Fantastic experience: Best gym in new whole city I've been going there for more than two year's so clean fancy have evening you need for your fitness journey.......

Negative experience: Was very disappointed to be served half of a tiny cup of the yummy chocolate frozen yogurt for $4.00 plus tax. In the past, the cup was full, but if this is all you get for $4, I'll pass going forward. It's a rip off.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this gym for 10 years and highly recommend it to anyone interested in taking their fitness to the next level. There’s a lot of space here with multiple weight rooms and an entire upstairs area with cardio equipment. The indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, ice dip, and hot tub are an added plus. This is the nicest gym by far in the Greater New Orleans Area. They have towel, locker, and showers as well, so you can change after you get finished working out.

Negative experience: Before Katrina I went 5 days a week. I am 78 yrs old. I miss Chair yoga and Chair pilate. There is nothing for me who has bad knees. As far as the equip room you have to wait for people who enter.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here for 15 years, and I couldn't be happier. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, especially the membership team, who are always kind and ready to assist with any account questions. The facility is well-maintained, and the brand-new indoor pickleball courts are a fantastic addition! With numerous amenities that truly set this gym apart from any other place in the area, there’s something for everyone. The recent updates have made a great experience even better!

Fantastic experience: Alyssa was very helpful in signing me up for a membership here! The facility has so many amenities and it’s clean. The pools are what sold me and can’t wait to start my fitness here!

Fantastic experience: I have been working out at this club for about 5 months now and I am really pleased with all the amenities that they offer. There is no other gym in the area that compares. The weight room is full of great equipment. The sauna, steamroom, and cold dip are great for recovery. This is just an all around great facility, and I would recommend it to anyone trying stay healthy and active.

Fantastic experience: Pilates with Tory is a MUST!!! I have been to other studios and had other instructors as well. However, Tory from Oschner is my favorite. Pilates reformer is nerve-wracking if you have no experience however, Tory made me feel super comfortable. I am so glad I had my first ever session with her. I keep returning because I love her style and how she pays attention to the small details to ensure my muscle and body parts are aligned right. I would not have had the best experience if I had did other studios first or had other instructors honestly. I highly recommended it to a friend who was interested in pilates as well and she said the same about Tory. Other than that I do love being a member at Oschner!! Dylin the manager at the Heritage Plaza location is great. Love the coaches and instructors as well for the classes. Lastly, love the pickleball court!!! But they got to do something with the pipes the ceiling is a little low.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking Pilates classes with Mary Mang for over 10 years and I always look forward to her classes. Mary is a very attentive instructor and her verbal prompts are accurate and easy to understand. Her clear, organized, and consistent guidance can help you achieve results you‘ve never experienced before. Mary has the ability to get a little extra from you in every session, going beyond what you think you are capable of achieving. Not only challenging, but inspiring. Mary Mang - A body-conscious, knowledgeable Pilates teacher who is a true gem at OFC.

Positive experience: Pilates class was fun, yet challenging enough to get a nice workout. I’ve only done a few classes but Caroline was warm and patient with me. I would go back for another class but next time I will challenge myself even more and take an advanced class.

Negative experience: UPDATE: Talked to Tricia Bernard on the phone who immediately refunded me the loss. Took a while for this to get solved but it did in the end so I appreciate it. I have signed up for 4 different gyms in my life and this one has the worst membership services, BY FAR. I was overcharged for 2 and 1/2 months when all my other co-residents (who I referred to sign up) were charged the discounted, resident pricing. I talked to multiple people many times, emailed (and ignored by) both Tricia Bernard and Edward Schott, and was told management would give me a call back (which I never received a call from.) Finally, a nice lady in membership switched me over to resident pricing but not before being charged $126 in 2 and 1/2 months. That pricing is a SCAM especially for an Ochsner resident employee. And why was I the ONLY resident being overcharged? I’m about to cancel this membership next month and head to my spouse’s gym at LCMC if they over charge me a 3rd month.

