Fantastic experience: I have been receiving functional medicine help and support from Dr. Scott for gut related sensitivity issues for about a month and a half. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Dr. Scott and his practice. I was battling what multiple, allergist, dermetologists and gastrointestinal Dr's called Chronic Urticaria with Angeodema for over a year. I was put on multiple RX's and allergy injections after visiting the ER on numerous occasions. I was waking up covered from head to toe in massive body hives, facial swelling. I knew something was not right. I decided to find another way and found Dr. Scott online. After a consultation and multiple tests we discovered that I had a gluten allergy, and other food sensitivitities, which I've never had before and my allergists never uncovered, after testing. Dr. Scott put me on dietary restrictions, my bloating, body inflammation and hives went away in a matter of weeks. I'm following my food protocol and supplement regime and finally can function without fear of waking up needing to visit the ER and constant breakouts. Food is, from what I've gathered in my own research to be the first places to start in fixing your health problems. I'd highly recommend if you or family have issues your current Dr's can't figure out, or you just want to find out why you may not feel your best, you give Dr. Scott the opportunity to see if he can help.

Negative experience: I spent over $4,000 and not only did he not help me, I am worse off now than I was before he started treating me.

I had some discomfort in my knees when I went to my appointment yesterday because I somehow managed to twist both of them last week. Negative experience: Waste of time and waste of money, go elsewhere for minor back pain or etc....Plus it's much cheaper than going here with no results, I didn't even feel welcomed or felt like he cared....Dr. Scott had the nerve to try to get me to enroll in a 3 month plan for $1200, and no info to help with pain before another visit, I had to ask all the questions, like meds , heat or ice pack etc to ease pain...I'm very disappointed for a minor back pain, $200 wasted for adjustments that he did since last week that didn't help at all , I found another place today that's much cheaper, my first visit today with them I felt welcomed and got a adjustment done correctly with them and immediately felt relief....Stay away from this place, plans should be for pple who got sever pain etc like from a car accident, arthritis and etc, I will not return and don't recommend this place I would give 0 stars if I could....I don't see why he have good reviews at all....

Negative experience: I've been hesitant to write a review for fear of an argument from Scott, the owner, who comments on all of the negative reviews. But unfortunately I see him around town, and every time I see him I am reminded of how much money I threw away using his practice and it still upsets me. I really wish I had known more about the process before I wrote a check to him and started his plan. Essentially, he brings in a group of people to a combined meeting where he does a hard sell on how he is going to improve many aspects of your life. The whole thing is very vague and seems too good to be true, but many of the people there are desperate to get some help. I was in a situation where I had moved recently and had to wait a long time to get into a PCP, and then get a referral to an Endo so I thought I would see if this would help. Some of the people in the meeting said that they were low income and would have a hard time affording the out of cost payments, but he continued to push the hard sell to do it. After I started the program, I learned what it really entailed. He did some labs and a food sensitivity test. He then recommended some basic over the counter vitamins and told me to do an elimination diet based on the results of the food sensitivity test. This was something I was already familiar with but could easily have done on my own! Everlywell and other companies offer food intolerance lab work.I went to many visits with him, followed all the instructions and saw no improvements over a few months of seeing him. Eventually I realized I had been scammed and I stopped going. I kick myself every time I think about how I gave me my money for some basic labs and an elimination diet! This is the kind of thing that I could easily have done on my own for very little money. Scott made it seem like he was able to RX real medications but that was not the case. I should have asked for a refund, but Scott is surprisingly intimidating so I did not. I am shocked by all his good reviews and I personally question them.

Negative experience: $5k for expensive labs and visits only to get a cookie cutter print out of a ridiculous diet plan from a supplement website. It was a all or nothing deal for the "doc". All visits were rushed and I was over talked Everytime. Stick to the cracking. It appears by reviews that this is really the only service that's legit.

