Negative experience: Don’t ever schedule with CLAUDIA SLOAN. She was very rude and unprofessional.
Positive experience: I want to say outright for any people who may be looking to receive trans healthcare here to look elsewhere. The woman who was able to competently manage hormones recently moved out of state and the woman who took up the mantle in her stead has done her level best to be a roadblock for my fiancé to get the medication that he needs. I'm lucky enough to have figured out a regimen with the former medical professional and she does a fine enough job with continuing to prescribe what I already had. However. She doesn't seem to understand that she does nothing but harm when pushing back an urgent medication change out of an overabundance of caution means that we're waiting at minimum three months for the next soonest availability to see her. It has been an extremely frustrating time trying to have our needs met. I'd recommend giving telehealth a try if you can. There are so many better trans health doctors to be found in this state. Good luck.
Fantastic experience: Dr Atkinson is an amazing dentist He made me feel safe and comfortable along with his attendee. It's been quite a few years since I've gone to the dentist. I've had bad experiences with previous dentists. But Dr Atkinson by far is the best and I will continue to go to him for all my dentist work. The ladies in the office are also amazing. Extremely friendly clean and professional I can't wait to get my teeth cleaned and my cavities filled. thank you very much Dr Atkinson for helping me get my smile back
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU’RE A MENTAL HEALTH PATIENT. I had gone in for my eating disorder, and had issues with the care team not replying to my insurance with a diagnosis for the prescription. They shifted the blame to my insurance for why the prescription didn’t go through. Then they told me that my eating disorder is “not a critical medical need” and told me they won’t give me a different prescription. They told me to try changing my diet or consulting a counselor, which is what I had been doing for the last five years. And then they told me to try a different doctor. This is how they treat their mental health patients. I have receipts of the conversation and will be reporting it to patient advocacy. I severely do not recommend going to this clinic for any of your medical needs.
Negative experience: Doctors may be competent, but the phone staff is completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I have spoken to more articulate and helpful people at fast food restaurants than these people.
Negative experience: In a terrible medical experience, the nurse just needed to do a simple blood draw, but she stirred in my arm with a needle. The second blood draw even dropped the needle on the ground, picked it up and continued to be used for me. This is completely wrong, very unhygienic. Now I have a large bruise on my arm and some small wounds. I feel hurt.

Negative experience: I Scheduled 3 weeks out to check out a concerning mass, set it up so I can come in late from work which is costing me money so that I can have someone take my care and health seriously, I am literally the first person to walk into the building. I waited 45 minutes before walking up to the desk only to find out the doctor wasn't even in for the scheduled appointment, it'll take me weeks to be seen again and in that time I may get worse or better who knows. Than they expect me to come back mid work day and lose more money because they can't do their jobs right. Why not just say when I ch3ck in that there has been a mistake, why not when your calling the day before mention there might be a mix up instead of making me late for work with nothing to show about it. This office just gets worse and worse and I feel like my health isn't even taken seriously there by the people I pay to do it. If yoy want your health taken seriously, if you think you need help or want professional care this isn't the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I had an easy time scheduling, zero wait time, Dr.Lowe was amazing! She listened to my concerns, health goals and reasoning for wanting to try a new medication. She educated me on all the possible side effects and had extensive blood work done before deciding I would be a great candidate for the med. Nothing but positive things to say about her! Edit: she listened to me and helped my first appointment but after my insurance stopped covering a medication without a PA she did not help me and basically told me I was SOL. My friend has the same exact insurance and her doctor was able to submit a PA and get it approved within 2 days. I had to find a new doctor in order to get help.
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. The doctors and nurses, kind, caring, and attentive. I moved to puyallup and still come here for my primary care appointments.
Fantastic experience: Friendly employees. They have masks and hand sanitizer at the entrance for patients' use. Prompt service: we didn't have to wait long at all. Good amount of parking.

Positive experience: Front desk staff was nice and helpful, provider was behind and was rushed through the appointment which isn't typical for that provider. He made sure to apologize and to address my concerns and explain things when I messaged after the appointment.

