Fantastic experience: Nice staff and great provider.
Fantastic experience: PCP was great person
Fantastic experience: Thank you to the team of professionals who keep their word and stand ten does down. Welcome to America
Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience at this dental office. One of my teeth was extracted without clear explanation, and I ended up needing corrective treatment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services and hope they improve their communication and patient care in the future.

Fantastic experience: been there twice so far, great place,dr chris unger is so cool, great dentist, very personal, highly recommend him
Negative experience: I have been trying to call a dentist for 2 days. I wait 2 and 3 hours and nothing. They finally take my call today after 2 hrs waiting and the girl gives me a lot of attitude. And telling me that they have her working alone. That she can't talk to me How people working like that in the clinic in the front desk. I spoke very nice and polite for her to speak to me like that so what kind of clinic is that. I called there because people recommended it to me and it was good but I see that it wasn't. Treating people badly is the best thing they know how to do.
Fantastic experience: I went for an 8:15 to establish care with a provider here and although I wish I could have gotten my appointment schedule quicker, the appointment itself went fantastic. Paperwork was a little hectic but once I started talking to my provider I was able to get everything figured out and I got a lot of help figuring out my financial options regarding care which was fantastic.
Fantastic experience: Excellent interaction between Staff and patient
Fantastic experience: Great team. From check in to the doctor. Great experience

Negative experience: My girlfriend was on the phone waiting for over an hour just waiting to talk to a receptionist, and they would refuse to take her girlfriend for an emergency visit. I am Highly disgusted with the way she was treated, not only did they have no resolution but they did not show any empathy of the situation.
Fantastic experience: Whitney Young saved my life in all aspects PERIOD!!!

Negative experience: Where do I begin? The call center team has hired the most laughably incompetent, hostile curt human beings on the planet to conduct the business of engaging with patients. The staff answers the phone with, at best, a disdainful grumble that you might guess is a greeting. To say they're at war with the callers is putting it lightly. Every call I've made in the past two years I've done reluctantly, and with total dread. I know I'm about to be disrespected, and I know I'm about to be condescended in the most dehumanizing way possible. Most recently, a group of them made of point of cackling together in the background while discussing my medical background. It was mortifying. Needless to say, nothing ever changes, despite how many complaints are made. That's readily apparent from reading the reviews. I nearly felt bad for the administration member I spoke to about it - she was clearly so embarrassed about the team in the call center. Said they were working on finding proper help. I almost felt bad, until this next part. My most recent debacle involved my referral from back in February finally getting faxed yesterday. It's October. The response to this was faulty reporting (though, that contradicted earlier reports of multiple fax attempts and failures? Lolol. K). The highlight of that conversation was being questioned why *I* didn't follow up. Disregarding the fact that I did, and was told that these things "take time," I guess I must be on the Whitney Young payroll, because apparently the burden of confirming the transfer of referrals between facilities now falls to me. Good to know. Where's my W4? But I digress. I guess it was just too much work to get the accident patient the physical therapy they needed by picking up the phone in nearly a year to make sure the documentation they are responsible for made its way into the hands of the proper recipients. Lol. Clowns. Beyond that, don't get too comfortable with any doctors here. Because they'll vacate this three-ring circus as soon as they get the lay of the land. Low pay, high case loads, and limited growth potential. This place is a turn-and-burn for medical professionals. A brief stop to accent the resume. And who could blame them? Unfortunately, that just means anyone worth their salt is through the revolving door just as soon as some familiarity is established. So disappointing. They really have such a promising operation here. Sad to finally throw in the towel, but at this point, this place is a joke and the punchline is giving depression.

