Our comment from Nutrifinder.net about Atrius Health Burlington:
Atrius Health Burlington is a medical facility that offers a range of health services, including primary care, pediatrics, and specialty consultations. Many patients have praised the dedicated staff and the quality of care they receive, highlighting the compassionate nature of the doctors and the welcoming environment.
Some of the standout features of Atrius Health Burlington include:
- Highly regarded primary care doctors and pediatricians who truly listen to their patients.
- Clean and well-organized facilities, providing a pleasant experience for visitors.
- Quick access to specialist referrals and a convenient online patient portal.
- Patient-friendly services, including same-day appointments and efficient check-in processes.
However, there have been notable concerns regarding the scheduling and communication processes, with several patients reporting issues with cancelled appointments and long wait times for responses from staff. Additionally, some patients expressed frustration over billing practices that appeared overly complex or misleading.
Overall, while Atrius Health Burlington has its shortcomings in terms of operational management, many patients appreciate the level of care from individual providers, making it a facility that still holds value for those seeking medical services.
Atrius Health Burlington: Reviews
Negative experience: I am extremely mad about how poorly the scheduling system has been handled. My appointment was cancelled three times. For the second and third cancellations, I received no call, message, or email. I only found out the second appointment was cancelled because I called to confirm something. I have waited for several months for this appointment. I even took PTO from work to make sure I could attend. I rescheduled for a third time, drove one hour early in the morning to the location, and was told again that the appointment was cancelled. I was informed that a notification was sent through the MyHealth Online app last night around 9 PM—this is completely unacceptable. On top of that, the medical assistant told me I would receive a call to reschedule the appointment, but no one ever called. I waited the entire day. This lack of communication and respect for my time is outrageous. I will not be returning to this place again.
Fantastic experience: Great primary care doctors and amazing pediatricians. I’ve always received great care and prompt service.
Fantastic experience: Went into radiology for x-rays and to get a diagnosis with an orthopedic physician. Good people and everything was in a well timely manner.
Negative experience: Atrius Health has gone down after UnitedHealth Care acquired them. Annual physical is now conducted by nurse practitioners instead of Doctors. They never have flu shots in stock on the day of physical and are short staffed for imaging etc. You have to come back to tests.
Positive experience: Everyone is very nice and helpful. My dr is very good and listens to me about my health really listens
Negative experience: On my patient portal they put this visit at their Burlington Urgent Care as an "urgent care visit at Burlington Urgent Care" yet billed my appointment as a "specialist office appointment." When I inquired about this, they said they are NOT an urgent care and actually bill as part of "NPI Atrius Health" which apparently is deemed specialist office appointment. This is extremely misleading and wrong. Beware when going here that this is NOT an urgent care.
Negative experience: This not exclusive to just the Burlington location. Doctors and staff are great. They are always understaffed and running behind. I’m always early to appointments and made to wait excessive amounts of time to see anyone. Billing is super complex and no one can ever explain where bills came from and why it was a given number. God forbid you try to find out what you paid for exactly, they’ll send you several phone numbers to call just to have that department send you somewhere else with no insight. For years Atrius has lowered their standards to cut costs and raise their profits. The only thing keeping me there is my primary care doctor I’ve had for years.
Fantastic experience: I went to the Urgent Care and Dr Cornwell was so patient kind and gentle. We wanted him as our PCP but he is UC doctor He kindly said I’m here anytime you need me. If you feel unwell just come over Just being around him calmed my nerves and gave me relief The premises were spotlessly clean and the nurse was very sweet when she drew blood The online portal is easy to navigate and sign up was easy too
Negative experience: Switched my primary care to Atrius in March of last year. Specialists I’ve seen in hand surgery and ENT have been amazing, however the internal med staff desk staff are typically rude and clearly burnt out. Long wait times for responses on questions. Usually takes 3-5 calls over multiple days to get any answers. Left without medication twice due to clerical issues. Left 2 stars for the good experience with specialists and staff that do care.
