Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Ananda since 2022. I initially went to see her based on my hormones postpartum and trying to balance what I believed to be PCOS. We have worked really hard the last 3 years on balancing and leading me to have another healthy pregnancy. After beginning to see her again after a hiatus after having my second child we began working on my hormones again and focusing on losing the weight and feeling better. She is really helpful and knowledgeable. She goes in depth with labs and I love her holistic approach and yet she doesn't disregard modern medicine when necessary. That's what initially drew me to her as a naturopathic doctor. She emphasizes balance and sustainability in care with your body. She cares about your well being and being the best version of you that you could be. She gives credit where credit is due and overall is a great practitioner. She can be direct, but I also appreciate that in a person and a practitioner. Sometimes we need the kick in the butt or the harsh reality of our choices. On my path to wellness and feeling alive in my body again I am so glad she was the one that popped up when I started my journey and search 3 years ago. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Stiegler for approximately 9 years. I learned about her Naturopathic practice after being basically left on my own by the PeaceHealth network to find answers to a condition I was having difficulty with. The Gastroenterology doctors I dealt with basically offered only cursory attention with a summary evaluation of my situation, and told me they had no further answers to help me resolve my condition. I, fortunately, was provided a referral from the physician's assistant that led me to Dr. Stiegler's practice. I was very skeptical at first of Naturopathic practices, but when I reached out to Dr. Stiegler and discussed with her about my situation and condition, she effectively assured and explained the Naturopathic way of healing to me. After our first consultation, I knew that she was genuinely concerned and would skillfully address my needs. Comfortable office environment. Strong advocate for healing and well being. Takes extra-ordinary care in explaining everything. Able to provide concise details in layman's terms. Participates in the patients wellness plan like no other provider! Treats the patient with dignity All in all, I have never been more impressed with a provider's ability to skillfully and carefully address my health issues. I truly believe that if all providers had the qualities that Dr. Stiegler exhibits, the path to discovering, treating, and resolving health issues would be a far less stressful and productive experience. Fantastic experience: Dr. Ananda Stiegler has been helping me for about ten years now. Thyroid management (a decade ago) by my allopathic primary care provider, with a once-yearly referral to an overworked endocrinologist, was not very successful, and my Hashimoto's problem had taken several years even to be correctly diagnosed (by a neurologist). For a variety of reasons, all on my end, I sometimes have trouble complying consistently with Dr. Stiegler's recommendations, but she has been very patient with me. She is very thorough about finding things that can be improved, and I know I feel better when I can manage to follow her advice and instructions for a sustained period.

Negative experience: I had gone to their office to purchase a supplement that was recommended by the aesthetician that shares the same building, only to be told that I would have to fill out new patient paperwork, giving my Social Security number, etc, JUST TO PURCHASE THE SUPPLEMENT. I replied that this was not a controlled substance, but the doctor got an arrogant attitude with me, so I walked out. I dodged a bullet there! Will never go to her or recommend her with that attitude. She is too full of herself to see the situation …..I was there just to try a recommended supplement that she carried. This was a few years back, but now I am looking to see a ND and came across her name and felt compelled to leave a review, although I never became a patient (which I am sure she will respond with that statement). Don’t have to see her officially to see the problem she has.

