Fantastic experience: Dr Matt is incredible! I have been in pain for so long, but the minute he began to speak to me he realized what the issue was and what the treatment plan should be. He is kind, gentle and professional. The whole office is a little oasis of tranquility where you feel valued and heard. Easy to get to, lots of parking and very clean. 2 weeks in and my pain has diminished so much I could cry from relief... I want to tell everyone I know what a wonderful experience this has been!! Fantastic experience: I've been going to Matt for over 30 years, and I highly recommend him.

Negative experience: Dr Matt Smith was very professional and provided excellent care. The issue was with the office staff. From the very 1st encounter they were rude and condescending. My questions were responded to with curt and insulting answers. I almost left the 1st day before ever meeting with the doctor, but took the chance. Each visit was uncomfortable to have to speak to the same front desk staff each time at check in. So I said as little as possible as I had pain and needed the care. By the 3rd visit I had been waiting for a very important phone call and it rang while I was innthe waiting area. The person behind the desk jumped out of her chair and very offensively said . ..in an empty waiting room , interrupting a critical call that I had been waiting for a return call on -- with a loud voice stated-- "you need to take that out of here now! " ....so I stepped out of the office into the hall ....she than came out into the hall....interrupting the call a 2nd time.....and chased me out to the parking lot. This was only my 3rd visit....I had no idea there was a no call policy ( when I went back in...I saw a small little sign on the side of the counter that said no calls (easily missed) and she simply could have politely informed me after the very short call (especially since there was literally no one in the office)...of the policy....had I known...I surely would not have answered my phone in the office...I would have stepped out first. After that 2nd stressful encounter..all in the effort of getting help for my back and neck pain amd inflammation...I canceled the next appointment....just to decide what to do going forwardand if I needed to look for a different chiropractor ....then today I called the office about payments they took from my bank account thst were not authorized.....My insurance covers and manipulation but not therapy or the initial exam. So I paid with my bank card $100 for the initial exam and $24 for 2 ice packs at the first visit. There was never any further discussion or approval for additional payments but I discovered today that there were 3 additional payments taken if $25 each at the 3 appointments.....I asked what those charges were for, because they were never discussed or authorized by me. They just used the same card. She stated ..."It was for therapy" ....I said please tell me what part of my treatment was "therapy " .. There was a table that stretched my back and manual manipulation of the spine by the doctor. This is all fully covered by the insurance. She then stated the table stretching device was "therapy" ....I then later verified that that device is included as paid for by insurance. She became loud and disrespectful again with me. Also, when I asked if I signed anything authorizing them to continue to bill my card without communication or approval from me....she said no ....and then proceeded to lie and try to tell me that someone always asks on the way out..."can we bill the card on file" . That absolutely never happened either....and that was a flat out lie..There was NEVER and explanation thst they would be continuing to charge my card.....and no words at all at any time when I feel leaving, no explanation of any additional charge, or authorization to bill the card. This was a very stressful experience....but the Dr Smith himself was very nice. I went there because of the excellent reviews... And was very disappointed with the treatment I received by the employees...It may just have been that the front desk employees took a dislike to me.on the 1st day....and kept it going....either way...what took place was 100% NOT acceptable.....today I canceled all of my future appointments as well. I also called the bank to report this and the bank said they had set my bank card for recurring payments ...(also with no authorization). The bank canceled that as well..

Fantastic experience: If you have sciatica going down a leg or even just lower back pain in general, look no further. 2 weeks ago my back was in complete shut down mode… pain was unbearable. I can confidently say that 2 weeks into treatment with Dr. Smith has worked wonders for me, and I feel like I finally have control of my life again. There’s still some work to go, but I am very pleased with the progress we’ve made so far!

