Negative experience: I was put under self pay charged almost $800 when I’ve had insurance the entire time. Cannot get ahold of billing, last week I canceled my appointment for yesterday(and called to confirm cancellation) but was still charged for appointment. Everytime I call they say billing isn’t available right now.

Negative experience: I wish I came to see this reviews before scheduling with them because I understand why so many are a 1 start review. Sadly, I also did not have the best experience with them. Although the initial screening went smoothly, I had to call to ensure I received the documentation since they never sent it. They assigned me a therapist who was out-of-network, but they never disclosed this to me until I received a bill and I called. I was told it was my responsibility to verify that information, even though they never provided any details and simply scheduled my appointment quickly.
Negative experience: The front desk and billing department are incredibly unprofessional and incompetent. They charged me $570 without notice to me and before processing the claim with my insurance company. Because of their mistake they told me I would have to wait 2-4 weeks for the insurance to process the claim and get a refund. My insurance company even noted how inappropriate and ridiculous the situation is. The insurance company has yet to receive a claim from this office regarding the appointment they charged me for. Go anywhere else. My doctor is great but nothing is worse than incompetent people handling money.

It was time to see a nutritionist again after 25 years. No judgement. Excellent follow up email and we will talk again soon. That was late December and just had another appointment, feel good, once a month...she asks all the right questions

Negative experience: If you are in need of a psychiatrist who consistently sends the incorrect medications to your pharmacy or sends the right medications to the wrong pharmacy, Dr. Marie Campagnone is the doctor you should visit. If you desire a doctor who neglects to refill your medications for 48 hours, leading you to endure withdrawal symptoms, then that is the doctor you should seek. If you are seeking chaos and additional burdens and stress, then this is the ideal place for you.
Negative experience: If I could leave no stars I would. Initial appointment was promising, and then it all went downhill from there. I went a month with them claiming they'd take care of a prescription that was never filled properly. Doctor Campignone never responded to a single call, voicemail, or portal message, I was shuffled around from person to person with no resolution and charged hundreds of dollars for literally no care... when I had my follow up appointment, she asked how the meds were going... the ones I was never able to get because she never filled them right the first time and then did the same exact thing after the follow up. They switched me to another provider who I would have been more than happy to see regularly because he was excellent, but I'm not allowed to have an appointment with him until I pay my balance for the "doctor" who did literally nothing. So now I'm stuck unable to see the provider I actually like because they want to be paid for doing nothing and are demanding that I put a credit card on file with them so they can just blindly charge me. I'm so glad that I chose not to put a card on file because now they can't rip me off. I think I'll be reporting this situation the board of physicians as well because honestly saying you'll treat a person and then not following through is malpractice... if you're looking for real help, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!
Negative experience: This clinic keeps charging my card over and over and over again. Do NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT card information to set up an appointment. Scam!
Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for someone that’s compassionate and caring, someone that is patient and is a great listener, I would recommend Tolulope Oguntomi! She is by far the best provider that I’ve had since I have been with Washington Nutrition & Counseling Group. It's so hard to find a good doctor these days and I truly believe that she understands that and that is part of the reason why I would highly recommend her.

