Negative experience: This place does not honor their package deals. My boyfriend bought a package of 10 massages for Mother’s Day from them before covid, which was about $400. When covid hit, I was uncomfortable being in close proximity with others and asked if they could extend the expiration date on the deal. They replied by saying they hadn’t seen a single case of covid at their shop, and I could wear a mask if I wanted to. I wasn’t comfortable with this and asked if they could honor the deal when the pandemic passed. They ignored me and blocked me from making any further appointments! They also ignored my voicemails. I’m not sure what prompted such an extreme reaction, since there were no harsh words exchanged between us. It was odd. We paid in advance for those massages, so I never got my money back. I feel so ripped off, I’m writing about this several years after the fact. I’m still mad they took my money, but apparently not mad enough to go to small claims court. Don’t go to this place.

Fantastic experience: I have two spinal diseases and have found that a major relief to my chronic back pain is regular massage therapy. When I moved to Colorado, I was so nervous to find another massage therapist that would be able to give me a good, thorough and deep tissue massage. I am beyond thrilled to say that Rae is my girl! Seriously, she listens to what I need and works thoroughly to get me relief with my issues!! I am always very appreciative when I leave her room and would recommend her to anyone that needs relief!

Fantastic experience: Always a GREAT experience at Rae of Light! I've been here several times with the Groupon deal, and then another great deal I got from being on their email list. It's a little hard to find at first, but it's worth the trip. I've had all of their therapists, and they have all done a wonderful job. When you walk in, you're greeted by a relaxing atmosphere, with dim lights, soft music and a selection of tea and water. Rae is really strong, so she can handle all the knots you throw at her, and uses Young Living essential oils which is also a bonus! Rae always asks how the pressure is, and then adjusts based on your response. I always leave extremely relaxed!

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing massage here, great first time deals, and better yet off buying the packages. My masseuse was incredible and really knew what she was doing. I will for sure come back, and recommend this place. The younger woman with the glasses is who did mine and she was wonderful!

Fantastic experience: Just received a 60 minute from melissa and it was very calming and left me feeling refreshed and anew. I love that Young Living oils are used, and the Lavender oil was such a nice addition to our session. Melissa was welcoming and fun, and i will be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Fantastic experience: Rae will take feedback and locations of concern very seriously and rub it all away. She is usually running a little behind but only because she is squeezing every last hit of muscle out for you. There is water and tea. I recommend bringing your own mug or bottle so you don't need to make waste. Lots of parking spots available. I recommend directly contacting them instead of using their website so you can get the exact slot you want. Great deal if you buy the packages.

Fantastic experience: Rae is the best. She has helped me with my prenatal back pain to post auto accident recovery. Before every massage, she would ask me how I feel that day and where specifically I want her to focus on. She listens to my body and changes the pressure to make me feel the best. I always feel like thousands of pounds have been lifted off my body after every massage session. Her pricing is exceptional and booking is easy. I don't think I can find anywhere else that offers such an affordable rate. I've also had massage with Izzie who is super sweet and great at what she's doing. Strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My husband found Rae of light through Groupon, it was my first Mother’s Day gift and I was finally able to use it. I booked my 60 min aromatherapy massage with Izzie. I have to admit, it’s a strange building and the elevator felt shaky/creepy but once I got to the third floor and found their suit I was instantly relaxed. I got there early to fill out paperwork and even got to read a bit of an awesome yet strange book. I liked the atmosphere a lot! It really relaxed you. Then I met Izzie. From the start she was so nice and bubbly! She was really sweet and so kind. Just so inviting which made it my experience even better. The massage was amazing! I have a problem shoulder and she relieved so much pressure and tension and now I have a bigger range of motion which I haven’t had for at least 7 years. I’m so thankful to have had such an amazing experience with such a great therapist. I will be booking with her again! Their prices without the Groupon are very reasonable. I made sure to tip her even more because my massage was that good. Give Rae of light a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Negative experience: WARNING!! WHAT A SCAM!!! I was given a groupon for this place and cannot make an appointment. I have called, texted and left numerous messages to no avail. Since the promotion ends today they'll probably contact me now and want me to pay full price. You have been warned.

Positive experience: Great massages with Melissa, and the experience was very relaxing. My therapist was very intuitive, and I felt adequate pain relief from my massage service. I've been back several times and do enjoy it when I go, but the walls are very thin and some of the therapists get very chatty with their clients.

