Fantastic experience: Working with Rachel has been a game changer for my daughter. As a dancer who has always been small, she has come under scrutiny by people who make the assumptions people make, which causes a whole other set of challenges. We came to Rachel seeking a clear and professional voice. We hoped for guidance that would include both structure and flexibility, while helping our daughter to remain focused on her health, well-being, and aspirations. To say that Rachel has achieved this would be an understatement. Rachel has re-opened the door to agency and has put my daughter back in the driver's seat where she is now better able to filter the external noise. We see her confidently thinking in terms of fuel and noticing how her body (and training) responds to different approaches. Our only regret is that we didn't seek Rachel's guidance sooner.

Fantastic experience: Rachel has helped me completely reshape my view of myself, my relationship with food, and how it affects my dancing. I was able to actually enjoy Thanksgiving dinner tonight guilt free which I haven’t done since I was little. I have learned that fueling myself is essential and that may look different than what others say. If you are questioning if you need to work with a registered dietitian I completely recommend Rachel!

Fantastic experience: I honestly loved every part of the Healthy Dancer Summer Intensive. I loved that there was the option to go at our own pace and not worry about classes at certain times, making it very useful during summer intensive season. I loved that there was printable worksheets that I could work on throughout the weeks. The topics covered in the intensive were very important things to be talked about and I found it very helpful. As a dancer who was recovering from an injury this summer, this intensive was the best thing I could have done. Thank you Rachel and everyone who helped put this together, it was absolutely amazing.

Fantastic experience: What seems to me to mark Rachel out is a rare combination of skills – yes, she comes across immediately as a trained, knowledgeable nutritionist who can give sound advice on a dancer’s nutritional needs and patterns. But, much more unusually, her own background and experience as a dancer give her a depth of insight and a sensitivity that make her advice and effectiveness so rare. She soon dispels the fear that we will have to surrender control over what we eat to the nutritionist. Instead, she shows how our aims of dancing and performing better can – and should – go hand-in-hand with feeling better and living more healthily. Her advice is completely practical and effective – she makes things seem logical and straightforward that are revelatory, life-changing and (perhaps for many of us) highly emotional. She understands both how and what it means when our lifelong attitudes to our food feel threatened – and how to make the process seem so gentle and easy. She knows that what is key is the way we think about food – our firm but often misguided beliefs about what we need to eat to dance well – and, most of all, she celebrates and uses our incredible motivation, self-discipline and commitment to dance. Fantastic experience: Can not recommend enough. Diet and elite training go hand in hand and there is still so much misconception about 'what you should be eating' Adding guilt and stress to eating habits and unhealthy relationships with food. To the Pointe Nutrition helps not only with the practical tips and food inspiration but equally as important stigma we create ourselves (or from external pressures) associated with food. I wish I had this support to each and learn from as a child and young adults.

Fantastic experience: Rachel’s workshop was both enlightening and empowering. As a former professional dancer turned educator who continually works to deconstruct my own dance “baggage” regarding my physical image and nutritional habits, I walked away with a better understanding of how to help my students be the healthiest dancers they can be. While Rachel didn’t sugar coat the real issues and dangers that can come from not fueling our bodies correctly, her open, kind, and encouraging spirit allowed for a feeling of safety. I want my twelve year old daughter to have a healthy relationship with food, and understand that her body needs to be fueled for those long hours of practice. Rachel is understanding, smart and passionate about what she does. She has taught me about different snacks and meals that will keep my daughter energized, and satisfied. I am a very busy Mom, and with Rachel’s tips, I have quick and easy snacks for my young dancer, prepped for the week. The world of dance is so lucky to have Rachel.

Fantastic experience: It was such a wonderful experience! We got to learn what truly makes up a healthy dancer. We had nutrition sessions as well as masterclasses in mental health, conditioning, injury prevention, etc. and ballet classes as well! Fantastic experience: I had the joy of meeting Rachel at a Dance conference in New York City recently. Her talk was incredibly informative and she took a lot of care in answering all of our questions. Nutrition, Health and Body Image tend to be sensitive topics among dancers but Rachel gave us all the tools we need to make sure our dancers are healthy, happy and ready for class. Fantastic experience: We recently worked with Rachel to plan the lunch menu and meals for our 2023 Adult Ballet Retreat attendees, and were so pleased with the way everything turned out! We had an extensive list of allergies and dietary restrictions to accommodate, and Rachel worked masterfully with our catering team to create delicious meals that gave everyone enough to eat, and would fuel our attendees for the remainder of their dancing each day. It was such a relief for us to have that work taken off of our plate (pun intended!) and in the hands of someone who knows, from extensive experience, what dancers need. Rachel also gave a seminar for each week of our Retreat on general nutrition for dancers, which was very well received by our attendees. Lots of notes were taken each week! I can't recommend working with Rachel enough, she is absolutely wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Rachel designed the menu for meals during a week long ballet intensive I attended. Each day offered a variety of healthy and surprisingly delicious options. Fantastic experience: I’m a soon to be collegiate dancer, but dance intensely at a studio during high school. I am still struggling with disordered eating, but you have helped so much! I used to only eat one big meal a day (like takeout, dinner, etc). And then snack for the other two meals. If I ever ate more than that I felt like I had to dance/workout for 2+ hours. Now, I’m eating two full meals a day and not feeling shamed of it! There are days where I struggle but I’ve changed my mindset thanks to your program! It’s now “My body needs this to keep going and make me a better dancer” rather than “eating this will make me fat and lose all the progress I’ve made”. I’m striving for that 3 full meals but I’m really happy with how far I’ve gotten. Thank you for this account/program, it has helped me and I know a lot of other dancers!