Negative experience: I generally hesitate to leave negative reviews, but when it comes to any individual's healthcare, I believe it's important to share experiences and help others help themselves. What initially seemed promising has quickly turned into a frustrating and discouraging ordeal. At first, scheduling was straightforward, and I felt confident in the process. The initial in-person appointment went well—everyone was friendly, and a clear plan was set in place. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there when it came to meeting with doctors, completing necessary tests, and, most importantly, receiving my prescription. The communication throughout has been abysmal. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Initial Appointment: The appointment itself was fine—people were kind, and we established a plan of care. That was the high point. Lack of Follow-Through: Since then, there has been failures to communicate about and provide access to the required testing. Once that hurdle was cleared after several back and forths, I have sent multiple follow-up inquiries to get clarity on the next steps, only to receive vague responses that my provider will follow-up. Days, then weeks have gone by with no updates, and when I inquire again, I get other vague replies, pushing the matter further into the future. Delays in Processing: Although testing was completed weeks ago, the process seems to be stalled as the results are still "being reviewed." This has dragged on for weeks without any resolution or answers. Unmet Expectations: The main reason I sought out this service was to establish care with a provider locally so that I could receive a prescription I've been on for years. The delay is especially frustrating because this is a controlled substance, and I specifically sought this service due to the difficulty of transferring prescriptions across state lines (I recently moved). As of now, I’m no closer to receiving the prescription I need, and the lack of clear communication has made an already stressful process even more taxing. I understand that challenges may arise, but this level of inefficiency and poor communication falls far short of what I expected from a healthcare provider. I hope this review helps others understand the challenges you may face here, and I genuinely hope this situation improves for future patients.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Waste of time. Terrible front desk. Zero care for patients. No listening to patients problems or complaints. They're not doing their job! I supposed to get some tests! They never sent it to me , And so I canceled my sessions because they're wasting my time, money and energy!
Negative experience: BILLING NIGHTMARE. I was charged hundreds of dollars months after my last appointment due to their billing department's mistakes. The billing department submitted erroneous claims to my insurance, and instead of fixing them, they sat on the denial letters and charged me full price for multiple services months after my last appointment--with no statements or itemized receipts. After multiple calls and emails, they have since correctly submitted my claims to insurance, but are keeping my money until the payment from my insurance clears. They admit I never should have been charged, but will not refund me for WEEKS. They also told me that this was all my insurance's fault because they changed my policy midyear. Thank goodness I didn't take their word for it. My insurance company sent me documents to prove that my policy never changed, and that the billing department received timely denials outlining the mistakes they were submitting. This is beyond careless--they are completely unethical. DO NOT work with this company. For what it's worth, the licensed Dietician I worked with (Genevieve) was awesome. Too bad the company is in disarray.
Fantastic experience: Awesome experience, am Deaf and rather meet the nutritionist in person one on one but she’s virtual. We tried hard on Zoom mission accomplished finished our own session on chat and it was easy while seeing our face on and off. No problem at all. She also emailed everything I needed after questioning.

Negative experience: Scam artists. Had an appointment in which the NP told me they couldn’t treat me. We talked for a total of 5 minutes. I received a bill for $450 dollars and they didn’t bill my insurance. If you go on yelp a bunch of other people are experiencing the same thing. Do NOT make an appointment here
Negative experience: If you are attempting to have your mental health issues resolved, this place will only cause further harm. They don’t send any of the documentation they want you to complete unless you call/message them multiple times. They all tell you to get in touch with Pam. Whoever Pam is, she is literally never there or is actively choosing not to answer the phone. She just sent evaluation paper work 30 mins before my appt. I was supposed to get them a week ago. For your mental health, please go elsewhere.

Negative experience: The staff here are incompetent and rude. They disclose personal information about the owner, Christine, and bicker among themselves. Their understanding of nutrition is as deep as a puddle. Do not waste your time here!

Negative experience: I met with Dr. Campagnano via Zoom. It was abundantly clear that she had not read my intake paperwork. She did not conduct a proper mental health assessment. She did not ask anything about me or my symptoms or history. When I expressed concern, she told me that if I didn't like her advice, I should go elsewhere. She spent approximately 15 minutes of the allotted 30 minute appointment before telling me not to make another appointment if I don't want to see her again. She was unprofessional, aggressive, unkind, and insulting. She over talked me and talked down to me. I have never been more mistreated by a so-called doctor in my life. I do not recommend her or this practice to anyone.

Negative experience: This place is a scam. Unethical practices. They just want your money. Expect horrible customer service. The providers are in and out like they’re working a summer job. If you are seeking help, don’t go here.

Negative experience: This was a highly unpleasant experience for me. I was put on a waitlist for months, but hadn’t hear back. When doing my due diligence two months later and calling back, the person answering laughed and said in a very patronizing way that the doctor is not accepting patients. Without even thinking to check my status on the waitlist. The support agent was entirely unacceptable in their treatment of someone seeking help for a difficult issue, and I will be seeking alternative options. Hiring people like that does not bode well for a counseling group.

