Fantastic experience: I stumbled upon Empowerment Physical Therapy due to getting injured at work and my orthopedic surgeon gave me a list. I called them and since I started going to Empowerment Physical Therapy, it has been great. One of the best PT places I have ever been. Complete professionalism. From the assistant Kyle, Dr. Lin and Dr. Em. They get to know there patients and understand what is needed to get you back to where you should be. From day one it has been a pleasure being with them. This will be a place that I will definitely come back to if I ever need it. I have been able to bend my knee better with there help. I am truly grateful for learning about them. Fantastic experience: I injured my neck/shoulder area at work months ago. I was in a lot of pain and very stiff. I’ve had multiple treatments to the affected areas and they’ve shown a positive response. While working with my therapist at Empowerment Physical Therapy I always feel that they are attentive, always in a good spirits and eager to help. One of my personal program treatments involves cupping’, which I’ve never experienced before. It really loosens up my kneck and shoulder area allowing me more mobility and pain relief. I recommend Empowerment Therapy and will continue to go to future treatments if needed.

Negative experience: I went to this location seeking treatment on 1/17/2025. I spoke to Dr. Lin via telephone prior to making my appointment. I asked Dr. if they accepted my insurance. Dr. Lin said “yes”, which is why I went to this location seeking treatment. After an hour length of conversation and assessment that day of my appointment. I was then told that I was out of network to then being told that I had to pay 500 and up for treatment. It was very frustrating because I waisted gas and time that day when I could have been told prior in advance that I was out of network. Please don’t scam people like this and be straightforward next time.

Fantastic experience: I personally feel that explaining my experience at Empowerment Physical Therapy is overdue and can help anyone second guessing themselves in regards to if they should do it or not. I have for a good ten years suffered from pain ranging from top left portion of my neck all the way down to left side part of tailbone, with at times random spots on my right side. For about five years I dealt with a chiropractor and eventually you realize that the issues you are experiencing are more muscle related which is where Empowerment Physical Therapy comes in. My brother was already going to this location and he was the one to give me that “push” to give it a try. From the minute you walk in you are greeted with professionals that will listen to every single detail you are describing “hurts, bothers, etc” and they will lay out the plan on getting you back to tip top shape. Me personally “cupping” was the suggested path to take followed by therapy which consists of specific stretches etc that target the specific locations of discomfort. Throughout the time that you attend these sessions, the therapists here will eventually feel like family and the bond you will form is incredible. If you are someone like I was that was procrastinating or second guessing going for physical therapy at Empowerment Physical Therapy because of fear due to “cupping” or whatever it may be, just go for it and you will be so happy you finally did and wish you did it sooner. I highly recommend Empowerment Physical Therapy.

