Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to have found Dr. Michlin! The quality of my life has improved and as importantly I am in great shape to continue all my outdoor adventures that I love! Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with a plethora of neck and back issues stemming from football injuries and several car accidents… I was extremely hard on my body in my youth. After several visits with specialists I was told there was nothing that could be done medically other than surgery, but that would need to wait until pain management no longer worked. My pain levels exceeded 10 consistently, my only objective was to push through the pain on a daily basis. In walks Dr. Michlin… after the first two weeks my pain levels were surprisingly manageable. As I write this, it has been five weeks after my first visit. I have no pain… it has been a long time since I’ve been able to say that! I can’t recommend Dr. Michlin and Back to Health Family Chiropractic enough! Fantastic experience: I consider myself an active and healthy 67 year old. Recently, however, while kicking a soccer ball around with my grandson, I hurt my neck. The pain became so extreme and I ended up at my physician’s office where I received injections and prescriptions for pain and inflammation. This got me through the worst of that episode, but my neck was still hurting and my range of motion was severely limited. I found Dr. Michlin on the Internet and was moved by the testimonials of the many people that he has helped. I was able to get an appointment right away. Dr. Michlin took the time to find out about me and was interested in my overall health, not just the neck pain that I presented with. By listening and asking the right questions, he discovered problems I’d had with my back and neck and muscles for years due to different injuries I’ve had in my life. My journey to living pain free was not immediate or necessarily smooth or straightforward. After Dr. Michlin adjusted my atlas and began adjusting my spine and doing massage therapy, the pain I originally had in my neck began moving around. I experienced pain on the other side of my neck, then lower back pain, knee pain, hip pain, and even pain in my wrists! It was like my muscles were having to re-adjust to each adjustment! Everything had been so out of whack that it took a while for my body to find its equilibrium. But within about six weeks, the pain moved out of my body altogether, and I was able to resume gardening and walking my dogs and playing with my grandson again. My experience at Back to Health Family Chiropractic has exceeded my expectations. I was looking for relief from my neck pain, and I got it! But I also have had the added benefit that my leg muscles no longer seize up in debilitating cramps. This had been getting worse and worse over the years, and nothing I did ever made a difference. When I made my appointment with Back to Health Family Chiropractic, I never considered that this problem could be addressed as well as my neck problem. But it has been! Since I’ve been receiving treatment at Back to Health Family Chiropractic, I’ve not had one single episode of my leg muscles cramping up. This has improved my quality of life so much, and I am extremely grateful to Dr. Michlin and Nancy for the care and guidance they have provided that got me back to health and back to life.

Fantastic experience: When our daughter got us together, her primary motivation was the hope that you could help me overcome my neuropathy pain. As we progressed through a number of appointments, that pain was reduced slightly each week. Then we had a large gap in appointments due top personal issues. And there was no progress during this period in controlling that pain despite the other things I did in hopes of alleviating it. And then I had the appointment with you Tuesday, and I felt improvement immediately. So this gives me hope whereas I had been in the doldrums and facing the common belief that nothing can be done for neuropathy. A different item. I often have had SI joint area discomfort. Other practitioners were able to get me relief for perhaps two days. I have not been bothered by that since we first go together. Sleep. And I have been sleeping better since my first appointments. I remain grateful that our daughter pointed me your way.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend has gone to "Back to Health" for about a year. She has seen a major reduction in chronic pain that had previously been quite severe. She had a possible neck injury as a child and was not able to find much relief. They have focused on corrective care for her and we are excited to see continued improvement and eventual full recovery.

Fantastic experience: A remarkable and effective treatment! I have been experiencing a recurring musculoskeletal problem most of my adult life, and have visited many chiropractors and tried many other treatment types over the years with little long term effect. I had not heard of Atlas Orthogonal therapy prior to beginning treatment with Dr Michlin, and frankly was a bit skeptical. Not so today. First, Dr Michlin’s initial assessment, which included pre and post x-rays, was as thorough and comprehensive as any I had ever experienced. Next, using this data, he targeted only the areas in need of adjustment rather than a wholesale chiropractic adjustment of everything as I had experienced with other practitioners. Finally, he checked and kept the atlas (top bone of the spine that meets the scull) in alignment before proceeding with any adjustment. His medically thoughtful and fact-based approach has left me virtually pain free today. A truly exceptional result!

