Negative experience: LOST MY RECORDS NEEDED FOR LEGAL CASE! I went to Cohen for many years including after I was assaulted and needed follow-up care for a broken nose. I submitted the record request and they never responded for over a month. After me and my lawyer both made NUMEROUS attempts to contact them I finally got in touch with the office manager. No one knows what they're doing over there! Three months looking for records and the MR guy just now thought to check with one of the other offices? Seriously? And they still can't find them and apparently have no computer record of where they put their records. I've been forced to file a legal complaint for non-compliance with the NYS Health Department since they can't be bothered to do their job, look for the records, or have even the basic decency to communicate with me. Otherwise - if you book with them, also plan to be there welllllll beyond your appointment time. Their time is more valuable than yours so they're happy to make you wait significantly beyond your booked time before you're called back.

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy I found this office. It was life changing to discover all the different allergies I have and start a customized treatment plan. Staff is very patient, kind and professional. The office visits are quick and productive. Breathing tests and allergy shots given on site.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering with chronic sinusitis and severe allergies for years. Been to several doctors. No one was ever able to figure out what was causing my problem, all they ever did was give me antibiotics and steroids each time Since coming to Dr. Gadi my allergies has subsided significantly with the allergy shots. I would definitely give them a 10 out of 10. Not to mention, staff is friendly, professional and caring .

Negative experience: A place where you spend your time overeating. A place where the concept of apointment does not work. Why do they make an appointment so that you would be called only after 3 hours. And only after 3 hours you will be put in an office where you are still 1-1.5 waiting for the doctor to come to you for 5 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff!

Fantastic experience: Many years of antibiotics and nebulizers cause my kid was suffering from this chronic cough that I thought was only allergies. When I came into this office I learned it was asthma and I was taught to manage it rather be afraid of it. Dr Gadi explains that if you stay on top of it and continue with the treatments you can help it and maintain it. He's there to guide but we have to actually put in the work and listen to his advice along the way. I'm glad to say it's been controlled ever since and I make sure to go to follow up and continue to be consistent with all medications in the best of my ability and if I need anything I know him and his staff are always there to help. Shout out to Michelle she is amazing with children. She understands them and knows how to communicate with them. Fantastic experience: Great results. I'm a 42 old bus driver with asthma and allergic to almost everything. As I got older my symptoms worst the last straw was when I couldn't drink carrot juice anymore. So I swallowed my pride and walked in. They told me exactly what I was allergic to and how they were gonna treat it. Now I'm drinking carrot juice again and my lung are stronger.

Fantastic experience: Simply Amazing. After 10 days of suffering and 4 ER visits with mistreatment and misdiagnosed, I walked in, practically, into the office of Dr Gadi Avshalomov. He’s an extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest. Diagnosed immediately. I finally felt I found a doctor I fully trust. Thank you to Sofia, who was able to squeeze me, desperate, in, last minute.

Fantastic experience: This is a very good medical office. Stuff is polite, caring and friendly. It’s a rare combination. I haven’t seen this in a long time since living in Brooklyn. Positive experience: I don't know the performance of the Dr. Avshalomov, but I will say the receptionist, Sophie, hung up on me twice when trying to schedule an appointment. No warning given, I had barely been on the phone with her for 10 seconds. If you don't want to do your job maybe just don't pick up the phone at all. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient in this office for many years. I used to suffer terribly from allergies and very frequent sinus infections. Dr. Gadi was the only one who figured out the whole puzzle and has changed my life. With regular allergy shots and bloodwork to detect immune deficiencies; I have NEVER felt this healthy. I am thrilled! I also love everyone in the Mill Basin office. Every person truly cares about me and my health.

Negative experience: I called this office at least 5 times In 3 days. They kept telling me they would call me back once they verified my insurance. I told them how bad my allergy was. Too bad about his front desk. I was told he was a good doctor. I got an appointment with another dr and waiting to be seen.