The staff is extremely respectful and knowledgeable. They responded right away to our initial phone call and were able to get her started very quickly. Positive experience: I injured my back about 2 yrs ago. It felt like a rusty hinge which made it painful to bend over. This obviously impacted my ability to enjoy playing golf. I started my PT with my therapist in September and my back has gradually gotten looser with the stretching exercises I learned from my therapist and am able to keep it loose by doing these stretches daily. Fantastic experience: I suffered with pain in my neck and lower back as a result of a car accident and have had Physical Therapy at three different offices in as many years with very little relief. I was about to give up on PT when I heard about Empowerment. The atmosphere in the office is relaxing and friendly. The doctors are patient and explain the procedures that are being used, pointing out what you can expect to feel and the results to follow. After a few visits I noticed a difference in my range of motion. Fantastic experience: I have an upcoming hip replacement surgery scheduled and came to Empowerment Physical Therapy to do some pre surgery muscle strengthening. Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with arthritis in my neck. My doctor suggested I go to a physical therapist. I asked a friend if she could recommend a facility. Fortunately she told me about Empowerment.Before I went to the facility the therapist called me and wanted to know about me & my situation. I found him to be caring, kind & knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: In January 2024 I began PT at Empowerment PT in Yonkers,NY to get relief from arthritic pain in my knee. The pain I had has greatly diminished and I feel that surgery is definitely not a consideration. In addition to treating my knee,any other arthritic pains in other parts of my body were addressed and treated as well The Empowerment practice has a very positive and friendly vibe which puts me at ease and makes me feel that my healing is of the utmost importance. Fantastic experience: I suffered an injury to my IT band in May of ‘23 after over doing it on my peloton. I waited several months before I went to have it checked out by my doctor. I was advised to get physical therapy and I chose Empowerment Physical Therapy. I was impressed by the thorough assessment of my injury by Dr. Lin. He was extremely knowledgeable and he laid out a treatment plan to get me on the road to recovery. Due to my delay in getting diagnosed and treated, it will take a few weeks to get me back to normal but the encouragement and support I receive (and the camaraderie with other patients) helps me stay focused and committed to getting back to normal. Fantastic experience: I started my recover journey back in November of 2019 after sustaining a shoulder injury which later over time affected my back. I went to three different physical therapy places and left all three times without feeling 100 until I stumbled upon empowerment physical therapy. With the help of doctor Lin i finally reached my recover goal and feel as good as I did before the injury occurred. The greatest thing about this place is how easy it is to work with doctor Lin and the fact that he listens and adjusts the physical therapy to work with you. Side note. Fantastic experience: I sustained an injury at work that led to a pinched nerve in my upper back. I has been going to a physical therapist for a month and half and I felt no relief. Faith would have it that my therapist at the time had made a billing mistake which led to an interruption in my physical therapy. I went on goggle and looked for a new therapist. This is when I found Empowerment physical therapy. They returned my call immediately. I have been receiving treatment now for about a month and half and I have felt a lot better. I have had cupping treatments and I believe that’s what has been helping along with the physical therapist approach which is let’s treat the base of the problem. Physical therapy has definitely helped with my pinched nerve. I love their office and the vibe of the office as well their communication as I mentioned earlier is great and they definitely listen. If you have pain I would suggest you try Empowerment Physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I had been dealing with sciatica and lower back pain, needing pills to sleep or to get my day started. Dr Lin helped me immensely! I trusted him and his methods and my back is thankful. He introduced me to cupping which I love and still go back for occasional sessioms as a tune up, so to speak. Dr. Lin was patient and thoughtful in his assessment of my dad and explained his plan to both of us thoroughly. My dad went to Dr. Lin over the course of several weeks of therapy and grew stronger and more agile going from ambulating with a cane to being completely independent. Positive experience: I am a new patient to Empowerment Physical Therapy. In saying that I feel comfortable with the place, and it's environment. Dr. Lin seems knowledgable in his field, warm, and friendly. Fantastic experience: It will be a year in July when I was injured. I was kayaking on the mighty Hudson. The wind was blowing double digits and we were battling the current and rising tide. We were tossed around and needed to get ashore. We had to paddle deeper and more frequently. I felt something give and tremendous pain ensued. I kayaked the whole season with relentless pain. Different remedies were tried. Nothing worked. My roommate worked with someone who received PT at Empowerment Physical Therapy. They said it wasn't the typical setting in PT. Fantastic experience: I had chronic shoulder pain for almost two years from an old cheer injury, I have been going to empowerment physical therapy for the last 2 months. The pain in my shoulders have gone down significantly. I would recommend empowerment for any of your physical therapy needs. It has helped me tremendously. Fantastic experience: A friend recommended that I try Physical Therapy for my chronic and worsening lower back pain/sciatica, that had previously only been helped by a chiropractor in NYC. I’ve been going to Empowerment PT now, once or twice a week, for about 7 weeks, 2 of which I wasn’t able to go. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that my back pain has gradually subsided and does seem to improve with each visit. Fantastic experience: I was a Social Worker for 36 years, and while I loved the job , the long hours of sitting and using a computer caused me to have neck pain since 2020. I went to several physical therApists in the past two years with mixed results and eventually decided to try my own home treatment. Unfortunately, that did not work either and I found myself unable to sleep more then two hours a night due to debilitating neck pain . I would ice my neck, take hot showers at 2 a .m. I have now been seeing Dr. Lin for over one month and the results are amazing Dr. Lin works with you directly, and supervises the treatment . He uses techniques that I have never seen before , and while my neck is not perfect , I feel like I am finally on the right track . Fantastic experience: About a month ago, I was badly in need of a PT. Through Google search I found Empowering Physical Therapy right in my neighborhood. I injured my groin at work; and I was scheduled to run the Philadelphia marathon. I thought about pulling out! My very first appointment; I discussed the injury in detail to Dr. Lin. He told me point blank that I will be ready come race day. He developed a combination of exercise, foam rolling and use a state of the art muscle Stimulator machine on the injured area for about 9 sessions. Fantastic experience: Before I started my sessions, I did not have restful nights. I would be awakened with pain on my left arm and shoulder. After a couple weeks with Dr. Lin, I am now sleeping well, the movement of my arm has dramatically improved, and the pain is almost gone. Dr. Lin is amazing. I am only on my second week of physical therapy but I was quickly amazed by how much better I feel with each session. Fantastic experience: I suffered a spinal injury because of a side airbag deployment in January of this year, and was recommended to Dr Lin‘s practice by my neurologist treating my nerve damage. First off, let’s just begin by saying this is not your “standard physical therapy” practice. Dr Lin has an amazing balance of traditional physical therapy with a light blend of his “eastern philosophy” techniques and styles. Having a background in anatomy and physiology, Dr Lin knew I wasn’t looking to lay on the table and be massaged. He found the right balance of “teaching me how to fish” and recommending some amazing equipment to help me recover. The entire office becomes less like a “business environment” and more like a “bunch of friends” as your sessions continue. With an extremely relaxed atmosphere and amazingly professional staff from the minute you walk in, I cannot write enough nor give an adequate amount of stars to this practice.