Fantastic experience: Mary Mang is an excellent Pilates instructor. Having taken group and private classes with Mary for 4 years, I can attest to her expertise and knowledge of the reformer, chair and mat. Her classes are always well instructed, challenging, and a great workout!!!

Fantastic experience: Pilates Lab at OFC is top notch! Mary Mang is a phenomenal Pilates instructor; she is the “real” deal. Mary is knowledgeable and is a very conscientious instructor. Her cues keep me aligned and in the core.

Fantastic experience: Tory is knowledgeable and upbeat. She is always introducing new moves, keeping the class interesting and challenging.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience at the Ochsner Fitness Center! I get a great & fun workout with Pilates Reformer and the instructor Donna is very engaging.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Ochsner Elmwood Fitness Center since they opened their doors! Would never consider going anywhere else. I have done numerous classes and worked with some awesome personal trainers over the years. Then I got into Pilates Reformer with instructor Mary Mang. I started as a beginner with Mary approximately 12/15 years ago and attend her classes at least 3 times weekly. Mary is an outstanding Pilates instructor, who was trained by the best. Every class is different, challenging and fun. Her classes have made a huge difference in my health and body strength and I have made many good friends in the process. Mary is a true professional and Ochsner is very lucky to have her!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a good pilates reformer class….sign up for one of Karen’s! She is amazing! You wont be disappointed. She fine tunes all of the movements to make you better!

Fantastic experience: I’ve trained in a lot of gyms here in south Louisiana and all over the country. This facility has it going on. Clean club with all the amenities. Atmosphere is great. No trash music and no millennials dropping 250lbs on the floor from shoulder height! Love this place.

Positive experience: Back in the gym !!! Have had some very interesting things happen in there! I spoke with a manager and he did his job and followed through! I was called back and I believe the issue was handled! Thank you ! I am grateful to be up and moving enjoy life! It's sad went the news has to be on blast in the women's locker room you can't get away from the craziness of the TV. I go to get away from everything! The o bar is a fantastic place to go for help! Fantastic experience: Great accommodations with three pools, squash courts, spin room, and a cafe. Ton of daily classes too with something for everyone. For us, totally worth the money.

Negative experience: Took a tour here yesterday and the facility was amazing based on what I did see on my tour. But during my tour, my tour guide was not really enthusiastic about us joining their gym. There was no excitement , there was no friendliness . If someone is taking someone on a tour they should be into it. Everything was point at , that's over there , that's over there but was not physically brought over to these areas. I had to ask to go upstairs and see the cardio area. I would have love to see the locker rooms, spa room, and steam room. All I ask is help people feel invited and/or all inclusive.

Negative experience: It would be really nice if children were better supervised rather than being allowed to RUN around the lap pools, horse playing, and slamming swim boards on the water so loudly that it echos through the entire pool area. Even continuing after being asked to stop. One day, one of them will fall backward while jumping on the board they just slammed on the water and break their skull on the side of the pool, all the while dad is socializing and drinking beer rather than supervising his kids. It is always the same kids. Tonight, I had enough after asking them to stop numerous times in the past and tonight. One little boy stared right at me and did it again just to show me he could do whatever he felt like doing because he knew his dad would do nothing. I called for a manager (John) and was told they are just being kids. He didn't seem to care if their behavior was not safe or disrupting the experience of other members. It wasn't until I got his name off of his tag and told him I was reporting him that he went and spoke to the father. Then one of them, this so-called manager, or the father, went on to tell the kids, "just do what you want." It's a shame that this facility has turned into a children's recreation center at night, as well as the entire day, every day, rather than the wonderful fitness center it has been in the past. Please change your sign...Ochsner Day Care Center...and staff it appropriately.

Negative experience: Went to this gym for many years. Was on a first name basis with the staff and loved a lot of the members here. I cancelled my membership about a year ago, but they instead put my account on pause in which my membership was reactivated months later. I did not get any notifications for this, no emails/no texts, nothing. I finally realized I was being charged months later, so I called to get my money back. They make you get in touch with the Harahan location, in which they have clearly been instructed to try and just ignore whoever calls for billing. Tried to get in touch for weeks, and then it was just braindead responses from them with no help at all.

