Community Health Connections - Fitchburg Community Health Center offers a variety of medical services, with many patients praising the compassionate care received from individual providers like Kaitlyn and Dr. Olerik. Patients appreciate the kindness, professionalism, and thoroughness of the health practitioners, stating that they go above and beyond to address concerns and make visits as comfortable as possible. Reviews highlight:
- Excellent dental care: Many patients commend the dental staff for being thorough, friendly, and effective in their treatments.
- Competent and caring healthcare professionals: Providers are recognized for their dedication and ability to listen to patients' concerns.
- Clean and welcoming environment: The facility is noted for its cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere, which helps reduce patient anxiety.
However, there are notable areas of concern that the clinic needs to address:
- Appointment scheduling issues: Many reviews mention long wait times for appointments, with some patients expressing frustration over being overbooked or cancelled visits.
- Communication problems: Multiple users referred to challenges in reaching the staff via phone and receiving timely callbacks, impacting overall patient experience.
- Inconsistency in care: Some patients reported dissatisfaction with the level of care received, noting issues like missed referrals, unhelpful responses, and lack of follow-up on health concerns.
Overall, while many individuals appreciate the personal attention and care from specific staff members, significant improvements in systemic operations and communication are needed to enhance the patient experience at Community Health Connections.
Community Health Connections - Fitchburg Community Health Center: Reviews
Fantastic experience: This morning I went in for a dental cleaning and was seen by Kaitlyn. I guess as most people, usually the dentist can be a bit stressful and Kaitlyn made my visit such a breeze. Not only she is one of the kindest and mostmcaring health practitioners I’ve encountered, she takes the time to listen to any and all concerns and gives very helpful tips and shared lots of helpful information about said concerns.. Thanks to her I was able to be seen by the Dr. and get scheduled for other procedures to work on the current issues that were encountered during the visit. The Dr and everyone else in the service desk are wonderful people but Kaitlyn just went above and beyond to make my visit as less stressful and painful ass possible.
Fantastic experience: Kristen left my teeth sparkling clean as always!
Negative experience: I would give less if I could. To be honest, I’m not sure where the blame lies in this clinic. What I do know is how inadequate the job is performed there. Constantly chasing really straight forward referrals, for it always to be messed up one way or another. I was so excited for a civilian doctor for my family and myself. After this place though, I would prefer to deal with the idiocy of the military. At least they can do a referral correctly. I do want to note, this rating is pretty much for the 3 clinics I have gone too. Leominster and Fitchburg are the ones we generally go to. Went to Gardner and it was painfully obvious the doctor had not updated his training or old fashioned thinking. Generally really unhelpful and potentially destructive advice. The front desk at Gardner was sweet though.

Negative experience: Every time!!! you come in on time for your appointment (10/15early) you end up waiting an hour just to be brought back to one of the rooms. It took 2hours just to pick up dentures!!!!! Very unprofessional!!!!! Never again

Fantastic experience: Experiência muito agradável com a Dr Olerik e sua auxiliar. Profissionais muito competentes. Acredito que logo estarão supervisionado em virtude da competência. Atendente Recepção Mara sempre muito eficiente e profissional. Enfim, somente elogios a equipe citada. Enfim, super indico.
Joao, Thank you for the review. We have shared your accolades with Estuardo Osorio, DDS and our dental staff! Sincerely, CHC
Fantastic experience: Great Dental experience! Teeth cleanings have gone well and a pain-free filling. Thank you

Negative experience: I am deeply concerned about the care provided at this facility. How can the Nurse Practitioner prescribe antidepressants without also offering counseling? It’s clear that the individual in need requires more than just medication—counseling should be part of the treatment plan. Additionally, the care they provide to elderly patients does not seem to be tailored to the unique needs of aging individuals. From what I’ve observed with my elderly relative, their approach lacks the comprehensive, compassionate care that seniors truly deserve. This is disappointing and raises serious concerns about the quality of care here.
Lynn, Thank you for your feedback. We'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more, and our Behavioral Health Manager would like to address your concerns directly and answer questions you may have. Please feel free to email us with your best contact information, so that we may reach out to you. [email protected]
Fantastic experience: Always kind, friendly and helpful! Thank you for all of the help!
