The time, the collective knowledge, and the consideration that the entire team puts into your well being is truly refreshing. Five stars is an understatement. Negative experience: I don’t think their office staff understands how Medicare works. I received a call today stating I had an appointment tomorrow—which I absolutely do not. Not only was the date incorrect, but the call was full of unnecessary and frustrating questions. For example, they asked me multiple times what insurance I have, even though that information is already required when scheduling an appointment. Then they repeatedly asked if I had any additional insurance—at least five times—which I clearly answered. To make matters worse, they told me Medicare doesn’t cover chiropractic services, which is completely false. I’m currently on the phone with Medicare and also chatting with a representative, and they confirmed that chiropractic services are covered. The real issue is that providers in Maryland(mostly Montgomery county) often choose to bill a certain way, which creates unnecessary confusion. I’ve already dealt with another provider double billing me for visits, so I’m very familiar with how this process should work. I can’t even rate provider in terms of care, because I haven’t seen a provider yet. But based on my experience so far, the front desk staff deserves a 1-star rating at best. It’s unacceptable to call with less than 48 hours’ notice, get the information wrong, debate a patient about their insurance, and talk down to someone who clearly knows how their coverage works. If someone is paying for insurance every month, they likely know what it includes. This kind of behavior is exactly why people lose trust in healthcare providers.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Gabriel for the past five months for chiropractic service and I honestly can't say enough good things about him as a person and my patient experience. From the moment I stepped into his office, I felt seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. He's not just an incredible doctor—he's a compassionate healer who takes the time to understand what you're going through and find/offer resolutions that deliver results. Gabe’s approach is so thorough and thoughtful. He never rushes appointments and always explains what's going on in a way that's easy to understand. I’ve had experiences with other providers that felt transactional—Gabe is the complete opposite. He listens. He remembers the details. He checks in. You can tell he truly cares about his patients as people. Thanks to his guidance and hands-on care, I’ve seen real progress—not just temporary relief, but real healing. Every session with him feels like a step forward, and that peace of mind is priceless. If you’re looking for someone who’s knowledgeable, attentive, and sincerely dedicated to your well-being, athlete or not, Dr. Gabe is the ONE. I feel incredibly lucky to have found him. He’s the kind of provider everyone deserves but rarely finds. If you are reading this review, this is the point where you should go ahead and book that appointment. Trust, your only regret will be not making it sooner.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Matthew Lee is a true professional of his craft and why? I walked in as a gladiator thinking my experience would be painful and unbearable. Instead, he listened to every complaint I had, carefully assessed the way my limbs were functioning, created a plan, and trained me on how to perform the exercises. In addition to that he did the cracky backy thing and all I felt was bliss. He is more than deserving of 6 stars.

Fantastic experience: I've had an outstanding experience with Dr. Gabriel Guzman Mercado! From the very first session, he made me feel comfortable, supported, and truly listened to. His expertise and personalized approach to my recovery have made a huge difference. Not only have I seen real improvement in my mobility and strength, but I’ve also gained the knowledge and confidence to continue progressing outside of sessions. What sets him apart is his genuine care and dedication. He takes the time to explain each exercise and treatment, always adjusting to fit my needs and goals. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and runs smoothly. I always feel like I'm in good hands. If you’re looking for a physical therapist who is knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly invested in your recovery, I can’t recommend Dr. Gab enough!

Fantastic experience: I wrote a review after my first visit and want to write another review now because Dr. Cheryl Lee-Pow is a miracle worker. On my first visit she fixed my ankle from barely being able to walk to perfectly normal again. After this visit, she was the only doctor who identified that my headaches were caused by an injury and a cervical condition. Since then, her and her team have been helping me through this condition. The office is nice and clean. The staff are friendly. Dr. Cheryl Lee-Pow is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. If it wasn’t for her, I’d still be suffering from headaches and not knowing why.

