Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! They have literally every product under the sun in here. They carry a few of my favorites that are hard to find where I come from, so it was a great place to stock up. Also, as a fragrance lover, their selection of fragrances is top tier, and the lady was so willing to let me sample and test stuff out. I actually found a bottle of one of my favorites Guerlain fragrances here that I thought was discontinued for a great price! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area!

Negative experience: I never thought I would write a one star review for my non big box neighborhood pharmacy. I had prescriptions sent in on a Thursday morning. Cheap generic medications that I have previously gotten through non insurance for less than 5 dollars each. Not only did I pay literally 10 times the amount, but I had to physically go to the store three times over 2 days and missed a dose of medication because they were unable to fill it. I’m so so sad to report this, but I will never get medications filled there again. Now I’m 110 dollars in the hole for something that should have been 15 total. And they do not accept goodrx. I was so shocked I started crying at the register.

Positive experience: Cute small store with some basics and a good selection of products you’d otherwise only be able to find online.

Fantastic experience: went thr on the 30th dec morn and was helped by a wonderful staff (didnt manage to catch her name) but she was friendly and knowledgeable in perfumes, and let me try out many different ones based on my preferences :) thanks for your assistance it was greatly appreciated! also greatly enjoyed the vast selection of niche perfumes in the store

Fantastic experience: Ok I was told gatekeeping was out, so here I am to tell you that *this* is the place you should be going for your skincare in NYC. They have all the stuff you would travel to France for (and other places in the world), but here! Right at your fingertips. Pro tip: Follow them on Instagram for product features and the latest updates.

Negative experience: To anyone who has the same experience as I did below, you can report them for professional misconduct based off abandoning or neglecting a patient in need of immediate care. Complaints must be submitted in writing to the New York State Office of Professional Discipline (OPD). I will be talking to our local council member too. I am utterly disgusted by the appalling conduct exhibited by all the staff including the pharmacist at New London Pharmacy today. The complete lack of humanity and disregard for basic decency demonstrated during my interaction with them is absolutely reprehensible. Upon calling at 7pm to request urgent medication for an 80-year-old client, who has faithfully relied on New London Pharmacy for an astounding 51 years, the response I received was nothing short of horrifying. Despite explaining the dire emergency and the immediate need for the medication, I was callously informed that the delivery driver had already left for the day. In a desperate plea, I asked if they could wait a mere 5 minutes for us to arrive, emphasizing the critical nature of the situation and the client's inability to sleep without the medication. Shockingly, their response was that they could not wait as they had to attend church. The sheer audacity of prioritizing personal plans over the urgent medical needs of an elderly individual is beyond comprehension, I think any God would have wanted them to choose kindness. In a last-ditch effort to ensure the client's well-being, I suggested that perhaps the manager or another staff member could make the brief 3-minute and 24-second walk to deliver the medication, as a neighbor was readily available to receive it. After much reluctance, they begrudgingly agreed and abruptly hung up before I could provide the necessary apartment number. To my horror, the medication was never delivered, and it is abundantly clear that I have been blatantly lied to. The consequences of their despicable actions are dire – the client will suffer tonight and endure sleepless anguish, as well as debilitating side effects tomorrow, all due to the heartless negligence of New London Pharmacy. Their behavior is nothing short of monstrous, and I refuse to continue supporting an establishment that values profit over basic human decency. We will be swiftly transferring our patronage to a pharmacy that respects and prioritizes the well-being of its clients. Shame on New London Pharmacy for their abhorrent actions. Did I mention she’s been giving them countless thousands of dollars for 51 YEARS? Loyalty means nothing to these people. Notably, they also lied and said they were open the following day at 10am, I was there, they were closed. Coordinating with the hospital as a result. Update: when we finally got the medication they had messed it up and not included the right prescriptions and had to go get it for a second time. Dangerous behavior. AVOID. THE REPLY BY OWNER IS NOT TRUTHFUL. They did not deliver it at all, because they hung up on me before they could get the apartment number. I confirmed this today. They seem to lie compulsively. Weird energy.

