Fantastic experience: The employees are always helpful and a pleasure to speak with. Everyone knows their products and very knowledgeable... My daughter introduced me to Heros Pets a couple of years ago, and I've bought dog food and supplements here ever since!

Fantastic experience: If you care about your pets' health and well being, this is the place to be. Everything they carry in their store front is carefully selected. They really pay attention to the quality and origin of each and every product, so I trust that whatever they carry is safe and good for my dog to have. I love that they are a wealth of knowledge in holistic care.

Not only are the products great and health and wellness conscious, but the employees are well informed and eager to answer questions or assist in any way. This pet store truly goes out their way. They provide so many informational sheets, resources, and more. I believe the owner even created a website for feeding. They also are never shy to offer samples to ensure your pet loves it before buying and they aren't scared to return an item if necessary. They love pets, and I am so grateful I found them, truly. Thank you Hero's Pet. I look forward to returning soon, even if I spend too much money here (my dog deserves it hehe.)

Fantastic experience: If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Hero’s is more than just a store where you can buy pet food and other pet related items. It’s a resource for information about how to keep our pets as healthy as possible for as long as possible. Buying all my pet food and treats there, I don’t have to worry about trying to figure out what foods are healthy, and what foods just have great advertising. Hero’s only carries the good stuff. When I’ve had some questions related to something my pet is going through, I feel that I can ask more questions and reach a better understanding of my options than I can at the Vet’s office. Plus, you can educate yourself about topics like heartworm and flea and tick meds,etc. through their blogs and handouts.

Fantastic experience: My family has been going here with our family dog beginning somewhere around 2013 - and they provided a wealth of information to help her live her best life. Now I've started coming here for my own cats the last 2 years. I cannot stress enough how helpful and knowledgeable all of the staff are. This place is truly such a gem that I will never take for granted. I always tell people this is the "Natural Grocers" for pets - but way better. It empowers you with knowledge and solutions to truly help your pets at a root cause level. Do you and your furry friend a favor and visit this shop. It's a gamechanger.

Fantastic experience: If you have a pet, you owe it to your furry one to visit this place. The body of knowledge and experience they have about pet health can only be compared to a veterinarian. In fact, the saved me from going to the vet a few times! Their product selection is simply the best. They have local food, made in small batches with the best ingredients. Their snack choices are a dream for any dog and they have supplements, herbs, broths and powders to keep your pets in top shape. And of course they have a great toy selection! I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful people to work with. I was looking at changing my dogs food. Everyone was so helpful and went over the many different types of dog food that was available. They made lots of suggestions and told me what different foods do for my dogs health. If you have a dog that could use a better food, this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Hero's is seriously the best! I have a cat that has food allergies that causes fluid and crusting in her ears. After trying, on my own, to find a better food I found Hero's. They gave me samples of every possible type and flavor of food and told me how to encourage my cat to try the new foods. I'm happy to report I now have my cat eating a raw diet and her ears are improving. If you've been through this process you know how difficult and expensive it is, but Hero's changes all that! I'm so thankful to the fabulous people at this store for their knowledge and kindness!

Fantastic experience: The associated at this pet store know more about dogs and their care then many vets. We’ve gotten dog probiotics from here that completely healed our pups irritable stomach. We also like a great selection of high-quality dog foods and treats.

Fantastic experience: Out of 8 places I called Hero’s was the only place that took the time to question what I was looking for and why ( a medication the emergency vet recommended but I couldn’t find anywhere), and looked up ingredients and recommended an alternative that they carried. And it worked amazing for my elderly dog!! Thank you Hero’s and employee !

Positive experience: We walk the lake almost every weekend with our chocolate lab and GSP puppy. My chocolate lab loves Heros Pets but every time without fail we go and they are not open. Wish they had better hours so I could grab some treats for my pups after their big walk.

Ever since we moved to this side of town and heard about it. They are the best choice, hands down - the team of employees is kind and caring, very knowledgeable, and the store only carries the best quality food, supplements, treats, toys, products, etc for our furry family members. They even have recommendations and pamphlets for other local pet companies, types of food, supplements, etc. that’s how we found our vet whom we love! I highly recommend Hero’s, even when we moved farther away we still made the drive back to shop here. My dog even knows it and loves going in all the stars!

Fantastic experience: Hands down BEST dog market in the US!!! I have traveled across the country and hands down this place and their staff are the BEST!! These beautiful humans are so incredibly knowledgeable in holistic and natural pet anything, more than actually vets these days!! They carry ONLY the BEST!! They also just launched their own dog food line that is super clean and aligned for any pet with special dietary support, can't wait to try!!! They have helped advise me on some amazing products that helped me get my morkies IBS under control after tons of trial and error!! So grateful for these beautiful humans!!

Fantastic experience: This is the place to go if you have any questions about your pets health! The owner of this store genuinely cares about the well being of her customer’s pets and animal welfare in general. She is extremely knowledgeable and insightful. She is definitely an expert in her field (holistic, alternative, and preventable medicine). The supplements and herbs she recommended for my senior dog’s arthritis and cataracts has proven to work wonders. My dogs mobility and general health has improved immensely ever since.

Fantastic experience: Great store with high quality selection of treats and food. Recently moved down to Littleton after being a manager at another pet store and I only buy raw for my animals. They have a wonderful selection of raw and were quick to make great conversation with me about my cats :) Would highly recommend this store if you're looking for quality products in the pet food world! Store is clean and well organized as well, and the ladies at the counter are super nice and helpful! Purchasing was obviously done with care and intent and they've never been out of my food when I've needed it. Thanks for being so wonderful!