Negative experience: I had the unfortunate experience of speaking to someone over the phone today who was extremely rude! I called to set up an appointment for a specific reason and was told that I would need to get on a waitlist for July/August. Great! – so I thought. The individual then proceeded to ask if I was planning on making this office my primary care and when I responded “no,” she responded, “well this is a primary care agency” and abruptly hung up. I was shocked beyond words. After waiting over 30 minutes to speak to someone, one would expect to have an informative conversation before being rudely disconnected. If the representative fully explained the offices’ procedure and gave me the opportunity to respond, I would have been more than happy to make this office my primary care. But I’m sure this unfortunate situation is for the best! If this person’s actions are anything indicative of how this office functions, special attention needs to be directed to customer service training. Medical issues are complex and office procedures are not known to the public, therefore, providing potential patients with complete, accurate guidance is imperative. Furthermore, exhibiting patience and respect for human beings should come with the territory! Based on my experience, I will not recommend here to anyone. All the best!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. I had to call 3 times just for the person to act so nonchalant. The 1st call, I was hung up on after waiting in queue for 10mins, the 2nd I missed after waiting 15mins, the 3rd I waited 20mins only to be told there are no new patient appt till June. Mind you I called last year October to be put on the waiting list for January and never got contacted back, the person I spoke to then was also rude and condescending.

Negative experience: It's really discouraging spending hours and hours just trying to call to make an appointment. You can only make appointments at the beginning of the month which puts extreme stress on the system, the workers, and the patients. I've seen a dentist there once and couldn't even get x-rays done because no one told me I'd need to take out piercings in advance, and they didn't want to wait for me to take them out there. This was 2 years ago, I've been trying to get an appointment since then for x-rays and for fillings, but can never get in. If there's too many people on hold, the phone system apologizes and says it will forward you to voice messaging- but it actually just hangs up on you. Whitney Young needs to ask for more support from the city and state, and needs more money for its workers. Idk what the admin staff make but I'm sure it's way too much compared to the essential workers. Pay your staff more and expand your staffing so you prevent burnout of your staff and you can actually provide to the community.

Negative experience: One of the most uncomfortable clinic I’ve been to; you’ll get talked down, no real help or common sense with medical recommendations. I’ve been getting the runaround and having my medical concerns minimized multiple times. Albany with primary care clinics, and at this point, I'd consider traveling further distances to receive genuine medical care.

Negative experience: The dental office was great a couple years ago. They currently have ONE dentist and about 10 000 patients. One dentist cannot handle all of these people.I honestly don't blame her if she quits .They are driving her into the ground!!!I waited two weeks to get an appt after I had to cancel am appt. They make no room for current patients.Thet just keep taking on more and more people.I even ended up leaving once bec they had an immigrant who needed to use an interpreter via phone.I waited and waited and waited .I finally left after an hour and a half. Now they don't have any dentists but, one. When you call its easily a two and half hour wait until they answer. They only have one person answering phones and one dentist. The place is a mess ! Complete mess! If you can find a new dentist go to them.I also heard a dentist complaining one day ,who again did not stay very long, that he was leaving because they don't pay well.Thats just sad.Tgey would rather open new offices and have lavish parties then help patients!!

Negative experience: Worst folks handle the customer services and call. I would give zero stars if I can. Despite she gave wrong info about my daughter last medical visit, she is so rude and unprofessional when handling our inquiries. She cant even schedule an appointment because October' Schedule is not opened yet!!!! STRANGE, never happened with any other facility except this.
Negative experience: if you are a woman of color, DO NOT book with Dr. Skory. He will make you EXTREMELY uncomfortable. He is one of those racist old men who say offensive things and disguise them as jokes! He will offend you and then gaslight you if you call him out on it. I cant imagine how many women he has offended in his 40 years of being a doctor! I had paper work that needed to be filled out during my appointment (i recently gave birth) & because I told him that he made ne uncomfortable he REFUSED to fill out my paper work! Whitney Young, get rid of this jerk already!! The nurses, other doctors and receptionist are nice though!
Fantastic experience: Every time is a good experience

Fantastic experience: Very good!
Hi L e xu, Thank you for letting us know about your good experience!