Fantastic experience: I initially went in for an acupuncture appointment with Dr. Yan but when I explained my pain to her she asked Dr. Cheryl to come take a look at my x-rays and Dr. Cheryl referred me to another specialist who uncovered what my orthopedic surgeon of her 9 years wasn't able to. The entire team has been with me through 2 hip replacements within the past 3 years. They single handedly put me back together after all my procedures. I owe my mobility to them. She will push you because she knows you have it in you. Don't give up on yourself because she won't. Book an appointment with them. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lee-Pow has taken care of my chiropractic and resolving sports injury needs for a decade. I spend a lot of time doing physical maintenance on myself, but there are times I do something I can't get myself out of and need a professional. It had been a couple of years since I had visited, and a few days ago, I injured my back in the gym. She got me in the same day and asked detailed questions to confirm the source of pain vice jumping in with a bunch of assumptions. Over the course of the appointment, Dr. Lee-Pow worked to resolve the complex set of issues that caused me to hobble in the door. The physical therapy team conducted a demonstration and walkthrough of a stretch I will need to do at home to mitigate a reoccurance. While not in-network, PowHer Chiropractic is my goto source for recovery. I have also recommended them many times to friends and family, and they have experienced the same level of expert care. I can not give a higher recommendation than Dr. Lee-Pow at PowHer Chiropractic. I added the sunset picture because life was beautiful after Dr. Lee-Pow fixed me up and got me pain-free. Life is good!

Negative experience: Do not waste your time. I used their online booking system ZocDoc. One of their doctors was not in network. But according to both ZocDoc and Cigna- Matthew Lee was in network. But then they called almost 24 hours after I had booked an appointment, submitted insurance and thought I had an appointment that Matthew was NOT IN NETWORK. Now I have to start all over again and try to find another chiropractor for my son. If they had integrity they would have kept the appointment and took the insurance while they were figuring it out on there end.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to see Dr. Matt or Dr. Cheryl for years now. Quality care! I usually go for monthly adjustments to keep everything in alignment.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with my recent experience. Apparently, the practice has moved since my last visit and the person who answers the phone and schedules appointments somehow failed to mention that important piece of information to me last Friday when I called to schedule an appointment for Monday. The same front desk staff person then proceeded to tell me I should have received an email confirmation with new address or some sort of bulk email that went out to all patients which I never received. I guess she was trying to absolve herself of any responsibility for actually doing her job. I distinctly recall reporting this issue of not receiving appt reminder emails last year. So, I had the pleasure of first going to the old location and the driving around in circles when I finally got to the new location trying to find a building marked 4 Taft circle. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve had an issue with the admin staff but it will definitely be my last. I won’t be going back after this experience. As I was leaving I noticed a cloth-like vertical banner blowing back and forth in the wind and a few small signs which I certainly didn’t pay any attention to. Maybe you should ask the building owner/ landlord to place the number 4 somewhere on the building like the other marked buildings.

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff and practice

Negative experience: Dr. Cheryl was amazing at healing my upper should pain and supporting my knee pain recovery. However, I was shocked at the way one of the physical therapy assistants treated me. I am a person of size (at 300lbs) and was treated extremely unprofessional by them. The assistant continued to laugh when I explained that I didn't have enough upper arm strength and to support my body weight for a crazy move he wanted me to do. He kept laughing at me so I asked is there an accommodation for this movement? because I was scared my knee would give out since that was the reason I was there. Once he replied no, I got up and headed out. The assistant then went to another patient and said to them "oh she said shes done with it and shes leaving" while laughing about it. Cheryl and the assistant called me and made an effort to "apologize" but they only said "sorry it made you uncomfortable, sometimes we push to hard" and when I stated "no, that is not why I was upset, it was extremely unprofessional to have a culture in your practice where people laugh at you and talk to other patients about your progress or you". She then responded with "I know that employee is a jock and meant no harm...."and then continued to justified his actions without really acknowledging how unprofessional their culture was. I was really bummed out because I really wanted to support this practice, but I can't put up with unprofessional people and a negative environment for people of size. I am shocked at how they treat others who are of size or have limited movement abilities. Dr. Cheryl was great but the fact that she was unwilling to see how unprofessional this was really makes me question her practice. I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: All of my visits have been wonderful and I feel better each time. Dr. Lee-Pow is the first chiropractor I have ever used and I plan on keeping her as my doctor. After my first visit, I left her office feeling brand new again. She listened to to what I had been experiencing and went to work on my problems. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing chiropractors for the past 10 years. In the other chiropractor offices, I feel like a doll going back to a factory reset. In this office, I feel the doctors are really trying to understand the cause of my discomfort, treat and educate me how to prevent them. Most of my pain come from exercising and working in front of a computer. Both doctors in this office are athletes. Dr. Matt is a perfectionist in terms of exercise forms. He corrected many of my exercise forms. He also prescribed many exercises for me. He modified the exercise plan according to my progress. Over the past year, with his help, I am feeling stronger and more flexible. I have a teenage son who is a high school soccer player. Every time he is injured, I would rush him into the office and get him fixed in a few visits and then he can get back to soccer field. Dr. Matt always teaches him how to warm up, stretch, and get stronger to avoid future injuries. Dr. Cheryl also found that one of his x-rays shows low bone density which was not reported by the radiologist. I sent the film to another radiologist for second opinion. He confirmed Dr. Cheryl’s finding. This finding completely changed my attitude toward my son’s passion of weight lifting which may increase his bone density during this crucial growing time of adolescent. I am very thankful for their professional skills and dedicated effort on treating my family.

