Fantastic experience: I have to get a prescription from them once a month. It is always easy to refill my prescription online. When I arrive, they have a check in kiosk which is easy to use (we have the same one at my work). You can stand there to sign in or you can scan the QR code to sign in on your phone. I usually do that and I’m signed in by the time I sit down to wait and I have always been helped in less than 5 minutes. The staff is always helpful and make sure I don’t have any questions about my prescription. I have recommended them to others who need compound products, including semi-glutides and terzepitides.

Negative experience: The pharmacy does a fine job of filling prescriptions, but is not accessible for followup support. Leaving phone messages or texting (as advised) does not result in return phone calls. Because there are other compounding pharmacies that offer better support (such as Stark) I will no longer use MCP. This is not a one-off, in my experience.

Negative experience: Really irritated. Ive used this pharmacy 3 times. First time I picked up my meds. Last 2 times I had it shipped. They need to fix their website. My billing address is not my shipping address. But they will send my prescriptions to my BILLING address. Last time this happened my prescription was stolen because they didn't send it to my shipping address. I called and texted, there was nothing they could do. They didn't even believe that they sent it to the wrong location until I showed them the proof. $300 down the drain. ---Fix your website---

Negative experience: I went to pick up pre-paid prescriptions and was surprised to learn they were no longer available. At no point did the pharmacy communicate that the medication had to be picked up by a specific date or it would be returned to stock. Since the expiration was six months from the issue date on previous bottles, I had no reason to think there was a short pickup window. Their text notifications are very generic and simply state that a prescription is ready, without any mention of deadlines. They told me the stock was put back and re-sold but I was not given a refund from them. I needed to contact the office that sent it in and it would be up to them. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was quite rude and dismissive when I tried to understand what happened, rather than being helpful or empathetic. Overall, it was a very poor experience, and the lack of specific communication regarding pick-ups along with cold customer service was extremely disappointing.

Negative experience: I was able to get what I needed but had a very frustrating experience getting it. I tried to complete my purchase through the link I received by text but there was no option for local pick up so I had to go in person since I didn’t want to pay $15 for shipping on top of the pricey medication cost. When I paid, I was told that someone would contact me when my medication was ready. After four days I tried to call to get an update but no one answered the phone or returned my voicemail. The next day I tried emailing but also did not receive a response so after almost 10 days I went in person again to get an update. When I went in person I was able to get my order but would have appreciated an update if it was taking longer to fill or more communication up front if it was something that would take some time to get in stock because I would have opted to find another pharmacy. I understand that compounded meds are different than getting a prescription from a regular pharmacy but it’s difficult to not feel well and to be waiting for a medication and also have to go in person just to get an update on when they will be ready.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time using a compound pharmacy. My doctor recommended the weight loss shot for me. I had no idea how to do it or how to get myself a shot, but the pharmacy set me down and explained everything. it was a very pleasant experience. Fantastic experience: I've been getting my medication from Midwest for a year and a half now. Only twice have I had to call to talk to someone (not their issue, just questions) and both times the person I spoke to was friendly and helpful. I don't live that close, so spending the $35 for shipping is worth it. I also make sure to order with plenty of time, as their processing can take several days, but it always ships much quicker than that.

Negative experience: My first compounded prescription and first trip to this pharmacy. I found the atmosphere cold and unwelcoming. There was no receptionist or human in sight; a staff member simply brought my medication from the back, already bagged, handed it to me, and said, "I see you've already paid." I stood there for a second, and then was asked if I have any questions. Well, I did! I had no experience giving myself a an injection with a syringe, and especially a compound. I first asked the strength of the medication, and was told "2.5 over 40," which made no sense to me; (a retired pharmacist myself); but I thought I'll figure it out. And that was it. So I just thanked her and left. Maybe laws have changed since I retired, but I thought counseling by a registered pharmacist was required by law to be offered on new prescriptions; and the standard of care includes open-ended questions to the patient.

Fantastic experience: This is my first time going there since my local compounder no longer offers the medication I need. My doctor sent me here. You check in via a tablet by the front door. While you wait to be called, they have a fancy coffee machine. So I got some coffee and soon they called me up. Good experience.

Positive experience: Everyone is nice but it is nearly impossible to find time to get here for the people that work Mon-Friday 9-6 and I don't have the extra 35$ to pay for shipping. I also get text message alerts that just cause confusion. I pay for an order and then a day later I get a text saying I still have an order to purchase. This has happened multiple times and nobody knows why it keeps happening.