Negative experience: This is going to be as fair as a review as humanly possible. I switched to Whitney Young as my son's primary health care servicer so that my child with health conditions could continue to see the same, great provider that he has seen throughout the years. I have honestly regretted it since. The issue here is not with the Doctor's or even the nurses. The issue comes from complete lack of communication, and lack of follow through. Whenever I call in, there is easily a 45+ minute wait on the phones. This makes any type of "quick" conversation impossible, and really makes it so you have to plan your day around the phone call to WY. When you finally do get a hold of a staff member, you can tell the frustration they have been through. They are tired, and worn out and you can really tell. I don't blame the staff answering the phones, I blame leadership. A great example of what I just had to deal with commonly goes like this: My child get's sick. My child takes medications that can clash with OTC's so I put in a phone call. 45+ minutes later, I am connected to a curt operator who doesn't let me finish my sentence. I kindly ask the receptionist to have anyone call me back so I can ask them what my son can and can not take. That was three days ago. Second day, I emailed the provider through their online portal system, Athena. This too is a joke. I write two separate letters, on two more separate days, begging for them to communicate with me, and asking for help. No reply. I called again this morning, and explain for the third time (45 minutes x 3 now for 1 call) that I desperately need medical advice. When I finally get connected to the nurse, they claim they never got the email messages, or the phone messages. Why not? Communication and leadership. I have never had to work so hard to get a prescription refill, a referral, or just have a medical question answered at Whitney Young. I really do believe that there are great people working in there that genuinely want to help, but without leadership having your backs and active communication throughout all levels of the company, this type of situation will continue to happen. If you can look elsewhere, you'll be happy you did.
Hi Daniel. Thank you for sharing your concerns. We apologize for your bad experience would like to address the situation. Your message was forwarded to our quality assurance director, and I have asked her to reach out to you. She is currently out of the office and will return on Tuesday 5/3.
Negative experience: They will not answer the phone .
Hi Vaeh - thank you for contacting Whitney Young Health. We typically try to have at least two people at our front desk, but there are times when that is not possible for various reasons. Even at those times, our receptionists do their best to maintain a positive attitude. Our apology that you had to wait so long. If you would like to discuss further, please contact our Patient Engagement Specialist at 518-465-4771 ext. 4905.
Negative experience: The worst of the worst I don’t recommend anyone to go there at all the people on the phone are very rude and they will hang up the phone on you when u need help just tried to call nd make an appointment for my head injury and she just hanged up the phone on me when I tried to tell her I can’t be on the waiting list bc I need it sooner
Hi Melak, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We apologize for your experience. If you would like to discuss further, please contact our Patient Engagement Specialist at 518-465-4771 ext. 4905.
Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to go here, not unless you want to be treated like your income…low
Thank you for reaching out regarding your concerns. We apologize for your bad experience. It is Whitney Young Health’s obligation to provide a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff and visitors. If your issue has not been resolved through our staff please contact our Patient Engagement Specialist at 518-465-4771 ext. 4905.
Fantastic experience: Very good
Thank you, Richard
Negative experience: I haven't been able to make an appointment during couple of months. Been in queue for 43 & 38 mins each time, but they hung up every time and didn't call back. Their telephone receptionists are very unprofessional & irresponsible.
Hi Mo Lawi - Thank you for reaching out. Whitney Young Health answers all calls in the order they are received and strives to answer them in a timely manner. Like many other health care organizations, wait times may be longer due to staffing shortages. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Patient Engagement Specialist at 518-465-4771 ext. 4905.
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. I transferred with the boys pediatrician because he had seen them for 6 & 12 years. When you call, there is a 30 minute hold time before you speak to a receptionist and everytime I leave message for a call back I NEVER receive one. Not to mention in person visits... Its a two hour trip does not matter what time of day and the lobby is usually empty. Would NOT recommend.