Negative experience: This counseling group is a detriment to your mental health journey. One of their therapists threw around dangerous and misleading diagnoses within minutes of meeting a new client, something that should be done with care. They also randomly scheduled additional appointments without consent AFTER the previous appointments had been canceled explicitly due to the therapist's unprofessional behavior. Seems like they were looking for an opportunity to make more money even after ties were severed. This group makes people not feel safe and want to avoid therapy rather than embracing it. Avoid if you can.

Negative experience: Whoever the phone receptionist was on 9/27/23 in the morning has an extremely unpleasant demeanor and had an attitude when I was just trying to ascertain details about an intro call with a psychiatrist.
Fantastic experience: The nutritionist was very knowledgeable, and profesional. I have been dealing with Gatro-intestinal SIBO symptoms for 5 months. I saw a gastroenterologist who did an endoscopy and said my symptoms; excessive belching , bloating. Abdominal pain, nausea, are side effects of the meds I take. He also does not believe in probiotics. Then I saw a Function Dr who did not heard any of my symptoms. And did not help at all. But the Nutritionist Genevieve Clarke was the only professional who listened to me. I am very satisfied with her help I would recommend her to anyone. She recommended probiotics, ginger as a kinetic among several things. God bless her with more wisdom so she could help other people suffering the way I was !!

Negative experience: I have never had a doctor who listened so poorly and seemed so eager to deliberately misunderstand me as Dr. Compagnone. I found my interaction with her upsetting and alarming. I would not recommend her to anyone, and would particularly warn away anyone with a marginalized identity of any sort.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Genevieve for a few months and she is FANTASTIC! She is so knowledgeable that sometimes I forget that she doesn’t have a medical degree. Genevieve has recommended some supplements and foods that have made a big difference, none of which my doctor ever suggested. She has helped me develop a plan that fits my needs and has helped me modify it as new things come up. She asks the right questions and finds resources for whatever I need help with. Genevieve is kind, caring, patient, understanding and never judgmental. I highly recommend Washington Nutrition and Counseling!

Negative experience: Extremely poor and immature service. Working with this group has only negatively impacted my mental health. Although the nurse I worked with was very nice, everything else about this company is unprofessional and emotionally exhausting to deal with. When I first started seeing a therapist through WNCG I asked multiple times how much I would be expected to pay for services and was never once given a clear answer for months. Only after I asked my health insurance company did I get a straight answer and found out the absurd price WNCG was charging me for 10 minute zoom calls. Granted a lot of that surprise was my own fault as I should have done more to understand my family health insurance plan first. However, WNCG before and after I realized how expensive their services were did not support or inform me in any way and instead failed to communicate or respect me. Once I realized how high the price was I reached out to WNCG to understand the pricing and see if I could negotiate a lower price through a personal payment plan. At first customer and billing service were very friendly and let me know they would have the owner contact me soon to figure out a reduced price. To make a long and frustrating story short it has now been nine weeks and I have yet to hear from the owner despite my repeated calls and communications with the company. In fact in the last four weeks I have not heard from the company at all as none of my calls during this time period have been answered. The only communication I have heard is calls asking me to schedule another session which I will absolutely not be doing. Instead the company has slapped all of these charges onto my credit card and I can't help but wonder if they think they can wait me out on paying my credit card bill instead of giving me a straight answer like adults. One last note. During this same time period I had a similar pricing issue with a therapy service which WNCG put me in contact with (again my inexperience was the reason why there was a pricing misunderstanding). However, within two days of reaching out to this therapy service about my concerns the group responded to me and took the initiative to offer my a reduced personal pricing plan to pay off my therapy visits on a biweekly service. I had all of my bills payed off in a month with very little stress. This just goes to show that poor, immature, and emotionally draining service does not have to be the norm in this industry so please read this and all of the other negative reviews about this group and find a better place to seek help for mental health. Edit: three months after posting this review and I still have yet to actually hear back from anyone at the company. However last week they did send me an email with a new, unexplained charge. I have been trying to talk with someone in billing to get an explanation from them but I am getting no where. Ridiculous and immature. Again, if you needed any more reason not to give your time and money to this place this should be it.
Negative experience: They scheduled me someone out of my location so it wasted mine and her time. Then the second therapist was supposedly experienced in a specific therapy yet didn’t know about it once I brought it up. Very strange and upsetting experiences with this company, I won’t be returning.
Fantastic experience: I've been working with Genevieve for over a year now and I couldn't recommend her enough if you're looking to start working with a nutritionist. The focus is really on establishing healthy habits and transforming your relationship with nutrition and your body as opposed to a narrow focus on what the scale says which I really appreciate. She really listens and takes the time to understand your goals and is so so helpful in thinking through practical strategies in improving your relationship to food and healthy eating. We have done everything from meal planning and brainstorming new recipes to tactics for coping with stress and establishing healthy habits. 10/10 recommend working with Genevieve if you're looking for a nutritionist!
Fantastic experience: Genevieve was very attentive. She provided better option for food options that I shared with her. And agree also provided nutritional information as needed.
Negative experience: Terrible experience from the beginning. The therapist I had left after two sessions and despite the request, I never received another. I asked a psych to make edits on my accommodation form because what we discussed was not on the form and she told me she had too many patients and didn't have time, so she refused to make the changes. & When trying to switch to a different psych, they never seemed to be available the day of my appointment, so I had back-to-back same day cancellations. Oh, & I was scheduled for 3 nutrition appointments without being told my insurance didn't cover them. It wasn't until I saw three separate $100 charges that I became aware. So yeah, I've tried more than enough times but now I'm over it and have sought services elsewhere.
Negative experience: Random charges for hundreds of dollars over a year after services concluded. Avoid at all costs, and get a new card if you stop visits, scam