Jake, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We will pass along your praise to our Fitchburg staff! Sincerely, CHC
Negative experience: Avoid Community Health Connections at all costs. I went in for a PCP appointment, only to be told my insurance wasn’t active, despite it being fully active all month. They claimed they’d called me twice to resolve the issue, but I never received any calls or voicemails. When I called my insurance company after leaving my canceled appointment, they confirmed my coverage was active. Horrible customer service, disorganization, and complete lack of accountability. Highly dissatisfied with CHC Fitchburg. When leaving they asked if I’d like to make an appointment in MAY, I laughed and walked out. Look elsewhere.
Jason, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience, as it is not the level of service we strive to provide. We'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more, and our Primary Care Manager would like to address your concerns directly. Please feel free to email us with your best contact information, so that we may reach out to you. [email protected]
Fantastic experience: Very helpful
Jonathan, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We will pass along your praise to our staff! Sincerely, CHC
Negative experience: I've been a patient at CHC for about 7 years. Nearly every time I go, I am introduced to a "new doctor", usually just an LPN, who will pretend to be my new primary care. I have developed 0 report with any of them. They also failed to diagnose a herniated disc in my neck until 2 years while I was asking for help. Same with their dentistry, which is archaic and painful. It's like seeing a dentist in the 80's with just picks and out-of-date xray tech. Only went because I was disabled and on Masshealth for a while. I changed the second I could, and you will, too
James, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience and overall dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, a healthcare trend is that there is increased provider mobility happening. CHC is not alone and doing everything we can to improve provider retention. We value you as a patient and would like to have the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please email us with your best contact information, so that our Medical and Dental Manager may reach out to you. [email protected]
Negative experience: They send me to Urgent care with any issue I have, I don't even know why I have a doctor at this point. Can never make appointments, never have time or openings. The last 4 issues (both medical and dental) I had they said either go elsewhere or try calling when they open for an appointment.
We are sorry to hear about your experience and value our patient's feedback. Please send an email to [email protected] with your contact information so we may reach out to you directly and learn more about your experience and concerns, so that we may improve our patients experience.
Negative experience: Not a very good place to be.I've been calling the office for the past 2 weeks.Cause I'm having pain on my right Aubrey.A month went by and i'm still sitting here with pain and no appointment
We are sorry to hear about your most recent experience. Please send us an email with your correct contact information so that our manager can reach out to you directly. [email protected]

Negative experience: I’d give no stars if I could, waited an hour to just be brought back into the exam room, and waiting another 20-25 mins and no provider came in. I left without being seen because I honestly could’ve found better things to do with my time. Absolutely terrible experience and the flow of patient care is sad. Don’t go here if you can.
Negative experience: My doctor is great. The reception is a nightmare. The staff clearly have no training in customer service, generally they are rude, dismissive and keep you waiting for a long time before acknowledging ones' existence. For some it's already a stressful situation. Please train your staff!
Fantastic experience: I'm gonna have to look for some other place this place Is ridiculous. They need to find some reliable workers to work the phones cause they don't even answer them. And then make your appointments. I'm glad I called before they didn't even they cancelled it without telling me. They get no stars from me. So now they won't post my review if I don't press the stars. I press one star and they all light up. Like I said No Stars.
Negative experience: Place is a nightmare my mouth is always infected so I go and get antibiotics before having anything done normally.. so I did that got 7 days of antibiotics came back next week to have 4 teeth pulled except I got an abscess from when they took x rays and poked and proded on the initial appointment, so the dentist and I agreed the novice probably wouldn't work and i wouldnt want 4 holes and an access at the same time so wait another 7 days and take another round of meds.. OK sure now the CVS troubles start they took 6 hours to send it to a CVS I've never Been to or spoken of the first time and the second time they forgot for an entire day so I called the next day and the doctor or whoever had some whole new story or confused me with someone else and said he didn't prescribe me anything smh. So come next week I would be 7 days with no antibiotics and the novicane deffinetly wouldn't work so I had to cancel the appointment I've always had bad teeth ive dealt with this many times before ,I will not go through having an infected mouth trying to have teeth pulled with novicane that's ineffective like it's was 1800 and Ben Franklin was my dentist
Negative experience: People beware It should be called a health stop. Primary Care Doctor in the location of the former Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg mass POOR call center ive had to wait an hour yes an hour on hold to leave a message to the office. They don’t call their patients back even after found medical results sitting to be looked at and singed of by the real doctor. You have to keep going in for every little thing and a limited time in office. They refer you off to the ER if it’s anything over putting a Band-Aid on and forget about any help in anyway for kidney stones! Or anything internal. Sadly again I am back looking for a new doctor!