Positive experience: EDIT: someone did call me and apologized that I hadn’t been contacted. She did sound like she understood my frustrations, adding a couple stars for calling me back to explain the situation. It sounds like they may have had a typo in my phone number, which I do understand but I think maybe a new system for returning customer phone calls/voicemails is needed? Just my recommendation and opinion! Overall I do appreciate her for calling me after seeing my upset review. EDIT 2: I don’t appreciate the response on here, I can’t stand it when businesses reply to Google reviews in a “matter of fact” way. It doesn’t make anything look better, it makes it look worse. I didn’t receive any sort of communication before leaving a review; it’s not my fault my phone number was put in incorrectly and didn’t receive a call back after leaving 2 voicemails. My prescriber has my number correct ‍♀️ again, appreciate the call I ended up receiving. However, I don’t appreciate their reply I really hate to review a place I haven’t even been able to interact with, but that’s exactly the problem. My prescriber sent in a prescription a week and 2 days ago, I’ve heard not a single thing from anyone at this pharmacy. I’ve called multiple times with no answer, left voicemails and followed the instructions to text. My prescriber has also left them a voicemail trying to reach out to them. Still haven’t gotten a response. I understand being busy, but over a week without hearing a single word regarding my script is so unprofessional. Based on the recent negative reviews I am seeing regarding inaccuracy and not being able to get ahold of anyone, I can’t lie and say I’m excited to do business with this pharmacy if I ever even hear from them. Irritated and disappointed is an understatement. I’m probably going to ask for my script to be sent elsewhere.

I apologize for your experience. I assure you our intent is not to ignore you. Your prescription was received/signed from your doctor 3/15 (a Saturday) and was in hand when we reopened on 3/17. So it was actually 1 week, not 2 weeks and 2 days. Unfortunately, this medication is not available to compound with and needs to be purchased at your retail pharmacy. I show we tried to reach out, but we may have an incorrect contact number. We will once again try to reach you and discuss.

Negative experience: I called to get details of an order. It was explained it would take 2-3 business days to complete. Order placed. Husband called to ask if he could pick up, it was explained to him the same. Paid $35 shipping. Guess what, I received script, FedEx the next day. They rec. and shipped within 12 hours. I am so angry we paid shipping when we were 20 minutes from them. Later, the same day of my review, I did receive a phone call from a representative of MW COMP. She and I discussed concern. I appreciated feedback. Because of her (reaching out) I would change my rating to a four star. It shows me she cared.

Teresa, I appreciate your frustration. However, you have not yet received your order as indicated above and your order has not yet been delivered as of 9:30 on 2/14. You were told please allow 2 to 3 days. Here is the information for the order you placed: Date 02-12-2025 20:05:22 CST. We routinely process orders until late in the evening. The order was received on 2/12 at 8pm. It was processed that night. Your order is now out for delivery today. That is 2 days. I am not trying to make light of the situation. However, we have to give a time frame for processing. There are instances many times out of our control such as medications out for testing and we cannot release them until the outside lab indicates so. Our goal is to under promise and over deliver. We did not even over deliver in this case. We simply provided the medication within the specified time frame as discussed with your husband. Most patients are very happy with our process. Although we always look for ways to improve, I am not convinced we were not truthful as you indicated in your previous email this morning. In this particular case, you posted a 1 star review and did not even give us an opportunity to speak with you and try and resolve. Please at least give us that opportunity to discuss this with you over the phone or in person. A representative from the pharmacy will be reaching out to discuss.

Negative experience: I use Mounjaro - the bottles are not full enough to get full dosage as necessary. Also my last shipment was short. The prescription was for 4 ml and I received 2 ml. I have called was put on hold and then the call was dropped twice. I have since texted my request for the balance of the prescription— I will see what happens. Be aware of this company!!

