Aviva Health is an independent, board-governed, not-for-profit organization that cares for the people of Douglas County by providing high-quality, patient-centered, accessible and affordable medical, dental and behavioral health care, regardless of their ability to pay. Aviva Health offers integrated services from 10 clinic sites in Roseburg, Myrtle Creek, Sutherlin, Glide and North Douglas County (Drain), including a Teen Health Center located on the campus of Roseburg High School. Reproductive and women's health, mobile medical, and vaccination services are aIso offered. In partnership with CHI Mercy Medical Center, Aviva Health also serves as the family medicine practice site for the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency Program.

Fantastic experience: Ok ill try to keep this short. Started campaign to get the cracked molar pulled with advantage they decided lower wisdom needed pulling first. I won't go into detail about advantage other than they told me they got it all. I could tell something was wrong because I had a painful lump that remained on my jaw. When I asked about it I was told it's normal. I fired advantage and came to Aviva they take xrays and discover 4 pieces of bone remaining asked if I was aware of it. Showing genuine concern. No advantage told me they got it all but xray clearly showed 3 root tipsbroken off instead of extracted.. so they were the painful lump. Now they needed to look at xrays advantage took. Only 4 or 5 requests over a two week period were ignored and Aviva got ahold of the right person and requested them on my behalf. Aviva even took new xrays to verify them when the ones advantage sent were unreadable. Refered me to Dr. Savage in Grants pass. Very nice and personable. Taking the time to address any concerns I had and in 2 months time would be surgery I asked to be put on the cancelation list. They did call me once to offer a spot but I live 2 hours away so couldn't make that visit. So my appointment arrived and Dr. Savage was very good. He was quick and efficient. Removing the impacted wisdom tooth and the unexposed wisdom tooth. Sewed me up and I was out of there in about 2 hours. Of course I bled profusely from the extraction sites for a day. Puking up blood but getting through it they had given me a dozen narcos. Which I was told would be 7.5s I have scoliosis and after several car wrecks I've built a tolerance to opiates. I explained that to them and was promised 7.5s I just trusted them. But when I was at the pharmacy blood caked on my lips and mouth full of gauze in excruciating pain as the numbing shots wore off. I called back to ask if I needed to return the 5s? They said no just take 2. I'm on other beds and taking 2 5s upsets my stomach so they did call in 6 other 7.5s. So Aviva was as professional as it gets. I would suggest them to anyone going to advantage. Aviva gets you in instead of making you wait 4 months. I would add 1 caution. To anyone getting major dental surgery in oregon. Because I was prescribed the dozen norco 5s and 6 7.5s. I was told they could no longer fill my Xanax that ive been on for 4 years.and Adapt just cut me off of my Xanax because I admitted to them beforehand and after that I was given a few narcos. So be prepared to lose any other important meds you may be taking. Idk why ill not be receiving refills on the narcos. But all in all Aviva has been wonderful for dental work. I will highly recommend them to anyone.
Fantastic experience: I have liked all the doctors that i have had here they have been good to me before moving on
Negative experience: My daughter had a dentist appt at aviva I talked to them last month and there were getting her Ohp switched to them and that she was all good.... I took time off today to take her to her scheduled appt and they refused to see us because they in fact did not call Ohp .... and no one decided to tell me this before her appt.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t take a dead dog here, I told them I’ve been taking so much ibuprofen and Tylenol that I’m close to overdosing and I’m in so much pain and can’t sleep for 4 days and than they prescribe me more ibuprofen and synthetic cortisol that made my heart rate hit 140 definitely helps me sleep and helps my throbbing face, made me in twice as much pain
Negative experience: For a family practice place this place is horrible. We live 50minutes from there and showed up 7 minutes late due to bad weather and traffic back ups and was turned away. Most places have a grace period to allow of those kind of things

Positive experience: To start off with the dentist was great very gentle and helped ease my fear.. but 6 days later in pain they weren't open so went to hospital they gave me antibiotics and said make sure to see your dentist so they could help me better.so I called first thing because mouth throbbing and have sores on gums the lady who answered said no to appointment because it's normal to have throbbing pain and sores .so there great when and if you get to see them but you will get no after care