Negative experience: This location offers both audiology and ENT services, but does NOT offer hearing aid services here. Instead, patients have to go all the way into Boston, Dedham, or Quincy for them. It is not convenient at all and utterly ridiculous!
Fantastic experience: Thank you for helping me
Negative experience: Awful.. just like every other Atrius health/Harvard Vanguard ..
Fantastic experience: Love my PCP: Dr. Roan. Really like being able to call for a sick appointment and see an urgent care doctor same day! Urgent care here has been much better than other places in the area.
Positive experience: It seems like an efficiently-run and clean clinic. I mostly come for the allergy dept which is splendid. The only issue I have here is that the provided “Public” wifi is absolutely atrocious, which is an issue for me since I have to wait between appointments on weekdays and cannot work on such a poor connection. I can’t find any access points with the naked eye and I think a network engineer is badly needed.
Fantastic experience: I went into the Burlington radiology department today nervous about the hip joint cortisone shots that I was about to receive. I have to say that the two women, Amy and Jeanmarie were awesome! They made me feel comfortable right away and were two of the most caring and supportive women. They turned an anxious person calm through the whole procedure. Thank you to you amazing women . Your department is lucky to have you on staff.
Fantastic experience: Thanksss for helping me I had a better night n today I feel better thank u again for making time for my care n health thanks Dr Edgar Ross
Fantastic experience: I have been really happy with the staff, I hav emu PCP here and everyone is always nice and answers all questions I may have professionally- Specifically I would like to thank Rachel Rosan for helping to answer questions I had. She is great!!!
Fantastic experience: Great providers, my kids and I have been going to this place for over 10 years.
Negative experience: I went to the Burlington location for the first time today to get a refill on my medication and had the worst experience with CSILLA Korom, NP. She told me she wasn’t going to refill my medication that I was already on for over a month and she wanted to me change to something different which means I have to go through all of the hassle of getting another prior authorization approved through my insurance. I told her I wanted to see someone else and she brings in the office manager after leaving me inside the room for 20mins. Not for nothing what is the office manager going to do she’s not a Dr or NP.
Hi Kristi,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We would like to learn more. Please contact our Corporate Patient Experience department at 617-559-8440 or [email protected]. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: I can’t say thank you enough to Dr. Colin MacNeill, he’s so knowledgeable and kind. His team members are so nice and professional, especially with the wonderful nurse, her name is Rachely Romero, Thank you obgyn team Burlinton for your great service!
Negative experience: Went for pediatric ENT referral, had multiple visits where we never even got to speak to a doctor. Simply had a hearing test administered and were sent on our way with a follow up appointment. Very poor communication and patient experience across all staff we interacted with. Will not be returning.
Fantastic experience: I took my mother to the Urgent Care there. Every person there was extremely pleasant and helpful even though they were quite busy. I especially appreciated the fact that the nurse practitioner, when asking my mother about how she was feeling, actually sat down and looked at her and listened to what she was saying. It was a positive experience and we left there feeling that we had received quality care. I would definitely be willing to go there again even though it is a bit farther for me than a number of other Urgent Care places.
Negative experience: Not provide good service. Anytime they canceled the appointment and they reschedule new appointments without call or without any noticed. And Drs don't know how to take medication they told you can take 4 medication at the time. And drs have so much attitude with rudeness.
We are sorry that you've received less than excellent service. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please contact our corporate patient relations department at 617-559-8440 or email [email protected].
Fantastic experience: I have been to the pediatrics, OBGYN, and lab at this building. All have been wonderful experiences! The wait is brief and everyone is super friendly. They now have kiosks to check in when you first arrive making it more efficient. We have been so happy with our care from the nurses to our doctors, Dr Christina Tierney and Dr. Maria Fung. Everyone has been thorough and compassionate. We feel so grateful for our experiences here, especially being new parents!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Marc Rosenthal and the speech pathologist Kathleen Murphy were great with my son. The only downside is some of the receptionists (not all of them) that are rude or not helpful.