I am sorry for your experience. However, there are a couple of things that need to be addressed. First of all, your prescription indicates to use as directed by your prescriber. There is no way for us to know what your doctor has told you to do. Therefore, it is not possible for me to validate if you are using the medication correctly. Also, this medication was filled almost 30 days ago. You are now indicating that 1 of your 2 bottles of medication is missing. In all fairness, this should have been brought to our attention when you received the medication and not 30 days after receipt. Please call the pharmacy so we can address your concerns and make sure we can address them appropriately. We always go out of our way the take care of our patients. Please call and ask to speak to a pharmacist and we will get you taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Great for medications that must be compounded. Good staff. Difficult to call on the phone and their hours are short M to F opens I think at 9am closes at 5pm.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with my experience with Midwest Compounders Pharmacy. They contacted me very quickly after getting my doctor's prescription, and it was very easy to use their website to make payment and get the information needed to get my prescription ready. Their staff were very helpful and took plenty of time with me to be sure I knew about my new medication and how to handle it. I would recommend them very highly!

Negative experience: 2nd UPDATE: The owner says I was offered a refund. I never was. The owner says I refilled 3 times knowing it was only a 4 week supply. That is false. I received the first two prescriptions not realizing it was only 4 weeks dispensed, I simply did not check. For the last refill yes I knew, and confronted staff at the time and no refund was offered. They just said they would relay my concerns to the owner. I needed the meds, I can’t just go off cold turkey it’s not safe. So yes I knew for the 3rd prescription hoping they would male it right. UPDATE: speaking briefly with the owner and working a chaotic 13.5 hours some of my outrage has been absorbed. I must still advise caution when doing business with MCP and the one star review will stand. It’s a pretty cut and dried case of a $300 ripoff, that the owner is a pharmacist is irrelevant. Possibly the $200,000 settlement they paid in 2012 for filing false claims on behalf of service members to the government is irrelevant (Google it). To be sure I asked a couple of pretty smart people about the situation to make sure I was NTA. I was reassured that I am NTA and I was justified to be this upset about it. Hopefully I can steer customers away who may save money and annoyance by going elsewhere. I work with incarcerated individuals and people with personality disorders so naturally I encounter mind games cons and gaslighting on the daily. There is no option for talk, no more room in my life for convoluted explanations. There is only action, or inaction. The fact is I was told I would get a 6 week supply of semaglutide for $300. When only 4 weeks was dispensed someone should have told me or adjusted the price accordingly. I went to a lot of trouble to switch from Reflexmd to MCP, getting an appointment with my PCP and having her write a prescription so it’s not just the money it’s my time. I was very busy carrying on with my life as one does in the USA and I did not read the box until last week. I work hard for the money and I have no problem paying what was agreed upon for the amount of goods or services I was promised. That someone feels entitled to keep the $ after I alerted them to the situation, that I do not already see a refund on my card says all I need to know

Unfortunately, you are making this difficult and impossible to resolve. You were contacted personally and continued to tell me how busy you were and did not have time for any conversation regarding your displeasure. I personally called to handle this situation, but you refused to have any discussion for any resolution. Your comments make it impossible to respond based on patient confidentiality requirements. Let it be known, you were contacted, and you refused to discuss. We dispensed your medication according to your provider’s directions. You also continued to fill your order on 3 separate occasions knowing this was a 4 week supply. You also had a specific conversation with a pharmacist and were offered a refund on your 3 refill, but you refused. This is a very confusing situation, and your comments are very misguided and not truthful. Simple math, ie 3ml dived by 0.7ml equals 4 with a remainder of 0.2. This was the amount you received on 3 separate occasions. That is a 4 week supply, not 6. Again, I am trying to take the high road. Unfortunately, public forums often result in complete and utter hatred with no reasonable way to respond. I am sorry for your experience and wish you better luck moving forward.

I can appreciate your frustration. We receive many calls every day with regard to delivery times by USPS mail. Your prescription was mailed within 24 hours of receipt. You opted to not pay for quicker shipping via UPS or FedEx. I again apologize, but we have no control over the mail service.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for over a year. The people are great. When there was a shortage, they communicated that and were helpful in finding another compounded pharmacy that might be able to fill my scripts. Once they were able to fill my script, I immediately went back. Thank you Midwest Compounding Pharmacy for everything you do!

Negative experience: Called to ask a question about getting a prescription for my cat. The woman who answered the call talked over me while I tried to give her the information all while claiming I didn't have the correct info. She put me on hold for 30 seconds and then hung up.