Negative experience: I have a 35 year old son with cerebral palsy, he is confined to a wheelchair, and requires oxygen when sleeping, he's had 4 sleep studies done since October 2023 and here we are 10 months later and due to lack of communication between lincare medical and his doctor he still hasn't received the care that he needs, I took him in for another appt. Last week, and they said because I was 10 mins. Late they couldn't see him. I tried to explain that because he's in a power chair I have to rely on a medical ride which they were running late. What's messed up is they expect him to wait almost a year for oxygen, but they couldn't wait 10 mins. To see him. I've been dealing with doctors his whole life and I have to say this is the worst clinic. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has any long term medical issues.
Fantastic experience: All the staff are amazing at Aviva Dental clinic and lab. I have been ashamed of my self for neglecting my oral health for years, in spite of the fact that I had pretty good insurance for most of my life. They were all kind and caring. Shout out to Julie,Olympia & Leann I wish I could remember everybody else names but they were all awesome!

Negative experience: I'm not sure how people are writing that the doctor's and staff are nice. That's a joke. When I go with my husband for his 6 month check up, he is dirty because it's late and he is a hard working man and he doesn't have time to run home and get fancied up. The nurses literally treat him like dirt. When the doctor came in she seemed really appalled by this. She literally would not touch him, she didn't check his vitals, listen to his heart or his lungs. And this is a man with CHF. Didn't ask him how he was feeling, check pulse. Nothing. Everytime I fill out his paperwork and put myself down as a person to share info, the paperwork always gets lost. The secretary's are always rude and unwilling to help. The only part of this facility that is actually nice, are the two young ladies in dental. And another couple in referrals. Other than that, all we get is the run around and grumpy old cracks that would rather be anywhere but Aviva health. I feel most are there for a paycheck instead of helping the community

Fantastic experience: I come to Aviva for many reasons. Though I've had several dental appointments canceled last minute, I do like the staff and I've never felt more comfortable and cared for at a dental office in my entire life. Upstairs, the ladies at the front desk usually know me by name as soon as they see my face at the medical office as I was seeing them for issues a couple times per week for a few months at one point. Everyone is super friendly. The lab lady with long hair rocks. (I'm terrible with my short term memory, sorry.) Sometimes I have to have tests done that she has never seen before and she spends time doing research to properly understand how much blood to take so that I don't have to come back for more. Once it was 26 vials, so that's not a normal day and it's a lot of paperwork. She was very patient and thorough. She's kinda funny too. The Coumadin/blood thinner management team is amazing and so helpful. For me, the shining star of Aviva is Shannon Suhr NP. I have some extremely rare conditions that Shannon had never seen or even heard of before, and she puts in work!! She has been working with specialists that I see in Eugene as well as in Portland and when those specialists don't even have the answers, she's pushing them for answers so they're having to contact specialty clinics all over the country. With Shannon, she's my comfort zone. I trust her with my care even when we're learning what I need together. I know that she wants to make sure that I'm not in pain, she wants to make sure that I'm getting as much quality air as possible and am living my best life. Shannon works from the heart in her field, and I'm so grateful to have found her since moving to Oregon in 2020. I just hope that she never leaves. Thank you for everything, Aviva!!

Positive experience: While I greatly like my primary care physician and her staff (I couldn’t ask for better people to care for me,) when she asks to see me in a month due to many things I’m going through and the front desk says “two months, tough luck” this isn’t very professional of the scheduling people. Especially if the appointment can be cancelled and pushed out another two months not by any of my own doing. My partner asked to see the same doctor as a new patient and they gave him a sooner appointment. This place needs to greatly work on improving their scheduling.