Negative experience: **Update to my review, in response to the clinic's follow-up where they said, "When someone contacts us for care, the first thing we establish is if the patient is seeking a long-term corrective approach or a quick fix to get out of pain." I appreciate the quick response, but I was NOT offered a quick fix option at your clinic that day, nor was I offered the option to waive the x-rays or comprehensive exam. I would have absolutely chosen that option, as my pain level was nearly a 10. Dr. Lane in Arlington understood my pain level and adjusted me same-day. When someone is in that crippling amount of pain, the option of a quick fix should be offered, and I'm glad to hear you normally do that. But it was not offered to me that day, and my husband is witness to that. I believe this place is probably great for those with chronic issues, but perhaps not if you need immediate relief. I haven’t wanted to write this review because I think these are good people who mean well, have extensive knowledge, and change many lives. But again, if you are on pain level of 8-10 and require immediate relief, you may need something different and that’s why I am sharing my truth. When I entered this office awhile back, I could barely walk. My back was jammed for days upon days. It happened out of nowhere and the pain was unreal. I couldn’t even dress or bathe myself without my husband’s help. I was offered an expensive package that would take many appointments, and several supplements. I believe it was nearly $700. The hands-on part: I was taken into the room and put on the table that moves the spine a bit. The doctor then rolled a vibrating massager over my back. And that was it. Not one actual adjustment was made. This was my first ever visit to a chiro, so I didn’t know what to say. I left quietly, in the same amount of pain, zero relief, and the appointment wasn’t cheap. When I talked to my friend about it several days later, he was shocked I didn’t get adjusted and referred me to his chiropractor who immediately adjusted me all over. It hurt, but it worked. I was walking normally that very night. The relief felt life-changing, and I was charged much less for that single appointment. Later on, I felt 95% normal again. I went again the following week, and I was then 100% pain free. I’ve been getting this type of regular adjustment every few months for a couple years now and I’ve never had a problem again. My main purpose in sharing this isn’t to hurt a good business that obviously helps many people, my purpose is to help people who may have a situation like I had, and require immediate relief. Some people need a different type of care, that’s all. And I was one of them.

Fantastic experience: There are so many positive things I can say about Nancy and Dr. Michlin! I have been seeing Dr. Michlin for chiropractic treatment for almost a year. It has been the best medical decision I have ever made and I am so fortunate I stumbled upon their website. I have seen many, many top of the line doctors and none of them were able to get me back to how my body was before my injuries. I can say with full confidence that Dr. Michlin is the one who is credited getting me back to how I should be. Dr. Michlin and Nancy truly listen and feel for each patient’s experiences. You really never go through your pain alone with these two on your side. And when I thought they couldn’t do more for me, I left a voicemail on a Sunday asking for an earlier appointment in the week because an incident happened, and Nancy called me right back scheduling me for Monday! Additionally, incidents have happened in the middle of the week and they are able to fit me in that day! There is no comparison on the service the patients receive. Beyond how their practice operates, they are the kindest, most selfless, generous people I’ve ever met and I don’t know if it can be topped. My favorite thing about their practice is that X-Rays are taken before adjustments are made. Dr. Michlin is not about trying to pop every bone he can. It’s in fact the opposite. It’s about only adjusting what you need and it is what separates his practice from the others. Additionally before any adjustments are made, Dr. Michlin always takes the time to answer any questions that I have and provides an explanation of what he is doing so I know what to expect. My other favorite thing about their practice is that I always leave feeling relieved and in a great mood. It’s always a great day when I get to go see them.