We're sorry to hear about your experience. CHC is dedicated to providing the best care possible and would like to learn more about your experience so that we may address your concerns and make improvements. Please send us your contact information to the following email: [email protected]
Negative experience: My girlfriend went in for a check up and to meet her physician for the first time, she has been waiting an hour between the waiting room and for her doctor to go see her at her room. Seems like an awful lot of time wasting going on.
Fantastic experience: I was in sooooo much pain had an infection so the dentist put me on antibiotics until I could see the oral surgeon who was wonderful when she extracted my tooth I was not in pain but was in pain for 3 days after but still a great oral surgeon!!! They called me continuously to get in and get the extraction!!
Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if I could r.e., the dental dept of CHC. I don't know how many times I called to get dental care, but either the phone wasn't answered, I was hung up on, or when I left a message for a call back - that never occurred. I finally drove to the Fitchburg office, spoke to the receptionist (in person) r.e., dental care. I did not mention the phone issues and was very pleasant - I wasn't about to put my dental care in jeopardy when I thought I still might go there. Well, I should have expressed my dissatisfaction at that time. The receptionist was totally disinterested. I was given a LENGTHY application to be seen there, which I dutifully filled out while I was up there, and handed back to receptionist. She informed me that I would be placed on a waiting list, and would be called. Well, 2 or 3 months have gone by, and I have heard NOTHING. I could understand if it was swarming with patients and they had no openings. But from what I witnessed, it seemed like there was no one around, except for one gentleman looking for care (who was told about the application and waiting list)and just left, and the receptionist. What a horrible experience!! And I didn't even get seen (which after reading the reviews, is probably a blessing)!
Fantastic experience: Always excellent care, especially my primary Ashley Shannak and my counselor Will Watkins
Positive experience: I have had a good experience with the dentist.
Fantastic experience: ME LLAMAN PARA INDICARME QUE HABLARON SOBRE LA SITUACION QUE TUVE AL VISITAR OFICINA AREA MEDICA PERO QUE MI COMPORTAMIENTO NO FUE EL ADECUADO COMPORTAMIENTO QUE FUE PROVOCADO POR LA EMPLEADA. EN MIS 8 AÑOS VISITANDO ESTE GRUPO MEDICO NUNCA ME SENTI TAN MAL ATENDIDA Y NUNCA TUVE UNA QUEJA ESPERO NADIE MAS TENGA UNA SITUACION DE MAL GUSTO. YO NO LOS VISITARE JAMAS AREA DENTAL CONTINUO CON ELLOS YA QUE VISITE CON CITA DE MI HIJO Y LAS NUEVAS FRONT DESK SI SON PERSONAS AGRADABLES GRACIAS .
Negative experience: My husband went to the dentist today. Had to get 5 extractions. The dentist told him that if was in pain to let him know. My husband did the dentist brushed it off. My husband needed stitches and was told there was an infection. The dentist said he would send pain killers and antibiotics. He sent 800mg ibuprofen. As confirmed in office, my husband has been on a regiment of 800mg daily as needed. More of the same meds is not going to help. Also no antibiotics sent. So we call. Talk to a nice gentleman who says he will send the message to the provider. Pharmacy still shows only the ibuprofen. So we call, get hung up on, call get hung up on, call put in for a call back. The phone rings once and then it hangs up. We finally got a hold of the same gentleman who explained that the dentist my husband saw is not licensed in Massachusetts to write prescriptions for the pain meds. After understanding what was being told to us, we asked that a different proscriber be contacted. We finally get a call back. It is a woman. She explains that the doctor says to do ibuprofen and Tylenol... Are you serious? I finally talked to the dentist. He claimed that he was licensed. I asked him if he had his IRM number. He brushed aside that question. We agree on Tylenol w codine, and the antibiotics. Well folks, it's still just the ibuprofen and Tylenol (at least w codine) but no antibiotics. And now my husbands stitches have fallen out. Like what the actual heck. We will be going back to that office tomorrow. How can they really be this obtuse to patient care? Why is it so hard to actually achieve health goals. It's like they are standing in the way. Maybe it's for that insurance money...