Negative experience: The whole experience was disappointing! Initial free consultation for weight loss was vague. Dr. Scott recommended lab work which is warranted to discover the problem. Lab results was very helpful. I did research and managed to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks from the lab results without his help. Follow up consultation he suggests more lab work that cost $3400. He didn’t give no supplement advice, request a meal log or give any nutritional advice but wants me to cough up more money. He’s committed to making money instead of helping you. Nice guy but save your money and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Did not make a good first impression on me. Before booking for a free consultation using a contact form for thyroid, I had asked via email if they offered consultation to people living outside of the US. I was told that they do so via zoom. I went ahead and booked via the contact form. Someone from the office called and we had scheduled the appointment for the virtual meeting. An email was sent notifying me of the registered appointment where I was given a different time of the appointment (and my name was also misspelt) than what I had choosen via the phone call. A day later another email came asking me to confirm the appointment which had the correct time and so I confirmed. On the day of the appointment I waited and waited when it got closer to the time and saw no link came. I emailed the office after the time had passed and got a prompt response that I was placed down as a walk in patient and was told for me to call them to reschedule the next day. I found that was absolutely silly and inconsiderate considering the fault to begin with was theirs. That they should have called me back but I so wanted the help that I called back the next morning. I was put on hold for two minutes then the lady apologized for the mistake (and having me on hold) she was able to get me an appointment in an hour (due to a cancellation). Dr. Scott came on, I was excited to meet him but slowly felt it fading as I realized the conversation was very one sided which made me feel very uncomfortable. I explained my struggles and frustration of even the doctors here in my country being unable to help me. I was hoping he would have offered me some encouragement or some kind of empathy. More or less he said that getting supplements to me and the test kits would be an obstacle because of them being time sensitive. Although I understand that and he would prefer that I visit his clinic in person, seeing that I am already suffering such symptoms and told him that my doctors are waiting for me to get worse he offered no kind of advice how to keep myself going for the time being. I don't know what was the point of the people who answered me on the first email saying they offer consultation to people outside the US when it isn't something the Dr. has even done before. I felt like my time was absolutely wasted because I would not even bother had I known this before. Overall very disappointed by the experience maybe I was expecting too much.

Positive experience: Total health has been the only place where i am finally able to understand why i have GI issues. Dr. Scott is very knowledgeable and precise. His staff is wonderful. By following his plan i have also lost 16 lbs so far. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this office for a couple of months now and have never experienced a wait. I am seen at or before my appointment time with each visit. I feel like I’m listened to and I feel like my concerns are addressed.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to total health center for 10 plus years. They are always so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Scott has helped me with initial neck pain and introducing me to a plan that has given me amazing flexibility and additional strength without using meds. Most recently I twisted my “knee” and couldn’t walk on one leg. They saw me immediately and helped ease the pain, and it wasn’t my “knee” that’s just where the pain was coming from but it was my back. Great place!

Fantastic experience: I work in a warehouse lifting very heavy items daily. Between the concrete floor and heavy lifting, it has taking a toll on my body. I have had adjustments before but none that brought me to tears of joy. 1st adjustment and I got at least 25% more movement, I slept like a baby for the first time in 3 years. I danced around the warehouse the very next day. I can touch my toes and put my chin on my shoulder. I will be going back!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Scott is amazing. You do have to be consistent, but after going through an adjustment program with him, i have no more burning pain in my shoulder, and I'm not a pretzel in the morning. Once or twice a month for a tune up is all I need. He has also helped me cure a case of "drop foot". the front desk staff is great, and so is the masseuse if your therapy includes a massage.

Negative experience: I was looking up a PAD condition and up pops Dr Mark Scott. I was shocked. I went to a seminar and he had the answers it appeared. The charge was over $5,000 dollars and i was rushed in and out for all procedures with did nothing. i took the medications and saw toxins ingredients but i thought he is the doctor. He charged Medicare for 3 appts I didnt make. I called to get this money back plus the 100 dollars he promised since I charged this the first day. He talks big but when you are under his "care" its another story. Very bad experience for me. Be aware and really check this out. He films patients to advertise.