Fantastic experience: **This review isn’t about myself it’s on behalf of my mother’s experience.** My mother has been sick for over 13 years, with an illness no one could diagnose. She has seen many doctors who would tell her what they thought she’d want to hear. Obviously that’s not helpful. Dr Avshalomov is very knowledgeable and straight up with you. After so many years, she is finally going in the right direction. His staff; Michelle, Yuliya, Rachel and Sofie are the best. My mother gets an infusion every month. My mother is very difficult to get the line in. Michele is very gentle, kind, and very patient. If she ever got frustrated nobody would be able to tell. A couple of times she had a reaction. Yulia, Michele and Rachel are so attentive and seriously do everything they can to make my mother comfortable. These infusions can take from 3 to 4+ hours depending on how she’s handling it. They constantly check on her to make sure she’s ok. Sofie is the receptionist, always friendly and on top of what she needs. Everyone knows you may have a great doctor, but the office could make you crazy. Not here. It’s great. Dr Avshalomov has other locations, she goes to the Mill Basin location. They’re the best!

Negative experience: I received a confirmation. I need an allergy test. On the front desk I showed a text with a reminder. They answered that the doctor was not here today. This is a mockery, why no one called to inform. I am very disappointed. There was no explanation for the patient, they did not even explain the reason and did not apologize. Edited 11/08/2022 I had no reason to go, waste my time and then write a bad review. I needed an allergy test. Appointment was made through Zocdoc, because it would be my first visit, of course I don't have a chart. But if I showed proof of Zocdoc, the front desk should have had my phone number.

Negative experience: Horrible place. I have been here three times. and each time I waited for the doctor for 3 hours. Today I sat with the child for 3 hours to do a skin test. all the staff said that I need to wait for the doctor, when I waited for the doctor, he told me that at the first appointment he could not do a skin test. I WAITED 3 hours to hear that he can't do this today? and none of the staff could say it! AND NO ONE OF THE STAFF CAN HELP YOU. THIS IS THE MOST DISTURBING PLACE EVER! Negative experience: The doctor himself treats the patient very badly. I came to him with my one-year-old daughter, the doctor was constantly leaving and always in a hurry. Without explaining anything, he gave us a prescription for an injection, without explaining why and how to use it. A few days after taking it, the child had an attack of adlergia several more times, completely on other products. I don't advise anyone to come here. This place is a plus for only 2 girls who work there. Сам врач очень плохо относится к пациенту. Я приходила к нему со своей годовалой дочерью, врач постоянно уходил и всегда спешил. Negative experience: Hello, If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I spent over 3 hours waiting for the doctor. At one point, I just got up and left. I wasted my whole day waiting to be seen by a doctor who loves to tell stories to his patients and make others wait (hours). People that came after me, got seen before me. Fantastic experience: Michelle was my lifesaver the other week. She is kind and knowledgeable, a try pleasure to be seen by. It made the hour long drive from along Island worth it. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Avshalomov and Michelle. An absolute dream team!

Negative experience: I would NEVER recommend Dr. Avshalamov, as he rushes you during the appointment, does not listen well or remember information you’ve told him at other appointments and speaks down to you (RUDELY) in a condescending tone, especially if you don’t understand a confusing word/medical term. Most of the staff is also extremely unhelpful, unprofessional, and does not make you feel like they truly care; especially Dr. Gadi himself. The receptionist I dealt with, named Feri, was ruder than any receptionist I’ve ever dealt with and hung up on me when I asked her for help. I saw Dr. Gadi for three years and none of my symptoms improved in the slightest and he downplays what you tell him about your symptoms/condition and honestly makes you feel like you're complaining. My last appointment with him was officially my last time stepping foot in that office. The way he spoke to me and my mother was UNACCEPTABLE. I have never had to leave a review for a medical professional in my life. I am sad that he treats other patients like this. A doctor should never make you feel bad for asking questions and should be in the healthcare profession because they truly care about helping others. Sadly, that is the opposite of Dr. Gadi Avshalomov.

Negative experience: Horrible place. Long wait time and very rude front desk whose name is Sofie!!! My child was your patient and Sofie told me to take him outside because she didn’t want to look at him as he was fussy after waiting for the doctor an hour. I had a small conversation with another unhappy patient and she told me that it also would be her last visit in that office because of the unprofessional environment.