Negative experience: Business staff upon signing me up for a MedFit program could not provide me with a copy of the contract unless I signed it first? I explained I don’t sign contracts unless I have a printed copy. They could not or did not know how to provide me with this. I see that there’s a problem with what the intake person selected. I was told it’s a month to month contract, but she selected a term agreement. Now, I need to return to have this corrected.

Fantastic experience: Let me go into who I am in case there's anyone of my demographic looking for gyms: I'm a woman, 21, single. Got this membership because I wanted a gym close to my place of employment. I highly recommend Oshner Fitness. I started coming here for the cardio room, which is clean and well-kept. People are very nice; some strike conversation, others leave you to your own. I haven't tried the weights yet, but they look the same. They offer classes, no extra charge, included in your membership. I started taking two (yoga and mat pilates), and those became my favorite parts of the membership. The classes alone are worth $85 per month, in my opinion. The instructors are kind and informative. Sometimes, they'll get up from their post and check our forms, and make corrections as needed. tldr; totally worth it.

Positive experience: Large gym with pool and area for kids to play. Can get crowded at times.

Fantastic experience: A good variety of fitness equipment. They do not allow children in the workout area, which is a plus for me. Now that we have been going there for a few days, I am going to add a star. The amount of equipment and pools and classes, etc. make this the best bang for your buck. They also have a walking/running track upstairs.

Negative experience: Summer has been a nightmare. Kid running around, screaming, unattended. No employees around until a lady in the indoor pool got so tired of all the noise and screaming, she started screaming back at them to stop. Only then did the worker go and ask them to stop. I must admit, I was happy when he finally did something. We pay for a premium experience...I feel like I've been robbed. How about limiting children to a specific pool...or two and allow the adults a place to exercise in peace and actually get what they pay for. Over it.

Fantastic experience: I definitely rate ochsnor fitness as a 10. The environment is very clean and the staff are very welcoming. Plenty of activities to do. If you need a trainer. I would definitely recommend Jason. He is very kind to everyone. Has a heart of gold. I never had him as a trainer. As what I can see. He really cares about those he trains. Look them up. I promise you wouldn't be disappointed. Always keep your chin up. You are worth it. ☺️

Positive experience: Very spacious gym with swimming pools, sauna and cold plunge. I loved it. Also lots of free weights and space for deadlift which I like. However gym needs to have more accessories like weight belts, wrist straps, bungees.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely beautiful! Once you go here and go to another gym.. you'll never go back! No other gym will ever hit the same as this one! Ochsner, you really hit the nail with this one! So let me go into more detail. Great healthy food, cleaner always ready to clean up after other people, employees have fun with you, family environment (for sure!), they immediately get on problems and concerns that you may have! Overall friendly service! And would 100% go again! Also.. keep in mind that the membership is pretty high..and the food is very high too! But overall, with everything else, you can reserve classes for free and more! They have everything! Yoga, pilates, boxing, etc!

Fantastic experience: Kudos to the business office team for their prompt and excellent service. The genuine assistance and care provided by both Tricia and Angela warmed my heart. It is service like this that will forever make me a member of OFC.

Negative experience: Very bad customer service. Left many messages with billing (they never answer the phone) as well as front office staff to speak to someone in billing but never get called back. Ended up getting charged for basically 7 months of service when I wanted account on pause due to needing surgery. Now credit card had to be changed because of fraud and unable to reach anyone. Then get a message from an external company that I have late fees after not being able yo reach anyone at ochsner to ever fix these problems. Once a member, they are completely unresponsive to your needs.

Positive experience: Nice gym. 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, and 2 steam rooms plenty of workout equipment. It is a little dated inside.

Fantastic experience: I use the Heritage location often but I will use The Ride Lab In Harahan on the weekends for spinning. Ochsner is a great gym with many amenities at all locations.

Positive experience: The lady that sat me in her office was impatient and hesitant to show me around. She was letting us go without offering us a tour. So I asked if she could show us around. She did not want to help me fit the gyms barcode on my phone because I had too many files. I left without having a pass card to get in. She talked more to my husband then to me and he was not joining.In spite of her I will still go here.