Fantastic experience: I truly enjoyed my full experience with this massage establishment. First of all, setting up the appointment was extremely easy with the online tools available through the website. I was able to use the new customer introductory pricing and I setup a 2 hour appointment on Christmas eve with Izzie. She was simply incredible. I told her two areas where I was having some minor pain and she left me to prepare for the massage. She came in, silently (which I love) went about her business and gave me an amazing massage. The atmosphere, treatment and pricing were great. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: This place is so nice. I was worried with the pictures I saw on Google it looked like a creepy abandoned building and I had very bad thoughts running through my head when we pulled up. When we got inside though it was much better and I had to upload a better picture. Inside smells amazing and soft music is playing when you walk in. There wasnt anyone up front when I walked in, they where all helping other clients in the back. The sign has you fill out the new client form asking what type of pressure and allergies you have and a long list of other questions that are quick yes/no answers. Once that is done and your masseuse gets done and cleans up you are taken back and after a quick consult of where you want to focus on the most, high problem areas and such you are left alone to get ready. It was low lit and the sent wasnt extremely over bearing which was nice cause that can give me a head ache and I know I'm not alone. My masseuse was Rae and she did amazing. She woeked on my high problem areas and made sure I was comfortable seeing as I am pregnant. I feel so much better after my appointment and plan on coming back when I need my next one.

Negative experience: I bought the massage on groupon. I scheduled a massage with Izzy, who was very friendly and informative. And I did show up late by 6 minutes, which I am fully aware was my fault. But I had a few things that really turned my experience into a not so relaxing one. The first thing I noticed was that she had the radio on instead of the typical relaxing music. At first I thought it was a good thing because I could listen and sing along. It didn't take long for me to realize how distracting the radio became. I wasn't able to focus on the massage over the radio. Also, the walls I the building are very thin and I could hear other businesses and the cleaning service throughout my massage. Over all, not sure I'd go back again. Like I said, Izzy was good but the overall experience wasn't the best.

Negative experience: I tried this service due to a LivingSocial deal I saw advertised. It was to be a sixty minute massage using Essential oils. I was asked to get there a little early so I could fill out the paperwork but I missed a turn and got there just on time. The masseuse, Melissa, said that was "No problem". I did the paperwork, she glanced at it for all of ten seconds, and we proceeded to start. At the end of my sixty minute massage, I thought it was short on time. When Melissa left the room, I looked at my phone. The time was 9:55, a full five minutes short no matter when we started (appointment time was 9:00am). So not only did we start late, WE FINISHED EARLY. When I pointed that out, she told me she wasn't the person who was late. SO HOW DOES THAT EXPLAIN FINISHING UP EARLY TOO?!!! Then I asked if she used the Essential oils. She hesitated and then said, "NO". I showed her the ad (on the phone) saying it was included (it's something they charge an extra $10 for usually) and she just sat there with a rather dense look on her face. I did give her a $5 tip saying I usually tipped $10 for an hour massage but didn't think the situation called for a nice tip. When I got home, I went to their website and left a message for the owner, Rae, asking that she contact me. She hasn't. I cannot recommend either the service or the customer service. There are far too many people doing massage to go to one that does not treat you fairly. I would recommend Applause Therapeutic Massage at 441 Wadsworth. Ask for Lauren--she did a fabulous job.

Fantastic experience: Rae of Light always has really great deals! I use Kole and have never found a therapist who has such a great technique to work out the tight muscles without extreme discomfort. I would definitely suggest Rae of Light to anyone who enjoys a really great massage experience.

Fantastic experience: Rae of Rae of Light Aromatherapy Massage Therapy has been my massage therapist for more than ten years. Lately, I have been getting weekly massages from her. I have tried many other massage therapists, but no one comes close to Rae's willingness and ability to customize her massage to match my needs. Rae is able to concentrate on the muscle groups and other soft tissue that are causing me pain and discomfort at the time of my massage. Also, Rae's waiting area is very calming with relaxing mood music, muted lighting, and complimentary drinks, including herbal teas. Likewise, her massage room is very restful and comfortable. Various scented oils are offered with her massages. Rae has a very pleasant personality that puts me, and I'm sure her other clients, at ease. Though I am a demanding customer, Rae consistently meets and exceeds my high standards and expectations.