Fantastic experience: I went to Urgent Care and found out I had a pinched nerve in my neck. I was put on steroids but had no relief. After being in debilitating pain for 5 days, I found them online on a Saturday; filled out a request for an appointment. On Sunday, I received a phone call from them to come in for an appointment on Monday morning. Dr. Smith assisted me with finding pain relief which worked. I informed him that I was seeing my ortho doctor and he requested that I ask for another round of steroid and some pain medication. At my ortho appointment, I told the doctor I was seeing a chiropractor and told him my requests. He told me that he would put on an anti-inflammatory and to go to physical therapy. I realized that I wasn't going to be heard. Saw Dr. Smith told him I was going to switch doctors, but I was going to stay with his treatment plan and with his practice. He was able to get me out of pain and I truly believe I would still be excruciating pain if he didn't help me. I actually gave Dr. Smith a hug for helping me. Fabulous, very kind and understanding. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was due to have surgery and a friend recommended Smith Chiropractic and i set up an appointment, got right in a few days later. I saw Dr. Matt, very nice guy. I had suffered for almost 6 months with pain in my neck and left arm and the pain went away after just 2 visits. No surgery needed! Thank God! Very pleasant people! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I had a falling accident a month before I decided to see a Chiropractor, hoping that my lower pain would eventually go away. When I first arrived at the office I could barely stand, walk or put pressure on my left leg which I thought was coming from my left hip. Fantastic experience: I went to several specialists about my severe back pain and got several tests done, but no one could give me a diagnosis. However, when I went to Dr. Matt Smith, he took one look at me and knew what was wrong and why it did not show up on tests. My sessions are so helpful and he is SO nice and friendly! After an evaluation, I was treated for a "common" problem and had a good understanding thanks to Dr. Matt's explanations. His treatments have been gentle and effective. Fantastic experience: After seeing an orthopedic MD at Ortho NY and having an MRI at Saratoga Hosptial for terrible pain in my right hip that, as I learned, was radiating from my lower spine, I was referred to Dr. Matt Smith at Smith Chiropractic. Sceptical but in pain I was willing to try anything. My diagnosis from my MRI was severe spinal stenosis and I was quite depressed about it. I asked Dr. Smith, is this kind of pain something that I am just going to have to live with for the rest of my life? He assured me that it was not, and so far I will definately say that he was right. There are no miracles when you have spinal stenosis but with Dr. Smiths treatments and the recommendations that he has given me for exercising, stretching and iceing at home, my back, and other parts of my body associated with my back have not felt this good in years. As a matter of fact I mentioned to Dr Smith that my golf game has been better than ever the last few weeks. Coincidence? Well who knows, but actually I don't think so. Thanks Dr. Smith, I'll keep working on what I have learned, and keep up the treatments, as I believe my life has been drastically changed for the better.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this practice. I had the occasion to become a patient of Smith Chiropractic due to a neck injury that resulted in pain and tingling in my arm that had become rather disabling. After a reasonable number of visits to Smith Chiropractic the pain was relieved and the arm and neck were totally functional and I was able to resume my normal activity. As an avid tennis player I appreciate Dr. Smith's ability to relate to the love of the game/sport. I had such a positive result that I recommended this office to my daughter for her back injury and she had a very positive outcome as well. Not only is the physical treatment a winner but the office functions like a well oiled machine. I have never experienced a long wait time or not been able to get a suitable appointment time when the occasional need for a tweak arises due to an unexpected injury due to playing tennis. There is a true respect for the patients time. There have been many times that I could attend an appointment on my lunch hour due to the efficiency that is carried out in the office.

Since Dr. Smith took care of a very painful knee problem my wife had, six months prior, I thought I would go to him before going to an orthopedic doctor. Because he is correcting my central nervous system it is also remedying another issue (RLS) that I have been to my doctor for with no relief. Fantastic experience: Dr. Smith was very professional our first meeting. He took the time to give me a thorough evaluation, explained to me what it is that he does, what I had going on and how he was going to help me. My first Chiro session consisted of gentle stretching and pressure, nothing was forced to be popped and nothing made me painful. Since going my sessions consist of a little more stretching then the last time. I'm more comfortatble riding my horses and doing my day to day tasks. I'm not icing and taking medication nearly as much as i was before. I dont think I'll ever be pain free, but the extra comfort that he has provided me makes me extremly grateful and happy!
