Fantastic experience: My golden retriever and I went to maximum canine for private lessons. Jimmy was our instructor . He was very caring and gentle with my dog. He was knowledgeable and patient . He has given us the tools to work on training in an effective manner. I would definitely recommend maximum canine and jimmy as a very qualified instructor. My golden is listening much better to me and I definitely see an improvement. This is an on going learning process . We will continue with the lifetime lessons at maximum canine. We also had Morgan for two lessons and she was very patient and helpful also.

Fantastic experience: My australian eskimo Marvin was really reactive and aggressive with dogs, especially when on leash. He had a 3 week board and train with Rosemarie after taking a few private lessons with Jim. Both trainers are amazing. He is now a completely different dog. We couldn’t even get off our lawn and now we can walk around our neighborhood at ease. Marvin is still the same happy dog, but now more obedient. They taught me everything I need to know to keep up with his training confidently. So thankful. (Here’s a pic of Marv they sent me during his stay). Looking forward to continuing our training with their $30 lifetime classes and off-site obedience courses!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to take a moment to commend Toki and the other staff members at Maximum K9 for training and taking care of our girl, Bowie, during her 3 week board & train. Toki really took the time to train us, as owners, to ensure we were set up to successfully carry out Bowie's training at home. Her examples were super clear and really helped to illustrate how dogs come to understand commands. We could not recommend Maximum K9 and Toki enough!

Fantastic experience: Maximum K9 helped us give our little boy a better life. Before bringing Leo to Maximum K9 he would pull on the leash, bark at everyone and every thing (for attention and pets) and would throw attention seeking tantrums when guests came over. He would also bark nonstop in the car. My husband and I decided to enroll him in a 3 week board and train with trainer Rosemarie. She did such an amazing job with him! Our concerns were heard and each and every one of them were addressed and worked on. Now Leo is able to walk in heel, is redirectable and rarely pulls on his leash! We were able to take him to a crowded tree lighting in our town and he walked through the intense crowds with no problem. He can stay in place when guests come over and his tantrums are basically nonexistent. And since he is quiet on car rides now, we take him everywhere we can. We went back to a lifetime class recently and Leo was so excited to see Rosemarie - you could tell she treated him so well in their time together! Thank you Maximum K9 for giving us a well-behaved little man!!

Fantastic experience: i wouldn’t have as strong of a bond and companionship with my puppy, Macie, if it weren’t for Morgan. i decided to do 8 of 1hr private training lessons, and it was an amazing experience. she’s very modest and gives us dog owners so much credit, but she deserves much much more. you can tell how much Morgan loves what she does and how her experience and knowledge has made her an excellent trainer. i’ve never trained a dog before, this is my first puppy as an adult. i was incredibly self conscious and nervous. she’s essentially trained me and my dog. when i was hard on myself, Morgan always reminded me that training and progress was never linear.. (shes right, obviously). she was always available to chat whenever i had any questions in or out of the training facility. at the end of our lessons, Macie has become so well behaved that many people have given compliments on how calm she is or how well she listens to me. a wise person (Morgan) told me that training should be about making life easier to live with your dog and giving you a way to have fun with her. since then, that’s one of the main goals i strive for when spending time with and training Macie. there’s progress to be made and more things to learn, so i look forward to going back to Maximum K9 for more classes and lessons!

Fantastic experience: A simple act of kindness goes a long way. My experience with Maximum K9 thus far has been positive. From my dog's initial evaluation to a nutritional consult, I have been pleased with my interactions. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and kind, but what is really prompting this review; I received a call from Ivan who works in the warehouse. I had placed an order, and he was preparing it. He noticed there was a shipping option that would save me money on future orders, and he called to inform me. He provided recommendations on the best time to order based on my location, as well as the best shipping options to select. He did not have to do that, but he took time out of his day to reach out. This is the kind of customer service that forges lifelong relationship.