Negative experience: Awful service. Tried to see Doctor Adrianna for months, only to get canceled on the day before my appointment, had to book out ANOTHER 2 months. Finally get to my appointment after driving an hour to the office, waited in line for 5 minutes to check in and was told “It’s only a 15 minute appointment and you’re late so you’re going to have to reschedule”. She refused to fill my anti depressants because i didn’t see her when she was the one who canceled the appointment, sending me into a depressive episode. I will not be returning and I will be finding a new doctor.

Negative experience: Saw Dr. Lowe a few times it was basic service for routine check-ups and nothing exceptional or terrible. I made an appointment to talk about family planning once I knew I was going to start a family. I was approaching 35 and aware of some increase risks and complications. When I asked about options for situations where birth defects might be detected the only words she offered to me was something along the lines of “all these beautiful down syndrome babies aren’t being born because mothers are deciding to abort them”. First of all that was not my question, there are many different issues that could come up and if Down syndrome was one then me and my husband would discuss what we would do. Her biased opinion was unprofessional and she didn’t give me the information I was asking for. So glad I visited before I even attempted to get pregnant and was able to go to another provider who answers my questions in full detail and understands that me and my family can make our best informed decisions. I’m currently 6 weeks and love my new doctors who are supportive and know if any complications do occur they will give me ALL the details the good and the bad and let me decide how to handle my pregnancy.
Fantastic experience: I've seen Dr Adriana Taseva before and now she is my father's PCP. She is attentive, answers all my questions, and even calls me when she needs to update me on prescriptions that are having an adverse interaction. Dr Taseva is a fantastic doctor! The nurses are warm and helpful. The front desk staff is nice and it's easy to check-in and get your paperwork completed. The phlebotomists are conscientious of the patient's needs and strive to make the patient have a positive experience. I personally have not had long waiting times before my scheduled appointment. I can't comment on the other practitioners, as I haven't seen them.
Fantastic experience: They always work with me. I had an appt today and got lost along the way. No problem to reschedule. Always polite and very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Wanted to leave a shout-out to Heidi, she took blood samples and it was the best experience. She got my blood the first try which has never happened to me before. She was very sweet, gentle and made me feel safe.

Negative experience: This place is horrible. Covid test took 8 days to come back then 1 hour wait for a blood draw when it was scheduled for a certain time. Run away, go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: In 2015 I almost died!! I had Pulmonary Embolisms on my lungs and a couple other issues. After my stay at the hospital I started going to pchs in Bremerton for INR and my dr was Dr Kassam. She was a great Dr who really cared and supported her patients. She was a tough luv Drwhich was good bcuz I feel we needed it .. Everybody knew me and I knew them. From the Pharmacy staff to the front desk and the nurses my favorite nurse was Julie❤she was and is a caring sweet person that takes good care of the patients. Sherry, Jen, Petty, Kelsie, Joseph has been so good to me for my INRs always treat me so kind. Its been 6 yrs now and they have all kept me to where I am today❤i luv them all. % great care

Positive experience: My sister has been having a major issue with her ribs. It's been going on way to long and the doctor she sees there just wants to throw pills at her. She has been going to this same doctor for over 3 years now and HE HASN'T DONE A DAMN THING FOR HER BUT PUSH PILLS THAT ARE NOT HELPING HER AT ALL. SHE NEEDS A BETTER DOCTOR AND A 2ND OPINION.

Negative experience: I wouldn't get prescriptions filled here If you want them on time even if you have a scheduled refill. (Totally breaks my rights as a patient) The lady who answers the phone always seems to have an attitude.They dont care that it will make you seriously sick if you run out. I will be taking my health buisness elsewhere. Seriously feel let down by them.

Positive experience: My appointment was very routine just a check up! But what surprised me was why they feel the need to ask questions that have nothing to do with my health. Do I own a gun? How many do I have? But nobody asked about my stool habits but want me to get colonoscopy? I’m not trying to say they aren’t great Dr and Nurses I’m am just confused why it’s not all about me and my health?

