the time to listen to you, and spends time talking about what your goals are, and helps you get there. She is the most motivating trainer I have ever met, so much so that my daughter now goes to her as well. She works with my daughter weekly on areas that she sees needs improvement to help her great ready for her high school sports. Fantastic experience: I cannot stress how highly I recommend Linda. She is much more than just a trainer. She is all around very involved in every aspect of becoming a healthier person. She makes in known mental health and physical health are both important. Her work outs are tough but she knows your limits and even gives you that boost of encouragement with each rep. Her knowledge on diet is key, she helps keep you on track without making you feel like you failed. I have never felt this good about myself and I have only been training with her for a few months. Fantastic experience: I am currently 8.5 months pregnant and I have been doing personal training sessions with Linda 4x/per month since January (before I was pregnant and throughout my pregnancy) and I love her! She customizes each session based on your personal goals, body stability, intensity preference and any target areas you are working on. Linda also pays close attention to how your body responds to certain exercises and she will custom the flow of the workout on the spot. She is also big on ensuring that tightness throughout the body is addressed for better all-around function and modality through assisted stretching - which feels amazing and makes a big difference! In the almost 12 months we've been working together, we'd never done the same workout routine twice which I love. She has also done a phenomenal job tailoring my workouts throughout my pregnancy to keep me strong and in great shape with moderate intensity and safe modifications. I would highly recommend Linda as your personal trainer before pregnancy, during pregnancy or post-pregnancy. She is incredible at what she does and again, will personalize a program just for you!

Fantastic experience: I just finished my second package of PT sessions with Linda (I did 5 individual sessions first, then did 12 duet sessions with a friend). I loved training with Linda. She’s super creative with the exercises and makes sure I get a full body work out. And she knows how to push me and keep me motivated. I sought out personal training as I was having a lot of back pain related to lifting in work. I am so much stronger now, and I rarely feel pain anymore. I’ve gone from feeling pain multiple times a day to maybe once a week, so a huge improvement. And I feel so much better about myself, my abilities, and my confidence.

Fantastic experience: After many years of being out of the exercise loop and now turning 50, I finally signed up with a personal trainer and I could not be happier. I had an old hip injury which caused me to have a lot of apprehension and anxiety about starting up a new exercise routine. Linda took that anxiety and turned it into amazing results. Fantastic experience: Linda is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about training and health counseling! Her strategy really works and she pushes you hard, but it's all so that clients can learn and grow so they become self sufficient, rather than "clients for life." Fantastic experience: After the start of my journey, I seeked a personal trainer and was paired with Linda. Already 10lbs down, Linda pushed me to my limit and encouraged me not to stop until I finished “a set.” She has taught me to not be so hard on myself and that it’s a journey not a destination.