Fantastic experience: We had Katie and Kayla work with our dog Ziggy on basic commands/training, reactivity, and just being all around better. They were both wonderful and not only helped our pup, they helped us. Training is very hands on, communication is great, and loved the video updates too! We highly recommend Max K9, Katie and Kayla!

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful experience with Nicole and Maximum K9! She worked really well with our american bulldog, Remy, who has been struggling with some fear aggression towards people and other dogs. We did a mix of in-home sessions and in-facility, and there was a clear improvement in Remy's behavior after just a couple of sessions. We use the Hydrant Hotel for boarding and will definitely be doing refresher sessions whenever Nicole is available and the pups are getting boarded. 10/10 recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I got a German Shepherd puppy and was interested in having him trained. After searching online, I found Maximum Canine in Deer Park and was surprised with all their excellent reviews. I started my pup with training in private lessons with Jim. The experience was excellent and Jim was great very easy to work with and saw a quick improvement! I highly recommend Maximum Canine definitely worth the investment in your dog. Just to add staff was always friendly very easy to deal with and it’s a real professional facility. Again, I give them five stars and highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Maximum Canine and our trainer, Jim, highly enough! His expertise, patience, and personalized approach have made a world of difference in training my dog. He didn’t just train my dog—he taught me how to understand and communicate with my pet more effectively. Every session was informative, hands-on, and tailored to our needs. Jim always took the time to explain techniques thoroughly and provided helpful tips to practice between sessions. The progress we’ve made is remarkable!

Fantastic experience: They're an authorised Ruffland Kennel store, and with a new car, I needed new crates for my dogs. It's hard to find the XL size and it's a 6wk lead time on shipping when I needed them in 2wks or less. Sarah had 2 double doors in stock (woot!), I was able to pre-pay and pick up on the weekend! They also had a wide range of treats, raw food, and working dog supplies in stock. We picked up some treats for our XL boy on the ride home. I may consider training classes in the future despite the long haul out from the city.

Fantastic experience: My dog Modi did a 4 week board and train for dog reactivity and separation anxiety. Maximum k9 was amazing! His trainer Toki was superb, she took the time to bond with him and was great with keeping me updated through the training and explaining how he was being trained! My dog liked her so much that when she left after the drop off session he went right to the door and cried! I highly recommend Toki and Maximum k9 to anyone in need of dog training and I look forward to continuing training at their lifetime classes!

Fantastic experience: Very professional place! Jim is great instructor - we had six private lessons with him for our German Sheppard. After these lessons Daisy became more obedient and self confident. Jim recommended life time classes for further development. We attend them every week. Toki is an instructor and she is also very good

Fantastic experience: Nala did a 3 week board and train with Morgan. I wish I could give more than just 5 stars in my review. Morgan is honest, caring, and meets your dog where they’re at. She understands your dogs needs and will work them through their stress and anxiety. She’s funny and overall a great person. She answered all of my questions and eased the anxiety I had being away from our puppy for 3 weeks. Nala is still her quirky self but much more obedient and her reactivity has decreased significantly. Board and train was an awesome investment but it is just as much on the owners to maintain the work the trainers have put in with your dog. Thank you Morgan and Maximum K9 for putting in the work with Nala and providing us the tools for her to succeed

Fantastic experience: I just finished 9 private 1 on 1 training sessions with Jim. I have a 10 month old German Shepard named Charlie and she went in extremely reactive and unable to be obedient under any sort of distractions. After the 9 sessions, Charlie is a completely different dog. She is amazing. Jim has taught me more in just 2 months than I could have ever imagined and I am extremely grateful for him and Maximum K9. We will he back for more and happy to refer anyone with a dog to this amazing business!

Fantastic experience: We started private training with Morgan when our puppy was 3 months old. Now he is 8 months old doing a 6 week board & train around service dog training, still with Morgan. I wouldn’t trust anywhere else to leave him, the level of communication and updates you receive during the stay makes the process much more comfortable! Seeing how much he has accomplished, and grown since our first session is beyond expectations! Seeing how happy and comfortable he is at Maximum K9 shows how much they truly care. We will continue his training with them for the years to come!