Fantastic experience: My dog become terminally ill with a ruptured tumor on her spleen. I was recommended an herb by the vet and found they sold Yunnan Baiyao at this store. All of the staff was very knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. I highly recommend them. The past 6 days have been remarkable. We know we have to put her down but she is temporarily been back to normal. Between the liver they recommended and herb Hazel has been living her best life. Thank you.

We started going here about three months ago by the recommendation of our dog trainer and our dogs are so much healthier than they were. The employees that work here know so much about pet nutrition and it is worth the investment if you want your dog to be happy and healthy.

Fantastic experience: Five stars isn’t enough for Hero’s. I absolutely love this store and team. Hero’s is staffed with knowledgeable, caring employees. You won’t find a more knowledgeable team in any other store in the greater Denver area. They go above and beyond to support and influence the raw food industry as a whole and are continually educating themselves. I’m someone who researches everything to death and have the comfort of knowing that Hero’s has already done that for me. They are constantly researching and reviewing their products to ensure that they not only are, but remain, top quality products. They aren’t afraid to pull products and brands that no longer meet their standards. They are so patient and will answer every question you could possibly ask or find out the answer for you. Hero’s truly cares about you and your furry loved ones and want to help find the solution that best fits your needs and your pet’s needs and issues (if they have any). I cannot recommend Hero’s enough and send all my friends their way when I can. They’ve even been kind enough to work with some of my friends who live far away and therefore aren’t customers. There’s a lot of heart in this company and it’s passed on through their high quality products and the exceptional service they provide.

Fantastic experience: I accidentally stumbled on Hero’s last year, and now I drive waaaaaay out of the way to come here. They have a great selection of dog and cat stuff, and the staff is super warm and knowledgeable. If you just got your first dog or cat, or are ready to feed your fur baby something better than grocery store “food,” it’s a MUST that you come here and get educated. I always leave here happy and inspired.

Fantastic experience: I went in to Hero’s Pets as a last ditch effort to get my cat to eat, after not eating for about a week on her own. The staff was incredibly helpful and sent me off with a bag filled with samples to see what she would eat or not, along with a list of everything they gave me. Unfortunately, we found a tumor in her lung and had to put her down shortly after. However, I am so grateful for the staff for giving me a piece of hope, and not forcing me to open my wallet right away, but to help me see what Pudge would enjoy first. My future animals will be lucky to have the amazing food that Hero’s offers and I can’t wait to go back again.

I went to Hero’s desperate for help and they were amazing! They are an upscale pet supply place and they have every right to be. I went in and they sat me down and gave me a list of options and many were out of our price range and they said NO PROBLEM! They helped us find our little guy a food that fit our budget. They suggested a few things and we gave them a go, and our pup in just two days is on a normal track. I can’t not express my gratitude to this place and they people that run it. You all are so amazing and helpful. I will NEVER purchase any animal items any where else.

They even have free handouts on a variety of related topics. Allison spent about 30 minutes with me discussing the benefits of getting my two dogs off of national brand pet food. Who knew kibble wasn't good for them?!

Fantastic experience: Hero's pets was a lifesaver for me today. After visiting the vet today on a Sunday, they couldn't do much for my dog who appears to have some tooth pain and swelling, unless I wanted to spend the next 4 hours to wait and be seen. I went in looking for CBD, recommended by the vet technician, and I was helped with that and also recommended some other stuff to help my poor pup for the day. He is sound asleep and looking much better. Thank you so much for helping him.

Fantastic experience: I walked into this store like a deer in headlights. Our sweet pup had been hospitalized and diagnosed with an awful thing, so I didn’t even know where to begin. Molly took me under her wing and spent 2 hours completely schooling me on proper nutrition, ketogenic raw food, CBD, etc. Thanks to Molly, I went from helpless to empowered. She’s also a vet tech, and she’s SO FREAKING AMAZING and knowledgeable. I only wish I would’ve known all of this sooner. I never once felt pressured, but now that I know, our pup is getting the best. Fantastic experience: I find this store to be the best place to learn about pet nutrition. I have never felt pressure to buy anything, nor does anyone make me feel like a bad pet parent when I opt out of their advice. Every single staff member is extremely knowledgeable about all the products they carry and Hero's resources are limitless. If I could hand out extra stars, this store would get it! Positive experience: This place has great products and very knowledgeable staff. Almost too much though. Guilt trip like no other and how awful I am for not doing all the things (they sell) to give my pet the best. I have several friends that will not shop there because of the sales pressure. I go there. I lie about everything I give (or don't give) my pets. Great place, just be prepared to be suffocated and leave feeling like a bad parent (even though you just spend $200).

Negative experience: I started off going to Hero's pet because they carried the specific brand of food that I feed my cats. They have a good selection of products, and good information on raw foods. My complaint is how they talk to customers. Although they tend to have good advice, they have always been condescending towards me if I do anything that differs from their opinion of what is best. Every employee I’ve interacted with, except for one, acts this way. Even today they argued with me about my choice of food that I was going to buy. I have been a loyal customer for two years, but now I am parting ways because they continue to treat me this way.

Fantastic experience: My Yorkie has quite an extensive list of foods he's allergic to, and the ONLY food he can eat is Answers Straight Formula in the Pork flavor, and the Answers Goat Milk. When I tell you I have searched EVERY pet supply store within a 20 mile radius of me, I'm not over exaggerating. Hero's Pets is the one and only place that carries it on shelf. I'm so thankful to have found this place, and the staff who is always kind and helpful.