Fantastic experience: I have two allergic kids, dr Gadi saved their lives. We are doing the treatment and my kids live a life with no symptoms, no asthma, itching, sneezing or eczema. Its a long road but a safe one. Staff is amazing, we are like family by now. Been with them for 3 yrs, highly recommended

Negative experience: I don't recommend going to this Dr. He was very pushy and tried to force my Mother to take a vaccine that was not necessary. He also billed her insurance after a visit that was abruptly ended when she refused to take this vaccine that has a million side effects. Please go elsewhere and save yourself the time.

Fantastic experience: Not really sure about negative interaction comments. I've never had an issue with any of the people there. If I did, I would address it. They see my son not only same day, usually within the hour when he's sick. We go weekly for shots, and never wait. The schedule is flexible. Common courtesy goes both ways

Negative experience: I brought my relative on sunday at 8am. We waited for 2 hours to get a “special” shot. The staff is absolutely unfriendly. If u try to ask when is your turn they can rudely respond in a very uncivil manner. Gadi is a good doctor but apparently a bad manager. No more Patients awards since 2013 - all because of this customer service he provides. Not coming anymore.

Fantastic experience: Came here 2 times already. First time was 2 years ago and he didn't find anything. This time I came all he found is an allergy for my cat. Gave me some pills and offered to come for shots. Very attentive doctor!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gadi and his staff are one of the most professional offices I've ever worked with. I started my allergy shots with them 6 years ago. When I got my first allergy test by Dr. Gadi, the results showed that I was allergic to almost everything! Before I started my process with them I had gone through various doctors, including a deviated septum surgery (bc one of the doctors I had gone to before claimed that the issue needed surgery); however, that did not work and was not the case. I also went to three other allergists and none were able to help me.... Until, I finally met doctor Gadi. They understood me, no judgements and worked with me patiently and 6 years later of slowly building up my immunity, on Aug. 21st, 2018 Dr. Gadi gave me an allergy test and I am finally cured!! I am very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone!

Negative experience: This review should be 0 stars, Google doesn't let you to put in less then 1star. It is hard to write a review for a doctor that you didn’t have a chance to meet. I took my grandson for an appointment that was scheduled for 3:30 pm, two hours later we walked out of the office without seeing a doctor. My 5 year old grandson couldn’t wait any longer, he was hungry, tired and wanted to get home after a school day. I find it absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional to make your patients wait for 2 hours. It was my first and last visit to that office. Bottom line, don’t schedule numerous patients for the same time slot. If you are looking for a doctor, look somewhere else. Don’t waist you time in this office.

Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. What a quack this guy is, after coming to see him for a better allergy pill that I’m taking now the nasty girls preformed every test under the sun only to tell me I have allergies to the same things I told them when I came in. And some other things I never heard of just to have people lined up like cattle for their once a week shot for the rest of their life. He spends all of 2 minutes with you. Went to another allergist in the area, got what I need without all the extras.

Fantastic experience: Dr Gadi has been a Godsend for my family. We absolutely love him. He gives it to you straight. My son was always getting sick with no reason and no help. We now have a diagnosis and a treatment plan that has kept him healthy. We are so thankful for Dr. Gadi and his staff.

Fantastic experience: This morning I had the pleasure of revisiting Dr Ashmalovs Great neck office. The receptionists were very pleasant . I had relocated and recently came back .. I had a rare complex inflammatory condition associated with candida, and after going to various doctors..Dr Ashmalov pinpointed the underlying cause of my symptoms ,with the correct panel of tests. He was thorough and attentive. .. I highly recommend him.

Negative experience: I have to say this is the worst doctor's office I have ever been to... I've had the great pleasure of returning for a second time to see things have not changed. First the place is always packed, and thats fine, but a waiting room that is smaller than less than a fourth of a subway car is just terrific. Finally after getting called in I sit in my chair for over an hour(i'm here to refill a prescription) to finally see an assistant ask me who I am, as they forgot I even existed in the first place. After more waiting the Doctor finally comes in to give me my new medicine, which was a 30 second process...Wasted time

Fantastic experience: it is most shocking to me to see a review indicating the the "girls" in Dr. Gadi's office are rude and condescending. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Additionally, this man is dedicated, honest and extremely concerned for his patients. Above all he is smart and has helped me immeasurably.