Fantastic experience: Add in ~ 11/2023 New London Pharmacy provides excellent service. I am out of town, as I write this review; as such, I asked them to overnight my medications to me, which they did, without hesitation and did so with ease. I spoke with Carmen over the phone who took the shipping information and promptly shipped my medicine. I confidently knew that I could rely on them to handle my request. Everyone at New London Pharmacy understands the importance of providing excellent care for all of their customers. Their level of care provides so much value to the overall experience. Negative experience: Not sure what the recent situation is; but this pharmacy’s attitude has completely changed recently. The pharmacist was rude & unhelpful when I was simply trying to ask questions, I had to google answers myself & then was accused of being defensive, when simply advocating for myself to get the answers that I found easily on Google but didn’t get from a licensed pharmacist. Will not be returning, which is a shame; this used to be a great location for friendly pharmacist advice. See others have posted similar reviews of late; hope it improves.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing little gem to find! Consultant was absolutely fabulous - knowledge of ALL the products were amazing, genuine advice provided. I bought not just one,but two creams and two perfumes. The consultant working today at 5 pm is a true credit to the business! I didn't catch his name,but he is worth his weight in gold, honestly:) So helpful, has a sense of humour, professional and super polite.

Fantastic experience: The people here are the best. I felt I had left NYC, they were so nice and caring, and went above and beyond to help. There’s no reason to go anywhere else. Even sharing their personal Swiss chocolate stash from behind the counter ❤️

Negative experience: They are terrible. If they are overwhelmed from the overflow due to closed pharmacies local, then don't take on new clients. I was charged almost $100 for zolpidem. They have always charged me half on my insurance and half cash/credit. They basically called me a liar. As you can see below, I'm not the only person They did this too. They are rude and always unprofessional. The woman owner is vile and ungrateful and curses at any costumer. They disagree with everyone and are horrendous minus the cashier lady upfront. In the winter they blast heat and noone can stand their. In the summer low air-conditioning. They are penny pinchers and everyone local knows this. People are always complaining in store because they never have meds on time. Rarely have anything in stock. The real issue is their lack of respect for aging customers and the vile workers amd owners in the pharmacy. Read the comments below where the owner calls and harrasses a customer. Don't spend money there. They are thrives. Walk to all cvs in both directions and pay $35 to $45 tops. They stole my hard earned money in this recession. My family and all my neighbors moved their scripts to Cvs now. SHAME ON YOU!

Fantastic experience: At a time when pharmacy services nationwide have become almost completely corporatized, New London Pharmacy has forgone this trend and remained a bastion of independence in a city dominated by the one-size-fits-all business model. Catering to a large neighborhood population of elderly residents among its patrons, NLP was/is a refuge for, among others, local seniors who require much individual, personal advice and assistance in procuring their medications and over-the-counter products, in addition to receiving inoculations and vaccinations from the highly-trained staff. My disabled partner and I have used New London Pharmacy exclusively for the last 12 years for our medication needs as well as our personal care products (even some home care products), of which they have a large and varied inventory. We know the family owners and the entire staff, and are grateful that we are so well looked after whenever a demanding situation arises. Thank you to everyone at New London Pharmacy for your generosity and kindnesses throughout the years!

