Fantastic experience: I wanted to express my appreciation for what Dr. Bobby and his staff have done for me! I started my new way of life in January 2023, my weight was 444. I’m a big man 6’5” but that was way to much weight! After breaking my back in 2017 in two places and crushing my spinal cord, I couldn’t walk for almost a year. The weight just started piling on from point on. I tried everything you have heard of with little or no success. Lose 20 pounds, gain it back plus another 10-15 pounds. It was a vicious and depressing thing to live through! Dr. Bobby has given me hope and a light at the end of a very dark long tunnel. As of 8/24/2023 I am already down to 384 pounds. More to go, but 60 pounds is no joke!! Thank you so much Dr.Bobby and Staff!!!

Negative experience: My husband is 3 months post-op from his gastric sleeve surgery and communication with the nutritionist Courtney via email or phone call has been non-existent. After paying $3500 out of pocket just for office fees/supplements/nutritionist 1-1 and hopeful for feedback or questions after surgery, it's incredibly frustrating to see your partner not receive any assistance whatsoever after attempting to ask for help. Do better, Courtney. Or follow up!

Negative experience: Scam. Wanted to charge me $3500 up front with my insurance covering the visit because he didn’t perform my bariatric surgery. All I needed was follow up care.

Positive experience: Office staff not great in communication or follow through but surgery went perfect with no complications or issues. Nutrition guide and staff are great and very responsive.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Bobby and Courtney and the rest of his staff have been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to me! The entire staff at Eisenhower was very welcoming and warming to me during my stay for my Gastric Bypass surgery. I was referred to Dr. Bobby from a friend of mine, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else other than Dr. Bobby with any of my loved ones. I appreciate the the communication from him and his office. His staff is always friendly and quick to get back to me. Heather and Courtney are ALWAYS there for me and a huge part of my journey and I truly appreciate this entire office. Negative experience: My wife went to see Dr Bobby basker a year and a half ago over that year and a half. It started out with telling her that she needed 6 months of dietitian courses after that they then suggested that she needed more dietitian courses so she ended up doing 11 months with the dietitian in between that time Brianna the front desk manager once she finally got all of her blood work done told her that they had submitted her claim to her health insurance IEHP and that her health insurance denied the claim because they told her that she needed to be overweight for at least a period of five years 3 months later my wife decided that she was going to try to appeal this denial and when she did that she later found out that they never actually submitted the claim to her health insurance company so now we're on to about a year of a waiting this surgery that she desperately needed my wife almost died from severe sepsis 3 years ago she had 17 invasive surgeries all over her body and she has trouble breathing every day and trouble walking everyday all she ever wanted was to be able to live a life that was fulfilling peaceful and happy and now yet again Dr Bobby told her 10 days prior to going into surgery that because she did not complete hep c treatment for her hepatitis c that they would be canceling her surgery yet again and.

Quiero dar mi testimonio por que la verdad había pérdida las esperanzas de bajar de peso ya que sufro de hipotiroidismo, soplo cardiaco,un tumor hipofisiario y tenía un desorden alimenticio que me llevo a tener un peso de 103 kilos Estoy súper agradecida con el doctor Bobby en serio mi vida cambio, es como un ángel para mi y fue súper amable, atento, servicial, respetuoso y profesional en todo mi proceso igual aún después de la cirugía si tengo alguna duda siempre está dispuesto a resolverla. Busque tanta ayuda en el sistema de salud en Medellín pero siempre su respuesta “eres una paciente de alto riesgo “ Y que tampoco me podía someter a ninguna cirugía donde pudiera perder sangre o causarme alguna hemorragia. Alcanzándome a decir un doctor que era mejor seguir viva que flaca... pero en realidad yo no estaba viviendo, ese peso no me dejaba ser quien soy. Lo que me llevo a buscar ayuda por fuera del país y encontrar al doctor Bobby Bhaskerrao pues de acuerdo a lo que leía, él era el más capacitado y con más experiencia en cirugía bariatrica robótica. Siendo ésta mas avanzada, segura y sin tantos riesgos como la cirugía tradicional que me estaban negando en mi país.. Pues en mi país no hay cirugía bariatrica robótica. Me contacte con él y encontré un angelito me recomendó la manga Gástrica..Aunque yo no hablo nada de inglés, ellos tienen personal que hablan español y me explicaron muy bien todo acerca del procedimiento y riesgos, me mandaron una dieta estricta que debía empezar 15 días antes de la cirugía y seguir después de ésta; así mismo exámenes de laboratorio ( que me hice en Medellín por el precio más accesible) que tenía que hacer para que ellos estuvieran seguros que era apta y así poder programar fecha. Gracias a Dios era apta y Viajé a California una semana antes de la fecha de la cirugía para así seguir con el proceso de reconocimiento: saber donde era la clínica y ver a las personas con la que había tenía contacto a través de video llamadas y correos . El día de la cirugía fue el 20 de junio de este año. Me quedé esa noche en la clínica para monitorearme aunque yo no tenía ningún tipo de dolor y caminaba normalmente en supervisión de la enfermera. Solo tuve un poco de incomodidad en los hombros por un gas que te tienen que poner y se te sube a los hombros y te sientes como pesada pero ningún tipo de dolor, recibí una excelente atención y acompañamiento. Al siguiente día me dieron de alta y la verdad yo me sentía como si nada hubiera pasado pues yo pensaba que me iba a doler y tenía que estar en cama tomando miles de medicamentos y que iba podía caminar etc ... mejor dicho de todo me imaginé pero no, nada fue así , por el contrario no creía que había tenido la cirugía pues físicamente me sentía muy bien. Lo primero que te recomiendan es caminar y así lo hice aproveche los días de vacaciones que me quedaban para hacer algunas cosas en California antes de regresar a Colombia pasando mis días normalmente . En colombia seguí con las recomendaciones que me dieron : mi nuevo plan alimenticio, hacer ejercicio moderado y tomar siempre vitaminas . Tu mentalidad cambia tanto que ya no se te antoja cosas malas, comidas rápidas y ves tanto el cambio de la nueva vida que tienes que no la quieres dañar y la sigues construyendo. El primer mes solo puedes tomar líquidos y te sientes súper rara ... porque tomas aunque sea un poco de agua y ya te sientes llena no te cabe un sorbo más a la semana ya pesaba 92 kilos y desde eso cada jueves tomo mi peso Este 20 de septiembre ya cumplo 3 meses de haberme operado y peso 77 kilos y sigo en el proceso de ser cada día mejor y cuidar la nueva persona que soy y lo bien que estoy ahora . Ya no le huyo a las fotos o publicarlas ya me siento como nueva con una mejor autoestima y auto confianza . Me miro al espejo y me gusta mucho lo que veo ahora .

