Fantastic experience: Back in 2013 my county job offered a wellness package. I spent my money on a 6-8 wk course by Bauman called Nutrition Essentials. I was so impressed with eh class I enrolled in the Nutrition certification program in 2014. For over a decade this certification has made the greatest impact on me professionally and personally. I left my county job that I hated but had been at for over a decade and have been in Sales in partnership with a non toxic cookware line (called saladmaster). I now teach in-home cooking classes and work as a private nutritionist and get to use to my knowledge & passion for teaching people how to use foods as medicine. Bauman truly changed my life, and I am forever grateful! The education is top tier, and the reason I chose Bauman was because it was challenging and took a much deeper dive into nutrition than the average "online coaching certs". The education is so much more extensive, and in my opinion, far more impactful.

Fantastic experience: I am a recent graduate of Bauman College's Nutrition Consultant program, and I can honestly say that it is an absolutely amazing program - thoroughly evidenced based, rigorous, with an incredible teaching methodology. It is a really intense and rigorous full-time program and the entire staff at Bauman College are so incredibly supportive throughout the program and even afterwards. My professor Laura Knoff has been so generous with her time throughout the course, and she brings over 20 yrs of wisdom practicing as an NC into her classes and one on one office hour sessions - this has been invaluable to my learning - she helped me to make so many connections out of the topics I was interested in learning in depth - this is way beyond what the curriculum required of us. Our Business and Practicum course Professor Tiffany Hunter was also incredibly supportive throughout the course, and I am genuinely grateful to both of them. Other staff members that helped us are Melissa MacDonough, Anita Padilla, Suzanne Chasalow, Mira Dessy, Kati Whitney - all of them were amazing with their words of encouragement and support. I want to give a special shout out to Sue Duran who is so instrumental in helping us find that perfect placement after you graduate. Her relentless passion and energy are much appreciated!

Many offers programs and certifications based on a weekend course or couple of months programs out there in the market. Was not convinced until I found Bauman’s Program recommended by a friend. Fantastic experience: I was a student of the Nutrition Consultant program and recently graduated in May 2024. The program was excellent, and the staff at Bauman are top notch. I am based on the east coast and always wanted to go back to school to get a degree in the holistic and functional medicine space. Many of the ND schools are west coast based so that was not an option for me. My naturopath recommended this program, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The curriculum is excellent, the pace is fast, and the staff is very supportive. I am now a certified Nutrition Consultant, and the certification will support the business I own, and give me the opportunity to help my clients from a functional nutrition perspective. Fantastic experience: I am a Nutrition Consulting student here at Bauman College. I will be receiving my certificate in a few months and would recommend this course to anyone that would like to serve others and ones self by truly getting down to the cellular level on what is means to be healthy. The Nutrition Consulting program develops you to have the skills to both be a open ear to guiding others to reach their optimal health and wellbeing, but also gives you a very strong base of how our bodies function and use food on a molecular level. When I started this course I was faced with a health scare and I found both community, support and understanding from peers and instructors that empowered me to heal. Here near the end of this certificate program I find myself confident and prepared to consult others professionally on their wellbeing. This program is both deeply academic and compassionate at the same time. The instructors are passionate and very knowledgable. Highly recommend.