Fantastic experience: The whole staff on my visits have been friendly and made me feel warmly welcomed. The nurses and doctors took their time with me My experience was great!
Negative experience: They are simply not competent. They lost critical blood tests for a potentially life threatening bloodborne infection for an immunocompromised patient... TWICE. In a row. Doctors are not top tier and most are out-of-date on their education. They follow standard checklists without thinking anything through. When you question them or offer information from your own research, they get upset at their authority being challenged, but then they (literally - not figuratively) Google the exact same question to get the same answers. The best thing I can say for them is they are very good at following strict policies.
Negative experience: Billed me $500 for a 15-minute initial physical therapy appointment. I think this is an example of taking advantage of people in chronic pain. Take precaution, folks. They definitely overcharge. If you choose to use them, verify coverage with your insurance provider first.
Positive experience: The pharmacy is always busy and only has one window ever open. Other Harvard Vanguards usually have a 2nd window when busy. That would be helpful. It's hard waiting this long all the time with a sick child
Fantastic experience: Tiffany from the financial department is the BEST!!! She listened to my needs and provided me with detailed information regarding my financial situation. I was so confused, and she helped me understand how my insurance plan works. (Even better than my insurance agent)
Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to be accepted as a new patient from a family-friend internal medicine doctor, even though she typically is not currently accepting new patients. She is extremely intelligent and has provided me with personalized care, including ordering tests for preventative medicine, than any other PCP I've been a patient of before. She was also able to refer me to Harvard Vanguard internal nutrition, behavioral health, and testing services, which Harvard Vanguard was able to schedule extremely quickly. Literally every single staff member of the Harvard Vanguard network, from the several medical providers I've seen thus far, to all their support staff, are extremely friendly and professional. My experiences at Harvard Vanguard is at the top of my experience with any medical provider I've seen in my life, and is roughly on par with the also-exceptional service I received from Massachusetts General Hospital. I'd highly recommend new potential patients give Harvard Vanguard a shot!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Rosenthal is the best pediatrician ever!!! Definitely will always take my son to him!! Very thorough and shows he cares/addresses any concerns.
Fantastic experience: We are using this facility for pediatric, adult primary care, allergists, ultrasound, pharmacy and lab. Everything is great. Easy to make an appointment (including same day appointment for kids), quick check in, everyone is friendly and responsive. It’s very easy and convenient to get any lab tests or pick up any medication at the pharmacy downstairs. All doctors are communicating well using the patient portal. They have 24/7 nurse on call who pick up the phone very quickly.
Fantastic experience: This is probably the nicest Atrius facility we've been to. As always, visits are on time and clinicians are careful and kind.
Negative experience: I’ve tried to contact these people about test results for two days now with no call back. I see some scary info in MyChart app but I don’t have a doctor to tell me what it all means. This office has terrible communication with patients
Negative experience: If you want to just be another number go here. If you have any issues the nurses are great but the doctors take days to give them an answer. Forget about sick visits they will just send you to urgent care. This place is terrible.
Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Harvard Vanguard Burlington for the last six years. Both myself and my kids have had very positive experiences with the medical professionals and staff here. I appreciate being able to use their app to communicate with the team, Book appointments, pay deductibles and complete electronic forms. I have leveraged the after hours consultations and even urgent cares located around the Boston area. We are now on our second primary care physician for the kids and although I still miss the original, Dr. Rosenquist who moved to one of their Boston proper locations, I am very thankful that Dr. Fung is so amazing! The only mediocre advice I have ever received from any of the staff was that I should carry all of my kids booster seats and car seats with me on an international trip. It’s my fault for asking, as my conscience weighed on me that if something happened and they weren’t using these safety devices that I would blame myself so I asked them for their opinion. And of course, they had to tell me based on best practice and US law so I took booster and car seats to Africa and didn’t use any but the infant seat. Overall, the facility is clean and super convenient. Not only can we see our PCPs, but they have several specialists and pharmacy on site. Due to the net work of clinics, we can usually find an appointment during the same day and even over the weekends in the case of a critical issue. The only thing I would change about the appointment process is to bring back the coloring pages and crayons and the magnet for the table for the kids in the waiting area. The fish tank helps entertain but parents can use some help & coloring can be safely completed at a distance if need be.