Negative experience: Well we definitely where despite for help with cronic neck pain for my daughter who has EDS and went spent a few months following his instructions. He put my sweet daughter in a collar for three months and when I sat in his office one day looking at every patient that walked in the door have a collar around their neck I got a sick feeling in my stomach. We went to another Atlas chiropractor in my area and he was so concerned why someone would do this to someone that has EDS. EDS is a connective tissue disorder and makes everything more loss to begin with. Her Atlas couldn’t stay in place because of her connective tissue disorder therefore putting a collar on her would only make this worse because it weakens the muscles in the neck. After lots of therapy and two days a week chiropractic care even today she finally is out of that collar a year later. She would have to sleep with it at night In her collar otherwise she would wake up in excruciating pain. They also pushed and pushed that maintenance plan... thousands of dollars. I had already paid Thousand and travel three days a week from Allen to Fort Worth . This has een bothering me a long time and I needed to make sure everyone else with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome pays close attention.

Fantastic experience: In the early fall of 2002 I suffered a head trauma that sent me to a PCP for stitches! While there nothing was said about being checked for a concussion, but I wasn't overly concerned, being invicible and all! Many things began to surface in the years that followed and it wasn't until 2010 during a random visit with a family member to his Chiropractor (a family friend in New Mexico, but we lived in Kansas!) that I learned I had suffered much more than a gash and/or concussion! And only then because this Chiropractor was insightful enough to ask about things I'd only seen a medical doctor for. Having already been diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma, Raynaud Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel and High Blood Pressure I wasn't looking for any more issues! However, after asking if he could, one hand to the back of my neck sent me to his x-ray room and the results were overwhelming, even for the brother who was quite experienced in chiropractic care! I had my 1st adjustments then and there and sought care with several Kansas facilities during the months that followed, to no avail. Upon returning to my prior and now current home in Texas I did the same, but before finding one who helped I had surgery for carpal tunnel on one hand that will never be the same, was told surgery was all I needed for the other hand and that views of my 2nd set of x-rays were not only fine but GREAT, having nothing to do with my ailments! Those x-rays were done in 2017 by the latest Chiropractor, not an AO Specialist, with results that took me to tears. Two years of regular chiropractic visits were keeping me going, I was learning a ton from that Doctor and was even told I should probably see a Cervical Spine Specialist, we only needed to find one! It was while reading further on a web link that had been shared by that Chiropractor, the words Atlas and Orthogonal practically jumped off the page at me and I KNEW what I had to do! So, I googled and right here in North Texas, only 2 1/2 hours from me, was an AO Chiropractor! I called immediately and was able to talk with Nancy for at least an hour, got scheduled for a consultation within 2 weeks and met Dr. Michlin for the 1st time on June 11th! Though it was a bit disturbing to hear, "You're in a mess" from the Dr. right after introductions, I was completely prepared and ready to commit for the long haul! Once again, 3 of 3 Chiropractic doctors verified that so much of what I was experiencing, including 24/7 pain, that head injury was causing issues all the way down my spine and from the top of my head literally to the bottom of my feet! Only this time it was confirmed the Atlas was and had been knocked out of place! Adjustment time again, but oh so different from anything I'd already had and completely effortless and painless, causing me to wonder if anything had occurred at all! Well, obviously by post x-ray views it had and wow what a relief it has been! My current pain is primarily stemming from the Neuroma in BOTH feet which will be addressed in just over a week, but the care Dr. Michlin and Nancy have given me is nothing short of profound! I was already familiar with what changes chiropractic care could make in the body, but I was only beginning to fully understand the importance of starting at the TOP or the Atlas, not only to begin a restoration process but how important spine care is to overall health, preferrably BEFORE a mess can form! I have no doubt now and am completely fearless in sharing my experience with all I encounter. to if you're reading this you likely have reason to see Dr. Michelin, or maybe you already have! Don't hesitate and don't be concerned with the process! It's by far the best research and following of intuition I've ever done and the easiest care I've ever been given! Fantastic experience: Dr. Michilin is an Angel on