I have been enrolled in many different schools and universities for various degrees, certificates and continuing education opportunities, all before deciding to study nutrition. So I can say, with a lot of experience to compare it to, that studying holistic nutrition at Bauman College was an exceptional educational experience. It was life changing. From the rigorous curriculum to the depth of knowledge and experience of the instructors, from the diversity of the student population to access and time spent with both students and teachers online, you will be amazed at what a profoundly rewarding program this is. As I continue on this path and build my own nutrition business, the essence of my nutritional and health philosophies will remain rooted in what I learned at Bauman. Fantastic experience: I graduated from Bauman College in the Holistic Chef Program in August 2023. When I started the program, I had already attended traditional culinary school and had over 24 years of experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant and catering kitchens but I felt that I was missing an understanding of nutrition and how food could be used to heal our bodies. Two years before enrolling, my father was diagnosed with cancer and I knew then that this was the point in both my professional and personal life that I had to make a change and enrolled in the program. Bauman College offered me the opportunity to study whole food and how it can aid in the healing of our bodies. The Chef instructors taught the courses from a place of conviction, compassion and professionalism, while preparing the students with entrepreneurial skills. Upon graduation, I was able to immediately start my own Holistic Personal Chef Business and joyfully offering my clients healthy, nutritious, balanced customized meals for their dietary needs. Fantastic experience: The Holistic Nutrition courses are very in depth in that they teach not just about good nutrition in general but how nutrition and lifestyle help support health. We are taught how to address various health issues and also learn about the diseases that may come about as a result of a poor diet and lifestyle. All of the other staff as well are wonderful with leaving feedback on submitted assignments and lending support along the way! Fantastic experience: Bauman College opened up a world and a career for me that I had never imagined. I was burned out from working in the entertainment industry for 20+ years and knew I needed a change. I decided to go to traditional culinary school, but found that none of the instructors in that school could answer my questions of WHY we were preparing certain foods for people so, I enrolled in Bauman College's online Nutrition Consultant program and never looked back. For the first time in my life I felt excitement about the material I was studying. Learning about how nutrients impact our bodies and how sometimes healthy foods can actually cause disease and inflammation in some people blew my mind. I gained the skills to tailor a diet to an individual and, during my externship experience, started teaching this information to large groups in corporate settings as well as community organizations. A decade later, I still work with some of these organizations, presenting classes to older adults teaching them how to cook nutrient dense meals and choose foods that will be healing from them. I also run my private nutrition consulting practice, Two Hearts Nutrition, helping individuals navigate the very complicated and personal world of food to restore their energy and better manage their health. I never get tired of helping my clients put the puzzle pieces together to find a way to nourish themselves. I can finally see the difference I'm making in people's lives with my work. Over the years, I've also worked as the Wellness Educator for a big bone broth company, authored a healthy eating cookbook, and worked as an instructor for several colleges teaching cooking and nutrition classes. I've come full circle back to Bauman College and manage the Holistic Chef Culinary Program where we not only teach you to cook delicious meals, but also show WHY these foods are health supportive and HOW you can utilize them to help people heal. I wholeheartedly recommend Bauman College to anyone who has a passion for feeding people and wants to see them flourish.

Fantastic experience: I attended Bauman College a number of years ago for the in-person holistic culinary program. It opened my eyes to a whole culinary world beyond flavors and techniques, feeding my love for food, igniting my passion for cooking, and teaching me concrete knowledge about how to use these culinary skills to support health and wellbeing. Holistic Chefs are needed so greatly now as more and more people need support with specialty diets to feel their best while living with various health conditions. Fantastic experience: Thus far, Bauman College has been the best educational experience that I have received. I have a business degree and pastry diploma; actively working in pastry. I am currently in the midst of the Holistic Nutrition Consultant program, and it has been life-changing. The program itself spans 15-months, and covers in-depth aspects of holistic healthfulness. The program is also designed in a way that reaches any learning style an individual might have (application of concepts is a key step for me), and accompanied with an abundance of resources. As we all do, I have encountered several personal challenges during the course of this program, and I can't speak enough gratitude for the staff, who have gone above and beyond everyday to guide us to reaching our goals. I have never experienced a more supportive educational team. I'm inspired to work with and educate youth about how to make the best nutrition and lifestyle choices for themselves, as well as equipping them with the tools to overcome systemic barriers that have long existed. Fantastic experience: I completed the Holistic Chef program in July of 2022 and it was the best decision I could have made for myself. Since graduating my husband and I bought a Bed and Breakfast where I am now running my own business and cooking for guests with a variety of dietary preferences at Loganberry Inn. It had always been a dream of mine to own a B&B and graduating from the chef program gave me the confidence and skills to pursue that dream. The program was a great introduction to so many techniques, specialty diets, world flavors and traditions, business, and getting real world experience through the externship has proven to be a valuable addition to the program. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and truly want every student to succeed. This isn't like trying to learn off of YouTube videos, this is real life experience and training. Attending the weekly classes and staying on pace with the lessons and cooking labs is intense but once you graduate you will be amazed at everything you learned and can do. You will be "thinking like a chef" and able to pursue your own dream!

Fantastic experience: Participating in this wonderful training was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Through the readings, multimedia resources and reflective exercises, I harvested a bounty of practical knowledge that informs the way I think about food, food systems, and eating for health. The holistic chef program truly has provided me with the necessary skills to enter the culinary world with confidence, creativity, curiosity and resourcefulness as a chef and a businessperson. A big part of the magic of this program for me was the online format, which allowed me to apply all of my learning in my own kitchen, and to nourish my family and my community with my culinary creations. In addition to learning how to prepare beautiful, nourishing food, I learned how to steward my kitchen with intention and a deep level of organization. The chef instructors are absolutely amazing, and they create a circle of care, supportive community and practical wisdom that is the secret sauce of the Holistic Chef program. In addition to receiving ongoing support through the weekly virtual classes and one on one check- ins with the chefs, while I was working on my weekly labs, the chefs and teaching assistants were always available to connect with me, help me troubleshoot, and offer tips, strategies and support. I am so grateful to these wonderful chefs. Their mentorship and role modeling has ignited my passion and given my culinary life roots and wings. As I am transitioning from being a student to entering the professional community, I feel so lucky to be part of this vibrant community, which I know will continue to be a source of connection, support and inspiration in the years ahead.