Negative experience: They are all about the money. I am self employed pay 2700$ money for health insurance and have a really good plan. I get bills from Attrius after a fairly routine appointment. 900$. I call my insurance and they are stating they are being substantially overcharged and have to pass it on to the policy holder. Quality is not what is was. I can say that since I have been with them for over 35 years.
Fantastic experience: Always have a great experience with everyone there. So helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Negative experience: IMPOSSIBLE to get an in-person sick visit. When you call with a concern, the secretary couldn’t care less and wants to turf you to the covid line.
Negative experience: I went to Atrius Health Burlington office a few times, most of time are fine, but this time, I felt horrible and couldn’t continue my ultrasound and had to left ! The nurse who brought me (an old lady with shoulder -long hair )in is rude and attitude is cold, not kid friendly. They didn’t let my husband in cuz we brought our daughter, and then that’s fine , while I’m waiting there, I heard my daughter cry for looking for me, I just came out to check my daughter, she told me I’m not allowed to walk around, never consider a mom’s feeling to worry about daughter! Then another staff called Elizabeth.D .Fantini came to do ultrasound for me, I told her my feelings, she felt upset and said I’m yelling at her, and asked me a few times if I need to reschedule, I’m totally doing what she told me to do and very cooperative to check, what’s her point to keep ask me if i need to reschedule again, I won’t be in MA for next half month, I have to miss this ultrasound. How can I bear an upset doctor to do the fetal ultrasound for 30 minutes without patience! What a bad experience!
Negative experience: Diagnosed with COVID 19. I was sick 14 days with multiple complications. I was never contacted by my primary care physician once. I sent e mail, and multiple phone calls demanding contact from a Doctor. I was only contacted by nurse practitioners by telehealth. Bad enough my Doctor made no effort to contact me, but no Doctor ever contacted me. When I developed a cough and had tight chest, I was given a prescription which helped....but when I asked if I should go to Hospital if my breathing difficulty got worse, nurse practitioner told me to call back and she would prescribe inhaler. Every news station, and medical website says to go to hospital if breathing difficulty starts. How could I have confidence in my treatment after that I am 55 years old and have had multiple primary care Doctors. I have never dealt with a nurse practitioner, and never want to again. This was a horrible approach to treating a serious issue. Seemed like I was being advised by amateurs when I needed my Doctor most. I will be looking for a new Doctor ASAP. If this is how Harvard Vanguard treats serious issues, STAY AWAY!!!!
Fantastic experience: Sarah Alimi the physical therapist here is AMAZING. She is very professional, funny and intelligent. She delivers instructions and advice in a very understandable manner and I really appreciate her help!
Negative experience: The receptionist in the pediatric waiting room is rude. Got to my daughters appointment on time however there was a long line to check in, in the main lobby because their was only one receptionist checking everyone in. So as a result I was 10 minutes late to my daughters appointment. Waited about 15-20 more minutes upstairs in pediatric room, without anyone telling us what is going on. When I ask the receptionist upstairs she says I was 10 minutes late she doesn’t know when my daughter will be seen. I told her what happened downstairs and she tells me “I can only go by what the computer tells me.” No compassion. Very disappointed.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Emmer is the best ob/gyn any expecting mother can ask for. He is so pleasant and kind. By far the best doc I've ever seen. How do I get ahold of Steve Strongwater because he really needs to know this. Most doctors just see you, prescribe and claim they will be there for you but not Dr. Emmer he keeps his word.