This is real hands on P/T with a focus on healing and restoring strength and balance. I knew I was in the right place when I got a follow up phone call after my first session to see how I was feeling and asking if I had any questions. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Lin at Empowerment Physical Therapy for your physical therapy needs. My daughter suffered a knee injury. Prior to attending Empowerment Physical Therapy my daughter was visiting another physical therapy center. The former therapy center gave my daughter "cookie cutter" excercises with no attention to what she needed as an individual. The excercises they gave my daughter at the former therapy center rushed her through a series of excercises which ultimately made her knee worse. This set her recovery back by several weeks. Under the advice of the Orthopedic Sport Therapy Physician we had to find a replacement, fast! Upon my research for a new center, I chanced upon Empowerment Physical Therapy and Dr. Lin. Thank goodness I did! Dr. Lin is wonderful! He takes his time and really listens to my daughter. His in depth questions allowed him to create a therapy plan which is specific to her individual needs and it has made a huge difference in her recovery. Dr. Lin is passionate about his craft and it shows. He always reaches out to follow up and his staff and office are equally wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Trying to lift my 65lb boxer into the car, I tore my bicep and have a SLAP tear. I never had a physical injury and relied on google reviews to help me choose a physical therapist. I decided to give Empowerment PT and Dr. Lin a try. I can honestly say Dr. Lin was patient with me, challenged me with different work outs and if things didn’t feel like they were making a difference in progress he challenged me with something else. Dr. Lin is more than just a therapist; he takes interest in your personal well being as well. When I fell ill with Covid, he followed up with me and when I regained some strength, he gave me tips on what I can do at home to keep working on my injuries. I strongly recommend Empowerment PT and Dr. Lin. If you want quality therapy and to be treated with compassion this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Lin for physical therapy. In early August, I developed a severe aching pain in my hip, likely from overuse, as I am an avid runner. I was completely distraught that I couldn’t run my typical 5-6 mile route without sharp pain in my hip 10 minutes in. I began working with Dr. Lin when I could no longer run through the hip pain. From the first session, Dr. Lin was able to diagnose the issue and explained the recovery process, putting my mind at ease. I worked with Dr. Lin once a week for about 3 months. Dr Lin helped me understand how building core and glute strength could help put less strain on my hips. Our sessions combined techniques for loosening up tight muscles as well as strength training and stretches. I am so relieved to have found Dr. Lin at Empowerment Physical Therapy. Today I’m able to enjoy the beautiful fall running weather with no pain on the trails. Dr Lin is the best! Trust the process.