Negative experience: Plz teach them gratitude they are dealing with patient with high blood pressure and diabetes. When ever you call your customer service number their BP always high they don’t like say hi how are you and raised their voice I want make oppointment but end up hung up and it’s every time. They don’t care other people life . It’s trouble to handle them when your sick. Plz help patient for their medical needs that clinic meant. Thanks
Negative experience: Most providers are under two year contracts don't be surprised if your randomly referred to someone new
Positive experience: Lot of tough reviews on here so I thought I would share my two experiences at this location. I recently finished graduate school and am still job hunting, so I had to get some inexpensive dental insurance. Having done so, I only had two options for clinics, here, and St. Peter's clinic. People need to keep realistic expectations. This location handles the medicaid patients in the area. They do extremely high volume compared to most private dental clinics. My only complaint is that it is hard to get someone on the phone and that is because one person is taking care of myriad tasks and sometimes you have to be on hold. I just plan on calling when I am working on something else so I don't get ticked off from waiting. Again, it is what it is...going with the flow tends to be less frustrating than trying to stop the tide. Check in: Richard was working the front desk. He was very polite and helpful. Just a side note, I find that when I am polite to people and treat them with respect, I get the same treatment in return. I experienced this with every employee I encountered there. Exam and Cleaning: I loved the fact that my exam and cleaning were in one appointment. I had Jennifer cleaning my teeth. She was extremely efficient, yet very thorough as well. I was done faster than any dental appointment ever. She was moving and moving me (through dental x-rays) quickly. It was great. I am someone who seriously dislikes wasting time lol. Fillings: My follow up with Dr. Holder and Lavena (may be off with her name and if so, my apologies) were awesome. I was set up before Dr. Holder came in. He numbed me up real quick and also listened to my question/concern about my front tooth being chipped and chipping away more and more. He quickly ground it down a bit before starting. (He was also working on a patient next door going back and forth. I think this is great! I love the efficiency in this office). I was extremely happy because at most private dental clinics, this would have been a separate appointment. My fillings and cleaning times combined were still faster than most any single dental appointment I've ever had. Checkout: I didn't speak to the young woman for checking out. She was on the phone and I didn't want to wait (I also realized I didn't need to do anything because long-term appointments are not made, only 30 days out at most). Dr. Holder already informed me when I needed to call and get an appointment for my next cleaning. I told Richard thank you and that I would call to make an appointment when my next cleaning was due. As always, I received a polite response from Richard. So overall my expectations were low based on my insurance and my options. I was pleasantly surprised on both visits. Even when I start working, I plan on continuing to go to this clinic, I am that happy with the service and I am someone who is notorious for tearing apart bad service in my reviews lol. I also give credit when credit is due :<). *It's been several days since I had my work done and my teeth still feel great. I've had to go back in after getting fillings in the past because they didn't feel right when I would bite down. This was at two different clinics and they both were higher end clinics that only excepted very good insurance. So in terms of a value perspective. I give this clinic 5 stars. **Last note, I got to my appointments very early. I never get to appointments more than 30 minutes prior, but doing so enabled me to get squeezed in quicker. That won't always happen, but it's great that it did. I also always bring work with me or something to read when going to an appointment. Just sitting and waiting with nothing to do would probably get me very upset as well. People just have to be smart and plan accordingly.
Negative experience: Yo it’s all Bad out here. Do NOT COME HERE, ONLY IF YOU REALLY REALLY NEED TO. It’s just the Vibe like the workers don’t even want to be here. Bad Attitudes & Teeth Cleaning don’t mix.
Negative experience: This is the worst place I have been. Don’t go.
Negative experience: Would not recommend this health center unless you do not have any other choices. It’s been ten days and the prescriber STILL has not corrected a prescription that was written incorrectly.
Negative experience: Lark drive Whitney Young might be expended. But their services are not satisfying at all. So do their most of the staff aren’t helpful. Most part they’re very rude and disrespectful to the patients and family members of the patients. Some of the receptionist acts like they’re in charge of the facility. And behave as wild animals do. Lots of patients are leaving from this facility. Because patients don’t get treated as they supposed to.
Negative experience: The doctors are amazing and pays great attention to patients however the customer service is horrible and the pharmacy is a scam! College side Pharmacy billed me for a prescription that was suppose to go to another pharmacy, they scamming the insurance companies!!! Changing primary care providers ASAP !
Fantastic experience: My partner received health services at Whitney Young for several years and found them to be incredibly caring, supportive and helpful. Although he might've needed to wait a short while for many appointments the staff was always great at appointments, on phone calls and follow-up. Whitney Young will forever have my sincere thanks and appreciation.