Fantastic experience: I'm adding an updated review on top of the old one since I don't want to delete that original review. My wife and I continue to see our primary care providers here. My PCP, Anthony Lyon-Loftus, PA-C and Associate Medical Director, is probably the finest diagnostician I've ever worked with. The length and breadth of his knowledge base continues to amaze me. I love his manner and personality, too, since I feel it's a match for mine. He listens to me. He's quick to schedule diagnostic and lab tests as necessary. He's given me a referral to every specialist I've requested and to one's he felt I should see for more advanced diagnostics and treatment of certain issues. He's a great man who's earned my respect over the nine years or so that he's been my PCP. My wife's PCP is Danielle Daehnke, PA-C, who she likes as much as I like Tony. Danielle has proven to be a PCP my wife trusts implicitly. She listens to my wife and answers all questions. She'll quickly schedule lab and diagnostic tests as well as referrals to specialists as necessary. I've been to a lot of medical facilities and seen lots of doctors over my life. I know that my wife and I are getting high quality medical care here. We will never go anywhere else. ORIGINAL REVIEW First, I'm grateful to be living in Washington state. Secondly, I'm grateful for having chosen this PCHS for our medical care provider. Governor Inslee took the COVID-19 pandemic seriously from the first reports of it starting in our state (we didn't yet know California had preceded us). Because of this our state has all the vaccines the feds will send us. Now I read stories from across the nation over how difficult to impossible it is for people to find a vaccine site or to even qualify. I have a friend in Nebraska who has no idea when vaccines will be available there. And this is why I'm grateful to PCHS. They have proactively been contacting their current patients to virtually strongarm us into getting a vaccine when we become eligible. They send an email or they call you--here's the time and dates available, which works best for you? They are determined that all their patients will be vaccinated and protected. I don't know of any other medical organization doing this but there could be. THANK YOU to all of PCHS! We are all very lucky to have you here. It's not too much of a stretch to say that many of us will owe our lives to you. Both my wife and I have our 1st COVID vaccine doses. I get my 2nd dose in two days, she gets her 2nd in three weeks. Looks like we'll be hanging around each other a whole lot longer.

Positive experience: Lillian was very helpful. She wasted no time giving me a referral to have an ultrasound done and sent a referral over to general surgery. I had a call from the surgery center where I scheduled my 1st apt. Today I had my ultrasound; within less than 2 hours, Lillian had emailed me with the results. I'm very greatful to her

Positive experience: Concerning COVID-19: They were being all careful about coronavirus... Checking symptoms for incoming patients, having a sign saying you need to wear a mask, having the social distancing stickers on the floor... but then the woman who checked me in and took my weight and blood pressure wasn't wearing her mask over her nose the entire time, and actually removed her mask for a while we were discussing the reason for my visit. What??? Why???

Negative experience: Dr. Tessler or whatever her name is is not a good doctor at all she denied my bfs refills on his medication knowing he can get very sick and die if he doesn't have his heart pills.. switch ur doctor if u have her. She is also very rude and judgemental. She doesnt care about her patients or she wouldnt deny important medication

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at other public health centers and these folks are great. They are clear and informative and the support team is tops. Don’t forget that there are lots of services offered and if you’re feeling any sort of a way... tell. your. doctors! With this group we caught my cancer well in advance and they’ve been so supportive and my care has been put in the hands of professionals that I can trust.

Negative experience: Worst experience EVER! The Nurse Practitioner, Margaret Lowe, was beyond rude and condescending. She minimized all of my concerns and did NOTHING to address them. Then she made a false report, in which she claimed that there was “no evidence” of the very rare and concerning type of bleeding that I am experiencing and that she saw with her own eyes. Her report stated that I complained about the bleeding and she failed to report that she saw it firsthand. I eventually asked to speak with a doctor, because she was not providing the help that I needed, and she stormed out of the room. Peninsula is asking for a lawsuit, allowing people like Margaret Lowe to “treat” their patients.

Negative experience: The pharmacy in belfair is normally great but today the guy working in there could care less about customers everything is on his time not yours. With nobody In the place he still made me wait over 30 minutes when he knew I was late for work and I still didn’t get my medications I had to leave so I did and had him send them to port or hard while he kept smirking the whole time.

There are so many external forces that factor into delays, it really is a balancing act to keep everything running on time. Things like traffic delays, internet slow downs, if a patient that came in for one reason turned into something more serious and time consuming, someone may have had a medical event in the lobby or if we were waiting on lab results all contribute to delays. But you are correct - we should have done a better job of communicating with you that we were running behind and provided options. Your feedback is greatly appreciated as it lets us know when and where we have areas that need improvement. We hope you understand and will give us another chance.