Fantastic experience: Bauman College was a fabulous starting place for me as I wanted to become a nutrition coach. I took the holistic nutrition coaching program and was blown away by what I learned. I have now gone to secondary schooling and felt so confident with my foundational knowledge from this course. Fantastic experience: Following my passion and enrolling in the Bauman College Nutrition Consultant program was the best decision I made during Covid-19! The program taught me so much about the nutritional properties of whole foods and how they can promote optimal health or heal chronic conditions. We were taught about all systems in the human body down to the cellular level, and how nutritional properties and lifestyle impact our overall health. The online courses were easy to follow and created to encourage interaction with other students, and the staff were all very helpful and encouraging! I won’t say it was easy because it was a lot of detailed information, but with assignments due on a weekly basis it was manageable, one week at a time. Since graduating, I look forward to helping others find relief, or meet their health goals through diet & lifestyle. Fantastic experience: I have received high quality education in the Holistic Nutrition Consultant Program at Bauman. Beverley is very good at keeping everyone updated and her doors open for anyone with questions, feedback or concerns. She is highly knowledgeable on the content. In summary, it covers anatomy and physiology, chronic diseases and how to help heal the body through nutrition. It is intense at times with a lot of information to learn, so it is helpful if you have the time to devote to learning. Fantastic experience: I want to share my delight with others regarding Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts programs. My journey through both programs has been incredible. I started in the Holistic Nutrition Program, and now I am in the Holistic Chef Program. I really cannot say enough great things about each program. I am currently in the Holistic Chef Program, and I love all of the essential things that I am learning so far. It is a beautiful experience to learn about fresh herbs and spices and their nutritional components. I have always been interested in pairing foods, herbs, and spices together to get the most nutritional content. I am so grateful to be learning from such unique and world-class chefs and professionals. This program feels like it's connecting me back to the ancestral roots of my grandparents and my great grandparents and the generations that came before them. Cooking is very grounding for me, and it feels like this is a part of myself that was missing for a long time and is now being fully integrated into the person I am becoming and want to be. This program energizes me! It is so exciting to be in the kitchen and preparing top-notch recipes, gourmet tasting, meals that are also great for a person's health and longevity and are sustainable. I am learning to think about where my food comes from, who grew it, and how far it was transported. I am more mindful of the time and energy that goes into our food system. I have a deeper and more humble awareness of the amount of food that goes to waste, and I now have a new approach to minimize waste in my kitchen, thanks to the Bauman Holistic Chef Program. I am becoming more informed about food choices and substitutions. Healthy and "just as tasty" food options are available that are not challenging to create. Healthy eating can taste good and better than I ever thought it could. The recipes I am making are outstanding! I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with others and helping people live their best and healthiest lives, and I know that Bauman College is helping prepare me to achieve this goal.

Fantastic experience: I chose Bauman College after doing a lot of research. I was undecided between two schools. One school was for health coaching and Bauman's nutrition program was the other. I am so glad I made the choice to attend Bauman. After completing the health coaching section of my studies, I realized health coaching was completely different from what I thought it would be. I like that health coaching is part of the curriculum, but I am glad that I chose Bauman because nutrition is definitely my passion.

Fantastic experience: As a graduate from the Holistic Nutrition Consultant program, I am happy to say that I loved this program. To be honest, the online part was a bit hard for me because I am such a hands on learner but the experience made me grow even more as a person. The instructors are there every step of the way and the in depth Information that is taught provides you with a great foundation for a future in holistic health. Fantastic experience: I had first looked at doing this course over 20 years ago, then had twins and everything else took a back seat to raising them! As they turned 18 and the pandemic made unexpected space in my life, I jumped in and am so, so happy that I did! I learned more than I ever imagined, not only about nutrition, the science behind it all, but also how what we eat and all of the other factors, such as sleep, stress, exercise, impact our wellbeing. After graduating from this course, I immediately started seeing clients and feel very well prepared to begin this new chapter in my life as I help people take steps to start to find healing through food and lifestyle. There is a business course section to help you learn all those pieces as well!