Fantastic experience: I met with Dr. Mucucci, ENT specialist. Fabulous visit, he was informative and very attentive. Staff was pleasant and kind. .
Negative experience: The staff at the pharmacy, lab and doctor's offices are good people but the greeters are surly, shrieking women who think they are doing you a favor by letting you in the building, and need to be put out to pasture and not in front of customers. This is why I will no longer go inside and am transferring my care to the VA.
Fantastic experience: I would like to give 5 stars to Harvard Vanguard clinic for: Dr Gorvine, Dr Emmer and his staff, and the front desk ladies.
Negative experience: I usually wait like twenty minutes past appointment time and that’s not fair with the billing. I don’t get like at least twenty minutes away it’s the provider. Also, they didn’t give me a chance to describe the situation.
Negative experience: Pediatrics service is terrible. Not one time without long time waiting. Every single time that the appointment runs late. 20min-wait is already a blessing. One time we had to wait for 25min (past the appointment time) for a nurse to give us a flu shot. Until my 6-month old started to cry and I asked the front desk to check. And I am pretty sure she forgot our appointment until she got the call from the concierge. They said they need to sanitize the room. It’s 5pm! And no one was in the waiting room. I didn’t see patient coming out since I was there. What kind of sanitation do you need to do!? I could see empty rooms through the hallway. (and we did finally use one of them, which didn’t need any preparation at all.) When you visit, just be ready that your time worth nothing! You little one crying and being uncomfortable also means nothing to them.
Negative experience: Do not trust this facility or it’s doctors. Our doctor suggested a blood test that she said would cost us only $300. Well we just received the bill and it’s $9400!!!!!! The attorney general is investigating.
Fantastic experience: My parents started bringing me to Harvard Vanguard as a kid and I continued to go there until I permanently moved out of MA after graduating college. I always had a really good experience here; quick service and kind, compassionate staff. It actually makes me sad to see them have such a low star rating when they are in fact really good! The receptionists were always friendly and cordial. Dr. Swearington was also always wonderful to me, as were the gynecology doctors and nurses when I started seeing them as an adult. I had to have a couple procedures done and always received great support and kindness. I would recommend using these guys as your primary care provider any day!
Negative experience: Harvard Vanguard runs behind on every single appt, that is the only thing you can rely on here; literally by 20-40 minutes every time. What is the point of “coming a few minutes early” by request when you’re going to wait past your appointment time. You will never be able to see your primary care physician unless booking months out, so there’s really no continuance of care. Many of the doctors here are not full time and sub to/from other practices so they’re tightly scheduled. Because of tightly packed schedules, doctors are extremely dismissive to parents about underlying issues. It was only in me seeing a completely new NP that my daughter was able to get the referral she needed to be seen at Children’s Hospital in Boston for a recurring GI issue that she is now prescribed preventative medication for. Her doctor kept telling me it was “just a virus” for over a year, despite ER visits etc. Practice feels more like a factory. While the Chelmsford practice is a bit better, it’s only better by inches not miles. They have home questionnaires here that are extremely personal, borderline invasive. I would recommend avoiding these “practices” like the plague. Unfortunately we are stuck here until I am able to get back onto our old insurance and out of “Atrius Health”.
Positive experience: I was pleasantly surprised when scheduling an appointment with my primary care doctor today. Melissa who helped me schedule the appointment was so pleasant, honest and was able to get me the help that I needed. I honestly dread calling HV in Burlington because it's usually an unpleasant experience, but Melissa was an absolute gem. Thanks!
Negative experience: The WORST HVMA location ever, do yourself a favor - run and never come back there. -5 stars. Lack of proper procedures by the OByGyn appointment staff, supervisor Tina is super rude and blames patients on their staff own hiccups. She also is not holding people accountable for the mess they do and as an old proverb says: "a fish rots from the head down" is so true for this practice. Stay away from this place and save yourself few nerve cells by avoiding the stress they'll put you in.
