AG Urgent Care Jamaica

Negative experience: I haven't been here in a long time since when I first called, I was told my copay was $30, but I am still getting charged $150 for being uninsured. Dr. Janet is fantastic, and she even serves as my primary care physician, so I want to keep coming here because of her! She is one of the best doctors I've ever seen, and she's one in a million. I understand why they used to open early and now close early. I'll be returning for the first time this week, and if I price this quotation again, I'll contact the Federal Business Bureau and switch PC. This has forced me to frequently postpone my medication and use virtual visits, but I hope that changes.

Fantastic experience: Very fast and professional. I love the team work and communication within the staff members. The front desk MA Trishana was very nice, the triaging MA shariffa was very nice also. The doctor Ashley was easy to talk to and very helpful.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Doctor was on a group zoom call on maximum speaker volume throughout my consult (including listening to my heart!) and had to shout over it. Consult lasted maybe 2 minutes. Prices on website are not accurate, was quoted more than double in the office. The receptionist doubles as the physicians assistant and left for a half hour to park her car. There were bugs in the waiting room. Everything was rushed, I'm not confident my tests are accurate or even properly looked at (I could hear the PA and Dr briefly discussing loudly over the zoom call in the other room, so could everyone else) my concerns were not listened to after the tests and generally do not feel like I received any care at all. I will have to book another appointment somewhere else. Waste of time and money.

Negative experience: Went for fluid in my lungs yesterday, was prescribed Prednisone but the medication was not filled due to the MD not being par with my insurance and didn’t know they couldn’t prescribe the said medication. The office is closed on the weekend and I have to pay oop for my much needed medication

You are treated with care and professionalism. I was treated so well even better than my primary physician. My concerns were taken seriously and each one of my ailments addressed. I pass this office all the time and always go straight to city md when I don't feel good which I really dont care for i always feel rushed and . But not at ag urgent care I felt like I matter and my concerns was heard and evaluated the proper way . From the phone inquiry to walking into the office to talking with the provider Janet everything felt right .. Negative experience: I went to AG Urgent Care in Jamaica on Saturday 14 Oct 2023 feeling quite unwell - aches and pains, shivers and shakes and also quite severe back and shoulder pain. I was seen by Latoya Betton who listened to my chest, took vitals and said I had the flu and prescribed anti virals. What she didn’t do was tap on my chest which would have revealed that I actually had pneumonia. I also question how she could have listened to my chest and not heard pneumonia given by that stage I actually had quite severe pneumonia. The severe back pain should also have led her to contemplate this and to order a chest Xray - but she didn’t order that. She also said my temperature was normal but failed to put together that I was taking both Advil and Tylenol - which I was and which I told the nurse. That is - my temperature in the clinic was medicated. Later the same day, the pain in my back got so bad I had to go to Emergency where my shortness of breath was also noted immediately and they were immediately concerned, ordered a chest Xray, CT Scan and other tests and determined that not only did I have pneumonia but that it had developed into Sepsis. I was admitted to hospital for 5 days altogether, lots of IV antibiotics and other things. Had I not got to Emergency, given sepsis had already started, I could have ended up in septic shock and died. Latoya Betton failed in her care for me. She failed to diagnose pneumonia and failed to clinically avert to what my symptoms could suggest or order appropriate tests. I called AG Urgent from hospital on Monday 16 Oct 2023 to complain and have this matter escalated as I was concerned for patient care at the center and wanted to ensure no one else had my experience. I was told I would be called back for follow up. It’s a week later now and no one has called me. Based on my experience, AG Urgent Care is unconcerned with actual patient care or experience and I would strongly advise against visiting the practice and especially warn that Latoya Betton may get your diagnosis wrong - and it could devastating.

Fantastic experience: My go to urgent care. I don't always like it because sickness is annoying and I'd rather go to work and go about my day (lol), but they give me the best care when I need it. Service is always quick, and staff is more than efficient. They have great bedside manner. Especially with my 5 year old. They aren't Pediatricians, so always call the pediatrician first. But they can still help. In my experience, all of the medical staff listen to all of my concerns and thoughts, and then do whatever necessary to assess. My favourite doctor is Janet, she's super honest and does her job excellently. Lastly, it is a very clean site, which is very important to me. Thanks AG Urgent Care!

Negative experience: After I register my info ahead of time. I got to the place and was on line for an hour, I the cold day. After they called me they told me that my insurance was out of network. And then the receptionist told me that it was going to coast me $89.00 to just do a regular COVID test. I was like what the fudge. I couldn’t believe that this private network is taking advantage of poor hard working people that’s trying to survive in getting tested for the COVID 19. To me this AG “Urgent care” is taking advantage of poor hard working people. So they can take the COVID 19 test. This is not right. That they should over charge and take advantage of the pandemic that’s going on world wide. I believe that this place should me under investigation my nyc health department.