She gave me a thorough extensive exam our very first visit, looking at my entire body and going into every aspect of my life and lifestyle while figuring out an attainable health plan for me. She didn't simply focus on my one health issue I was having like most health practitioners do she asked detailed questions about my daily diet, exercise, stress levels and what my ultimate goal was. I felt heard, and unlike my experiences with conventional MD's that just want to write a script and send me on my way she was genuinely interested in my health concerns and helping me take charge of my health. I was frustrated with our current medical system and their "band-aid" prescriptions that ultimately can cause more harm than good. She helped me by adding some supplements that my diet was lacking and also looking at food allergies. They told me that my symptoms were caused by depression and that if I wanted to pursue my suspicions, I would have to see an ND because this regular MD only did "real science." After a lifetime of being not listened to or taken seriously by MDs about my gut issues and being told "its all IBS" or "see your counsellor, its just stress", Dr. Stiegler finally ran tests on my gut and gave me real answers and treatment that works with my body, not against it. Full disclosure, I have a fair bit of medical training. Dr. Stiegler operates with a very high level of intelligence, and being a patient of hers is not a "quick/easy fix" for issues. However after years of being told "its just IBS" I am ready to do what is needed to feel better. Her front office Amanda is also very helpful, friendly, and responsive. If you are looking to make some real changes to bring your health back into "Balance", then Balance in Health is the place to start. I also don't have health insurance and her rates are very reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I had many ongoing health issues following a severe infection almost 4 years, and was feeling very frustrated with multiple caregivers' appointments. An acupuncturist suggested, "But perhaps if you visit a naturopath, you may just get over the hump and resume your vitality." It was Ananda whom she recommended specifically, and after being treated by her for a couple years, I can see why. Fantastic experience: When I first saw Dr Stiegler the consequences of working 34 yrs on night shift had caught up with me. I was tired all the time, had stomach and abdominal discomfort, was always hungry, hair falling out! Lab tests based on my history and symptoms revealed what was going on "under the hood," which pointed the direction back to health. Healing my long-standing health issues took time and diligence but they have resolved. It feels so good to feel healthy again. I let her know the state I was in -- feeling my old self again -- was due to her help. How I found Dr Stiegler: After searching online I phoned an office. They couldn't see me for 3 months but the receptionist referred me to Dr. Stiegler, "who's very very good with thyroid and digestion." The first of many things I discovered was I was low on zink and Vit D even though I'd been taking them as supplements. As my gut began to heal the zink and D3 clicked in resulting in normal lab values 3 months later. PS: This was BEFORE the pandemic -- lucky to have found Dr. Stiegler!

Her knowledge of how the body works and the best ways to treat it made me feel comfortable and cared for in her hands. She was considerate of my need to conserve money and found resources that worked for my budget. I highly recommend her services!

Fantastic experience: Ananda is very caring and knowledgeable. I felt heard and felt like she wanted to think outside the box to find out what was really going on with my health. Not just put a band aid on it and move on.

Positive experience: Was very compassionate about the issues we discussed. Suggested lots of different healing routes I could take to have my issues resolved. I really appreciate the flexibility in finding mechanisms and routines that I'd actually be able to follow, instead of just having a default protocol and wanting all patients to do the same thing.

Negative experience: Recently I was looking for an ND in the area and wanted to avoid the one who was so rude to me years ago. When I saw her name and face I immediately remembered Ananda and how rude she was. I am not surprised in the least to see all these awful reviews. That is karma, girl. Healer, heal thyself.

Negative experience: in 2020, I was seeing Ananda for a few months being treated for stomach issues. In April, I experienced a miscarriage and Dr. Ananda told me that it was a “good thing” because my health wasn’t what it was supposed to be. I was APPALLED that someone (especially a doctor) would tell me that losing a child was a good thing. It broke my heart and I stopped seeing her immediately. I recently (May 2021) have now had issues with the billing department blaming me for a choice that they made regarding my billing and my insurance. I can’t believe how rude they were to me via email and the incompetency that they have displayed to take responsibility for their own decisions. I would never suggest this place to anyone nor will I ever speak highly of this business. I am extremely disappointed.

Negative experience: Saw her for much of 2012. What a waste. And all the claims of the rudeness and disrespect she displays are true. I can't believe she's still in business.

Negative experience: Disgusting rude office and staff!!! I walked in the other day to make an appointment for massage and with the doctor. I stood behind someone checking out and decided to take a seat. I sat there for a while while as she finished someone up. I wasn't even acknowledged, yet sitting right in front. I stood up to go to her desk and she just got up and walked off. I could hear the doctor throwing the "F" bomb around and squealing like a mad pig in the back!!!! What in the heck?

Negative experience: Called a few weeks ago to inquire about their hours and asked a few questions about insurance coverage. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful and answered all my questions. After calling around I found this office to be the most helpful and kind. I decided to stop in since I was downtown to pick up paperwork and get an appointment scheduled. It was really busy, maybe 5 people in the small lobby but the receptionist was fast. I took a seat so she could finish up. The doctor walks out of the back room with a patient and just started barking at the receptionist like she was a dog. She was rude and disrespectful to her, not sure how she handles being treated like that with so much grace! The doctor looks like she is a permanently pissed off type of person. No thank you. I walked out.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Stiegler is educated on both diet, nutrition, and diseases. She is fantastic with GI issues and hormone imbalances. I've learned so much from her! Since starting with her practice I've lost 20 pounds. I'm so grateful to her and her staff.
