Girls to Women/Young Men's Health and Wellness- McKinney

Positive experience: Friendly, not intimidating at all. I loved that they sent over a very long email before our appointment with exactly what to expect at the appointment. Education about medicine options was excellent. I always like to see more patient education especially for young people learning to manage their own health.

Fantastic experience: We love GTW everyone is very understanding of my daughter's issues and we always feel comfortable here. The doctor and PA are wonderful and my daughter gets the best care, I know she wouldn't get that level of care anywhere else. One thing that would make this place perfect though is if they did on-site blood draws. My daughter is autistic and going to a Dr appt is extremely difficult for her in the first place but to then have to go somewhere else for a blood draw is sometimes just too much and can bring lots of tears and refusals. That is the only negative though, everything else here is amazing!

Positive experience: I would recommend this MDO the only reason for a four star instead of a five is that I can never get a hold of anyone by phone. It is just frustrating please hire more people to tend to phones.

I started by taking my teenage daughter here and now I also take my 12 year-old-son. We all love the practice! I never knew how much we needed a practice that specializes with adolescents. Stepping away from the pediatrician can be scary at first, but you won't regret it.

Rachel is amazing with both kids when taking vitals and giving the dreaded strep test. It is always a pleasant experience even when the kids are sick. I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sugerman and Dr. Garza are very caring, generous, and hardworking clinicians. They are skilled communicators (meaning they listen to hear as well as speak to be understood), and have shown sound judgement time and again. I don’t know how they make a living given the amount of time and energy they devote to my daughter’s care at every visit. I wish I had a primary care doctor who was equally dedicated to my wellbeing. I happen to be a doctor myself and I have so much respect for the quality of care they provide. My family and I have needed to receive a lot of medical care over the years, as well as all the care I witness as a doctor myself, and I have never met a clinician that is as dedicated and purposeful as these two.

My favorite thing about this office is that they don't just care about your physical health, but care about your mental and emotional needs as well. The staff is so great and accommodating and I feel safe going even in these current times. I have seen Dr. Garza for several years and absolutely love her.

Both our son and daughter are always given the utmost care and time. Each visit the doctors spend lots of time with each one of our children. They care about them doing well physically, and mentally. Both of them look forward to their well checks each year and even visiting when they are sick. We highly recommend this practice!