I assure you we did not intentionally hang up. Unfortunately many times if cell phones are used, the call can just drop. The reception can also be bad and it may sound like we are talking over you, but that would certainly not be intentional. As the owner, I apologize for any misunderstanding. Fantastic experience: Midwest Compounder Pharmacy was a bustling and friendly location. The pharmacist was incredibly helpful, providing excellent service despite the busy atmosphere. Additionally, there was ample parking available, and the option for convenient curbside service made the entire experience even more efficient. Negative experience: I made it one star because there is no way to give a zero star review. Now three sets of voicemails over 2 weeks to get our new pets medications refilled. ZERO call back… ZERO TIMES any one including the operator has answered the phone. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE.

Negative experience: Horrible service. I called before I dropped my prescriptions off to make sure they were able to fill them. They said yes and let me know it takes a couple days. I dropped off my prescriptions to be compounded. A week went by and I hadnt heard anything. I called to check and the woman I talked to was rude and unapologetic. Its now been 2 months, my scripts still have not been filled. I am off those medications, and my health has been suffering as a direct result. This pharmacy's negligence and poor customer service deserve no stars.

I am sorry for your experience. However, there are a couple of issues that need to be addressed. First of all, your prescriber is responsible for providing a workable prescription. The way your prescription was given to us, is not workable. This medication is not compatible and cannot be made the way it was prescribed. We have documented that the prescriber has been contacted multiple times and we have not received any response. By law, changes to the prescription cannot be made without prescriber authorization.

Secondly, the unavailability of medications has been an increasing problem over the past several years. We are at the mercy of the suppliers. I appreciate the fact that you have been without medication, but this medication has not been available to us for over 2 months.

I am not sure who was rude or unapologetic. I assure you this is not the way we do business and as the owner, I will always do anything in my power to make things right. Please call me directly and I will do everything I can do to help you.

Fantastic experience: With the shortage of Amoxicillin and having a sick kid (both ears infected) who wouldn’t take the initial Rx prescribed by the doctor, Midwest Compounders Pharmacy was truly a superhero! They were so helpful, so nice, offered to bring the Rx out to the car and even offered to work on a Saturday. In todays world of staff shortages and just issues in general, it’s good to know people like this are still present! Us mommies appreciate you so much!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing pharmacy. Super friendly and efficient. No long wait times, they just fill it on the spot. The whole city can be out of something but they will take care of it. This pharmacy was recommended to me by Walgreens, so thats saying something. A place like this brings a huge peace of mind especially when you have little ones who need their medication. So so glad I found this place.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience at Midwest Compounders when we couldn't find amoxicillin anywhere due to a shortage. Fantastic experience: This place has been a blessing in disguise for our 2 month old son. He suffers very badly from reflux and is also 1 month premature. He needed a specific dosage of a reflux med that with regular insurance at a well known grocery store pharmacy in the area was going to charge me over $300 for. This place is only $60 and they specialized it with vanilla scent so my son would take it Easier. Plus we were running out last Friday and I realized at the last minute we needed it filled. They stayed open an extra 10 min for me to be able to pick it up. I am forever grateful. My sons reflux is manageable now because of them! Thank you so much! Fantastic experience: Midwest Compounders Pharmacy are by far one of the best compounding Pharmacy's I've ever dealt with. They put the best interest of the customer first every time. Every time I call they are polite, the orders are done in a timely manner, if you haven't filled and your script is getting ready to expire they call and check on you. I recently had ordered a three month supply and shortly after my Dr changed my script. I no longer needed the three month supply. Midwest Compounders was more than generous in the way they were willing to work with me so I would not be out all the money I just spent on the three month supply. I would definitely recommend them and their services!!!

Fantastic experience: We have been using Midwest Compounders for years! They have always been welcoming and willing to answer any question I may have! My daughter's have multiple food allergies/intolerances and they have always been willing to figure out what works best for us, ingredient wise. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

It is unfortunate you feel as though you had a poor experience. I have tried reaching out to you, but have not received any response. Just to clarify our policy, in order to provide exceptional quality and service, we cannot ship out products without payment. Upon receipt of any prescription, we always contact the patient to verify delivery or pick-up. This is done usually within 2 to 3 hours of receipt. If you contact the pharmacy, I will personally make sure you are taken care of.

Fantastic experience: This is the place to go, the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and friendly they had my prescription ready within a couple of hours and then explained it to me in detail as it was a new medication for me. They were down to earth, accommodating and treated me like a priority.

Negative experience: Most Inept Pharmacy on the planet. Unorganized (lose prescriptions often), inconsistent (prescription is different consistency every month), rude (could care less about serving their patients). Not worth your time or money. Just go somewhere else.
