Fantastic experience: Been a member for a month now. We have been to the gym everyday for a month. We really like it. Super friendly staff and very clean. No complaints at this point at all. Negative experience: Everytime I come it seems another machine has "Out of Order" sign. Some have been broke several months. As much as we pay, fixing equipment should be top priority. Gym has gone down the past year- seems less classes for those starting out, need more evening classes that fit a variety of fitness levels.

Negative experience: Locker rooms and connected facilties like sauna and showers are always lacking in cleanliness. Two weeks in a row now one of the showers smells like someone urinated in it, with the smell being even worse when the hot water is on. The cleaning crew of this place is severely lacking. The workout equipment itself is in great condition but be warned of the less than adequate cleaning capability of the staff.

Fantastic experience: It's easy to focus on the negative but... I've been to other, cheaper gyms. WellWay is much cleaner and more consistently stocked than any of them. Their spa went down, and they actually fixed it in a timely manner. They regularly scrub the pool to keep it clean. Yeah, sometimes members make a mess and its not instantly cleaned up by staff, but you come back the next time and the mess isn't still there. The classes are great, shout out to the awesome yoga instructors. The real issue imo is it was designed (architecturally) as a multi-faceted health center focused on group classes and sessions with trainers. But... it's evolved into upper middle class children hogging all the equipment and the lifting areas being totally over saturated. Adding a dedicated free- and machine weights section would be a good move for members, and probably a good move for WellWay as I'm sure many cancel their membership due to the lack of available space to lift.

Negative experience: We used to love going to this gym but now are considering canceling our membership. They keep cutting classes and raising prices. My husband and I only go for classes but with the new schedule and class times we both are losing classes. The evening classes have moved up a half hour which makes it hard for working people and my husband to make it there. He now only has one Bodypump class on the weekend that he can attend per week and he used to be able to go three times a week.

Positive experience: Very decent gym. It's clean, it's orderly, competent staff, great hours, well equipped. A lot of Instagram types work out here so you occasionally have to wait for equipment while people post to their social media. It's pricey. Started at 170 a month and then kept climbing north towards 190. Too rich for my taste. That's what was the nail in the coffin for me. If you're doing the classes, you're getting decent value. If you just want to work out, there's less expensive places and that's ultimately where I ended up. Would much prefer an à la cart option where the classes are an add on as I'm not a hot yoga type.

Negative experience: I will preface by saying when I was a member of this gym, I really loved it. It's super clean and the locker room almost has a spa-like feel. I went to several yoga classes with Tamrin and she's AMAZING. My son did swimming lessons with Shelly and she was wonderful also. Last May my husband got extremely sick and had to go to the hospital, he ended up being admitted and didn't come home for almost two months. During that time he almost lost his life, had several procedures, and open heart surgery. As the sole income provider for our family, we were in a bad spot financially and the first thing I could think to cancel was my gym membership. I had also just found out I was pregnant with twins and was extremely sick with that, and raising our one year old alone. Needless to say, I wasn't going to work out anyway. I always planned on coming back to the gym, but after the experience I've had since I never will. I called to cancel my membership, told the woman our situation and said I literally could not afford the next month fee. I think it was almost $90 at the time and I needed that to feed myself and my son. She said I either had to pay that fee or they could pause my membership for $15 per month. I asked if she could please make an exception (I am not special at all but was desperate) and she said no. So I told her I would do the pause and decided I'd figure it out later because I just had so much going on. Fast forward to now. I haven't been to this gym in almost a year. I'm called and texted frequently by the billing office about the $15 fee. I am not even a member of this gym anymore. I am not going to pay you for a service I'm not utilizing. You are a very fancy, higher priced gym, and you're harassing someone for $15? When I'm not even using your facility? I just don't understand. I wish my entire experience with this gym had been welcoming and kind like it seemed at first, but after the way I was treated during an extremely hard time in my life, I just can't recommend them to anyone. Compassion should be more important than money.

Negative experience: I have been to $80 a month gyms and this is not what it’s worth although that’s what they will charge you. They update contracts without telling members & constantly remove equipment with no anticipation of replacing it. As far as the weight training equipment you would be far better someplace else; very minimal back machines, no calf raise, no glute machine, no hip abductor. Why would you pay $80 a month to have 3 squat racks? Updating contracts without telling members is extremely shady. I’ve also had the pleasure of working here & it’s very easy to see it’s falling apart. The club manager often defaults to handing out write ups to everyone from one person’s mistake. You’ll only get a raise if you threaten to leave. I have never seen a place with so much turn over. Wellway still doesn’t own the building, it’s propped up by the liberty hospital. They’ll hire people with no work experience at all at a higher wage than what you had to work for to get. I’ve heard trainers give out very poor advice as well. I would recommend going to The Foundation in liberty. It’s cheaper and you get a lot more weight training equipment. I would not suggest this gym at all. They’ll tell you that you can use the TRX straps for every piece of equipment they remove. They’re cheating their members. Edit- The Glassdoor reviews (where employees leave reviews about their place of work) speaks volumes about how employees feel about wellway. This review entails the member side of things & the employee side of things. Go elsewhere, this is a warning as much as it is a review!

Negative experience: This was a fabulous gym/wellness center before it was bought by Wellway about a year ago I think? Now you can tell they don't maintain it as well, but charge us more. Equipment has issues, soap dispensers always empty, cleaning wipes always out, no longer any place on the second floor to put your hoodie other than a janky coat rack, dry sauna always seems to be down for maintenance, hot tub down atleast once a month, towels are dirty, cafe has a consistent burnt food smell. They've also completely stopped posting on social media about their shortened hours during holidays. I'm not the only one that notices.
