Fantastic experience: This is a great weight loss center. This is my second time enrolling with them. Everyone at this center is helpful and wants you to succeed. I have big issues with my diet and mental health and they really helped me understand the process that I need to take to succeed. The first time in the program I lost 40 pounds which was before my wedding but then I relapsed during some very stressful situations and gained it all back. My progress is slow but steady but I am again understanding the tools that I need to do to maintain a healthy life again. Fantastic experience: Dr. Scharer is so compassionate and professional. He really took the time to get to know each patient as individuals. The staff was amazing as well. They were very patient, understanding, and supportive. I went into my Spinal Aid consult barely being able to walk, even with a cane and knee/ankle braces on. I was practically living on pain medication and pain relief spray. Approximately halfway through the treatments, I was able to stop using knee/ankle braces, and I started weaning off the pain meds. Now that I've completed the Spinal Aid treatment program, I haven't worn a brace in about 2 months, and I haven't taken pain meds in days. Fantastic experience: The first few weeks are very challenging. I had read the reviews before and was nervous. some said it was a scam some said you are starving. And when I started, I felt all of this but I had invested the money and I wanted to see it through. I have a very busy job schedule that I need to travel often I will say that I believe that there could be better, and more tips provided for those who have to travel. I did the best you can since eating Subway every meal was not going to work for me. As they days went on and the weight comes off, I felt more drive to continue my journey to a better me. My wife and I did the program together which I believe helped with the success for both of us. I was not able to make many of the calls, but any questions were answered when my wife would call in. The daily tracking is a big driver to insure you are eating right and you can see when you do "cheat" the negative results you get. The different breakers and tips from Dr. Sharer is extremely helpful to get back on track. Be honest with yourself and the Dr. to get the best results. I lost over 40lbs and 19 inches and feel like a new person. Fantastic experience: I did spinal decompression therapy, 20 visits for my spinal stenosis, L4 slip and L4/L5 disc degeneration along with facet joint arthritis in L4/L5 and L5/S1 locations. It has been plaguing my activities for the last 5 years and had gotten to the point of being intrusive to my lifestyle. I have done bi-annual facet joint injections (cortizone) for 3 years to keep the pain at bay and retain the use of my left leg at high levels (I'm a bicyclist). I considered this therapy as an alternative to an inversion table or other methods of decompressing my lower back. Inversion tables make me spin (dizzy) for a few hours after use, so this seemed like the way to go. To be honest, I have let it go for far too long and came in with some pretty severe issues and left leg nerve problems (muscles shutting off, zingers down the leg, etc...). It seems I came here too late for my severe issues to be 100% resolved, however I can safely say I am 95% resolved of my issues after all the treatments and home care are followed. Doctor was genuinely concerned he couldn't help me 100%, but honestly I was probably far too long in waiting to do this therapy to be 100%. Previously I could only spend maybe an hour in my shop before I was walking bent over and in pain whenever I bent over to get something or stand up straight. I worked in my shop for 3 hours after my treatments without any knowledge my back was an issue. Painting door panels, lifting them onto their stands and bending over to get into tough areas during painting were a non-issue...something I couldn't do previously without a lot of pain and extra tylenol (which I haven't taken since the 10th treatment!!). Follow the home care treatment...ice, ice, back brace, ice and more ice...and go through the spinal decompression therapy, it will work wonders as it did on my lower back. I highly recommend this for anyone. The staff was always wonderful to work with and swiftly took care of me during all of my appointments. You will not be disappointed in the outcome.

Negative experience: Only saw the Dr. for the consult and the very large payment. He was never available after that when I had questions and wasn’t loosing weight while I was following the program. The girls gave me conflicting answers every time I went in. To everyone out there thinking about this program, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This is our second round on this program as we did not really take it seriously upon completing the first round back in early 2019 and just fell back into old habits, pandemic etc etc and of course the weight piled back on. Fantastic experience: After a stressful year for various reasons, I was at the highest weight I had ever been. I tried to watch what I ate, counted points-nothing was working. I kept hearing advertisements about the Wausau Weight Loss Program and knew a couple of individuals that had great results on it, so I decided to check into it! I am so thankful that I made that appointment! I lost 16 pounds and a total of 20.5 inches! I feel the best I have felt in 10 years. And I did it all in approximately 8 weeks! Dr. Scharer and his staff are amazing. They are right there with you on the journey! I highly recommend the Wausau Weight Loss Program if you are looking for a way to shed those extra pounds. Negative experience: I moved back to Wisconsin a bit ago and had been part of a weight loss program in Philadelphia prior. I liked it and it worked, so I was looking for something out here to continue with. I gave this office a call, and was taken off guard by the brick wall I encountered when asking about pricing. They absolutely refuse to give a price over the phone, which put me off quite a bit because I work long hours and it seems like a major red flag. I have done several programs in different states and never encountered that before. I understand wanting to fully explain your product/program before revealing the proposed bill, but some people want to be able to ascertain if it's worth the time or - more importantly - something they could afford, no matter how effective it might sound. I believe that if you stand by your product you should be able to state a ballpark price or range at the very least because you know it's worth it, and I believe it's respectful to the time of the consumer as well. Apparently, as I read in the questions, it's about $1500 with a payment plan. Just in case anyone else was wondering. I cannot verify the accuracy or vouch for anything with the program because I was too put off by the secrecy of their program prices to want to pursue more information.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Schaer’s weight loss program is hands down the best decision I could have ever made. The program is more than just a “diet”. Dr. Schaer and his staff teach you how to change your lifestyle and give you the tools to be successful. Prior to the program, I was addicted to food and the thought of asking for help terrified me. I never thought I had willpower and never thought I could actually stick to a diet. This program taught me how to develop willpower and allowed me to lose over 130 pounds and drop 10 pants sizes without saggy skin (now at nearly 150 pounds lost by continuing to follow the diet). This program is not easy and certainly takes dedication, but it is worth every second! The weight comes off very quickly! I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the accountability that Dr. Schaer and his staff provided. By having weekly check in’s I was held accountable to stick to the diet. Dr. Schaer was always there to answer questions along the way and more importantly keep me motivated when the scale slowed down due to my body playing catchup (losing inches). I always felt supported by every single staff member. It truly felt like they were cheering me on. Although the program isn’t cheap, the amount of money I saved in groceries makes up for it. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is struggling to lose weight on their own and needs that extra push!