Fantastic experience: I came here as a guest of the hotel they have a partnership with and was blown away. I would 100% get a membership here if I lived in the area. All the amenities you'd need from a gym and more. Everything was well maintained and clean, too. If you're nearby and looking for a gym, this is it!

Negative experience: Paying more for less. I've been coming here (on and off) for well over a decade. I am currently on a membship that allows me to use the main Elmwood facility on the weekends. I usually use this location to get swimming work out etc. I understand they need to renovate the indoor pool area and saunas etc. but this along with already overcrowded condition had made things more or less not worth the price of membership. They have no information on when the indoor pool is to be reopened. The closed pool has caused a major overflow of members going to the Heritage location as well and causing major overcrowding there, and for those of us who have a "sattlilite" membership we don't really have an option and are forced to deal with overcrowded conditions. I wish they would provide some information to members as to their plans and facilities being closed or being repaired etc. There is no info about the progress or plans for the inside pool at Harahan. Sometimes the hot-tub or showers are closed temporarily at the Heritage Plaza location for whatever reason without any information or notice as well. The Ochsner Fitness website is pretty much useless and not used to give updates etc. I'm likely to cancel my membership due to overcrowding and paying higher prices while having many of the amenities cut due to remodeling. I've tried to be patient but I simply cannot afford to pay for things that are closed and can't do the workout that I need.

Negative experience: Oshner Harahan / Oshner Fitness has a huge name with a HUGE price for no reason. First and foremost not everyone is paying $100+ like you. People are their because they have Oshner health coverage, so for the money spent you’re going to see a solid amount of unwelcome folks. CHILD CARE You have to reserve a time slot for your child and in order to do so you have to do it after midnight or else good luck at getting any convenient times. The workers don’t care if you selected your slot time & came in 10-15 minutes late they won’t let you leave your child which is quite upsetting. (No child care from 12-4pm) POOLS Towel service isn't free even though you pay hundreds of dollars a month which is a huge loss. Pools get dumped with chlorine while families are actively swimming in them. Meanwhile the bottoms of the pools are dirty, they need to invest in a mini vacuum bottom cleaner for out door & especially INDOOR pools! Those indoor pools you could vomit from the thick chlorine 60 year old stench in the air & the bottoms of the pools are horrible. WEIGHTS / CARDIO Cardio is nice second level with a walk around, nice equipment nothing bad to say about the cardio area. The weights are also good but those dumbbells that spin is a big no no Oshner. Someones going to get hurt really bad. SAUNAS Terrible. Saunas are unisex & smell nasty, Not maintained, cockroaches, wood is stained & smell like mold due to people constantly going in the pool or cold plunge & running into the sauna which makes the smell that’s saturated in the wood smell worse. The place gets over crowded with men 90% of the time & I feel bad for the women who have to be in there are sometimes see a bunch of men & walk away. For such price there has to be sauna’s & cold plunges in each bathroom. BATHROOMS Bathrooms toilets / sinks lockers extremely outdated. Oshner, enforce some new rules in the men’s locker room nobody wants to see anyone naked. SERVICES A young Hispanic girl I believe was the “manager” - I told her about all the above, she replied, can’t get what you’re paying for somewhere else & proceeded to praise Oshner fitness. RATING I wouldn’t be able to give it a 1 star or else I’m being completely unfair, Oshner with thousands of my dollars later, you deserve a solid 2 stars. Invest in your business & stop being selfish because you run the entire medical field in Louisiana.

Fantastic experience: What a pleasant surprise! We had our boy's 6yr bday party here and it was amazing. They bounced their hearts out in a private area with 3 bounce houses. No crowds or loud speakers.

Positive experience: Great place. Cost a lot for a gym, but it has more than 4 pools. A lot of upgrades recently. Currently the pool is closed, less than 1 month after I joined I got an email saying it was going to be closed for at least 3.5. months. No one said anything when I joined. But, it is clean and nice staff.