Fantastic experience: Maximum K9 changed our puppy from a fearful, reactive, defiant dog to a confident, well-mannered, GOOD BOY with the Board & Train program. Katie and the team have been fantastic and are still helping us after Drogo has been home. Special shoutout not only to Katie, but Kayla and Will also. Drogo loves and misses all of you! Drogo is an 8-month Cane Corso puppy. When I arrived at the store to drop him off for training, Drogo was lunging and growling at every person who entered. It was dangerous and not to mention embarrassing. I’ve had to leave other dog-friendly places because of the same awful behavior. What a mess we were. When I returned to Maximum K9 for a demo after 2 weeks, Katie and Kayla trained me with Drogo and then took us into the same store, this time more bustling and crowded than at drop-off. Drogo and I were able to walk around calmly, he was not reactive at all, and I was able to put him into a down position and he stayed. It was like I was seeing a DIFFERENT DOG! Wow! I could go on and on with examples and stories and I honestly can’t say enough great things, but the bottom line is that this was one of the best decisions we’ve made and we had an amazing experience. Drogo is a GOOD BOY and he was loved and well cared for by all of the staff. I am now confident and proud to walk with Drogo. I highly recommend Maximum K9 and we will be returning for ongoing classes. Thank you for teaching us and for loving Drogo. We will see you again soon!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about Maximum K9! We recently sent our 8-month old puppy Drogo to Board & Train with Katie as our primary trainer. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made and worth the investment! Katie has been phenomenal and is still answering our questions on a daily basis. Katie, Kayla, and the rest of the team have been nothing short of amazing with training and taking care of him. Drogo has been home for just over a week and he is doing great. Fantastic experience: We took our 4 year old hound/shepard mix pup to Maximum K9 for training, the board and train program. This is the first time we did a board and train, and I must admit we were a little concerned about leaving him for so long. How lucky could we be to get Morgan for his trainer. Her passion and love for dogs is at the top of the chart!! She combines tough love with compassion, and tailors her training based on knowing how our Cooper will best adapt and learn. He now knows and reacts to commands, which helps with his social behavior. When we started the program he was very anxious with new situations, other people, and other dogs. The program exposed him to all of this. It helped him to understand that he can trust 'his person' has his back. Morgan taught us, too! She gave us the tools to work with and 'trained' us to reinforce the commands and actions we want to reward. Its a continuous process, but without Morgan's help we would not have progressed this far. She is a real gem! Even after we completed the board/train program, she did check-ins to see how we were all doing. Her suggestions and guidance have always been extremely helpful! From the moment we walked in, we felt completely confident that our dogs (Oona and Esme) were in great hands. The progress our dogs have made in a short 4 week timeframe was remarkable. They worked on sit, place, heel, leash manners, obedience, socialization to name a few and it was incredible to see the difference when they were brought home. Not only did they come back trained, but extremely happy. The bond they formed with Katie and Kayla was pretty cool to watch and I have never been around better trainers. Fantastic experience: I came to Maximum K-9 after adopting my second dog within a year. With two dogs in the home, it became obvious to me that I needed help training them. Fantastic experience: Joe and RoseMarie at Max K9 are master dog trainers - we boarded our lab for the 4 week program, worked with them in 4 demos and our baby is the best behaved dog we’ve ever had! Of course, we need to stay consistent and continue to work with him, but we now have the confidence to execute our training program thanks to Joe and Rosemarie. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Rosemarie and the Maximum K9 team has made a huge difference in the way that our Standard Bernedoodle acts, walks on a leash, behaves, and listens. It is night and day from the time we dropped her off for board and train to when we picked her up. I would highly recommend Rosemarie and anyone at Maximum to train your dog!!