Fantastic experience: I am a recent graduate Class of November 2021 Holistic Chef. It was very challenging initially, but at the end of my journey, I'm very thankful to tough it out. I had a great mentor/instructor Chef Porsche, who is very supportive and won't let you give up on yourself. Fantastic experience: I had an incredibly fulfilling experience in the Nutrition Consultant course at Bauman and am a proud alumni. I chose Bauman because I wanted a program that was approachable for someone who wasn't ready for full-time graduate study and a program that was able to present nutrition information in a holistic manner and not being explicitly tied to USDA guidelines. The pacing was just right and our mentor was able to keep us on task during monthly calls and office hours. I would have liked to have had more live instruction or video instruction and hope that this can be incorporated into the curriculum in the future. That said, distance learning was a fantastic experience overall and I'm grateful to have perpetual access to all the lectures and course materials as a graduate.

Fantastic experience: At the age of 54, I went back to school, our kids grown and time for me again. It was the smartest decision I ever made. It changed my life. I attended the Nutrition Consultant Program and graduated in January 2022. Bauman College was challenging, extremely motivating, the content is fascinating. I learned so much about nutrition, lifestyle, the body and myself. The mentors and staff are so supportive and helpful. This is not a you’re on your own type college, we are a family. Everyone is helpful and supportive every step of the way. During school I went through a very difficult family traumatic experience and my mentor Diane was so understanding and patient, she worked with me, I am forever grateful for her support. I would not have made it without her patience and positive nudging! I have made so many wonderful connections with classmates. Even with distance learning being the new norm, we were able to connect and bond and support one another in different ways. I highly recommend Bauman College for anyone interested in the field of holistic nutrition!

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend! Bauman College’s NC (nutritional consultant) program was comprehensive and challenging, but also motivating and incredibly inspiring. The things I liked best were the following: 1) Support provided by the instructors, TA’s, and literally everyone. It’s like a big family and they bend over backwards to help the students be successful, from figuring out the tech part to tutoring sessions. 2) Accreditation as well as the longstanding “Bauman" name as one of the pioneers in the field of holistic nutrition. 3) Accurate and relevant material. I have a PhD in Immunology and the college keeps its material updated with the research. 4) NANP (National Association of Nutrition Professionals) approved. So glad I did it, especially In today's world where good nutrition has never been more needed.

Fantastic experience: In January 2022, I completed the Nutrition Consultant course at Bauman College, Berkeley, CA. This is a fascinating, science-based, rigorous course that considers healthy lifestyle choices with an in depth look at how food and lifestyle affects the systems in the human body. This course has brought peace for me around food allowing me to fully enjoy food without guilt or misunderstandings about how to eat. For example, I have stopped counting calories and instead I enjoy a broad range of ‘whole foods’ with a good balance of macro and micro- nutrients.

My mentor and the staff have been one of the largest support units I’ve had during this weird season we are having. Fantastic experience: I graduated from the Natural Chef program a couple of years ago and it was a great experience for me. It was an intense and very complete program where we learned how to work around a commercial kitchen, safety, making healthy and nutritious food, new ingredients and tips from our instructors and International Cuisine. I would probably just liked to have known more about the work load before enrolling so I could have organized my time in a different way but it was worth the work. Everything I learned in the program has helped me at two jobs already. 

Fantastic experience: I attended Bauman for the Health Coach program and I loved it! I found the teachers/coaches knowledgeable, helpful, open, friendly, funny and supportive. I was able to keep up with my work load while working my current job. I was impressed by the content and I enjoyed the reading materials. Each teacher brought something different to the table and I appreciated each perspective. Another bonus was being able to watch an experienced coach work with clients, i absorbed so much knowledge from getting to watch that process.

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions I made was to enroll in the Culinary Arts program. I graduated with all the skills necessary to be successful as a Personal Chef, Cooking Instructor, and Caterer. Bauman's cooking instructors and staff are professional and supportive. The curriculum is comprehensive, unique, and practical. I immediately found employment as a personal chef to pro athletes as well as clients with health challenges. The knowledge and experience that I walked away with opened many doors which allowed me to explore different aspects of cooking including writing, recipe development, and meal plans. The opportunities are endless and the satisfaction of supporting others on their health journeys through food is magical. I really appreciate all the health benefits that my family and I have enjoyed from everything I learned at Bauman College.

Positive experience: I attended the culinary program a few years ago. It was a wild, tasty, and educational ride of 5 months! I learned much about culinary techniques, cooking with restrictions, and a quick tour of cuisine around the world, all with eating for health in mind. I have come out the other side much more confident in the kitchen and have been creating my own recipes and applying what I learned everyday. It was an intense but rewarding experience. One of the highlights was also to learn from the classmates as many of them are talented and highly experienced even before entering the program. There are also some fantastic instructors who are inspirational not only in the kitchen, but also in their way of living. It was a joy to be in those classes. I do want to recommend talking to staff or alumni in depth prior to enrollment to clearly understand what this program is and is not, in order to set the right expectation both from career path and return on investment's point of view.