Positive experience: The girls that work the food area by the pool need CLOSE supervision. We ordered food today(6/23/24) and all 3 of the girls working in there were mixing up the orders. We had to request an order buzzer because they didnt give us one at the time of our order. They apologised(the only apology they offered) and then proceeded to figure out what order was ours. We sat in there for 45 minutes waiting for our food and watched people who arrived long after us get their food. I approached them and asked them how much longer the food was going to take, handed them our receipt and i was able to get a snarky comment from all 3 at once. I reiterated that i just wanted to know how much longer our order was going to be. One girl asked "would you like to talk to a manager" i said, "no, i just want to know how much longer it's gonna take since we've been here so long already". The girl on the grill said "it's taking so long because your burger." While the next girl said it's about to come out and then handed me the chicken strips from my order. What followed was all 3 of them condescending to me. I said, you know what, refund the tip i put on my card and also the burger, i dont want it. I then demanded to talk to a manager. One girl pulled out her cell phone and called one. She then tried to hand me her cellphone. I said, "im not talking to anyone on your cellphone. Get a manager in here." They said there was no manager here. (What?!?!) Shortly after, a young gentleman came in. He introduced himself as Travis and said he was with management. Travis was the professional you'd expect from oschner fitness. As i was explaining the situation to Travis, all 3 of those unprofessional little girls working that food area started shouting out over me. Travis asked them to be quiet, but they persisted. Travis, again, had to ask them to be quiet. I told Travis that i just wanted a refund on the burger (i havnt gotten yet) and the tip that they DEFINITELY DID NOT EARN. He ended up refunding the entire order and apologized for the issues. I told him that a full refund wasn't necessary, but I thanked him for his professionalism. This situation in mind, let's be clear: I pay a premium for my membership here. I expect that if Oschner is going to employ these mouthy-little-brats, then they need to be kept under constant adult supervision. They can not be trusted to be professional. We spend a ton of money every weekend on concessions and drinks... this level of service is pathetic! Next weekend, when we want lunch, we will leave and come back, or just pack our own. In fairness, I should also add that each of our visits, the girl bartending (im not sure her name) has been very kind and professional.

Fantastic experience: Ochsner Fitness in Elmwood exceeded all my expectations. The cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff made me feel right at home. It's undoubtedly the best fitness center I've ever come across. The sheer size of the place is impressive, and it boasts an extensive range of amenities. The cafe is a great addition, offering a variety of options. Although I haven't experienced the med spa yet, it's definitely on my list for the future. The sauna and steam room were both clean and inviting, providing a relaxing experience. While the cold plunge wasn't as chilly as expected, the maintained temperature of 68-70°F was still refreshing. The multiple pools were a highlight, meticulously cared for, and ideal for laps. Overall, Ochsner Fitness offers an exceptional and comprehensive wellness experience that left me thoroughly impressed.

Positive experience: It’s a great gym. Lots of stuff to do. PLEASE PUT A SAUNA AND COLD PLUNGE IN THE LADIES LOCKER ROOM!!! Men fill up the cold dip and sauna, man spread, and stay in there. Even in off hours. And it’s super uncomfortable.

Negative experience: So upset to hear about Craig being let go from Oschner. I was ready to see him after I had my baby and found out what happened. He has been the only trainer that has been able to help me loose weight and look amazing for my wedding. I was able to loose an inch and a half from each side 6 mo before my wedding. He truly is the best trainer I ever had and was here broken and upset when I heard he was let go. Truly a great talented trainer.