Negative experience: Been on hold for 20 minutes now. That is insane. It’s like this every time I have to schedule. I end up having to try another day but every day is like this. And I know they arnt that busy there’s always never more than 2 people in the waiting room.
Fantastic experience: We’ve loved Aviva health. Our pediatrician, Shelly, has been wonderful so we decided to move my children’s dental care over there as well. Our hygienist, Kathy, was the best my girls have ever had! She put my girls at ease and had them laughing within a few minutes. She also answered my questions as well. I highly recommend Aviva health for any pediatric patients!

Negative experience: Well it only took two years to get a referral to see an allergist. I finally had my appointment yesterday... Thanks to one competent Dr. Nathan Andrews... I'll be filing a claim for pain & suffering & willful medical negligence & malpractice
Negative experience: Apparently I'm one of many previous patients who has many rants about the inept staffing & resident physicians. I'm in the legal process of filing a formal grievance with lots of substantial documentation of medical neglect & malpractice.... Worst pharmacy ever... Too bad is tax paying Americans have to fork out so much for such a beautiful facility that is taken over by bias inadequate medical and dental care... Zero stars if I could .
Negative experience: Let’s just say the “Social Work” the lady does is all one sided and she doesn’t take things seriously. The visit there left me speechless that I would be talked to in that manner. Shes very condescending and has zero empathy. The way she talked to my partner and I was very degrading. I thought social workers are supposed to help you and not hinder you in life or situations? I won’t ever go here and I will steer my family and friends far away from this place.

Negative experience: Horrible. The staff doesn't seem to care or even at least pretend to care! It's a medical facility, you would think there would be some compassion. Nope. Every time I come here they just shuffle me along as fast as possible. They change my doctor every couple months, which gets very frustrating! I've only been late once and it was less than 10 minutes and they made me reschedule. I am so sick of the crappie experience here! I'm looking for a different place!!! I do not recommend coming here.

Fantastic experience: The dental has been amazing on helping me get my daughters braces going. I have an idea. I would like to share with you. There are so many unbelievable secretaries, nurses and doctors. Every time a patients has something good to say about one of your employees. You should have a little puffy Rose to put on there name tag so they know that they are appreciated. I just thought that was a good idea.

Negative experience: I have tried for over a week now to get a message to my dr about some new meds he gave me, I needed further instructions, but could not get in contact with him the nurse who was helping me said he had not been in the clinics? I couldn’t proceed with the new meds until I talk to him, this isn’t the first time I have wanted to talk to my dr only to not be able too, something needs to be done about this it’s not right that I can’t get in touch with my dr. I came to a Iva for a new dr, I finally found one I really liked we connected only to be told you guys weren’t keeping her it was dr snell: I really liked her so I was given dr Sarmast I like him but I can’t get in touch with him. I am not happy thinking of going back to evergreen. Rosie

Fantastic experience: Sarah gave me my H D flu shot today. First time ever I did not feel anything, nothing. And I've had a few of them. My Dr listened to me I had recently lost my Gurl, 16 tabby, she comforted me instead of rushing me and she was busy. Gr8 clinic.

Negative experience: They violate HIPPA. Have PDF of proof. Have call into corporate. Waiting for call back. Will update with how it's handled. UPDATE after call back: No apology offered. No process change. Nothing. Second update: filed HIPPA complaint. OCR sent letter substantiating claim and said they will address it internally with additional training, but if they receive another complaint similar then they will open a formal investigation. Yet somehow, the damage is still done and I have no other recourse against st this negligent doctors office.

Fantastic experience: They do a great job everything in one place and they care and try to take care of you in supporting whatever health changes there is I recently got out of the hospital and am now a diabetic and they have tried to help me get adjusted and spent the time to inform me get a diet plan and recipes for my condition and got me back on time at 1045 and even worked through their lunch break to make sure they gave me enough things to survive until my next appointment and gave me phone numbers just in case I needed something in between I am a fan

Fantastic experience: This is in my opinion the best clinic in or near Roseburg. A very nice selection of doctors. They usually leave after their residency is complete but they are great while here. My Doctor Lacey Shreve is so kind to me and I can tell she really cares.