Fantastic experience: I would like to take the time to thank Joe and his staff at Maximum Canine. From our first evaluation at the Hydrant located in Riverhead we knew we found the right person to work with out dog. Joe explained everything concisely and accurately on his plans to work with our 9 month old out of control working line German shepherd named Azreal. During the six weeks that Maximum boarded him at Deer Park facility , they trained him several times a day. During our several in facility visits we were pleasantly surprised on how well he was behaving and his bad behaviors were gone. Maximum also makes several home visits with the dog to work with the dog in this environment. They work issues that might have been a problem prior but are not any longer due to the Maximum training methods. Even after the dog comes home Joe reaches out via phone to see how everything is going. In conclusion, bringing my dog to Maximum was the best thing we did for our dog. Joe and his staff are top notch. I would highly recommend Maximum to anyone. I have already given the company name and phone number to 3 people. Special shout out to Rosemarie. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Morgan as a dog trainer and the entire staff at Maximum K9. From our first group lesson, it was clear that Morgan made an effort to understand my dog’s individual needs. Lucy is a friendly, excitable, one year old Bernedoodle. Morgan helped me address all of my concerns in our private lessons as well as a recent 10 day board and train. Morgan strikes the perfect balance between being stern and kind. I appreciate how Morgan emphasizes positive reinforcement while maintaining clear expectations. She has helped me become a better leader and strengthened my bond with Lucy. Fantastic experience: Hoppy did a 4 week board and train program. Katie and Kayla were fantastic. They wanted the best results for Hoppy and took the time to teach her and were especially patient with me. You can tell that they really care about the long term success of their dogs. Maximum K9 is the perfect fit for our training and boarding needs. I feel very lucky that I found a place that we can go to that Hoppy feels safe and supported. We are excited to continue advancing with the programs and classes with Maximum K9.

Fantastic experience: We sent our 1.5 year old German shepherd to Maximum Canine for a 4 week board and train. He was a super anxious dog with separation anxiety and very little obedience. He is so sweet but had poor recall, would jump all over guests and could never be commanded. After working with Morgan for 4 weeks, he came back a totally different dog. He is now confident, he has incredible recall, he goes to “place” at any point even when he’s extremely distracted and his “heel” is impeccable. Morgan was an excellent trainer who gave our dog the confidence and skills he needed to succeed and she was also a great teacher to us during the demos so we also feel confident with continuing our dog’s training and keeping up his skills. This training was the best decision we ever made for our family. We now have a wonderfully behaved, very calm and still super sweet dog who we are so proud to show off — all thanks to Morgan and Maximum Canine.

Fantastic experience: My dog Kano did levels 1 and 2 with Toki. Toki is amazing!! Soo funny and she’s so caring towards the dogs and their parents. She’ll stay after class if you have a question. I wish she did privates. The classes are great! Very organized and really helped Kano with his basic obedience skills. Toki recommended a prong collar and during class let me borrow 1 to make sure I’m using it correctly before purchasing 1 from their gift shop.

Fantastic experience: We looked at several places to bring our small dog for training and couldn't be happier that we chose Maximum K9! The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our trainer Katie is beyond awesome! She kept us updated, answered all of our questions and made changes for our dog that we didn't even think were possible. Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience with Max K9. My dog Willy recently completed a 3 week board and train with trainer Toki. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, and she gave us the tools we needed to help with Willy’s reactivity. She was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had along the way. And we continue to visit Max K9 for their group lifetime classes which we both love!!

Fantastic experience: So we had brought in our male Rottweiler who had been really attached to my mother who’s health had been going bad. He became reactive to people coming near our home, cars passing by, it had become continuously hard to take him out as he was so bonded to my mother he couldn’t stand the thought of anything coming near mom or hurting her. Thanks to Katie and Kayla they were able to reach us how to handle our baby boy and to work on the trauma and insecurity making him reactive.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 1 year old German shepherd Igor to be trained for 4 weeks at Maximum K9. I have never had any of my dogs trained so this was my first experience doing so. Rosemarie, his trainer, as well as the other staff at the facility were amazing to him, gave him so much love and exceeded all of my expectations! Igor has really evolved and learned a lot these past 4 weeks. I am so thankful for all of the hard work and dedication this team has put into training my dog, it really shows and by doing this for him, I am now able to feel confident with working with my dog so he becomes a better version of himself. The time rosemarie and the team put into him, bringing him to places in the community, as well as the at home demos really helped shape his behavior. I am very happy with the results! Fantastic experience: Our Doberman (Koda) worked with Morgan on some behavioral issues, and it went great! We started with the 4 week boarding training, and then bumped it up to 6 weeks to ensure the issues were resolved! Morgan did a great job keeping us up to date on progress, and showing us the correct way to build trust with our very emotional and intelligent girl. Koda is home and thriving now! She definitely loved working with Morgan, and so did we!