Negative experience: Worst place ever. Cant get an appointment when you do get one they over book.
Negative experience: 400+ Person wait-list
Negative experience: They waste your time won't treat you and only care about $$ wouldn't suggest going here.
Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at CHC for over 4 years now. I absolutely love the providers I have in medical, behavioral as well as dental. They've all have been compassionate as well as reassuring to me. The best thing I have done is transferring my care to this office.
Thank you, so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with us!
Negative experience: This is by far The worst location To have any work done on your teeth. In June of 2022 the office started a 4 step procedure for a route canal. 10 months later and they are still not done because the office continues to cancel appointments due to emergencies or staffing and then rescheduling appointments 2 to 3 months out. When I inquired about going to a different office they said that once a tooth is started it needs to be finished in their office.
KM, please reach out to us. You can send an email to [email protected] and a member of our Patient Services Team will be in touch.
Negative experience: I have missed two appointments now one with my PCP which made getting a prescription impossible. So I had to just stop taking it. Not safe. One with optometrist. I call to make sure my appointments are made because I do not get a reminder and..no appointments scheduled. I really like my doctor Brianna Leonard but this place is run horribly. My eye exam was scheduled with Dr. Wu. Nov 11 @ 9:00. I just called to make sure my appointment was still on since again no reminder..they say I don’t have an appointment. What is going on? Literally I waited months for nothing. Should have stuck to my old insurance and not gone with CHC. This place sucks. Calling to switch now. I’d advise you to stay far away from this place.
We're sorry to hear about your experience. You are welcome to reach out to our Patient Care Services. Please send an email with your contact information to [email protected]
Negative experience: The dentL office at this place is so unprofessional. They canceled one appointment and I canceled one time. The office then proceeded to tell me I canceled 3 times and couldn't make any more appointments. They didn't even give me a cleaning the first time I went. WORST DENTAL OFFICE E V E R
Negative experience: I'm not sure the issues here are single to CHC itself. There is an issue throughout at least the Commonwealth that is not allowing people to get the care they need. It is very difficult to get a timely appointment here. My experience has been that some of the phone operators feel like they have the power to dictate my healthcare. I would allow this if they were NPs or MDs but they are phone operators and although they think they know my situation. Relying on the gossip and laughter going around the office . The phone operators have no idea of where I have been in life, who I am, and what my medical needs are. They may think my healthcare is a joke, but if the roles were reversed I would think that they would want me to take them seriously.
Negative experience: Have covid. Called and waited 55 minutes & left message with reception Tuesday with no call back. Called Wednesday waited 36 minutes got hung up on. Called back waited 25 minutes to leave another message for a call back from nurse...no call back. Had to call last night and deal with on call physician.
Fantastic experience: I love my doctor here she is amazing and thus center is good
Fantastic experience: I receive Dental and primary care at this facility. My favorite person is my primary care physician, Julie Wright. She is the best doctor I have ever had! She will listen and validate her patients’ concerns and questions, taking as much time as needed. I actually look forward to my visits with her, something I never did in the past with most of my medical providers. I recommend her to anyone who wants an old school, funny, refreshingly honest, person, who respects and advocates for their patients.
Negative experience: It is very very difficult to get a response from Fitchburg CHC either nurse or getting a message to your provider. They never call back and they are so rude in the reception area. It takes for ever for the receptionist to answer the phones or to call back and when they do they are extremely rude.
Fantastic experience: I just have to say how impressed i am with the dental care here!! I have had such a horrible experience somewhere else, Kathleen Takach was so caring and understanding, though my denture procedure. Anything I had questions on she made sure to let me know , step by step. When it was time for my dentures to be ready she made sure I was completely happy. Jackie one of the receptionist at the check in walways was sooo warm and smiling when she saw me..