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. My experience during the initial consultation call was appalling. The in-take coordinator asked if my eating disorder was "truly an eating disorder". I've never experience such callousness & unprofessionalism. The legitimacy of one's disorder should never be questioned, especially by a nutrition & mental health organization. Please train your staff on how to communicate with potential patients.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst people!! Whomever was working at the front desk (calling to receive updated information) on the morning of 8/25 tried to intimidate me, had an attitude, was rude and highly insensitive. I Will NEVER come back. However, Dr. Zubair and Shanae were nice individuals. This review was solely for how the office conducted themselves.

Negative experience: I had been seeing one of their therapist for a few months. Unfortunately, he was sentenced to federal prison for three years for running a fraud scam and no one from WNCG reached out to me to tell me he was no long employed there. When I did get in touch with someone she told me "well, he did email you" (he'd told me he was taking a on month sabbatical).

Negative experience: If you're looking for counseling or therapy services, go somewhere else. The front desk help can be very rude at times, which is really surprised me seeing as how they are supposed to be helping people receive help. However that hasn't been my experience with every call so It could be one employee. They also don't allow you to cancel appointments online, only create them. So you're forced to play phone tag with the office.

Negative experience: If you’re looking for counseling services please find somewhere else to go because while you’re receiving therapy they will add a new stressor to your life regarding your bill. Their accounting department is horrible. They charge your card whenever they feel like and their receipts do not reflect the date they charged your card. I stopped going to them for this sole reason. I have not been a patient at this facility since July 2021 yet they recently charged my FSA card on March 14, 2022. I called and spoke with accounting and Pam informed me that I was charged for two sessions that I was never charged for in March 2021. What in the world are they doing in their accounting department that they are charging me for sessions that took place a year ago??? Unprofessional, dishonest, and thieves. You would think they’d tried to contact me about the payment or inform me of the balance before charging my card without my consent. Especially since I am no longer a patient and discontinued my therapy sessions with them in July 2021. You can’t even receive therapy there without being taken advantage of financially. I would never recommend this location. They are horrible!!!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Zubair is a truly gifted mental health practitioner. She is completely invested in positive patient outcomes and she works collaboratively with her patients to find the best solutions for them. The front desk staff diligently works to ensure patients are able to see their providers. I am surprised to see negative reviews. I have only had fantastic experiences with this office and have recommended this practice to friends and family members. It can be hard to find good mental health providers. You are in good hands with Ms. Zubair.