Positive experience: Phenomenal gym but amazing how they fired personal of key leadership that created the majority of the membership. Obviously people at the top don’t realize how hard it is to have the right leader in resting a culture membership, sales and training to create businesses. Not a smart move on their part.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member here on and off for the last 20 years and it never ceases to amaze me how clean it is and they always have the latest equipment, the employees are extremely courteous, and there's fun four for the whole family

Negative experience: Not very happy that Craig was let go. He motivated me to be a healthier version of me. I have lost 70lbs working with him and when I heard he was fired all I could think about was how could that happen. He is friendly and knows what he is doing. My second thought was where ever he goes I am going to move and continue to train with him. #teamCraig

Negative experience: This gym is over priced, however, I joined because, at the time, I worked for Ochsner. I signed up for the personal trainer (Craig G.) and I loved my workouts with him. He held me accountable in a way that I didn't feel like he was talking down to me. Nor did I feel like he just wanted to get to the next client. However, he was let go. The gym made no attempts to contact me and let me know. Nor did anyone step in for the appointment I had scheduled. Poor customer service from management with the handling of his departure and the clients that were left with no service for the money paid.

Negative experience: Just a year ago I have this place 4 stars and an AMAZING review only because of the service and dedication I received from Craig the trainer. I am saddened to find out Craig was the ONLY one let go by the massive layoffs by Ochsner. I have since cancelled my membership and will continue to train with Craig wherever he lands. A good trainer relationship is not something that happens with anyone so to be told oh we can put you with someone else is unacceptable! Good riddance Ochsner Health Center, if your don’t care about the people that make your facility what it is then I know you don’t care about customers.

Negative experience: I started personal training with Craig Guerrera at Ochsner because he was my personal trainer back in 2015. I’m sad and disappointed when I was informed he was let go! I hate to say this but I don’t see Ochsner being the same with him! He brings results baby and there’s no one like him. If you want to see results and Ochsner fitness staying a float I believe they should bring him back! His real deal clients will leave with him and come right back if God says this is the place for him! I’m no longer interested in the fitness center because if I can’t train with him! I don’t want to train with no one else! That’s it that all! Craig brings that fire baby!!!!

Negative experience: I enjoyed the cleanliness of the facility. What I was most impressed with, was my trainer. Craig is the best. He is quite passionate about seeing you reach your weight loss goals. You should be extremely grateful to have such a great employee. I called him to set up more training and to my surprise he was no longer with you guys. You all have really lost out on a great employee. This is really sad.

Fantastic experience: I love, this is gym! There are many older individuals that you will see in here. But I think that it makes it more feel at home! The employees are great and the place is very clean! You will experience both on your first visit!

Positive experience: The place is amazing, clean, fun layout, great to have indoor track and all other amenities. The class sign up process is troublesome for my fluctuating schedule. Be nice to have couple more work out rooms to have more classes available at same time, even if class size must be downsized. Curious he options. Overall, fun time in great environment for getting fit!

Negative experience: This place is overpriced for no absolute reason. The pools are disgustingly dirty, there’s one unisex sauna that was dirty and had roaches in it. People would come from the pool drenched and sit on the benches and it would smell moldy after a while, that shouldn’t be allowed you should be dry in the sauna. They need to have a sauna in each bathroom and clean at all times. The babysitting set up was so unnecessary. Two to three workers and they couldn’t handle a few kids at a time. Meanwhile club 4 fitness which is the gym we switched to doesn’t have you sign up prior and takes enough kids to fill up the room safely and with just one worker. They wouldn’t let you slide and leave your kid for the remainder of the time if you were late which is bizarre to me spending 200$ a month here in Louisiana for a fitness center that was dirty all the time. We’re spending at club 4 fitness 45$ a month that includes babysitting, saunas, massage chair and so much more and it’s always spotless. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Negative experience: Recently renovated areas are nice, though the bathrooms are very outdated. Was a member for a few years solely for the Afterburn class (HIIT/functional training), but am now switching gyms since they eliminated the class. If you’re looking for just weights, this is a good gym. If you’re interested in group classes, I’d caution that Ochsner classes don’t really cater to a younger generation. If you want line dancing or tai chi, this is the place! Any class comparable to F45 or OTF, look elsewhere. Most group classes are outdated, offered at poor times for those in school or working, or they’ll try to sell you on OPT for a premium.

Fantastic experience: Ochsner Fitness is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for! They have all sorts of equipment, classes, and luxuries that you just don't get at other gyms. One thing that I find annoying is that members are required to spend $10 a month at the snack bar. If they don't their account is charged an extra $10. But they have plenty of options at the snack bar, so if you're going to get a snack anyway then it shouldn't be a problem.