Negative experience: The place is a joke. So called manage care. I think they pride themselves on saving insurance companies money.
Negative experience: I’m new to CHC and so far I’m not impressed. You can’t get through on the phones, you ask for a call back and you wait most of the day for a call back just to tell them why your calling! Then IF you do get a call back from the nurse they are rude, don’t know what they are talking about and brush you off! I guess I’ll be looking for a different doctor….
Negative experience: UPDATE: Despite having filled out the forms TWICE they still wont let me book a simple telehealth check up for my wife to renew her prescription. This is the third time this song and dance has happened and it is beyond frustrating that every time I try and help my wife these people just refuse to do anything unless she calls in. If I could give you zero stars I would. Not that it matters because no one there cares. Every time I call to try an make any appointment, I am on hold for ten minutes and then the automated system hangs up on me.
Negative experience: No logic at ALL!!!! VERY Inconvenient...makes NO sense at all...cant get ANYWHERE..WHAT A JOKE....created by amateur...and you think patients can figure out what your mission was???
Fantastic experience: This is a great place to have dental work done. I had several teeth repaired recently and the quality of the work is right up there. My compliments to them and to the Gardner dentists also.
Positive experience: I've been going here for a few years now. Behavioral health and primary care. The staff is ok, I have had to switch therapists a few times, and I still can't seem to find one I like. The last guy was awful. I had literally two telehealth appointments with him and he decided we no longer needed to work together, which is a joke because I absolutely need to see someone. So I'm currently looking for someone again. Considering finding a new facility altogether. My primary is great and my psych is pretty good also.
Fantastic experience: Dr/ Austin ... thanks for your humanity with me thanks for your efforts with me all the time appreciate it besides you are very professional , thanks million times is not really enough !!!
Fantastic experience: My optometrist John Dadah is very professional and cordial. It was a relief after dealing with my previous optometrist! Laura in the optical department is AWESOME! She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable throughout the sales process. I highly recommend this office for your vision needs.
Negative experience: Really tired of being disrespected by these people.
Negative experience: This place is terrible. How they are still open is baffling. As the patient you are going to wait months before getting a referral even if you call ever other day. You are better off getting where they are going to send you and setting up appointments yourself. So rather than waiting months, you can get a referral appointment in minutes by doing it yourself. If you have a severely deadly disease like stage 4 cancer. You will be dead before they get back to you with your referral for treatment. I hope someone shuts this place down. It is not a doctors office. It is a patient do it yourself facility. They clearly forgot their oath they took about putting patients first. Patients are just money to them. If you read this and you work their you should be ashamed of yourself. Don't even try to send me a company response on this matter. You are a deplorable place that won't even get a response from me. Maybe or lawyer will respond in the future.
Fantastic experience: I went into the Water St facility today to get a COVID test. The employees there were phenomenal...from the gal who greeted me at the door to the others at the desk area and then on to the nurse who gave me the test. She explained the process to me carefully and eased any anxiety! I highly recommend this place. Fabulous employees!!!!
Negative experience: I was told my appointment would be only 15 minutes and that she wasn't there to talk to me about my problems. 45 minutes later I missed my train and was told I won't be prescribed medication for being "vague". Waste of time avoid here unless you're only looking for someone to talk too.( I've only been diagnosed and prescribed Adderall but they're saying I'm soliciting a controlled substance that doesn't apply to me.)