Earth!!! I owe him my success in just finishing my first year of dental school which has been my dream since 2012. Unfortunately I hit a huge bump in the road that made it take so long to get here, but luckily when I hit another huge bump in the road right after being accepted into dental school, Dr. Michlin was there to save me. I know that I would not have made it without him! It would take too many words to express everything that has happened to me since 2014 when I suffered a concussion with postconcussion syndrome and to describe every detail into how much Dr. Michilin has really helped me. However in short, not only did I suffer from headaches, I had to get accommodations for all my exams to finish in time. Additionally I was unable to make it through a whole day without either having to sleep or being so exhausted it's as if I were already asleep. I also had some visual changes after the accident and would get foggy headed regularly. I was always uncomfortable or in pain, always moving to try and get comfortable, but had come accustomed to it so I didn't realize how much pain I was actually in until I actually started to feel better.The 2 biggest things that the Atlas treatment has done for me is the visual correction and the fact that I went from not being able to handle a full strenuous day and the lack of sleep that a single mother with 3 children has in dental school, to being able to meet all the necessary requirements and getting through it feeling better than I had in years. One other thing that I would like everyone to know is that Dr. Michilin and his wife Nancy are the sweetest people you will ever meet. For example, I started to revert backwards and old symptoms came back because my schedule was so busy and I couldn't get in that week. I expressed to Nancy the following week what bad shape I was in and how I needed to come in and see Dr. Michilin the next day, and that it was essential that I do well on my next set of exams. I felt so bad the following day and also so very grateful when I came in and they had cancelled all but 2 of his appointments. He was feeling horrible (you could tell by just looking at him, it was bad) however he knew how much the two of us needed the help and he cared enough to come in anyways. I have been under his care since August of 2018. It was a gradual process of healing and there were times that I didn't know if it was really working, but I did have one thing that I could not deny. Every time Dr. Michlin adjusted me, the visual changes that I suffered from after the accident, got better. I think it was several months after I started coming in and it was about the time that my atlas started to stay in place better, this time he started adjusting my entire back. There was a miraculous change that day. The visual changes that I had been dealing with for so long almost completely went away. This gave me so much hope!! Just amazing!! I am glad that I stuck with it despite the expense and the drive time because if I hadn't, I would have never known how much more it would eventually help me. I still have more things to recover from, but it is so minimal compared to what I used to deal with. Right now I see Dr. Michilin once a week and it keeps most of my symptoms at bay. I feel the closest to my old self than I ever have since the car accident. It has been such a blessing in my life that I was lucky enough to find him. I just wish I could shout it out on the rooftops to anyone who has suffered from a concussion to go see Dr. Michilin first! Positive experience: I really respect Dr. Michlin & Nancy, as it seems they have done a lot of good for so many patients. They were professional, thorough, and even made time to take a concerned phone call from me over the weekend of my care. I’ve had some time to think about my experience at Back to Health after ending my care through the middle of the plan. My biggest complaint is that before I was even examined, I was being pitched an extensive, time and money-consuming 2 week plan that was based off of adjusting the atlas, before even knowing if my atlas was a source of my problems. I appreciated that before taking the dive, I was given a free consultation that was detailed. Within the first week of treatments and $736.23 given towards my treatment here, I didn’t feel so sure anymore. I am no professional in this field, but I became uncomfortable with my plan of care. My suggestion is, don’t immediately sell an atlas adjustment plan before even doing the X-rays. I won’t go into details as to what puzzled me about the treatment and logic of it, and ultimately made me quit midway through, but those are my sincere suggestions to this practice. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Before I met Chris and Nancy I was having my low back adjusted and decompressed on a weekly basis. I had been mri diagnosed with 5 bulging discs. After their expert care I no longer have any back problems. I first met them due to knocking my atlas out of position and was referred by a normal chiropractor because the problem was beyond her capability. I just had a checkup after 2 years absence. My atlas is now in place, holding true and I feel great!!