Fantastic experience: Thank you Dr Bobby!! Before my surgery I was diabetic with numbers as high as 316 I also had hypertension and cholesterol. I am 8 days post op when my pcp has asked me to discontinue all medications I no longer need my meds for diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol.

Negative experience: My girlfriend had surgery with Dr. Bobby and had great results but we are now in his office for a follow up appointment and have been waiting over an hour with no end in sight.

Negative experience: So I was contemplating a review, then decided not to on the drive home. And just as I arrive, they send me a link to fill out... so hear goes... So for Dr. Bobby himself. I haven't seen him since the day of the surgery 9 months ago. But he was involved, answered questions and you even get his private cell # in case of emergency. I'm more then happy with him, and the process. Loosing weight and feel great, as well he fixed a Hiatal hernia that cause years of discomfort, I was out of the hospital after 1 day and back to work 3 days later. The office staff & people at the desk and who take your weight during the follow up appoints are always curious and helpful. BUT.... Appointments take far to long. My follow up appointments seem to take for ever, for very basic conversations. Granted I might not need as much coaching or have questions. But knowing that you would think there would be some emphasis on getting people on about there day. Today I actually walked out of the office after being left in a little room for over an hr. After 45min I saw the NP who gave me the stats and I didn't have any questions so that was a quick 4-5min. Then I waited another 20min before leaving as I was waiting for the nutritionist to come and talk to me. The whole time I heard nothing but laughing and joking outside the door. There seemed to be more interest after I was headed out, but by then it was to late. 10:30 appointment. They want you there early. 5 min to get weight/vitals, 5min update on stats, and still didn't talk to the nutritionist. 1hr 15min appointment from weigh-in to walking out. Maybe I'm being overly critical? Could be the low calories talking. It seems like after they get your "out of pocket" program fee, and establish that your insurance will keep paying then things slow down allot. I have 1 more follow up at a year post op, then I will decide if I ever go back them or find another option for followups.

Fantastic experience: I cant say enough GREAT things about Dr Bobby and his Amazing staff. They are all so Professional and Friendly every time I've been there. I had my Bypass surgery in 2010 by Dr Bobby and he changed & saved my life. I've recently have had problems with Gerd due to a hiatal hernia that needed repaired and within weeks They scheduled the procedure and now I'm as good as new again.. Courtney was attentive and helpful as I adjusted to the new dietary needs of my post-bypass body. My emailed questions about foods were always answered promptly. After surgery, Dr. Bobby gave me his cell phone number before I was released from the hospital so I could call if anything went wrong. The office staff made sure multiple follow-up appointments were scheduled before my surgery even took place. I honestly believe this attentive level of pre and post-operative care is as crucial to Dr. Bobby's success as his high level of training, skill and care during the surgery itself. I couldn't have asked for a more skilled surgeon or a more caring team.

Negative experience: This surgeon was to see me as I moved here from Canada.. I did all the steps and stayed on a very restricted diet.. I Lost weight like crazy...by The time I got to this Dr which was set up months beforehand in Canada...he was very short and rude to me as I no longer needed surgery..but supposedly he has a weight loss program for people too but never offered that to me...told me he wasn't going to help me at all and no charge for the day.. Seriously... I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire..what a bad way to treat a patient... .no thanks The reason you have no record of it is because my married name is Sherry Dove....and yes I was seen there by Dr Bobby....and dismissed like I was nothing . Now I have gone through this journey alone with no specialist to watch over me and have had a very tough time.... I will not call you .you can reach out to me ..you have my info and my medical records....

Fantastic experience: I had gastric sleeve surgery with Dr. Bobby in December, and couldn't be happier. His skill as a surgeon is unsurpassed, and the customer service in his office is outstanding. I've lost a great deal of weight, and as I write this just 7 months later, I am only 30 pounds shy of my goal weight. Dr. Bobby helped give me my life back! The recovery time was outstanding, mostly because he operates by robotics, so there is dramatically less pain. I am now confident and thrilled with the results. To just be able to MOVE again is such a blessing! I love hearing, "You are skinny now!" and I think, "Almost there!!!" I can actually exercise now without my joints hurting. I can play with my grandson without getting winded. I have so much energy now! Below is a picture of me last April after I'd lost 60 pounds.