Fantastic experience: I've been using Dr. Scott for going on 2 years now and I never hesitate to pass on a referral to him. He's knowledgeable on many different topics and can be trusted for an honest opinion on most if not all health related topics. I had some neck/shoulder issues that had been a long-time irritant and had been worsening as the years passed, after a brief check and x-rays he targeted the problem and addressed it with very minor and non-invasive techniques. It was almost immediate relief (at this point just sitting the car to drive could be painful) and as the weeks past it progressively improved while we trained the muscles. If you are on the fence about chiropractic work like I was, start here. He will have your best interest in mind and can help in a variety of ways that are catered to your specific need.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for a number of years and do not see myself going anywhere else. Dr Scott listens to my needs and has tremendously helped my issues. Most importantly, I understand what’s going on with my body and that’s the first step.

Negative experience: Overrated

Fantastic experience: Dr. Scott has been treating me for approximately 9 months. Since my first visit, I have lost 40 lbs, my blood sugar has dropped 30 points, (89 last sample), triglycerides and cholesterol have dropped, dramatically, and A1C is now headed in the right direction. My personal dietary changes were minimal, and easy to modify and maintain. I feel great, and am very glad I went in this direction.

Fantastic experience: After two years of going to Dr. Mark Scott, I've now brought my two daughters and husband to receive his services. Everything I've said previously, still holds true! Marilyn and Chrissy are fantastic behind the counter always gathering my vitamin supplements whenever needed. Everyone deserves to have a healthier life and I'm fortunate to have visited Total Health Center before it was too late!!! There aren’t enough words for me to be able to describe how satisfied I am with my decision to seek functional health services from Dr. Mark A. Scott D.C. He truly is magical. I only wish I knew of his practice sooner so I could have avoided ending up in the ICU last July when I was experiencing unusual thumping in my neck/chest, nausea, heavy breathing, and a strange array of colors clouding my vision. I quickly learned that my heart was in A-FIB and it was due to a hyperactive thyroid condition that I was unaware I had. “Thyroid storm” is the medical term the ER used. When asking the ICU doctors what could have caused this to happen all of a sudden at the age of 37, I couldn’t get an answer. I was just told they needed to get my heart back into sinus rhythm and the why didn’t matter at this point. Luckily, I was released after a five day hospital stay. However, I still was not getting an answer as to why I experienced a truly scary medical crisis. One day, after firing three (3) endocrinologists my mom showed me an article for Dr. Scott and I will admit attending his free seminar was a game changer! I sat in the hour long presentation and felt like he was speaking only to me because all of the symptoms he mentioned, I had felt them all. Once he explained that functional medicine was focused on finding out the “why” he had me sold. Don’t get me wrong, I was still skeptical because I knew nothing about functional health and I was not positive if he would actually be someone that could help me. I was accepted into his program and I spent a pretty penny to obtain his services - but I would do it again and again because I’ve lost 30 pounds within 3 months, my stomach no longer aches or has a full bloating sensation, my migraines are nearly gone completely, my skin has cleared dramatically, my energy levels have begun to return to a desirable state, my thyroid numbers have stabilized, and I feel like I’m ten years younger. The fact Dr. Scott can turn the hands of time around, I stand-by what I originally said when describing him as MAGICAL! If I could give anyone advice regarding Dr. Scott, I would have to say to not be foolish and turn away his services because of the initial cost assessment. The rewards you’ll soon uncover will definitely be worth it!!! : ) <3