Negative experience: Went to the Roseburg office for a nurse visit to verify a UTI which I've never had one before, but know you need antibiotics. My regular office didn't have an available provider today. Anyway, I told the nurse and the girl she was training my pharmacy closed at 6 (it was 4:45 at the time). Got all the way back to Myrtle Creek to find out they didn't send it in. I called the Roseburg office around 540 after standing in line and finding out all of this. Then the person says they can't reach anyone they must have went home. Are you kidding me? You mean to tell me I should have saved my time, child care, and fuel money to go to my regular office tomorrow. Not to mention not being able to start antibiotics until tomorrow afternoon- evening due to the fact I have to be at work! I do like my regular office, BUT I would NEVER recommend the Roseburg office.

Negative experience: I was asked to come in at 2 to check in even though I did it on my phone. My appointment was supposed to be at 220. Well it's 315 and I'm still sitting here waiting to be seen. I'll be leaving soon and not returning again. Horrible experience! Nobody even came in to say it's gonna take longer.

Fantastic experience: Aviva doctors are comprehensive in all aspects of care and have exceptional standards far-reaching of most (typical) small town clinics. They also have new and state-of-the-art equipment and technology. I was impressed that they all confer and discuss together the best plan of treatment so that if one of the senior supervising staff has an objection or better insight and experience...they can pass it on to the PCP. After a terrible experience with Evergreen Urgent Care and also my one appointment with the only available PCP who was grossly misinformed and incompetent... I was so relieved to finally get into Aviva! Had to wait nearly 2 months but it was so worth it. They have everything from specialty care, dentistry, OBGYN, pediatrics, a lab, and their own pharmacy too. Dr. Ashna and his supervisor Dr. Bloomstein were kind, considerate/courteous, open to ideas (I have a medical background so tend to be extremely picky!) and did not rush or dismiss me. ❣️️❣️

Fantastic experience: It was my first time there since the remodel, it looks great clean, easy to find where you need to be. The room I was in is very roomy with 2 chairs for "family" the table chair thingy was very comfy and it takes your weight. My intake was great I had a newbie who did great. Dr was nice and listened to me asked ne questions and did an actual hands on check. "Like they used to.. way back when"

Fantastic experience: I received wonderful treatment from all parties this morning. From the front desk of whom was clear and kind. To the the nurse that was thorough and professional, and funny. And most of all the bedside treatment from Dr. Shreve. She is very thorough, and treats the whole patient. She doesn't exhibit prejudgement, she is kind , personable, resourceful and follows up on everything. I recommend this Dr! You go Team!!!!

Fantastic experience: I've had the great pleasure of three highly qualified,caring doctors. All have been the greatest. My current doctor, Dr B. Is wonderful. She takes the time to explain my health care in ways I can understand. I feel she cares. I trust her knowledge in treating my health care needs. I leave my appointment wanting to try and do what she tells me to do. I don't think I could make it sometimes without the care from a few of these doctors, I could make it but with the help I got, it's a lot better. I also want to mention Kim Stevens. I will always be thankful for the care she gave me. The other doc was Dr. G. He to was amazing along with Dr.B and Dr. Kim. The staff have all been courteous and helpful.. so I get five stars. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing staff! Had to have a wisdom tooth extracted but I don’t have a regular dentist. I called them and Summer was incredibly kind and offered me to come in as a standby patient. She was honest that I may not be seen but very encouraging that they would do what they could to help. She was genuinely concerned. I was very lucky, as they only had one dentist on duty but saw me in about an hour. Dr. Jordan (who is a new doctor there) was absolutely incredible. He was genuine in his care for my situation, friendly, and very professional. He and his assistant (I wish I could remember her name) did an outstanding job every step of the process. The front desk staff were also extremely professional and helpful. I am so grateful for their help. I have found an exceptional dental office and doctor to go to for my regular oral health. Thank you guys! Would give you over five stars if google allowed.