Negative experience: This place needs management change. I spoke with Melissa at Internal medicine and she is not helpful at all. She does not do her job. She does not listen. She hang up on me. She keep passing the buck and I wasted so much of my time!! She had lousy attitude and poor customer service skills!!
Fantastic experience: Just want to give 5 stars for my daughter's pediatric doctor Dr. Marc Rosenthal. He takes care of my daughter since her born and it was always pleasure time to meet Dr. Rosenthal. He is very patient and nice and experienced, especially he found my daughter's milk allergy in short time.
Negative experience: Daughter recently changed primary care provider. Couldn’t get an appt with primary care even though accepting new patients. She saw the NP for first visit. Too much information to share here but let’s just say it was a total mess—couldn’t fill prescription, referred to wrong specialist, had to make another appointment to talk about why couldn’t fill prescription, referred to in-house specialist and was told had no appointments available at this location until December 2020 but maybe in their Peabody location in May. She needs the prescription now and was also told to go back to her former doctor for a refill until she could get an appointment with a specialist. Needless to say, will be looking for another primary care provider. If I could give 0 stars I would!
Negative experience: I had scheduled an annual physical with my primary care provider over a year ago for February. I received a call today saying the appointment was cancelled for no apparent reason and that the next available appointment would be June.
Negative experience: Extremely Bad attitude of the office and billing department. No explanation about additional charges, I got kicked between bill and office several times, still did not understand why the charge was so high.
Negative experience: A total cluster ...
Negative experience: Very disorganized, very poor service. Appointments are frequently cancelled with no notification or attempt to contact patients.
Hi Pete,
We are sorry to hear you have experienced poor service. We would like to learn more about your experience. Please contact our corporate patient relations department at [email protected] or 617-559-8440.
Negative experience: Went in bc on Christmas I came down with something and felt like warmed over death. Throat was horribly painful, massive headache, runny nose and my sinuses were swollen and on fire. They tested me for strep and it came back negative so they said they would send it out for a more in depth test but said it was likely the flu. Three days have passed and the results still arent back and the last three days were miserable. I found another clinic to go to and it took all of 5 minutes before they said i had a sinus infection. They ran a test to be sure and sure enough it was. They gave me an antibiotic and 8 hours later i no longer feel like warmed over death. It will still take time to recover but at least i am trending up instead of down. I am never going to this dump again. Avoid at all costs
Fantastic experience: Our PCPs for our entire family are here and they are always on time, professional, helpful and reliable. we are extremely happy with the care that they provide! Kids' pediatrician is Dr. Anderson and he is so nice and boys love him! I would recommend Harvard vanguard to anyone looking for a quality medical care.
Positive experience: Before I went to my appointment I saw this set of reviews, a peculiar mix 1 and 5 stars, and I made a mental note to leave a clear review. I normally go to Atrius in Concord, but was referred here for a specialty and have had just the one visit. That said: Navigation/location/parking: easy, at least at 2PM on a weekday. Intake: a single queue for two intake staffers, slightly oversubscribed leading to about a 5 minute wait there. My receptionist was cheerful and efficient, and made sure I knew where to go next. Appointment: I was called in before I even sat down. 1st stop was a hearing test - Burlington is equipped with that facility, and the tech that ran that test was OK, not great. Then to an exam room where a competent cheerful staffer took my vitals and left me to complete a short easy intake screening survey. She left the Epic screen locked which is good, sometimes at other locations I've seen a screen left up from a prior patient (not good). After a very brief wait, Dr. Haddad knocked and entered. I was very impressed with Dr. Haddad and would definitely go to her practice again should the need arise. Easy departure, and location is convenient to the Wayside shopping area should one want to combine errands or a meal. Not 5 stars in all, but still very good, and overall I prefer Concord. I think some of the 1-star folks here probably either hit an especially busy time (it happens), or are just the sort that seem to have 1-star experiences everywhere they go, hmm.