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience working with Jim at Maximum K9. After a recent move that stressed our 2.5-year-old dog, we wanted to refine his training. The hybrid training program where 1/2 of the sessions were at the facility and 1/2 were at home provided a great balance where we could hone in on some of the basics in a controlled atmosphere and then deploy them in more "real world" settings towards the end of the program. Jim was incredibly patient with both us and our dog, teaching us effective tactics that were easy to implement and build upon. We saw tremendous progress in our dog's obedience and now feel confident in continuing his training ourselves. I highly recommend Jim for anyone looking to enhance their dog's skills—his expertise truly makes a difference!

Fantastic experience: If I could rate our time with MK9 it would be a MILLION stars. I sought higher quality training for our 1.5-year-old English Mastiff and found that they offered it out in Riverhead- very helpful not to have to drive far out west on LI! Most importantly: Our experience with the trainer, Nicole, has been life-changing! We came seeking obedience work because our dog would stare and lunge on leash at other dogs and we have had so much progress in a short time. We've learned things from Nicole we didn't even expect to regarding dog behavior and even nutrition (all things that have vastly improved our time with our dog, Peanut)! They are clearly a very knowledgeable individual who has tons of experience. From the moment we arrived, Nicole has been all about making our time and investment worthwhile. Some of the most impactful things we've noticed thus far working with Nicole is the patience they have, taking the time to listen, and helping us train our dog around their own dogs, which has helped us immensely!!! As a result, Peanut has become more neutral around other dogs, improved recall and we are able to take him almost everywhere with us having trust and comfort with him around others. When we finish the training sessions we purchased, we will continue with Maximum K9 as our training choice because they are truly unmatched and worth every bit of our investment of time and money.

Fantastic experience: We did a week board and train on the back of a vacation. Everything went extremely well. Logistically, they are on to of everything, but the part that put it over the top was our amazing trainer Rosemarie. It was clear from our interactions that she had a true bond with our pup. Could not be happier overall!

Fantastic experience: Max K-9 is an incredible facility, the staff and training is very focused on your concerns and areas of improvement needed for your Dog(s). They have a variety of programs offered. We opted to have private sessions after our Evaluation. Morgan was our assigned trainer and she not only was caring about the dogs welfare and behavior but how we were as handlers. The training is not just about teaching the dog but also as handlers. Highly recommend using Morgan as your instructor and Max K9 our training provider.

Fantastic experience: Maximum K9 is Amazing!! I had a very stubborn golden retriever puppy that would not walk on a leash or listen to any commands. Thanks to Katie and Kayla who are absolutely Awesome, my pup is now walking on a leash and listens to most commands. I’m still working with my pup closely to keep up with her training.

Fantastic experience: I was having some issues with my dog, she had some reactivity issues and aggressive behaviors and also no recall. It was making it very stressful to walk her or drive in a car. A friend recommended Maximum K9 and I thought let me give it a try since I’ve tried everything else, well I’m so glad I called and signed up Fendy for the 4 week board and train. I met with Joe and he spent the time talking to me and explaining his training process and how dogs learn behaviors and how all dogs learn differently. He really put my mind at eased at took the time to listen to my concerns. Katie was her handler working with her was Kayla and I can’t say enough how wonderful they are and how awesome they work together to train not only your dog but you. Fendy is back home and it’s been so great she is a much happier dog and I’m so much more confident it working with my dogs and the training techniques they’ve thought. So if you are deciding if this something for you and your dog I say definitely do it you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Took my Cane Corso for private training. He is now a different dog. They are really great and patient. We worked once a week, then worked at home on the things we learned in the school. it was a very effective system. I highly recommend bringing your dog to Maximum K9. You won't regret it. Joe the owner is great. He listens to all your issues and addresses each one. Positive training that work!