Negative experience: I called TWO WEEKS AGO just to have them send a medication refill for a controlled substance. I have yet to get that refill yet. Last week a rude receptionist hung up on me while trying to get to the bottom of it and I had to physically go down there to speak with someone about how she carried herself. And still I am here calling trying to get some very important medicine that is needed EVERY WEEK and I’ve been without for two already. Professionalism and satisfying the patient is at an all time low
Negative experience: Today I’ve had the worst experience that anyone could ever have at a health care center very unprofessional appointment was at 12:30 PM did not see the provider to 2:30 PM did not leave the facility until 4 PM terrible experience
Negative experience: Very terrible services. We were waiting long time to see my daughter's doctor. After that they said we have to reschedule. This is 2nd time happened with us. if you call them for anything you have wait more then half hour on the line, sometimes nobody pick up . They don't care about patients. Please don't go there, go somewhere else has better services. horrible service.
Negative experience: The worst I've ever experienced in medicine!
Negative experience: Customer service is very bad. Have to wait more than a hour eventhough we come on schedule time. Does not support all kind of physical check up.
Negative experience: The medical clinic is patronizing and disregards the portal. I had to reschedule due to mobility problems and noted this portal. The next day “Suzanne” called twice in siccession, first to claim that I left a message which was not done by phone nor on the portal. Then "Tabetha" called, amd I told her to reply on the protal. After checking iit, some one had changed the rescheduled appointment I had done, contrary to return visit I was supposed to have with doctor that ordered lan work. I never saw this assiged other doctor and will not be disrespected like this,
Negative experience: This place is absolutely terrible. I would give 0 stars if I could. It’s almost impossible to get thru to talk to a doctor or nurse, they take days to get back to you, most of the staff, nurses as well as people answering the phones are rude, unhelpful, clueless and unwilling to help. I dealt with Victoria and she was lovely, but that has been my only positive experience. The hold times on the phone can be up to 1/2 hour To 45 minutes just to find out no one knows how to help., or the receptionist will tell you that the message wasn’t sent correctly. Overall just a horrible experience almost every time.
Negative experience: The only reason why I go there is because my Dr. of 18 years moved there.
Negative experience: Horrible place please Whitney knock the whole building down and start over ,,,,new staff and new building
Negative experience: AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE DENTAL CLINIC AND THE EXPERIENCES OUR FAMILY HAS HAD WITH THE RECEPTIONIST AT THE MAIN CLINIC AND THE BAD EXPERIENCES MY WIFE AND I EXPERIENCED ON THE SAME DAY WE WILL NO LONGER REQIRE THE SERVICES OF LOW BUDGT HEALTHCARE!! WE WILL NO LONGER REQUIRE THE SERVICES OF GHETTO MED LLC. THESE PPL DON’T PRACTICE MEDICINE THEY PRACTICE HACKERY. THAT HACKERY HAS COSTED YOU THREE PATIENTS!! SAVE YOURSELF NOW AND FIND REAL DOCTORS AND REAL MEDICINE. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!
Negative experience: My 1st attempt today: I was on hold waiting for a receptionist for 8 minutes. I asked to be connected to Medical Records department and waited for another 17-minute hold. When I was finally connected to the Medical Records department, they put me on hold and it kicked me back to the beginning main menu. When the receptionist kindly transferred me to the records department a 2nd time, the call was picked up then hung up. My 2nd attempt today: I followed the call menu to speak directly to the Medical Records department and was on hold for 5 minutes until the call auto directed to a specific doctor's voicemailbox and then the call dropped for a 2nd time. I've spent nearly a half an hour on the phone waiting to speak to a human service provider who can help. This office's phone system has been a huge waste of time.
Fantastic experience: Nice and clean
Negative experience: Horrible place, horrible customer services!!!! Wouldn’t recommend at all
Negative experience: I got into the lobby early. I had an appointment. I waited 45 minutes to check in. There was only one window open and she was helping with an application for a Hispanic lady. they are seriously under staffed! Then to be told that my doc had left for the day. I don't enough meds to last to my next appointment. And I'm lucky the the receptionist was in a good mood. I didn't get charged a no show fee. Even though I was early. My doc won't prescribe any meds because it's been more than a month since I seen him. I just can't call at my job sick to come in for an appointment to be let down like that. I am a dependable person. What am I supposed to do when I run out of my medicine? I depend on it!