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mark Scott is an excellent Doctor. I went because I had lower back pain, pain in my elbow, and shoulder. I thought I'd never bowl or make it through the day as a pre-K teacher. He took x-rays and other tests to determine my exact care. He is very gentle and cured my back trouble. He did a nutritional work up on me. I found out that I had many food allergies that were causing my joint pain. Now that I know the foods to stay away from I no longer have joint pain. I feel so much better. Thank you Dr. Scott!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Scott for more than 5 years. After his close medical attention to my health issues, I have successfully transitioned to the "maintenance stage" of his total health program. Without any reservations, I credit Dr. Scott's health program for ending my dependency on fluid pills, antacids, alka-seltzer, constipation remedies and a myriad of other over- the- counter and prescription medicines ,too numerous to name. I was struggling with severe constipation, vitamin D,C, and K2 deprivation, consistent weight gain, ,lack of energy, water retention, crippling stomach pains and "leaky gut syndrome". I was able to reduce my weight by more than 60 pounds. I am still maintaining that lost. Negative experience: 1 star is being nice. The “exam” was so basic, not thorough, didn’t find the root cause of my pain. Took x-rays immediately, and didn’t provide any vest to protect my organs from radiation from using really old technology. The adjustment was so minor and didn’t help. And then tried charging me $116 for the new patient visit, meanwhile my co-pay to any chiropractor prior was $25, even as a new patient. Will never go back and recommend never getting service from this “doctor”

Fantastic experience: I have been treated for symptoms related to my back and hip. My prior therapist informed me that my hip is able to misalign. Since Chiropractors worked with such, decided to see one. My symptoms have been reduced to minimum. About a couple of weeks ago I had acute symptoms related to my shoulder and neck area. That has been reduced to being not noticeable at all and continually fading. Additionally, I am being reeducated has far as body mechanics. Secondly the staff is very cordial and efficient. Lastly, The doctor treats you like a guest even though he is a professional who there to move you from your current condition to wellness, and he is good at finishing your sentences when you cannot quite describe where you are..

Fantastic experience: Dr Scott is an awesome, compassionate, and knowledgeable physician. I walked in with extreme pain in my neck and arm due to a pinched nerve in my neck. I was literally hunched over even after seeing specialists and being on muscle relaxers and pain medicine. I was headed toward surgery. One minute after his chiropractor adjustments and I felt no pain and could walk straight! I was shocked that after several months of pain he easily resolved my issue. He is honest and the treatment plan he developed has allowed me to enjoy cooking and gardening again. I can finally sleep through the night. I highly recommend Dr. Scott. I was wary of chiropractors because of rumors and innuendos. I truly wish that I had seen him sooner.

Negative experience: Not for me and I must say that I am surprised by the positive reviews. I just didn't have the same experience. After paying over $4000 in December, imagine my surprise when I was asked for more money in May. My second lab results actually came back worse after following his program. The clinic has the feel of a "diet mill". But you are never weighed, vitals never taken, medications not prescribed nor adjusted. I found out (by pharmacist, not Dr. Scott) that my thyroid med was recalled. Now after being on effective medication and NOT following the program, I feel much better and am losing close to a pound a week. Unlike me, make sure to get a copy of the agreement for payment he has you sign. I feel ripped off.

Fantastic experience: Finally found true health care after searching many years. Dr.Scott (and entire staff) focus on the individual instead of doling out a one size fits all approach. Always available via email which is so reassuring. I felt soooooo much better after just a couple of weeks into treatment. Undoing years of damage is not overnight but Dr Scott's treatment protocol is so common sense and the goal of improved health is well worth following his recommendations.

Fantastic experience: I first came to Dr. Scott for throid dysfunction and digestive problems. At the consult they explain the tests that need to be done and why. After receiving my results, I found out that I had food allergies that I did not know I had. Dr. Scott put me on a diet plan specific to my needs and vitamins. It has been 3 months and my thyroid is regulating, my stomach is free from bloating and pain and I have had no reflux. I have also lost weight which is an added bonus. It is definitely worth going to see Dr. Scott and his staff to see how functional medicine can work for you. It is a lifestyle change and is completely manageable. I highly recommend going to the seminar and scheduling a consultation.

Negative experience: I went to one of his seminars and he is knowledgeable. I did the blood work and saw him for the follow up. The cost was very pricy so unless you have money or do the monthly plan the insurance won't cover and he want's his money either upfront or monthly which I prefer to pay as I go I don't want to give someone $5,000 to do treatments that I may not end up needing or if something happens I don't finish. I would say just make sure you this is a fit for you.