Fantastic experience: Wish I would have known about this place years ago. I have been dealing with scoliosis since I was about 6yrs old. I had two surgeries before I was 17, I am fused in three places. My back has gotten worse, it was affecting my swallowing and way of living. Trying to aviod surgery, I though I would give the Atlas Orthogonal treatment a try and boy I'm glad I did. Dr Michlin and Nancy are super caring. It feels like family when you walk in. I can swallow again without a lump in my throat, and my ribs arent poking me as bad. I have been going for almost two months and am seeing and feeling so much improvement. Even my family is noticing the change. I look forward to the visits every week. Dr Michlin knows what he is doing and genuinely cares for helping people get better, as so does Nancy. I am a 70 year old male , and as all folks that are lucky to get this far , have had a few bumps in life .My most recent bump was a car wreck, being broadsided by a guy that ran a red light.. Being new to Fort Worth ,I had no idea where to get PROPER attention, both the traditional hospital and regular MD I use check were very cursory..If you aren't bleeding or have broken bones,see ya . My attorney found DR Michelin and I an so glad they did. I saw the x-rays where my Atlas ( C-1 ) was knocked off it's proper place, my spine was twisted as were my hips...DR Michelin was the best certified to handle my twisted body, He doesn't just listen to you he listens to your body...I highly recommend his services

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Johnson for a few years now and I am so glad that I stopped in in office back in 2011. I was in such pain that I wasn't sleeping, for several weeks. Jeremy Johnson setup a plan, he explained everything and I finally started getting relief and then pain gone!! I continue to go to him for maintenance. His staff is wonderful and the office is always clean and well cared for.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Michlin for just four months now and already I can see more results in that short amount of time than with any kind of treatment I tried for several years prior to finding Back to Health. After suffering daily headaches for six years I was finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease (through positive blood work) in 2012. I’ve tried almost every treatment, including two years of heavy-handed antibiotics which completely destroyed my immune system. I can happily say after seeing Dr. Michlin, my headaches are less frequent, my immune system has gotten stronger, and I’ve been able to drastically cut down on the medicine I took for both muscle and nerve pain. Fantastic experience: After searching the internet for a NUCCA trained doctor, I was fortunate to find Dr. Chris Michlin. He is by far the best complete body adjustment doctor I have ever had. The facial Trigeminal neuralgia tingling and numbness went complete away. I have not been able to go for awhile, and left untreated this condition returned, so I need to let him do his magic. He also successfully treated the sciatica which was making me limp. I continue to wear the soft neck ring every night to help my alignment. Positive experience: Edited to Add: Nancy spoke with me after and let me know the seriousness they see in patient happiness and that they took this as a learning experience for how to communicate things to patients. She explained things to me and did give me a refund. I said i would edit my review and she said it was not necessary because me not being stressed and unhappy was more important to her, i am doing it anyways so that people can see that they are willing to learn from situations and patient happiness is important. This is a good quality for business with most businesses just wanting to say screw you. I went in to have the consultation and made a bad move by making a quick decision. I let them know my situation and why i couldn't go through with it and they CHARGED ME FOR A FREE CONSULTATION! This is false advertising and i will not be going back to a company that practices this and doesn't want to be understanding to what its like being a single mom that doesn't have help from the other parent and has limited resources. I had plans to go back when my situation is more stable but why would I when they charge for something they advertise as free and if I went back i would be charged for a consult fee again. Very unhappy and stressed after my experience.