Fantastic experience: Great dentist
Negative experience: Bridging of teeth - can your dentist do this? Very very very hard to get someone on the phone. spending more than one hour still unable to get through the phone. thanks
Negative experience: Dr. Garo was given to me as a PCP. He always scheduled my appointments at 8:45 pm and spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me. I had to yell his name to get him to come back and talk about that actual reason I was even there. Impossible to get an appointment and referrals to any specialists. After 3 years with him as my PCP all of my health issues have gotten worse. I've never met someone in the medical field more jaded and less caring. He is fresh out of college and already displaying this lack of care in his work. Unbelievable. I have had complications ever since coming here. Dental office upstairs came Completely unprepared to a cleaning. The hygienist said she did not have the proper attachments to clean all of my teeth and ended up only cleaning my front teeth and none of my back. They offered me a free cleaning for my troubles. Why would I want to go back?! I've had two fillings done by different people here and they both still HURT to this day. I have had multiple fillings with other dentists and none of them hurt at all. They are always rushing things and seem cold. I spoke up about a particular tooth on Each of my 6 visits and said it is hurting and I wake up cross eyed in pain and they never Once addressed that tooth. This place is absolutely horrible. They treat everyone poorly because a lot of their patients are on Mass Health, as I was at the time. When you go here you are treated as a Second Rate Citizen. I DO NOT recommend going here or bringing anyone from your family here. My health has only deteriorated from my time at CHC. The Dentist still owes me money and was always having issues tracking payments. They lost paper work quite often and were frankly, Rude at the Desk at the Dental Office up stairs. The front desk for the Doctor's Office down stairs was always very nice and pleasant, hence the 1 single star for the amazing lady who sits in the Middle. Thank You for being the one positive note of my experience.
Negative experience: I first became a patient at CHC just a few months ago. So far, my experiences have been abysmal. My PCP was late for my first appointment, during which she disrespected a minority community; forgot my requested vaccinations twice; and refused to prescribe necessary medications without the approval of a psychiatrist (requiring an early-morning Tuesday intake interview and referral before you can even see them) and a specific endocrinologist (who is, according to my PCP, extremely difficult to get ahold of and very particular about her patients), making it nigh impossible to get said medications despite knowing I've been taking them without complications for years. The psychiatrist cancelled at the last minute. No reason was given. The next available appointment was after I leave the state for the holidays, so I won't be getting any of my medications until January at least. After over an hour of manual tests, my optician insisted I accept a weaker prescription for my contact lenses, despite having the same prescription for several years. With the lenses she gave me, I could barely make out objects halfway across my bedroom. She has also failed to return my calls or make the follow-up call she said she would. The only good experience has been my therapist, who seems just as appalled by all this as I am. I was originally planning to request a new PCP, but at this point, I think I'll go to Leominster. CHC just isn't worth the trouble.
Fantastic experience: Wendy was a great hygienist! She was very thorough as well as pleasant and kind.
Fantastic experience: Clean building, good atmosphere. NP Cote is easy to talk to, caring.
Negative experience: Is bad. My mom has been going for 3 months her previous doctor send her medical records 2 times, and still the new provider denies receiving them. Alsp the provider said "this people here don't know what they are doing, they lose all types of paperwork" Dam I am not taking her there anymore. Bad experience at least for us.
Negative experience: If you have anxiety when dealing with doctors and dentists, this is not where you should be going. For the second time, I left CHC dental in a full blown panic attack. My blood pressure is always going to be high when I’m at the dentist. But having everyone in the office make a huge fuss over it, and take it twelve more times certainly isn’t going to help my severe anxiety! The more it’s fussed with, the higher it’s going to get - especially when by the last time I was already in tears having a full blown panic attack. Sensitivity training in this area may go a long way for the staff. The dentist offered to prescribe me a medication to make the experience easier on me in the future - but why wasn’t this offered after the first time I had a panic attack in their office? If I was taken seriously the first time, we may not be where we are right now. And telling someone in the midst of a panic attack to just take deep breaths and calm themselves probably isn’t going to help either. More people need to understand that it’s not as easy as breathing deeply. No one should leave a medical building feeling ashamed, embarrassed, and anxious. But now I have twice.
Fantastic experience: Best place I have found and awesome after hours very helpful
Negative experience: You see the hygienist for 10 mins then 30 seconds with the dentist. They get nasty if you don’t immediately accept their 30 seconds opinion to fix alleged cavities. I got a second opinion and I have no cavities.
Negative experience: If I could give negative stars, I could. I take a controlled substance for a diagnosed medical condition, and was treated like I was faking for the meds by MULTIPLE people. At first was told that I would be randomly tested to make sure I was taking them and it quickly turned into *every* time. I stopped going here after my doctor tested me for the wrong drug and accused me of not having any of my prescribed meds in my system! I was forced to pee in a cup in front of two strangers and was utterly humiliated. When it came to light that he made a mistake, instead of an apology, I was told by a supervisor that I should expect and accept that sort of treatment in order to receive medical care... which is insane. This was the worst thing I can remember but certainly not the only example of how poorly i was treated as a patient and as a human being.