Negative experience: Gym is really nice but extremely out dated & in need of a solid renovation, the handles of dumbbells roll which is EXTREMELY unsafe & they have roaches throughout their facility. This one was in the sauna, the guys around me stated how it’s the norm. Their indoor pool is unkept, they just pour chlorine in it hourly. They need to also convert their pools to salt water pools. This is 2022 & we’re paying 100$ a month! Oshner step it up. They also don’t care if you complain. 2 stars.

Negative experience: I canceled my membership (in person as they require) and they kept charging me. Getting ahold of them and getting the correct amount refunded was a pain. Also, their pricing is absurd and rarely clear. I don't want to go to their "cafe" but they charge you extra to not use it.

Positive experience: Solid gym overall. Tons of space and equipment. Only gripe is the $10 minimum spend monthly at the snack bar. Normally wouldn't bother me but the system at the snack bar is constantly down, constantly have signs up that say no smoothies, and takes FOREVER to get anything. And lately there's been a funky smell around thar whole area.

Fantastic experience: Had to finally make a trip to the Harahan Fitness Center. Wow, it's huge,clean and a vast difference from the Heritage location. Both are just great for what they offer. Heritage is cozy, Harahan is huge, both are very impressive!

Fantastic experience: I enjoy the free weights and the body building machine, the best yoga classes with Mirage and Liz, the Pilates classes with Tory , and body balance with kathleen Vincent, I enjoy the barra class with Sheridan Welch, Caroline Moore, the class keep my body and joints,moving real good after the class now my body is in the best shape and looks awesome, Angela Lacour and Stephanie Miles body attack and body combat class, keep you in excellent shape and the very best cardio class ever,also the sauna and the steam room, very enjoyable atmosphere,#1health center. Fantastic experience: Best Fitness facility in New Orleans the gym has a fantastic feel and a fantastic layout. My entire family works out here and I have made many friends from this gym. It would mean a lot if they updated the pool areas

Fantastic experience: Love this place so far. Only been about 3 weeks and while it’s a bit busy at all hours. It’s a huge place with so so many amenities. Just wish they had tennis courts but that’s something i can easily overlook. Great staff, especially Gavin. Friendly, informative, talkative and makes some great food.

Fantastic experience: Really comprehensive fitness center. Loved the indoor track. Great pools. Have all the equipment you could ever need. Is part of the Silver Sneakers program. Staff is extremely helpful and do an extensive health evaluation on each member when you join. Highly recommend. Handicap accessible.

Fantastic experience: Who can fault a fitness center that has everything and a vibrant hands-on staff? On days that I start work late enough to get there it it transforms my body. It’s a great facility with lots of programs, and a big help for us seniors.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful renovation! Plenty of open space with a wide variety of quality equipment for lifting and cardio. Multiple pools indoor and out that are climate controlled so you can swim year round. And the Hot tub, cold pool, sauna, and steam room will help you recover quickly.

Fantastic experience: I use both the elm wood and heritage plaza gyms. I like them both for different reasons. Love the outdoor space at Elmwood and heritage plaza because it is smaller. I think it is reasonably priced for what you get. My grandson loved to come swimming with me and is taking lessons.

Fantastic experience: I love working out at the Ochsner Fitness Center! I typically attend classes and there is always a class at a time that works for me, the instructors are wonderful and motivating, and the facility is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Ochsner Fitness Center is a great place for family to relax and exercise. Just yesterday as I was exercising on the cycles there were two other people in the area who appeared to be experiencing respiratory distress. One of the people was a Middle Aged female who was trying to pump on one of three hill climbers(up - right pumper), but she was coughing until she was beet red in the face. She coughed so hard that I thought she was going to fall out Then their was a young man, about 26- 30 years old, he continued to snort and snot that he could hardly breathe normally. I know that mask are not needed at the center while exercising, but I do feel that everyone should have their temperature taken as they enter the Ochsner Fitness. Just as a Precaution. Because this is an OXYMORON-- to exercise to maintain health fitness but to not maintain health regulations to prevent and avoid contracting COVID 19 or any other health disparity.and individuals to