Negative experience: Scan artist and a fake. Everyone who shows up will have allergies and he will make you come for 5 years for shots. Avoid at all costs

Fantastic experience: After years of suffering with respiratory issues and coughs, and seeing pulmonologists and ENT's that pumped me full of medicine and gave misdiagnoses, I reluctantly began an allergy shot program with dr gadi. Less than a year later I can happily say that my symptoms have abated drastically and my quality of life has gotten back to normal. So, a special thanks to dr gadi and his staff for putting up with this difficult patient who was not a believer. I believe now. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Dr. Avshalomov and his team are the best, most knowledgeable, practical allergy specialist around. I have recommended him to people for years. His no-nonsense approach to allergy prevention (instead of useless extra medications – prescribed + OTC), reflects his deep knowledge and understanding of how the body reacts to allergens. My son has visited for years and improved 180 degrees from when he first arrived! My son is now healthy and strong, thanks to Dr. A’s conscientious and enlightened care.

Positive experience: My son was suffering from sinus infections, and was on antibiotics for almost every month. Dr. Gadi ordered bloodwork and found his immune system was lacking antibodies to fight sinus and after getting revaccinated (turbo shot), thanks God he has been doing much better. God bless Dr. Gadi. I am giving 4 stars because of the waiting period in the waiting room, on average we have to wait more than an hour before we see the Dr and usually it is packed with no place to sit and end up standing outside, but when we do see him, he does give his full attention and listens carefully to help and advise. Yes, I do recommend Dr. Gadi, - if he can help, we can wait to avoid long term suffering.

Negative experience: Doctors great workers don't care. I've been  there for an hour and a half to see him for an appointment that I made and I confirmed and they send me confirmation that it's supposed to be at 9:15 now it is 10:45 did not see the doctor yet and have 4 patients ahead of me look at the sheets they made everybody's appointment at 9:15 what kind of a doctor or staff will do such things so for that it's a star -

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Gadi for about 6 years. He is a Godsend! I went to him in bad shape. I have had asthma since I was about 3 years old. On top of asthma I have a ton of allergies. As I got older, I didnt treat my asthma or allergies properly. I would take over the counter allergy meds. I would take my asthma inhaler, but I abused it terribly. As the years went on, my asthma progressively got worse. I was unable to breath most of the time. Any activity would have me short of breath. Even walking up 3 steps was a strain. Im not over weight, my asthma had gotten that bad. Dr. Gadi saved me, I really believe that! i was also having issues with constantly getting sinus infections and always on antibiotics. He resolved all my issues. He ran blood tests and found I lose immunity to certain vaccines, this is hereditary. I had no idea. I was reimmunized and no longer get sinus infections. No more antibiotics. As for my asthma, i followed his treatment plan and get regular allergy shots. I am able to breath again and hardly use my albuterol. He is thorough, explains everything and truly cares for all his patients. I thank him for saving my life. Such a wonderful man and doctor. I would trust no one else but him. I even bring my children to him.

Negative experience: Front desk is unprofessional, I usually spend over 10 minutes on hold before I can even say a word. Girls are incredibly rude and condescending. No wonder they aren't rated well by their patients, who wants to go past the front desk, even if the Dr is amazing. Had to switch to another provider.

Fantastic experience: I and my children have been treated by Dr. Gadi for about 2 years. Two of us had severe allergies which often compromised our daily lives... and even inability to function optimally at everyday tasks, before we met Dr. Gadi. Prior to Dr Gadi ...over the course of years-, a good number of specialists and allergists (at well respected hospitals) were unable to provide any noticeable relief for us. Almost immediately after testing and starting individual customized treatments prescribed by Dr. Gadi, all three of us have had excellent results, as do many other patients we talked to in the waiting room of his office. All of Dr Gadi's staff have demonstrated a level of knowledge we had not received before from any of the other doctors, with great results. He also uncovered autoimmune deficiencies aside from allergies, which simply required one-time shots which have greatly reduced our endless recurrent bouts of illness. Dr. Gadi has the highest integrity and has refused to over treat, as one of our kids has never received allergy treatments or any medication, but he simply found her to have an minor autoimmune deficiency which was easily fixed ...with great improvement and far less illnesses. He is great at talking and explaining to my children... and always approachable and considerate of their input. Stephanie