Fantastic experience: I’ve learned so much from Rachel and not just about nutrition and what foods are most beneficial for energy (for dance class, workout etc) and recovery. With her wealth of knowledge, resourceful tips and outstanding advice I have finally attained food freedom. I’ve been a yo yo dieter and suffered from disordered eating since I was in elementary school. My weight went up and down like waves in the ocean. I starved and I binged. I felt in control and out of control. I felt imprisoned and was a slave to diet culture. Now—finally I am free thanks to Rachel! I no longer place a moral value on food and I don’t suffer from horrible cravings anymore (that used to result in binge eating). I am finally at peace with food and my body. No more disordered eating. No more starving and over eating. For the first time in -ever- I can actually have comfort food in my place without them singing a siren song to me from the kitchen to come and eat them lol. And my body is where it should be naturally and -ironically- what I sought so hard for with excessive dieting. All those years of misery from restrictive eating have proven to be a waste and I wish I had met Rachel 2 decades ago. Now—I’m finally happy! Thank you Rachel!

Fantastic experience: Working with Rachel has increasingly changed the way I use food in my life to support my dancing and body. Not only has she helped me to navigate my personal health needs, she has also guided me in changing the way I approach fueling myself. In implementing what we have worked on, I am noticing a huge difference in my strength and endurance as a professional dancer. I am able to sustain my demanding schedule, get a full night's rest, and also let go of overwhelming patterns of fear and guilt surrounding food. I feel more confident in knowing that I have the tools I need help me optimize my performance and well-being. This is all thanks to Rachel! Recently, I have made significant progress in how I approach body image and food. In the past I would often spiral into very negative and unhealthy habits in regards to controlling what I ate. But I have been able to recognize that fueling my body is essential because what matters on stage is my dancing, not what I look like. If I don’t have strength or energy to make it through a show then what do I have? It wouldn’t matter what I look like if I can’t even dance! So instead I choose to adequately nourish and fuel my body and therefore I can show up and give the audience my fullest and purest energy. This has been a great accomplishment for me. Thanks again Rachel for everything you do! I'm looking forward my continued progress on this journey!

Fantastic experience: I have been dancing all of my life, and I had never noticed how damaged my relationship with food was until I stumbled across Rachel's Instagram page. I have never struggled with a clinically diagnosable eating disorder, so I assumed that I was alright. Never did I know how twisted and complicated food was to me until Rachel pointed it out. When I enrolled in her Healthy Dancer Elite Program, I was finally able to identify and break some of the harsh rules I had set for myself. Giving me a comprehensive care plan, Rachel helped me slowly heal my disordered eating. Her program left me much more knowledgeable and capable of making conscious decisions to nourish my body and help me be the best dancer I can be. I am so grateful for her expertise!

Fantastic experience: I completed the Healthy Dancer Summer Intensive with Rachel and she is such an incredible resource for all dancers! Rachel did an amazing job providing super detailed workbooks, informative nutrition sessions, and an incredible lineup of dance-related workshops and masterclasses! I was seriously blown away with how much content was packed into the summer intensive and the best part is the flexibility of doing it all virtually! I came away feeling more confident in my abilities to properly fuel my body for dance classes (and life in general!)

Fantastic experience: Choosing to do the Healthy Dancer Summer Intensive is one of the best decisions I've made. It was a leap of faith, after being stuck so long in "fake recovery" from my ED i knew that going into post secondary Ballet education i needed to get a handle on my physical and mental health and Rachel has given me so many resources and exercises to use along this journey. It has helped me tremendously so far, and I feel so empowered to keep doing the work. The masterclasses included in the intensive were also fantastic, learning about conditioning, injuries, auditions etc from professionals in each given topic was so valuable and I'm so grateful for that experience all compiled into an amazing 6 weeks. Thank you Rachel!