Negative experience: Awful!! I had to reach a provider on two occasions....I am not a patient this was a professional matter. I was only provided with the main number and each time I called I was on hold for nearly a half hour just to be connected to someone's extension...which they would not share for future calls.
Fantastic experience: Muy buenos empleados
Fantastic experience: Staff is always courteous. Clean. Parking is free.
Positive experience: Good friendly service, but it can take too long to be seen sometimes
Negative experience: The staff deals with too much; and I believe it clouds their minds with judgement and in turn, they often judge every patient as “mentally unstable or typical addict”. Instead of being completely honest with me about record releasing—they told me what I wanted to hear; concerned that I would “make a scene”, I’m guessing. Had they just simply said, “We’re sorry but your Fiancé needs to come in himself and there’s no way around it.” I would have left. But, to make me WAIT and suggest that he call the OFFICE PHONE just so he could be told that he must come down—instead of simply letting them talk to him on my CELLPHONE which would have been 20 minutes faster...♀️ It’s childish. It’s childish also to whisper and speak another language that I don’t understand. Bottom line is the staff needs more help. They shouldn’t have completely ignored me; they made me feel invalidated as a person. The staff needs an overhaul and more people desperately need to be trained properly, not every addict is explosive—and we should all be treated with dignity and respect regardless of our past or diagnosis. Treatment such as this is dangerous and can easily cause a patient on the brink—to relapse. To think this situation happened at a Suboxone clinic is utterly detestable.
Fantastic experience: Drs and staff are very polite and caring.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and I recommend
Fantastic experience: Good people, very caring
Negative experience: I can't stand this place.I honestly believe if you have MA health they will give you inferior care... Preface: I am a long time user of buprenorphine, aka “Subutex”, which is almost the same thing as Subuxone. At 18 years of age I developed an addiction to Oxycontin, which of course escalated into a heroin addiction. After about a year of that hellish lifestyle I got prescribed Suboxone, and than Subutex shortly after because Suboxone , which contains naloxone, gives me headaches.Buprenorphine is a partial opiate agonist, making it a decent painkiller for mild - moderate pain, but not nearly storng enough to treat severe pain. Buprenorphine also binds so tightly to the opiate receptors that it tends to block the effects of full-agonist, ‘proper’ opiates, such as morphine, oxycodone, vicodin, etc. When I was 19 years old. I was in a horrific car accident. Driving around a corner on a windy backroad, I lost control of the car and smashed head on into a huge van. I broke 7 vertebrae, my right humorous, and 3 ribs. I also had a concussion. Somehow I walked out of that car, and was airlifted to the hospital. Lost story short, I was promptly switched from buprenorphine to fentynal, and than to morphine, which I took for a couple months until I did not need it anymore, at which point I got back on Subutex, which has worked for chronic back pain from that accident ever since. There was no trouble, it ws no question; if you are in pain, than you need pain relief... A few days ago, I fell about 12 feet and landed on my (already damaged) back. I could not walk, my friends helped me get on the couch. The next day I had to have an ambulance take me to the hospital because I literally could not even get into the car because it hurt so much to move, at all. The hospital did some x-rays and said I did not break anything, which I find dubious (I know I broke a rib at least), gave me a shot of toridal (which lasts 6 hours), and discharged me, still in pain and still unable to walk. The ambulance drivers were terrific, I must say. The next day I saw my GP, who also did not want to give me painkillers. Go figure. He wrote me a prescription of toridal. Obviously toridol is not going to do it it when you are at a 9/10 level of pain. So I made another trip to the pharmacy, picked that up, and found it nowhere near strong enough, as expected. The next day I called back and told them that I really need some real pain relief stat, and made another appointment with my doctor that day. But it was not my doctor that I saw, it was a Nurse Practitioner. In this state, NP’s cannot even write prescriptions for narcotics, so it goes to show that the never intended on helping me. It was a joke. She gave me a prescription of Gabapentin. I was so angry, I have taken that drug before and it sucks. It’s America’s best selling placebo. I told her “you know, people like you are the reason people like me resort to buying drugs on the street”. That didn’t seem to bother her. Well, it’s been a full two days on gabapentin, toridal, and my precious subutex, which I am going to end up needing to fill early because I have had to take more because I need pain relief. Luckily, I was at least able to obtain some sedatives from a friend, which at least knock me out, allowing me to sleep through the pain. The pain is bad. I cannot stress that enough. I have not abused or even taken an opiate in almost ten years. I am not drug seeking.I am in freakng pain. I will try, yet again to get some real painkillers. I will probably be denied again, but I am not leaving them alone until they do they’re jobs. A this point, I have suffered so much that I wonder if it even matters. Two days later: Still in pain, never even received a call back from CHC (I called on Saturday asking to schedule yet another appointment). Avoid this place. They do not care about you, they only care about money, and if you need controlled substances, forget it, you are SOL. Eff this place.