Fantastic experience: I was having bad back spasms & Dr. Cheryl got me right back into shape. I'm a cyclist & aerobics instructor. Dry needling helped me tremendously & the skillful chiropractic work & massage! I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Before recent surgery, I had been doing great, started walking 4 to 6 miles a day. Now, because of immobility on my right leg in particular, experiencing great pain. However, I have great faith that Pow-Her Chiropractic will get me back into shape just as before. The caring and skills are phenomenal.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Lee-Pow for over a year now and it has made an incredible difference in my quality of life. I have joint damage from years of untreated celiac sprue and a serious motor vehicle accident as well as fibromyalgia. Dr. Lee-Pow took the time to really examine my injuries and learn my medical history before she ever touched me, and reevaluates me regularly. She makes me feel very confidant that she is tailoring her treatment to best fit my needs. Every time I leave her office, I feel incredibly better. The adjustments themselves do kind of hurt and she does also expect you to meet her halfway by better taking care of yourself through a healthy diet and recommended exercises, but the treatments themselves really do make a world of difference. Every other staff member I've ever interacted with has always been wonderful as well. I really can't recommend this practice enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at POW-HER for many years off and on, and can say without a doubt that the doctor and staff are the best. The doctor spends a lot of time with you on your first visit, unlike many others. My back, neck, legs and foot all belong to her trusted hands to make them better and she knows what to do to get me up and moving. She makes sure you get the best possible treatment based on your condition. Going there is money well spent and time well used for your health. Anyone that says anything different & conflicting maybe a little whacky, and they do exist. You just cannot help but love her, and all the skills she has to offer. She will go out of her way to help you and others who may not be covered under insurance. She is passionate about her practice. I would totally recommended Dr. Cheryl to anyone who needs a Chiropractor. She is truly the best!

Negative experience: This chiropractor office is a complete scam! I went in for my first appointment and paid $60 which I confirmed with them that would be the only amount I would have to pay. I actually was told that if my insurance covers part of it I would get a refund. Turns out I called for a refund a few months later to learn that I actually owed a couple hundred dollars because the $60 was only a deposit for each appointment. Each appointment actually costed $235. And they added many services on the claim that were not specified or performed, causing my insurance to deny procedures exceeding 4 per visit. They claimed 6 procedures per claim even though they only did two. I was also injured at my latest appointment when the chiropractor further aggravated my injury, and I was offered no refund for the mistake. These people are total pricks and they will go out of business with business practices like this.

Fantastic experience: Tremendous overall experience with friendly, knowledgeable and patient staff. Dr. Cheryl as I call her, has done wonders helping me decrease pain and increase range of motion in what had become a most problematic left shoulder/neck injury.

Fantastic experience: As a still very active 37 year old with a long list of sports-related injuries I've seen many different providers and tried all sorts of therapies for various injuries over the years, and Dr. Cheryl offers the best possible mix for me. The combination of Chiropractic, deep muscle and tendon therapy and other alternative treatments has been the most effective I've tried to date, and she excels in each category plus has a great staff to match. In a single visit she can relieve pressure from herniated disks in my cervical spine, continue to treat my now-improving Achilles tendonitis and relax my ever-tight IT bands, so I can be free to beat up my body for another week; highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Pow-Her Chiro is amazing. It's really full service - chiropractic (including ART & Graston), acupuncture, massage, personal training, and nutrition. I love that they work with athletes (or wanna-be athletes) and understand overall health & fitness. I love that they host events on health and wellness. They are interested in my personal fitness goals and help me develop a plan to achieve them. When I am injured, they come up with an effective plan to get me back out an running as soon as I'm healthy enough. I highly recommend Dr. Cheryl & her team!