Fantastic experience: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Back To Health Family Chiropractic to any one. I have been going to chiropractors for adjustment for many years, in Michigan, in Canada and here in Fort Worth, Texas. I must say that of all the chiropractors that I have been to, Dr. Michlin is the best that I have been adjusted by.... if it was possible I would give them a 10 star. To keep this short I will only comment on the adjustments. My problem is in my neck. In a nutshell, Dr. Michlin does not hurt you when you are being adjusted. He does not use cracking type of adjustment that often hurt. His adjustments are done with smooth and painless manipulations yet it works.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Michlin in the Summer of 2017, but have been dealing with injury-induced neck pain since 2010. He was very thorough in his examinations and had a plan for me to get better. The Atlas adjustments proved to be the missing ingredient in curing my neck pain, and I felt immediately relief within the first couple of weeks. I continued seeing him for a few months in which we also worked to correct the kyphosis in my upper-back. Today I am happy to say that I am pain-free and standing up taller with better posture. Not only have we fixed these problems, but I now have the knowledge on how to hold the adjustments and take care of myself. Fantastic experience: My daughter is being treated for a neck injury from a roller coaster ride and she has not been pain free until now! In addition, a good nights sleep, pain free for her was out of the question until we found Dr. Michlin! After the first adjustment to her Atlas, she said "My head feels 10 pounds lighter!" Fantastic experience: Dr. Michlin has corrected a long-standing back problem, with far more expertise and professionalism than any other chiropractor I have been to, from Cornwall, Ontario, to Watertown, NY and Fort Worth, Tx. He knew exactly what to do to adjust my back and it feels great from 3 weeks ago when I was in total pain and could barely hobble with severe sciatica, even correcting my right upper thigh that had been severely numb since I was 30. Then, through his Atlas Orthogonal expertise, he adjusted my atlas and I could even feel, just resting on the table, my joints in my spine realign by themselves! His care has been tremendous and he should be in Hollywood getting the big bucks, or for the Cowboys. We are so darn lucky to have him here, only 300 chiropractors in the World can do Atlas Orthogonal adjustments, too! He is absolutely wonderful, and I've been to several; he's not a Crack-Your-Back high volume adjuster, he truly lives up to the name of Master Craftsman and schedules you to have the time to see you and treat you properly! And my name is on here, tell him I sent ya! 09/03/17 - I am big defender of chiropractic care as it has done for me what no other type of care could ever do. I've had orthopedic doctors and therapists treat me for several years with pain meds and exercises, joined a gym, but to no avail and told "well, you will just have to live with it" by them. I'd had back problems so severe I couldn't stand up, and would have spasms that would double me over they were so bad, even with a full back brace. When I was the meat manager in Ogdensburg Great American, I'd have to wrap product and it would almost kill me it hurt so bad. My cutter said he'd take me to his chiropractor in Cornwall, Ont. and I told him what the doctors said that I'd just had to live with it and had resigned myself to that fact and held no belief that anything would help after 10 years of treatments. After 3 trips there, my back pain was gone! Disappeared! Vanished! It was a miracle! Amazing! Magic! Chiropractic had proven itself to me - and I could stop taking Oxycodone, too! When I came to Fort Worth, I had to find a chiropractor to keep me out of pain. The one I got was almost a sadist - he used leather straps to pull on me, like stretching me, a rolling bed that would run a tire up and down my back, a sonic wand that would pulse me, and so on, and I had to pay to get mistreated. Then, after another session of back trouble I went to a guy who'd snap my neck like breaking a pretzel in half. That's when Dr. Chris Michlin, a friend of my son's, stepped in to help. I went to him, got a full workup of xrays done, he evaluated me, and I went into Atlas Orthogonal Treatment. Lay on my side, an actuator behind my right ear, a slight tap, then lay on my back and I could feel my entire spine adjust itself automatically! Suddenly my feet were even instead of misaligned, my limp was gone, my gait corrected, places that hurt or were numb for many, many years were corrected! Of course there were side effects for several days, soreness mostly which diminished progressively quickly like other chiropractic treatments, but back then with other doctors I'd been twisted, cradled and snapped vigorously, my neck 'popped' like a grape (which I know now is a very dangerous procedure) whereas with Dr. Michlin, all I had done was a slight tap behind my ear, like getting tapped with a Q-Tip! So precise, so effective; I could lay there and actually feel my spine realign by itself! His years of advanced training at the Roy Sweat Institute of Atlas Orthogonal Procedure taught him this method of treatment, and he is only one of four chiropractors in the State of Texas who are Certified to do this! We are so fortunate to have him in Fort Worth! Patients fly in from other states to receive his treatments, he is that good! He has been given an advanced level of education and training very few others have; please know that! I actually look forward to going to see him and get treated by him, something I honestly can not say about any other doctor I go to!