Fantastic experience: I love my doctor at Aviva Health ( Dr. Kanani Dilcher). She’s a great doctor and the clinic is super easy to find !! I think she’s very knowledgeable, kind , has a great way with her patients , always willing to answer any questions I might have…the best personality and takes the time to listen if I have any concerns about myself !!! I wouldn’t trade her for anyone else ❤️

Fantastic experience: I loved my doctor but he left the area. It took 6 months to get into the office but when I finally did I had reservations not knowing who my new PCP was. I was a bit anxious but everyone has been so nice and helpful in the office each time ive gone there. Today was no different. Once I met my PCP I can’t even begin to express how happy I was ! She is one of the gems in this county and I am so lucky to have the chance to call her my PCP. I have had a terrible time with most of the Drs in this county. I’ve worked in the medical field for most of my adult life, and have been disappointed with the so called physicians around here. But I can say I’m impressed, relaxed , excited, and happy to belong to Aviva Health as a patient. They listen and then do ! What doctors are supposed to do. ! Thank you Dr Blumenstein! I’ve had a very hard time because of my dx. - NOT ANY MORE

Negative experience: This place was the Dr. office to have when they first opened. Now. Not so much. Their biggest priority seems to be bleeding our pocketbooks. Now you need a separate appointment for everything you want to talk about with a Dr. Seperate billing seperate appointment, additional charge. Kiss your health savings accout good bye.

Fantastic experience: For me the most important thing about a physician is their ability to listen to me as a person as well as patient. We are all very different individuals and it can be hard to fully comprehend what our needs are. I’m sure especially in the medical field where so many of us go thru the office on a daily basis. Dr. Fischer has done an exemplary job in every way when I have seen him. He’s good at his occupation and you can tell he enjoys what he does. I am grateful to have him as my physician and will do all that I can to keep it that way. As for the facility and the other staff omg they work together well as a team while handling every one with respect and understanding with a smile on their face. And the phlebotomist is with out a doubt a wizard. I had I think 13 vials drawn at once and she was more than up to the task. Leaving me with zero marks and no bruising. Plus she is a very good conversationalist which help put a person at rase if they are nervous.

Fantastic experience: This was my first experience at Aviva and I was pleasantly surprised. The facility is much larger than expected and is very clean and well kept. The staff were all wonderful and the doctor spent a lot of time with me. He even walked me out. Glad to be a new patient at this facility.

Fantastic experience: Best I've ever had medical professionals treat a child with disabilities. Dr. Wells and her staff take the time and give extra care to make sure my child is comfortable. Their waiting room is very genius in size, he runs in circles for about 5minutes stoping at the toys off and on before being seen; and it's so big he's not bothering or running into anyone or anything! 11/10

Fantastic experience: Dr. Benakanakere and the Entire staff at Aviva is/are Amazing. Dr Benakanakere, takes care of business and ensures that you, the patient, are taken care of! Believe me, she cares; quite an unusual trait in todays culture.I am treated with care and respect & above all the doctors truly care. There is Not a medical facility in Douglas County that can come close to the quality of Aviva! Period!

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal staff, very thorough when it comes to caring and making sure you understand. Quick wait times, in fact I never even sat in lobby. Not to mention gorgeous atmosphere and even a pharmacy right there for convenience. Even the water fountain is high tech and all fancy refrigerated ionized.

Fantastic experience: The doctor I had today was totally awesome. She had a great personality and Bed side manner, listened to the everything I had to say and answered all questions I had. Negative experience: The staff at Aviva is extremely unhelpful. Doctor cancels on me then they tell me they can’t reschedule me but for 3 months out. You ask to speak with someone else they give you a number you call that get a voicemail of how they will call the next day and never hear back. Mentally I am crashing was basically screaming for help and they just shut me out and ignored me. You are dealing with people here, you must have some compassion in this field, not just let people be in pain or die simply because there just money to you.

Fantastic experience: Appointment was within a week, called back to see the doctor on time. He was awesome with our 9 year old. We got the diagnosis and on our way in perfect timing. Very pleasant environment and our kiddo made use of the waiting room!

Fantastic experience: I do not have faith in Doctors for the past 2 years and had more frustration with my old Dr. I switch to Aviva Health and im happy that my dr listen to me and than we set a plan. So far I'm happy with my switch.