Fantastic experience: There was a mix up with the shipping company, but Maximum K9 responded quickly and got it straightened out. Just got the treadmill today and I agree with other reviews I have read. It was packaged well, very secure, and assembly was very easy. Also, it’s easy to move around. My dog was timid at first but is now walking on her treadmill with lots of treat incentives and I know this will make a huge difference in her life when the cold weather hits as she is a very active breed.

Negative experience: The first puppy class I attended with Jim went really well - he understood I did not want all treat based training and worked with us - however the second class was not a nice experience. I completed 3 out of 8 or 9 classes and refused to go back. I explained my feeling regarding treats and they said “while in this class treats” very condescending, and snarky. The one trainer did not agree with my collar choice and let me know it. While, standing outside with other class members and our puppies, we understood the rules not allow the puppies to be together, but yet she had to come outside stand there with her arms across her chest watching us. I’m not a child. I’m a grown woman and I understand not to let the dogs next to each other nor were they. I respect them as trainers however they need to respect the clients. I would never recommend anyone. Also, the collar was approved by my vet and breeder and I had successfully used it to train my previous Doberman. Also, you sell the same collar I was using and I was told if I use that collar, the dog will only learn by following the collar due to the pressure isn’t that the same method as following the food?

Fantastic experience: If I could leave 10 stars I would!!! I recommend Maximum K9 without reservation and with the highest praise. Winston, our golden/bernadoodle went to Maximum K9 as an unruly jumping crazy puppy who was torturing my other much older dog. Winston came home as an obedient well-trained, happy dog who comes when he is called, sits, heels, goes to his "place", and has stopped all of his negative behavior. Of particular note were the home visits when Winston came home to show what he was learning and to integrate me and my other much older dog in the training process. Katie, who was Winston's trainer, was simply exceptional, super responsive to my questions, and incredibly professional. Katie really got to know my dog, and knew how to work with him in a way that was productive, supportive, and boosted his confidence while still being firm. The videos and photos of his progress were so helpful in making me feel comfortable while he was away. The facility itself is very clean, orderly, professionally managed and well maintained. When Winston was running low on food or medications, the very helpful staff at the front desk let me know so I had time to get more. I can't say enough about how great Maximum K9 is, and if you are thinking about getting your dog trained, I would call them immediately.

Fantastic experience: Katie is the best! We have taken multiple obedience level classes, and Maui loves it. It’s been nice to see Maui’s transformation and watch him get over his fears throughout the years. At this point we enjoy taking the classes to socialize, site travel, bond, and most importantly for Maui to stay sharp. Maui also enjoys agility nights, it’s a good way to release that extra energy. All in all Maximum K9 offers a wide range of classes to suit all your fur baby needs and we highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I just want to share how much training my cattle/border collie mix at Maximum k9 has literally changed our lives. We did private training with Morgan and Axel is literally a whole new dog. He was reactive, always lunging and barking at other dogs it was impossible to walk him without hiding behind cars, we weren’t able to take him to the park or anything without feeling so embarrassed. I can literally say we took him to the park for the first time last week and he behaved SO well. He walked without lunging or barking and we were able to play without him getting distracted. Fantastic experience: We are extremely happy with the training our dog went through. Our dog is a rescue, mixed shepherd and 9 years old. He has many behavioral issues including pulling in walks, being extremely protective and possessive over us and at home. We worked with Katie the Trainer and she was great with our dog (which also have significant trust issues with people). Katie made sure to constantly communicate with us, consult us, send us pictures and videos of our dog's training and progress and in general was really great in communicating and addressing any concern we had. After 4 weeks of board and train we definitely got a more relaxed dog that's willing to work with us and already made significant progress. It is not cheap but if your dog's behavior significantly impacts your lifestyle it is highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Maximum K9 absolutely saved us. We bought a Beauceron puppy, Edie, into our busy family with two kids (6yo and 3yo), and it turned into biting, destruction and complete chaos. We were heartbroken and about to give the dog up, when we met with Joe and agreed to private lessons and a 4 week B&T. I was so anxious and defeated, and unsure this would work. From our first conversation with our trainer Morgan Dalis, we knew Joe placed us in the right hands. Fantastic experience: Our Renzo (3 year old Rottie ) just finished a 4 week board and train with Katie . Katie was just amazing with Renzo . . Renzo def was stand-offish and on guard but Katie was able to have him trust her. Which is huge . Katie worked on Renzos reactive behavior towards people bikes ( fast movements) . It was amazing to see him not react to certain things that triggered him before . Walks became a challenge between him pulling and reacting . I couldn’t believe when we did our 1 hour demo during his stay that he walked next to us in a heel and what a pleasure it is going to be to walk him from now on . Katie covered all bases with us down to crate training which Renzo was afraid of the crate at first and now goes in with out a problem . The crate will just make having people over more manageable for us and Renzo . I can’t say enough great things about the staff and trainer Katie . Katie is a pleather of information and explains every part of the training fully . My Renzo is well mannered now and still has his doofy personality. Absolutely recommend maximum K9 .