I have been very sick for several years. I did not know what was causing my illness with my Stomach, problems, my blood pressure, & Blood Sugar, which would not reduce lower until I met Dr. Scott! Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Scott for over three years. My back feels so much better. My only regret is not going to him sooner. I am also seeing him for various metabolic and inflammatory problems (asthma, chemical sensitivities, thyroid, vitiligo). I am experiencing major improvements in my health and less negative reactions to allergens and environmental exposures (examples: cleaners, perfumes). The places where I have vitiligo are starting to heal. I see tiny hairs growing back, which means the hair follicles are working again. Dr. Scott listens. Fantastic experience: After struggling for years with Hashimotos Disease and not getting anywhere with my physician, I decided to attend on of Dr. Scott's seminars. He gave a lot of information and I realized that my physician was just treating the symptoms. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Scott's for about 3 years or more. I was skeptical in the beginning because I had only seen old methods of chiropractic care and it scared me to death! I had gone to a seminar of his because a friend and her husband had such great results with him and asked us to check out the seminar. I didn't necessarily believe in it, but I went. I agreed to go for treatment, but specifically asked that if I didn't like it or didn't see a change, then what? He assured me that I would not have to continue. I had suffered from cluster migraines for years and just short of shots for relief, but that's not why I went to see him. After a few months, I realized my migraines were gone! REALLY GONE! I continue on a maintenance plan. If you have ever had a migraine . . . you know what I'm talking about. Fantastic experience: A great place , with friendly staff that works hard to make sure you feel right at home. Adjustments are done expertly by Dr. Scott and you always leave feeling better than when you arrived. The best place I know of to get your body tuned up . Went to Total health center today for a massage and an adjustment. When I arrived my hip and neck were causing me a fair amount of pain. The massage relaxed me and Dr. Scott put every thing back where it belonged. When I left I was feeling much better. This is a great way to give your body a spring tune-up!

Positive experience: I'm 8 weeks into the dietary changes and supplementation to heal my intestinal issues, chronic inflammation and hypothyroidism. So far I feel great, my gut is settling down and my pain is starting to ease up. I find now that I am healing, my body can absorb more nutrients which is helping me with my athletic training and performance. Relieved to find a functional medicine doctor who does the extensive testing to find the root cause of my issues, not just treat my symptoms. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Scott for about one month now. I am very pleased with the staff and my patient care. When you go to Dr Scott, be prepared for a unique experience. After tests are resulted, Dr Scott will actually look for the root cause of what is happening and then determine treatment with many dietary changes and possibly a few supplements. He will not say you have this? wrong, so all you have to do is take a drug or many drugs. He works with you to fix what isn't working. So far, I have lost weight and feel full of energy with less digestive issues. I must be on my way.

Negative experience: I went to Dr Scott for deteriorating health issues. He does not accept insurance for his functional medicine. I paid over $4,000 for his services. I followed his protocol strictly for 6 mos and then 95% for another 6 mos. He seems to have one protocol and if that doesn't work than he has no other plans - maybe that protocol works for some but it did not for me. I was no better physically at the end of the year than the start, and in some ways I was worse off. Be wary of all the sales tactics used - they dish out a lot in the seminars and when they are trying to get you to join the program. I left after a year feeling like it was just someone capitalizing on sick people.

Positive experience: Charlene the massage therapist has hands of the Gods! Best massage! Dr Scott extremely professional. The receptionists, medical assistants, and front desk staff ROCK! Always very helpful and willing to go out on a limb to assist. Very convenient location and hours flexible for everyone no matter what hours you work. Recent office renovation for icing on the cake.

Fantastic experience: I discovered the Total Health Center through an ad in the paper for a seminar on thyroid health. I had been diagnosed with a fairly large growth on the right side of my thyroid.