There is not a health issue I've had that he hasn't been able to help me with. I've seen him for headaches, allergies, injuries as well as continuing care. And when you are in his office, your issue is the only thing on his mind. And it's not just all that he's done for me. Dr. Michlin has worked miracles for my family, particularly my oldest daughter. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Michlin since March of this year after a bad vehicle accident. When I came in I had severe headaches and my back was in a constant state of spasm. Functioning was a challenge to say the least. Dr Michlin fixed it. Almost immediately I felt better and was able to function. My headaches began to diminish and life could begin again. Fantastic experience: Well it's been a few months since I began my journey of healing with Nancy and Dr. Michlin. Amazing folks. These folks are the real deal. They care so much about their patients. I have been in pain for many many years after an automobile accident and a back injury preceding that. Then last October it became much worse. My neck felt as if I had a horrible catch in it that never went away. Daily pounding headaches to boot that made my jawbone ache. Toothache? No. No more road trips, no more long walks. Fantastic experience: Dr. Michlin and his wife Nancy have been a gift to my family. I have lived with dibilitating chronic illness my whole adult life. I had both congenital issues, Arnold Chiari Malformation, and history of a bad car accident 30 years ago. I recently moved to the DFW area from Chicago and was looking to continue my Atlas Orthogical care that I was receiving back in Woodstock Il. At that point I was on maintenance and still having at least 1-3 major migraines a week, with they additional need for regular trigger point and nerves blocks. Dr. Michlin's expert care has advanced my progress significantly. I am down to the occasional migraine in the moderate range, I am taking a significantly lower amount of pain medication and have not been reliant on shots Nancy has helped me find the right path to control my IBS through my diet. I just came back from a vacation where I was able to snorkel for the first time. I strongly recommend their compassionate care.

Dysautonomia is the dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. According to the Dysautonomia Center of Excellence, “The autonomic nervous system regulates all of the unconscious functions of the body, including the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system, metabolic system, and endocrine system.” My neurologist wanted me to try the atlas orthogonal treatment because I was severely ill with nausea, cramping, and digestive problems. I could not function as a normal human being. We found that the atlas orthogonal treatment greatly helps my symptoms. My mom and I would drive three hours to stay in Fort Worth Monday through Friday just to see him because the atlas orthogonal treatment helped me so much. If I needed to see Dr. Michlin and I did not have an appointment, they would squeeze me in their schedule and sometimes even see me on Friday (their day off) to adjust my atlas back into place. Fantastic experience: Prior to finding Dr. Michlin I have attended several very good chiropractors but i never felt 100%,i would always feel a bit "off" they would always tell me one of my legs was shorter or my hips were tilted, after my first atlas adjustment i felt a noticeable relief from nagging neck and sholder pain, and my leg length and hips aligned without a painful hip adjustment. With a maintenence plan i have felt better than i have in 10 years I definitely recommend Dr. Michlin if you want the best chiropractor in North Texas.

Fantastic experience: I had been dealing with neck pain and head aches for years.... one morning out of sheer frustration I happened upon Back to health by accident after desperately searching for a nearby chiropractor to help because years of local quick chiro clinics never helped get to the root of my problem. I made the commitment for 7 treatments...$900 later I still hadn't gotten the relief I'd hoped for... but I realized that my condition didn't happen overnight so I committed to an additional 30 treatment plan. I don't know exactly when it happened but shortly after I finally started getting relief. Here I am today after only a few months of treatment, pain free. Fantastic experience: For years our teen-aged daughter experienced worsening health conditions including loss of peripheral vision and debilitating headaches due to increased pressure in her head and pressing on her optic nerve. She also was "numb" on her left side for many years and one leg was over half an inch shorter than the other -- supposedly due to a fracture in her growth plates when younger. Neurologists conducted many tests, but basically threw up their hands. I believe it was a miracle that led us to Dr. Michlin at Back to Health Chiropractic. His x-rays showed that her Atlas vertebra was very out of place, causing the increased pressure as well as significant misalignments throughout her spine. After just two weeks of intensive and highly skilled treatment, her peripheral vision has returned, feeling has returned to her left side, headaches have ceased and her "short" leg is now almost the same length as the other. Fantastic experience: I am so happy with the thorough treatment plan I received for my recurring sciatic pain. I had been suffering from sciatic pain for a long time and nothing would help. I had done spinal decompression 2 years ago and it had helped after MANY months but the sciatica started again this year while exercising. Dr Michlin took the time to do a comprehensive exam with detailed X-rays and to explain everything to me. I had much less pain after the first week and was already completely PAIN FREE after 3-4 weeks! Regular re-adjustments of the Atlas vertebrae is definitely the key!