Negative experience: Omg been waiting for over 4 hours in the cold to be Seen. The staff are moving like snails (Literally) to be quite honest... They never came outside to give an update. If I could have given zero stars I most certainly would have. THE WORST AG UGENT CARE IN QUEENS‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE ABOUT THE PEOPLE IN THE COLD. SMH!!!

Negative experience: This is the most bad experience I was going with my son under fever to make a test and to the doctor see him and we waiting more than 9 hours on the line and after that they say they don’t cave the rapid test I do the other want but when they take a temperature my son was under fever and I tell I want the doctor see him the doctor was sleeping and say he can’t see my son before the results.. after 9 hours waiting I ask if we can use the bathroom they say was out of service too and when I was see the bathroom was good the personal is to nasty and they don’t interesting for nothing

Negative experience: Hours on line says open a 9am. Worker shows up at 910 n only when Asked says open at 10. Did rapid n had to wait inside for results. This explains why people waited so long in the cold. Plus they only allowed 6 people at a time in. Talk about inefficient! Never again!

Negative experience: Super long queue to get in. They didn't even let people in for asking a question and lock the door from inside. After waiting for 2.5 hours in freezing temperature outside, they told me they have no rapid PCR test, while over phone call they said they can have test result in a few hours. Even if I heard wrong, they can at least provide some basic information in the outside area while we're waiting for hours!

Negative experience: This is a terrible time. We are all facing another pandemic and cases rising with people who live at home with those with pre-existing conditions and we are all checking to make sure we are keeping each other safe. The manager asked at 7:15 what we were there for and we said Covid test. At 8pm she comes back outside and says that she needs to send her employees home and aren’t doing anymore test. You allowed people to stand outside for almost an hour to send them away. The proper way is to allow all those who were on line when you originally checked to be seen and to turn away anyone who came after.

THE YOUNG LADY WHO SITS AT THE FRONT DESK (POOR GIRL WALKS WITH A LIMP GOD BLESS HER) THINKS SHE IS A DIVA AND IS VERY BOSSY & RUDE IF SHE HATES HER JOB THEN STAY HOME OR GET ANOTHER ONE!!! Negative experience: This is my second time going to this place only because I can get my PCR results the next day. They say they open at 9 am but the dont. I went here in October, I was there from 8:40am and they did not come until 9:45am and I still had to wait on the doctor. I went there today Nov 11 from 8:58 am and I had been waiting there, In the rain, calling continuously no answer but yet another person who was waiting they answered her calls and they kept saying we open at 9am we waited until 10am no one came luckily a covid van that does testing came at 10:05 and setup and we were able to go. I left at 10:30 and they still were not open. Its bad. They need to change their hours.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this clinic yesterday. I went in for a rapid test which should’ve taken all of 15-30 minutes but ended up waiting two and a half hours to be seen. They had medical emergencies to tend to in the beginning which I understood to an extent, but to have a stalled waiting room full of people in the middle of a pandemic where people are still testing positive left and right is beyond unacceptable. When I finally got close to being seen, I was told that the receptionist never logged my information in the system which is why people who came after me, got seen before me. How could that even happen? That’s the most basic step upon a patient’s entry into a clinic. That held my process up even further. When I finally got seen, there was more chaos as the staff couldn’t locate my chart. The attending physician, Janet, also had no bedside manner. Very rude, gave me no real medical suggestions as to deal with my diagnosis, and sent me on my way. Lastly, the unprofessional conversations that can be heard from the waiting room were out of line! Sick patients shouldn’t have to hear booming laughter from staff so casually leaning against the reception desk. Do NOT go here!

Negative experience: Terrible service, I spoke to them on the phone 30 minutes prior to going there. The representative told me that the COVID test was free and the moment I arrived the want to charge almost $100!!

Fantastic experience: Great staff. Very welcoming and friendly, I did not feel rushed, and the MA listened to every detail of my complaint. The provider was fast acting and definitely helped to alleviate my symptoms. I was referred for further testing. Would highly recommend this urgent care clinic.

Negative experience: I want to give them Zero rating. They gave me the worst service.Their behavior was rude. They suppose to give me my reports in 2 weeks but after 2 weeks passed, nobody responded. I reported my insurance. My supervisor also contacted them but they just don't care. Never go there. Very unprofessional and rude staff. One of the doctor or nurse who took my blood made my hand situation very bad. I never felt this much bad to go any urgent care. Please don't go there.