Positive experience: I’ve been looking for a gym with child care for awhile, since it’s just me and my girls. I came across this one and signed a year contract. After two months, I’m enjoying going to the gym four to five days a week. The machines are in good condition, and the cleaning staff is always present. The little cafe has a few offerings and everything I’ve had there has been enjoyable. My only complaint is the childcare. I have a seven-year-old and a four-year-old, and they hate going with me. All children, no matter their age, are put into the nursery. My kids are bored and not stimulated when I drop them off, and they beg me not to go. I still want/need to get a workout in, so I take them, I just wish the childcare had more to offer my kids other than the nursery.

Fantastic experience: Ochsner in Harahan is a great place to workout and get support to stay on top of your health goals. I love the group fitness classes. The instructors are truly the best! They are always prepared with fun and challenging classes. I highly recommend trying a group fitness class.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love how I feel like I have family here. Craig is amazing in every way. He pushes me to do my best but also won’t let me push so much that I hurt myself. He cares about what goes on in my everyday life. Like I said he treats me like family and he keeps me strong.

Fantastic experience: The facilities are spectacular. The pools are very enjoyable and there are plenty of well organized classes to choose from. We did two personal training sessions with Craig and he was very flexible with scheduling and catered to exactly what we needed/requested. He came prepared, kept in touch, and gave us the incentive we needed to work hard.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Ochsner in Harahan has been nothing but ideal. My first walk through visit, the staff paid attention to my goals and put me in touch with Craig Guerrera to put a plan together and achieve them. Ochsner made me appreciate fitness and make me want to be in the gym instead of feeling like I had to be there. Would not recommend any other gym but Ochsner and Craig is definitely a go to guy for beginners and the elite. Go sign up!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Craig, one of Ochsners personal trainers, for about 3 months now and my results have been amazing! He makes it fun and enjoyable to train plus he is very encouraging! I always leave our sessions feeling motivated and great about myself! Truly could not ask for a better experience and it has been an absolute delight to see and feel my mind and body change in such a positive way! I am well on my way to achieving my goal thanks to him! I could not ask for a better gym or trainer!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Elmwood gym since April. Signing up for the gym was a life changer . I love the staff, I feel motivated . I am always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. After a few months of the working out i decided to get a trainer to lead me in the right direction to get healthy. Craig Guerrera is a phenomenal trainer. He is easy going and , non judgmental towards everyone fitness goals. He is very patient and pushes his clients to do there best. Love him !

Fantastic experience: The equipment in this Fitness Center is easy to use and is better quality than other Fitness Center equipment I've used. The exercise areas are partitioned in a manner as to eliminate the need to walk through one workout area to get to another workout area (e.g. to get to cardio area you don't need to walk through weigh area). Walking/Running track is indoors and environmentally controlled.

Fantastic experience: Great hours and clean facility! Plenty of space and every type of workout machine and free weights that you need. Several different workout studios with various classes every day. Multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for whatever fitness looks like for you!

Fantastic experience: Went to my complimentary assessment evaluation of my health and what exercises I would need to achieve my goals. My trainer Lisa was very friendly, courteous,, knowledgeable and professional. She showed me how to correctly use each piece of workout equipment. Fantastic experience: I am loving this place. There is something for everyone at any level of fitness. The people there are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Fantastic experience: I really love this place! I accompanied my mom to physical therapy. Her PT Michael was knowledgeable, professional and a great educator of the processes and treatment he preformed! It's state of the art. They seem to have a proactive approach to healthcare, both mental and physical. The setting is more of a resort spa feel. If I'd lived here, this would be my go to spot for therapy and fitness. That pool is amazing! Go check it out!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love it here! The step classes are amazing, and I love using the pool, too. The indoor pool option is wonderful because you don't have to worry about the weather canceling your workout. The group fitness instructors are fantastic. I go to classes 6 days a week and they're fabulous! I especially love step, spin, and body pump.
