MHHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), providing a wide range of quality primary, specialty, behavioral health, and supportive services to NYC residents since 1981. In addition to operating nine convenient health centers across the Bronx and Brooklyn, MHHC maintains one of the leading and largest school-based health programs in NYC. With twenty school-based health clinics in the NYC public school system, we provide comprehensive health and social services to students ranging from pre-k to high school. MHHC is "The Caring Place”, where the patient is at the center of everything we do.

Negative experience: This clinic is not how it used to be . You constantly have to call to make an appointment but GYN specifically never answers Their phones for you to even schedule an appointment to begin with. So when you do walk in it seems like they literally only go by appointments because thats all they ask you. I currently been waiting to see the gyn more than a hour and a half now & there was probably only about 3 people in the waiting area. The Gyn comes out & askes me what exactly what am i waiting for as i responded “ to see a gyn “ Her response was “ no your going to see a nurse because im done for the day “ ? So what was the point of asking me what am I here for ? . Looks like some employees here have an attitude. Wait time is just Unnecessarily long .

Negative experience: Very disrespectful clinic they treated you like stupid 2 week treating to get a form fill and the day I go to pick the up she said she need to fill the form, she need more time, it's very disrespectful emailing the Doctor assistant and no one answered so disappointed. I don't recommend no one here

Positive experience: I've been going here for over 20 years and I must say the wait has gotten a lot better. I had an appointment yesterday to get medication and for the first time I wasn't examined. I had an asthma medicine to refill and the NP didn't even listen to my lungs. That was a first, I thought the Np/ doctor had to put hands on a patient to call it a doctor's visit.. I guess things have changed a lot.

Negative experience: I went to this place and the woman who was there was so rude to me and treat me like a piece of .... I go every day to do my blood test the one who works there is so professional...she said another one is on vacation, and was so bad .. waooo I will never come back there.

Fantastic experience: Everybody was extremely accommodating. The appointment was right on time. We did not have a long wait and our nurse was fantastic Staff was friendly as usual. and the room was extremely clean.oh pd we love the charge nurse and she remembers my son and that is extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend for people that have special needs.

Negative experience: I scheduled an app for a physical a couple of months ago, when the day of the app came the appointment was canceled, because the doctor has left in December my appointments was on Jan 30 at 9:40 am and nobody informed me that the doctor no longer was there. I was referred to see another doctor at burnside at 1:20 pm

Negative experience: Worst place ever
Negative experience: I’ve been going here since I was little I’m an adult now so I’m responsible for booking my own appointments. But MY GOD the customer service is so unprofessional, my doctor gave me a call this morning to discuss lab work with me over the phone. I’ve been calling ALL DAY SINCE 9AM when she called me and I could not get through to anybody all day. This is so unprofessional, it’s thanksgiving week and I have a busy work schedule if I need to come in to get some medication I would need to know as soon as possible. But now I have to wait until tomorrow when she’s in again at 8 but what’s the point of having a phone number if NOBODY ON STAFF WILL PICK UP AND ATTEND TO YOU? So unprofessional please if this is your first time going here go else where.
Negative experience: Terrible with paperwork. I had something due on the 28th of August. It is the third of September and when I go to pick up my form fills they tell me that the doctor was on vacation.. you had six extra days to figure something, anything out..couldn’t have anyone fill it out? customer service and communication is even worse. Do not come here if you are a nursing student or have strict deadlines. a physical should not be this much of an issue. This is the second time I’ve had a problem with paperwork. I have had other issues but I’ve said enough. Most of the doctors and staff have been great In person but it feels very disorganized most of the time.
Negative experience: I took my 6 year old son here in hopes of getting him some behavioral counseling. The pre-screen was about 20 mins with a social worker asking me questions about my son. She said that I would receive a letter in the mail informing me if my son could receive services there. A month later I received a call telling me my son was referred to another center that can better help kids with ADHD. I was taken a back because my son doesn’t have ADHD. The Social Worker said from the information given that’s what he seems to have. A Social Worker cannot diagnose anyone with anything so I didn’t bother to go back and forth with her. She said I would receive a letter in the mail with the center he is referred to. I received the letter about a week later with what I thought was two behavioral different centers. I called and they were just Pre schools. No type of counseling or behavioral help was offered at either location they referred my son to. What a waste of time! MORRIS HEIGHT HEALTH CENTER BEHAVIORAL DEPARTMENT IS A JOKE.
Negative experience: asi es alexandra cruz y luego te cancelan la cita porque dicen que tu llegaste tarde, aparte de la negligencia medica y hasta racismo se podria decir que tienen ciertos doctores. especialmente una senora que es pediatra ya muy mayor de edad ella... y viendo que los ninos necesitan medicinas optan por no indicarlas ya yo tuve un caso y hasta la reporte...
Negative experience: Sad how I been coming here for years . Walkins are at 930 but the clinic dont open till 10 am then I come in at 945 and the security guard tells me there not open yet but I'm the only one not being let in everyone else is being let in before 10 .... but if I get mad they wont give me medical help like really this place has gone down badly....dont hire people that dont know what there doing ...sad
Negative experience: This place is horrible, not only are they irresponsible with paperwork but they would have other doctors take care of you and then wouldn’t give you the results. People that work here are unprofessional and make excuses rather than helping you. I suggest nobody goes here and do no let Ms. Ododo be your doctor!

Negative experience: Morris Heights has been apart of my families lives for so many years. In all these years I've never experienced such an unprofessional visit like I did today. My husband and I went to the WIC center located on 183rd and Walton as an emergency walk in due to the fact our newborn ran out of formula. We were told in the past that when ever my son runs out of formula that we can always just go in and they will help. But this wasn't the case today. One of the female workers came out very sarcastic and disrespectful. She pretty much told us in her own words that my husband and I do not support our son with out knowing our emergency situation we are in. She started bringing up the little income I receive which I receive ssi in the end of the month which is in 3 days and said WIC isn't supposed to supply everything my son needs. She said that we are supposed to provide as well. We understood that she couldn't change the dates. My husband got annoyed which he has every right to be and said he wanted to speak to someone in a higher position. She started getting sarcastic and said to me that she was going to put a note in my file about my husband because she felt threatened and I right away defended the situation and my husband and said " a note about what? That my husband is upset because you can't help and my son ran out of formula? That someone in this center gave us false information saying to come in and we will be helped?". She made it seem like we were blaming her that my son ran out of formula. We only went in and asked for help. This was the worst visit EVER at this center. This woman does not deserve to have the privilege to be working in a family oriented place like this. If Morris Heights terminates this woman, Morris Heights will be a better more friendlier place for families.
Negative experience: I have to wait 4 hours waiting !! That's stupid !!