Negative experience: Doctor who has been my boyfriend's doctor and seen him like 4 times won't sign a form that if it doesn't get done, he won't get this job. It's just saying that his diabetes, which is well under control, won't interfere with his work. He has been fighting with them all day.
Fantastic experience: Great
Fantastic experience: Health care great place
Positive experience: Review of Fitchburg CHC Behavior Health: In general, the behavioral Health department is not that good. I would give it a 2 for quality of care, but since I am able to get my basic needs met, get my scripts refilled, I am giving it a 3. It is also convenient if see other doctors at CHC and there is bus service. There are 2, nurses of psychiatry (similar to a nurse practitioner in the general care department) and one dr of psychiatry (he is so busy, that I believe he is not taking any more patients. I started out seeing the woman, np-psyc, and we just didnt get along. Her style was abrupt and often inappropriate. She has said inappropriate things to me about me and the other staff in the office. She also gave contridictory information from session to session. Also I felt like she really wasnt listening to me or took the time to asses my personal situation. (I could write a book about my experiences with her). So then I was moved to Tony D, also a np-psyc, who is much more timely in the last 2 months, but prior to that, generally ran way behind, making his patients wait 30 min to 1 hour for their appt. However, in his defense, he took the time to listen to everything and answered all my questions. He showed genuine concern and was very caring. But he spends a lot of time looking at his computer for his notes and information which I believe attributed to his large delays. Recently, he is running on time, but doesn't spend as much time answering questions or suggest good alternative options to address my concerns & I feel a more rushed. (Oh well, there needs to be comprimise here). I have been seeing him almost a year and have learned how to work with hime most effectively. I need to rely on myself to take good notes during my visit and also my experience till I see him next. This way I have the information from previous visit(s), log of my feelings & my questions ready. I believe this helps me get my needs met more quickly. However, he still spend a lot of time on the computer and I am not sure why, I think he is checking notes, ect. Unfortunately, this does take time from the appt & for me it is a bit annoying. If you are not the type to keep good records or have a good memory regarding your discussions with him, he may not be a good fit, but worth a shot. And he is definitely better than the other woman.
Fantastic experience: Great drs but some what of a waite even with a appt
Fantastic experience: Excelente me encanta por sus servicios gracias.
Fantastic experience: Its been great for my kids and I.. Micaila is a great doctor for adults and i usually dnt wait that long elizabeth janath is a good pediatrician too
Negative experience: I could not believe how rudely I was treated when I called. The nurse that I spoke with refused to keep talking to me stating, "I have been on the phone with you for 15 minutes and that is too long" and that she needed to punch out. She then hung up on me instead of handing the phone over to another nurse. I have currently been going to this health center for about 6 months and have received absolutely no help for my chronic conditions including but not limited to stomach ulcers, IBS, chronic pain syndrome, and anxiety. The staff is far from pleasant. It is as if they do not care about any thing but a pay check. My PCP (Dr. Kathleen Sweeney) was over two hours late to her last two appointments with me and offered no help. I feel like I am being robbed by the medical field. Not to mention they sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and I could not pick them up. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!!! I am very disappointed and frustrated with their practice, their tone, and their professionalism.