Fantastic experience: Best Drs and staff from beginning til end in every department
Fantastic experience: Clean and efficient
Negative experience: Behavioral medicine appointments.. 15 minutes? Hmm.. so I'm on disability and 15 mins 2x a year is acceptable? ... one a great place.. now a total joke. Nurse practitioner only in behaviour health.. never once saw an actual psychiatrist.. wow. Waited 3 months for a physical.. federalized healthcare.. enjoy it.
Positive experience: Harvard Vanguard in itself is a great place however my experiences with the pediatric office having anything but everytime I call for an appointment for my daughter they never have any appointment times available ever since they moved back upstairs they never have any appointment times available if something should come up they don't answer the phones in a timely fashion and then when they do answer the phones they disconnect you before even saying hello and you know I think that there mannerisms have gone downhill since they went from downstairs back to upstairs cuz when they were downstairs I could get my daughter in anytime they always had appointment times available now they never seem to have any available like I called today because she Twisted her ankle and I wanted to get it looked and i was told we don't have any times available but we'll have a nurse contact you I've been waiting over an hour for a nurse to call me back regarding my daughter's ankle and what good is it to have a nurse call back if my daughter's ankle is sprained it needs to be looked a nurse can't tell me that over the phone I transferred my daughter from Woburn Pediatrics to Harvard Vanguard in Burlington because the doctors at Harvard know what they're doing they can attend to her needs quickly and easily and the attention they give their patients back then was flawless but now that they've moved upstairs to a bigger office they don't seem to have that same attention for their patients it's aggravating and disappointing
Fantastic experience: It is always a pleasant experience. The staff and doctors and nurses listen and are great.
Fantastic experience: I would recommend this medical practice and facility to anyone! It's convenient as they have Women's Health, Internal/ Primary Care, and the Pharmacy all in the same location. I am always greeted with a smile, they are efficient, knowledgeable and I often get a follow up call to check in after my visit. I don't often write reviews, but the staff, nurses, and doctors deserve to be mentioned!
Negative experience: Spent 4 hours here, including over an hour waiting for an xray of my daughter's elbow, to be told there was no fracture. So, we came home and changed her clothes, gave her a bath etc, only to find out the following day at Childrens that her arm had indeed been fractured that whole time. Ouch. We've had quite a few issues with the pediatric department here, but this is by far the worst experience yet.
Negative experience: Good staff overall, but beware the pharmacy, the pharmacy staff lies, and when your Rx is on back order they won't tell you, even if weeks have passed by, then when you finally realize it and want to get two refills at once (because its now time for the second refill) they won't let you. It is nice that they look for discounts for you in your meds, but it doesn't make up for the poor service otherwise.
Negative experience: DO NOT use Harvard Vanguard, you can’t go anywhere outside of their little network to do anything or else you pay the full fee, no copays. Stay away if you can.
Negative experience: No way to do zero stars! The Burlington pediatric office is absolutely horrendous! Wait time is min of 45 WITH AN APPOINTMENT and another 35 IN ROOM. Not to mention if you call during the day for anything not only are the Nurses extremely rude but you won't get a call back for atleast 24 hours and literally the nurse says my answering machine never picked up, yeah because you NEVER called! Yes her manager, the chief of medicine and my children's doctors all called me with NO issue! Oh and chief of medicine will tell you there's NOTHING he can do about ANYTHING with out it in writing... well here's your SIGN!! Thanks for doing nothing for my kid and not treating her fever or ear infection in a timely manner!
Negative experience: Everyone is friendly, doctors are nice and welcoming, but the nurses (Diane Parker mostly) are unorganized and are too oblivious to what the hell is going on nor care to find out whats going on.
Fantastic experience: Love this place. Clean, professional, on time, kind, and knowledgeable. Will stay for a very long time!