Fantastic experience: We took our 5 month old puppy here(after she did a puppy class at petco). Our trainer was Toki, with the help of Kayla walking around and monitoring. Toki was very good at communicating and teaching step by step. Along with minor correction when needed. She was also very fun! Kayla was great at assistanting trainers while not disrupting the class. Awesome experience. Will be signing up for future classes.

Fantastic experience: I was always sceptical about people claiming to be dog trainers. When we met Joe, he helped put my mind at ease. He seemed to know his business so we decided to schedule one session to meet the trainer. Nichole sealed the deal. She was so down to earth and easy to work with that we signed up. Charly was basically a good dog, a bit shy but well behaved, unless we came across another dog when out on a walk. He was very reactive and out of control. Nichole was great, extremely patient with us as we seemed to need more training than Charlie. When she brought her her incredibly well trained dogs in to help it helped tremendously. She really put us and Charlie through the paces and it paid off. I can take Charlie for a walk with more confidence, feeling a level of trust I did not have before. When we encounter another dog I have Charlie heel and he walks past like a gentleman. My wife and I can't thank Nichole enough for all she has done for us and Charlie. We actually miss her weekly visits as she was so much fun to work with.

Fantastic experience: Morgan has been so great with helping learn how to work with my dog Phoebe. We took a few private lessons following level 1 and we are now going to start level 2. Fantastic experience: We started our training at Maximum K9 when our golden retriever Winter was about 4 months old. We were looking for general obedience training and have gotten so much out of it. Our trainer Morgan is amazing! The knowledge and care that she was able to give to our pup was incredible. Morgan and the entire staff have always been friendly and accommodating and we can’t thank them enough. We highly recommend them for any personal and group training classes, as well as boarding/board and train. They have given us the tools and confidence to not only take care of our puppy, but to be able to involve her in all aspects of our lives. We feel very secure leaving our puppy in their care and know she will be well taken care of and loved! Everyone here truly loves what they do and it shows!