Negative experience: They would not refill my best friend's prescription until a $50 balance was paid (she needed to wait 2 days until payday). They were just going to let her run out of medication over $50! She had a card on file and just needed an extra 48 hours! How is that legal? I called and paid the balance so she wouldn't harm herself or someone else and could get her meds. This practice is dangerous and doesn't care about their patients. DO NOT GO HERE, I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!

Negative experience: Avoid this place. Although the Nutritionist I video conferenced with was helpful, she was 15 minutes late to our scheduled meeting. I booked a Metabolic testing and called a day before to confirm and a lady said that “I wasn’t on the schedule” so naturally, I didn’t go into their office. I call 12 times across 2 days and no one picks up the phone. Then, I get this random charge for $60 and a lady from this company calls me a few days later and said that it was a no show fee?! I literally was told I wasn’t on the schedule so obviously I’m not going to waste my time and show up. Nevertheless, I should have read the reviews on here beforehand before engaging with this company.

Negative experience: Dreadful, Dreadful office staff, I have been trying to call for a mental health follow-up appointment for over a week. The stress that this has added on me is the exact opposite of what I need. Even before I had an appointment no one contacted me to provide the links for the tele health appt. They called like 15 or more mins after my appt time, and only because I called to complain. HOWEVER, Bukola Zubair seemed like a lovely, attentive Nurse Practitioner, and I wish her well.

Negative experience: I was able to speak with a nurse practitioner the day I called which was nice. However, the nurse said she would consult with their doctor to get my medications prescribed, but I'm guessing she never did. I called today to see what was happening with that and was told that nurse no longer works there...so now I'm almost out of my meds and they said they could maybe text the doctor but I would need to set up another appointment. Won't be returning, total waste of time.

Negative experience: ridiculous! i call them and they want my name, address, date of birth, full credit card (i have groupon) then wanted to run by through a verification machine before even scheduling an apt! more like a scam. DO NOT CALL

Fantastic experience: I had Bru Prasad as a therapist for about 6 months between October 2020 and April 2021. When I started, I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and stress. Bru worked a lot with me on my personal relationships, loss of loved ones, and managing my health and performance at work. Working with Bru, I was able to develop my own internal accountability tools as well as learn to better manage my emotions. It was not an easy road. We met weekly in the first few months for a one-hour sessions each time and slowly transitioned the sessions to once every two weeks. Bru was always extremely professional and organized. He offered several different hacks to help me deal with both my personal and professional issues. He talked with me about my relationships and offered his council. He was a great listener and had an intuitive understanding of others’ emotions. He was always on time for our sessions and was flexible in rescheduling whenever a conflict arose in either of our calendars. Bru challenged me when he needed to while always remaining reassuring. Our sessions were all via telecommunication online as it was during the pandemic period. The online system he used to have the sessions and take payments was extremely easy to work with, and we had minimal technical issues. As a first-time therapy patient and client of Bru, I felt the sessions were akin to a discussion with a trusted friend. He has a strong personal interest in leadership and is an avid reader of books focusing on the topic. He is humorous and witty, and definitely enjoys a good joke. I sincerely appreciated all the guidance, challenge, and company that Bru offered me during our sessions. I of course still have a lot to work on, but I would one hundred percent recommend this gentleman as a therapist for anyone looking for assistance with their mental health, personal anxieties, time management, or professional/leadership development. Your time will be well spent.

Negative experience: After scheduling an appointment with one of Washington N & C Group's clinicians, the front office calls to tell me the clinician is not taking new clients. Unfortunately, this is is a common problem in therapy and counseling but it is disappointing and unprofessional to come across an organization/clinician that seems like to good fit to only find out they are not taking new clients. It is a simple step to update one's website to inform a potential patient that the clinician isn't available. If Washington N & C Group is too lazy to update their website, its worrisome thinking about the quality of care they provide.