Negative experience: So disappointing. Our medical office merged with Atrius Health in Burlington and we've had a HORRIBLE experience ever since. They are impossible to reach via phone to make an appointment (over 20+ minutes on hold). My husband went down first thing in the morning to arrange a sick visit (and they could only fit him in for the next day!). The receptionist said most people end up coming in since it's so bad. And to top it off, they managed to screw up the time for his appointment so he got stuck waiting for an opening. So frustrating, so badly mismanaged and both our original doctors have notified us they are leaving for another practice too. If that's not a sign how awful this place is now, I don't know what is.
Positive experience: Competent staff, but extremely long wait-times when trying to reach a department.
Fantastic experience: Ive been going here for almost 10 years and they have always taken care of me and acknowledged my concerns about my health and are always there to answer any questions. Staff has always been wonderful to me and im very happy with the doctors i currently have. I wont go anywhere else
Fantastic experience: I go to this office for several years. And I am very pleased with everything. Facility is clean, well organized waiting room with comfortable chairs, staff is friendly and helpfull. My primary care doctor Edward Wong is excellent so is Dr. Sheikh, the cardiologist. I saw them on a regular basis and they both take time especially Dr. Sheikh to provide an excellent medical care. Some people complain about waiting time - never happens with me, I am always called on time. I would recommend this facility and doctors to everyone. Forgot to add, at some point my primary physician was on vacation and Dr. Wei Yang substituted him. I just can not say enough about what an outstanding doctor she is!
Negative experience: I was referred to the OBGYN at the Burlington office from the Watertown office since my original doctor had left. What a difference in service! The doctor I saw had absolutely no bedside manner and the nurses were rude. Transferred to another OBGYN after the experience.
Hi Jennifer,
We are sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact patient relations at 617-559-8440 or [email protected].
Negative experience: 45 minute wait is THE NORM. There's no apology, no acknowledgement of having to wait. A few years back i was punched in the stomach while pregnant and STILL had at least a 30 minute wait (i was terrified). The doctors and nurses are fine, but long wait times are not quality health care.
Negative experience: Terrible place. I went in for an early risk assessment, at the very end of the window in which I can even do the assessment, and I accidentally got the time wrong and showed up 20 minutes late. They would not fit me in. I drove 20 minutes to get there, then another 35 minutes to work. They do not care about me, my baby, or my time. They seemed to only care about punishing me for my mistake. DO NOT USE THEM.
Negative experience: Do not use the Fertility services at this location, absolutely horrible experience. The office staff (Trisha especially) are incredibly ignorant and unprofessional. You'll get continues run-arounds if you are trying to ask a simple question. I was trying to make a payment on March 30th for an appointment on April 14th - After numerous messages someone finally gave me a call the evening of April 5th. At this time they informed me that the prices have gone up starting on April 1st, and that now I owe more money for the April 14th appointment. If I would have made the payment on March 30th, the quoted price would have still applied. How can you trust this office with tens of thousands in fertility treatments if they can raise rates without warning and demand higher payments after a number has already been quoted? A request to speak with a manager resulted in me being transferred to a line that run for 5 min without anyone picking up or reaching a voice mail box. Do not trust this office.
Positive experience: Parking fills up but they don't get too far behind usually.
Negative experience: Staff is great Dr Gorvine not so much
Fantastic experience: all my friends like this place. very good experience. busy place. normally have to wait twenty minutes before we can meet the obs.
Fantastic experience: Everyone is very friendly and I'm always able to make same day appointments which is a plus. I've never had trouble here. And the parking situation is completely adequate.
Negative experience: Used to be a good place, but not anymore.. I've had my primary care Dr change 3Xs in the last 8yrs because they all leave, the NP I was seeing left too.. Also when calling you'll be waiting AT LEAST 5 mins on hold to talk to some one.. Also the parking is Horrible now, good luck finding a spot! Like I said USED to be a Good place..