Fantastic experience: I come from three generations of family members who used chiropractic care. Having sustained a couple of injuries, I too have used chiropractors off and on in the different locations I have lived during my lifetime. Dr. Michlin is one of the best. His technique of atlas orthogonal adjustments do take time, but are specific and the least traumatic to joints and tissues compared to some other modalities. I have found his treatments to be extremely helpful with the alignment of my entire spine, effecting my posture and gait as well as alleviating my cervical problem. His prior expertise as a therapeutic message therapist prior to becoming a chiropractor has additionally enhanced his assessment and treatment skills and modalities. Nancy Michlin has also been helpful with her knowledge of supplements and improving overall health.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Michlin. I went to him following a car wreck. After one treatment, my pain was greatly alleviated. After a few treatments, I noticed that not only was my sciatic pain much improved, but my leg, which is partially disabled, was also improving. I never thought I would see my leg begin to improve.

I love science and don't like leaving my health to guess work by doctors who experiment on people with what they "think" is a good course of action. Negative experience: Dr Michlin and his wife are very nice people, but I spent a lot of money and did not see results. I had a pinch in my neck that made it hard to move my head. I went to see Dr Michlin for months and it sort of got better, but they kept trying to get me to come back for more appointment and buy packages. Finally, I went to another chiropractor and it was fixed in ONE treatment.

Fantastic experience: Extreme Vertigo! Dramamine every 4 hours, every day for 5 months. Never knowing when I would be back in bed not able to lift my head without puking. Never knowing when the room would just begin to spin. Worried about driving! 5 months of testing, all of it coming back "normal". Really? My life was far from normal. That was my life before I met Dr. Chris Michlin at Back to Health Family Chiropractic in Fort Worth. He was so very honest and upfront about the vertigo. He spent two hours with me on my first visit and wrote down everything I said! He explained to me after the x-rays that he couldn't guarantee that my atlas was causing the vertigo, but that there was enough going on in there that it certainly could be! And it was!! Dr. Michlin explained everything about the x-rays, the machinery, and the procedure. By the way, it is such an easy procedure! Not at all what I thought it might be. Absolutely no pain, can't feel a thing! He was very kind and compassionate about what I was dealing with. The office staff was every bit as kind, Nancy and Tina are just the best! It's a process, trying to "retrain" my atlas. It's not something that happened overnight and it won't get better overnight. Dr. Michlin says it's like training a puppy. (At least he didn't say you can't teach an old dog new tricks!) I started out getting really excited about having my atlas keep the adjustment for 10 days and then 14 days. Then I experienced 5 straight weeks of my atlas holding the adjustment and let me tell you it feels awesome! Can it get out of adjustment? Yes, it can. But I am able to recognize when it does so I go see Dr. Michlin and I feel better immediately! I am truly blessed to have found Dr. Michlin and I thank God for him and his staff. Fantastic experience: Hello, I am a Ph.D. biologist and LA State Champion in forms and sparring for my Tae Kwon Do division for two years running. I was hit under the jaw during a tournament over Labor Day weekend 2011 and sustained a concussion. My first headache lasted nine days and while the CAT scan and MRI showed nothing was wrong, I was still having drilling, multi-day headaches in February 2012; despite having seen a physical therapist that specialized in sports-related concussion treatment and a highly recommended neurologist. Exasperated, I decided I should see a chiropractor and recalled that my good friend from college who I had not seen in over 20 years specialized in upper cervical issues, so I picked up the phone and called Chris (Dr. Michlin). PLEASE NOTE - Dr. Michlin's techniques are very specialized - you may have difficulty finding an Atlas Orthogonist in your area. Since I live in New Orleans, I have to fly to Fort Worth to receive treatment. For the last eight months, I have routinely flown to Texas to receive treatment. If he was not the best, though I dearly love my friend, I would not purchase an airline ticket and rent a car every 2-4 weeks to receive treatments. Fantastic experience: Was goofing around and injured my neck to the point of torticollis a couple weeks ago. Dr. Michlin saw me the same day and pretty much nursed me back to health in baby steps.