She built an excellent rapport with my high anxiety dog!! Katie worked tirelessly with Memphis and he returned to me well-trained and obedient. Sit/stay/leash walking/crate obedience plus much more. I too went in and was properly trained on managing him for when he would come home. On drop off day, Katie stayed woth me for an hour afterwards to help adjust him to return. Fantastic experience: We brought our cat Willow into our home last December. Our dog Luna has been with us for 10 years. Luna was naturally curious and interested in her new housemate, but somewhat overbearing. Our hope was that over time they would get accustomed to each other and they both could have access to the whole house. We used a baby gate to allow them to see and be near to each other while separated. As Willow grew and was able to jump over the gate, Luna’s reactions were instinctively quick and somewhat prey driven. We were concerned about injury to Willow. We contacted Maximum K9 to see if they could help with our situation. Joe came for an in-home evaluation and laid out what they could offer and expectations. We signed up for in-home dog training sessions. Jim came to our home once a week and gave us simple, easy to follow techniques to use with Luna. He was very willing to explain how and why the commands work, and extremely interested in hearing about any questions or concerns we had. We were given “homework” each week to help the progression. We’re very happy to say that after a month, Luna and Willow have been able to share space with each other, and without any worry from us that they’re going to have trouble between them. The stress that existed before was totally lifted. Jim was excellent, and we are very thankful to him and Maximum K9 for what they have done for us. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic experience: We brought our 5 year old dog Rocco to maximum k9. We took him for an evaluation and decided to have him go for the 3 week board and train. We were skeptical that they “couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks” but we were wrong. Rocco now takes verbal commands and his behavior has improved significantly. They gave us the foundation and fundamentals to continue to improve upon. Morgan was so patient with Rocco. She sent pictures and videos so we could see what Rocco was doing and how he was training. Fantastic experience: I feel so grateful that I was able to find Maximum K9 Service when I did. We were having issues with our dog Milo (Golden Retriever English Cream 11 months). He went from being a very sweet and submissive dog to showing signs of aggression when we would pet him on the head. With the help of Joe, we took Milo to get some blood work and discovered he was struggling with Lymes Disease and him being sick was the reason he was acting out. If not for Joe and his team's guidance it could have been life risking for Milo. Not only did Joe help us get to the bottom of Milo's aggression (Medical reason) he helped us train Milo in areas that he was weak in like recall and following through on commands. He helped us take Milo from a dog that might sometimes listen when we called him to coming right away. With Joe's simple philosophy and reinforcement training, Milo has been better behaved than ever and is feeling much better now that he is on medication. Thank you Joe for helping us with Milo and introducing a training technique that we will use forever. We are forever grateful!!

Fantastic experience: We sent our 8-month-old German Shepherd to Maximum K9 for a 3.5-week board and train program, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The team at Maximum K9 was outstanding, and I particularly want to highlight Katie's incredible work. Our dog had typical puppy behavioral issues—poor recall, excessive leash pulling (to the point where we couldn't walk down certain streets), limited to no basic commands (i.e., sit/stay), grabbing things around the house, barking indoors, and reactivity to other dogs. Katie's training transformed our dog into a well-behaved companion while still maintaining his goofy personality. Living in an apartment in a dense city, we wanted our dog to handle interactions with 20+ dogs per day, ride elevators with dogs, kids, and adults, and behave well both inside and outside the house. Katie ensured our pup was set up for success in all these scenarios. We highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for an elite dog trainer. Fantastic experience: We enrolled our 8-month-old, highly reactive Australian Shepherd in a three-week board and train program, and the results were truly impressive. Before: reactive, barking/lunging at dogs and people. Barking at random "scary" objects. Pulling on the leash. After: confident, neutral (not barking crazy) at things that stimulated her in the past, walking on a loose leash, and even qualified for Level 3 Off Site obedience training, not something we would have imagined initially. The professionalism and organization of this company left a lasting impression. The staff is experienced and excels in communication. A very well run company! Our trainer, Toki Woods, went above and beyond from the start, beginning with a thorough discussion of our goals and concerns. She maintained near-daily contact over the entire three weeks, sharing photos and video clips of our dog's progress. Toki's dedication to her profession is evident in every interaction. She not only addressed our primary concerns, such as our dog's reactivity, but also surprised us by addressing our dog's fear of nail trimming—a detail we didn't expect her to remember amidst everything else. During her final visit, Toki provided us with a printed training summary. AND she also handwrote 2 pages of notes tailored specifically to our dog's needs. I asked Toki if she liked her job. It's not what she said, it's how she said it. It was the most genuine "I love my job" response I have ever heard. Your dog will be in good hands with someone this passionate about their job.