Hi Jason - thank you for contacting Whitney Young Health. We typically try to have at least two people at our front desk, but there are times when that is not possible for various reasons and even at those times, our receptionists do their best to maintain a positive attitude. Our apology that you waited 45 minutes. Prescription refills are best handled first by calling your pharmacy who will contact us electronically. If you are receiving a prescription that requires a visit, please make the scheduler know that an appointment is needed by a certain date so you don’t run out of medications and we will ensure you are seen in a timely manner. If, for any reason, you have an unanswered question or are not satisfied with your experience, by all means ask for a supervisor or manager and we can work something out to your satisfaction.
Negative experience: Place is a complete joke. I called about making an appointment and spent 20 minutes on hold before giving up. There's a reason this dump has uniformly terrible reviews here.
Positive experience: If you have a standing appointment, best to be 15 mins early. As you could end up waiting in there check in system longer than the 15 mins they give you grace period for the appointment. On the other hand, they do take those without insurance and rather than just simply billing them payment plans, they have a gentleman who usually will have you signed up within the next 24 hours. They have a pharmacy on site which also helps. You trade the time with the convenience. They are better than urgent care and in many locations geared towards families.
Fantastic experience: I have always been treated very well here. They are caring and explain everything I needed to know about what was going on with me.
Thank you for the lovely review, Rose!
Fantastic experience: I work closely with Scott on a bi-weekly basis, he is very compassionate and understanding. He never casts judgement and seems to genuinely care about your feelings. I am beyond happy that I was referred to this practice by a close friend
Thank you for the kind words Dennis! We will pass along this message to Scott to let him know.
Negative experience: I got Referred by my obgyn to go there to get an iud. Since my original place doesn’t do that their. I’ve called everyday for a week and had to leave voicemails and no one ever called me back... don’t bother. No one answers their phones.
Negative experience: The person who answers the phone at this place is horrible. I called to get an immunization in short notice before a trip. The woman had such a nasty attitude, was so rude, I was absolutely stunned. They had the immunizations but would not make an appointment within over 2 months. When I told her it was an emergency, if we come and wait can we just be squeezed in, she said "that is an emergency for you, not for us." Wow is all I can say.
Hi Fredo, thank you for contacting Whitney Young Health. We apologize for your bad experience calling into our Call Center. We will address this and make sure it never happens again.
Negative experience: Makes you wait a hour then calls your name and says it's not you. now I gotta go to the er to be seen today f^(/< this place
Thank you for sharing your concerns. Whitney Young Health answers all of our calls in the order they are received and strives to answer them in a timely manner. For emergencies, we recommend you call 911 or visit an ER as we are not an urgent care facility. Please call our Customer Service Coordinator at 518-465-4771 ext. 4496 if you have any other concerns.
Positive experience: Diverse crowd, long waiting time
Positive experience: Friendly staff
Thank you for the kind review!
Negative experience: Whitney m young dental clinic is ridiculous..I called for another appt for my teeth and the lately was so rude like how DT y'all respect the people that comes there?? She said byeeee and hung up in my ear

Fantastic experience: Convent /discreet.
Fantastic experience: I hate when u claned an appoitment and they say u was no showe when you know that u called and canled ur appoitment im bout to go some where els to see Doctor thats not rude and the front deckes aint rued either .
Negative experience: This is Michael Kolak, not Brittany Murray. My initial visit with my Doctor Ryan was great, he was very professional, understanding, and helpful. The problem I'm having mainly now is that my next visit date was set after my scripts had run out. I've called their office three times for the past three days to try and have one simple message delivered (that I need my script) and now they still haven't called me back and now im out if my medication and suffering from severe anxiety. Then office staff are for the most part extremely rude too; most if them in my experience. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this place, and I'm really hoping this is not my doctor's fault because he seemed like a great doctor. Anyway I lm going to switch my primary as this place has caused me more trouble than I would've ever experienced elsewhere. I'm breaking down with anxiety yet they don't seem to even care. It's sad.
Negative experience: They ordered tests that I didn't want, and still have to pay for them. I gave them a sample to test, and they ran any test they could with it. Most tests did not even pertain to what I was going in for. I ended up with a $1500 bill. When I called they said it was procedure. Would not go there again!!!!
Negative experience: rude office help. phone operators act like they are not even hs graduates. takes 3 months to be seen by a dr or dental office. if you are looking to get an hour physical this is not the place to go.
Positive experience: ha sido excelente