Fantastic experience: My Mother-in-law constantly have neck and shoulder pain when it's humid outside, and/or about to rain. Due to the pandemic, we are unable and afraid to go to any on-site PT. I recommended her over to Dr. Lin from Empowerment Physical Therapy to have a virtual consultation to see if Dr. Lin have advice on what's wrong and advice on how to make it feel better. Dr. Lin was very kind and patience explaining to her, asking her questions on how long it's been, when does it pain her, and how did she normally take care of it. After consulting, he recommended that she can buy Cuppings, and ask a family member to learn to use it and can manage her pain. Explain to her the steps of cuppings, and make sure she does not overdo it. We just got our cuppings, and start using it. She is happy that Dr. Lin was able to provide advice to help her reduce her pain, and confirm why it was so painful. My husband and I also go to Dr. Lin whenever we have pain in our body that we're not sure what to do with it. We appreciate and accept Dr. Lin's advice. Like previously, my husband's leg was tense and in pain, reached out to Dr. Lin virtually, he instructed him on where to massage, what he needs to do, what he should not do, and within a few days of doing what was advice, he was not complaining about the tense/pain anymore. When he first massage the area, he even said "that feels good, it is that area, it's already helping". I sit on the computer all day, every day, and have some neck/shoulder pain as well, I also reached out to Dr. Lin, he advice me to make sure my laptop/computer screen is eye-level, constantly get off my seat, and provided me with some simple exercise and movements to help me make my neck/shoulder feel better. He also recommended me a message item from Amazon, and I've been using it since. Our family really recommend Empowerment Physical Therapy. They are honest, experienced, and professional. It's definitely a go-to. Whenever someone tells me they have pain or needed a PT recommendation, Empowerment PT is a place I always recommend, and would reached out to Dr. Lin, and he would always welcome them and reached out to work with them.

Fantastic experience: The experience at this establishment has been more than phenomenal. I am a caregiver who have been taking my patient here for sonetime now and have seen so much more improvement in her overall mobility. On a personal note, I have also had the pleasure of doing what is called a cupping massage for back pain and have noticed improvement already with just one visit. Fantastic experience: In the year 2003 I had a brain tumor that had left me paralyzed on the left side. I went through multiple physical therapists and never have I felt as good leaving an appointment than I have with Shi Feng Li. Even in times of this COVID pandemic having our sessions online are quick, easy, and effective.

Fantastic experience: I recommend Shi Feng because he is an amazing physical therapist well worth the time and money. For context, I threw out my lower back on April 25th, in the middle of returning a tennis serve. Spasms hit my lower back as I finished my return shot causing me to lose my ability to do anything normal (e.g. walk, stand, sit, get up on my own, put on my socks). I was in desperate need to be normal again. I found Shi Feng and he really came to my rescue Sunday, April 28th. On Sunday, April 28th, I was able to get up from dining room chairs but could not get up from my couch. I could walk extremely slowly but with a limp. Any quick movements caused spasms and all of the activities listed above caused some sort of pain. When Shi Feng visited, he was very patient. He asked about any historical conditions, asked about my day to day activities, and took the time to really learn about me and my body condition. Shi Feng seems to have a combination of eastern and western techniques to help relieve muscle pain. He provided a cupping experience on my back, which relieved any pain and strain for at least 2 hours so that he could show me the physical therapy exercises I could do to strengthen my core. Shi Feng also used a myofascial tool to feel out the pain points that needed work and provided exercises that targeted the stressed areas. Shi Feng explained the causes of lower back pain and provided me with a track to get back to normal state. Shi Feng is very knowledgeable. I find that when the job is done, most people go away until called again for another session. To my pleasant surprise, Shi Feng is the exact opposite. He looked for ways to get free equipment that can further assist me in my recovery. Shi Feng followed up on my progress and kept me accountable for the exercises I promised I’d do. All of this came with no extra charge. This shows that he simply cares about the people he works with and is very into his career. Today is May 28, a little over a month after my incident, and I’ve regained most of my mobility. I once again feel normal and can play some recreational tennis. I really thank Shi Feng for all of his assistance throughout the month. It was a unique experience and I don’t think I’d be where I am today without his help.

Fantastic experience: I started PT with the facilities main PT who a was a very nice man- BUT THEN my work schedule changed and so did my Luck ! ! ! The PT with the most accommodating service hours was Shi Feng Lin- Well let me tell you- this was a blessing….. besides his amazing personality, Shi Feng has a vast array of overall medical knowledge and he provides a Sharing of the same- He is a true Hands On patient educator. As a Nurse, I appreciate another professional who excels in their field. The only relief I get from several spinal / neck injuries is after leaving a treatment with Shi. I actually just had the cupping technique done last night. I never knew this even existed. Shi Feng’s level of knowledge in medicine and overall wellness certainly transcends his chronicle years. I recommend him above any PT I have ever met, and as a nurse with over 10 yrs of elder care- I have met quite a few PTs.