Negative experience: I've been going to New London for over a decade. Our family was happy to patronize a local business, even though many of their items are priced higher than chain pharmacies. But recently we had an issue with the price of a prescription and were met with resistance when we indicated it was incorrect. Fortunately, there was a friendly male pharmacist who recognized the issue and called our insurance to resolve it. A few days later, we needed to replace a couple of pills and called the pharmacy to inquire about how to do so and the woman to whom I spoke was condescending and told me to call the doctor, which I did. The emergency room doctor was happy to call in an additional prescription but when I went to pick it up, there was the same price discrepancy we'd experienced previously. When I asked about it, I was addressed adversarially and told that they couldn't do anything about it. When I mentioned that the previous pharmacist was able to resolve it, I was told that they did it as a courtesy. After my wife posted a review on Yelp, the manager began leaving her voicemails. The situation got more intense when our daughter's rheumatologist sent her prescription to them and they agreed to deliver. The delivery was not made two days in a row. No one called to tell us it would not be made. When speaking to the manager, I was told that my wife's Yelp review was a lie. Then when I went to pick up our daughter's meds, the manager had put it aside and asked me to come into a private booth to ring me up. The copay was $0. The register was not used, but the manager simply wanted privacy to chastise me and tell me they had given me the previous prescription for free. Our insurance had actually paid for the previous medication and the pharmacist waived the $1 copay. She could have found all of this out if she had asked me what happened. Instead, she told us we were lying. I'm not sure what her end game goal was, but this review and our business going elsewhere is the result. We were loyal customers for over a decade. I guess she won.

Negative experience: Uncommunicative pharmacy staff. After many years a customer, they have problems refilling my prescriptions and give no clear reason. Pharmacist on duty Friday 1/20/23 was rude and crude. I used to recommend this place to others, but now I recommend not patronizing this shady business.

Fantastic experience: This pharmacy has cats that are the absolute stress reliever! But, besides the cats, I love that New London has very approachable staff. They will answer your questions carefully and in detail. I get both my over-the-counter and prescription medicines here, so I know how knowledgeable they are, too. I feel relieved that I live close to this pharmacy because they are always happy to help.

Negative experience: I used to love this pharmacy, they had my back for many years. The past 6 months have been an absolutely nightmare where every single month they let me run out of my life saving medication before they let me know they can’t fulfill the order. Every month i have been left SCRAMBLING to fulfill my order elsewhere. If you take life saving meds look elsewhere, they are incapable of doing their job.

Fantastic experience: My pharmacy since I moved into the hood in 1997. Nice people. If they don't have it in stock, they get it the next day. I have never wanted to switch to one of the big chains.

Negative experience: I used to love this Pharmacy. and I'm a loyal customer for more than 6 years for my medication, now I'm changing my Pharmacy because of lots of issues I'm dealing for the past months when it comes to refilling my meds.

Fantastic experience: The staff at New London are fantastic. A true family environment and they really strive to do whatever they can to help their customers. While I was waiting for my vaccine, another customer was telling me she and many others have been going there since the 1970s and the staff remain the same! Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank New London Pharmacy for going above and beyond with my compounded prescription. This pharmacy was recommended by my GI specialist and is stocked with many unique goods (i.e.: Shu Uemura shampoos, specialty soaps etc) reminiscent of European pharmacies. Mostly, I want to send my special thanks to Roger - who was so diligent and kind. He helped me out greatly by ensuring that I got the medicine I needed. Thank you, Roger. I’ve never seen a more caring pharmacy staff that actually works with their the customers. They are so knowledgeable about what they do and will ensure you are well taken care of. By far the best pharmacy in the city.

Fantastic experience: One of the only “Mom & Pop” stores that remain in Chelsea, no doubt because of its exemplary staff, and particularly the pharmacy department. Courteous, knowledgeable and efficient are just a few adjectives to characterize the gracious employees working at New London. I transferred all of my prescriptions from CVS to New London several years ago. That was the best decision I have made. Many, many more decades of success, New London!

Downstairs one of your friendly cells people is Alex I find him to be very helpful very kind and all around a great person. Positive experience: 귀여운 고양이 두 마리가 반겨줌. 한국에서도 흔히 보이는 유럽 드럭스토어 화장품들이 많이 있음. 미국은 유로화 환율이 한국보다 좋지않아 물건들이 한국보다 조금씩 비쌈. 손님으론 흔치않은 동양애가 들어와서 한참을 구경해선지 CCTV로 날 돌려보는 모습 딱 걸림. 기분 상함.
