Fantastic experience: This is actually Lawrence Bomberger. The young gal that performed my ultrasound was fantastic. From the time I walked in, until the ultrasound was finished, she was professional and friendly. We chatted the whole time, which helped with awkwardness of what she was doing. Positive experience: I felt I could have called in my visit. The staff was friendly but it was like they were just checking off boxes for me. Last visit an A1c of above 6 got my Metformin increased and I was told to test my blood sugar daily. This time my A1c was 6.7 and it was fine. Katie didn’t ask about my daily blood sugars. The cognition test was weak. Nurse took my vitals but no one checked my heart or lungs or did a hands on breast exam or my abdominal area. From the visit I really don’t know if I am healthy.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I both have had surgeries here at LRHC. We have always been very well taken care of by the nursing staff. They are caring and professional. They made us comfortable and explained the procedures, recovery, and after care so that we understood and felt at ease. We will always recommend LRHC.

Negative experience: An example of over priced outrageous healthcare. My son had a cut on his finger. got xray and stitches and was charge almost $1500.00. Charged 300.00 for emergency room and then over 500.00 for professional fees. 800.00 for admin charges. Unreal. Did not expect this in Nebraska. Once I complained they took $200.00 off. Get real. Very disappointed. No other options this is price gouging. Regular urgent care would not have been more than 400.00. Not 1200.00.

Fantastic experience: I chose to return to Lexington Regional Health Center from Colorado to have my left knee replacement done after having such a positive outcome there with my right knee 5 years ago. LRHC did not disappoint & exceeded my expectations by leaps & bounds! Everyone, from the clinic schedulers & nurses to the surgery staff, anesthesia, nursing staff, physical therapy, Dr Schopp & Travis Barkmeier did a fantastic job of getting me worked into their schedule and providing me with medical care that was friendly, kind, caring & very professional. I couldn’t have had better care by better people anywhere & with such an amazing outcome. LRHC is definitely a first class facility with first class care!

Fantastic experience: My husband was a patient at LRHC recently. We were so impressed with the quality of care he received while he was there. From listening to the patient and helping our family every staff member was fantastic to work with. Understanding our circumstances the staff made sure we had everything we needed.

Negative experience: Amateur Hour but in a hospital. They were about to discharge me from the ER without cleaning any of my wounds. Threw a gauze pad on top of it then were about to let me go. Luckily my mom and brother were there or I would’ve been discharged with a bloody and dirty road rash. If it weren’t for the excruciating pain I would’ve sucked it up and gone to Kearney Regional’s ER. This hospital is a huge joke with a punchline that hurts more than amuses.

Negative experience: I recently had a very disappointing experience at this hospital. The staff was incredibly unprofessional and it was clear that there was a lack of proper training and leadership. The head nursing, in particular, was extremely rude to employees and seemed to have no regard for professionalism or respect in her interactions. During my visit (a friend was the one needing assistance at the hospital) Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism at this hospital. It is clear that there are serious issues with the staff and leadership that need to be addressed in order to provide proper care to patients and create a positive work environment for employees. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone in need of healthcare services.

Fantastic experience: On May 16 of 2024, while traveling on a 10 week RV trip, I became ill at the campground a short distance from the Lexington Regional Health Center. I went there seeking treatment. Ryan, the nurse, immediately got me situated and began working on finding what was going on. Dr. Albin was my doctor, and numerous tests were being performed. Other staff members, Dane, Shelby and other diagnostic team members whose names I don't recall, all played a positive roll in my care. From the tests that were done, it was determined that I had a kidney stone. This facility doesn't have the expertise in this area of medicine, so Dr. Albin immediately made a recommendation for CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He spoke directly to the urologist at Good Samaritan, and medical transportation and surgery were set up for that night. The level of care and compassion at Lexington Regional is outstanding. When you aren't feeling well, you put a lot of trust in the hands of your caregivers. When the caregivers are not your normal care team, that is a big ask. The team at Lexington came through for me that day, and I will forever be grateful for their knowledge and compassion. Thank you team Lexington!

Negative experience: Muy mala atención , hay un solo cuarto para las personas que llegan en emergencias, llegas con un dolor y tienes q esperar a que limpien o desocupen el cuarto para poder atenderte , muy mal lugar para venir de urgencias

Negative experience: One of the worst hospitals in Nebraska. When to the emergency room today… door was close. I call the number the nurse was so disrespectful. I wish I can meet the person work today and give her a big hug….. maybe she need it….. and probably give her some tips to be more respectful….

Fantastic experience: Everyone, including the lady at reception (Sarah), the nurses, the PA (Travis) and the orthopedic surgeon (Dr. Schopp) were first class. A very professional group that I highly recommend! Our community is blessed to have this level of health care.

Negative experience: The doctors and nursing staff are pretty decent for the most part. The billing department on the other hand is a complete train wreck. They are pretty clueless in there.

Negative experience: Quite a scam they're running someone needs to notify the attorney general if you apply for financial aid they turn you down and than suggest that you get a loan from a bank they just partnered with to pay you're bill when I informed them I wasn't working due to my illness and had applied for disability they told me I didn't matter they had never seen anyone turned down I'm calling attorney general for state of Nebraska tomorrow about this

Fantastic experience: I have had the privilege of meeting Dr. Milhailidis, a visiting physician from the Callahan Cancer Center in North Platte. She is a fantastic oncologist! She had all of my records (including those from 1997!!) reviewed before she came into the exam room for my first clinic visit! She treated me respectfully and patiently in my decision to have a very major abdominal surgery at UNMC last year. My family and I are so grateful for her guidance. ❤️❤️

Negative experience: Is the least veteran friendly facility that I have been to if you need care you better off going to Good Samaritan hospital in Kearney

Negative experience: I went to the ER with chest pain and tightness, shortness of breath, cold sweats, and general weakness, also lung pain. They used an outdated EKG and did just a couple of blood tests, then sent me on my way. Said nothing was wrong. I don't have transportation to go elsewhere either. I'm feeling worse now. The doors to the ER are also kept locked and you have to wait a bit to even get inside. They don't care about saving lives, just making money.

Fantastic experience: Lexington Regional Health Center continues to amaze me with the progressive mentality, state-of-the-art facility and technology, and evidence-based care. LRHC strives to provide high-quality, cost-effective healthcare in our community so patients don't have to travel.

Negative experience: Just go to Kearney or any other place, even in an emergency. The doctor treated my father horribly and extremely rudely in urgent care while he was in immense pain, and was totally unprofessional, and even brought in his dog without alerting us. We later ended up going to Good Sam and actually got the help and emergency surgery that was needed. Stay away from this horrible, overcharging facility, keep your loved ones safe.

Negative experience: I went into family medicine and I was explaining my symptoms and I was told I was going to see a Make doctor (I don’t remember his name) but then the nurse told me it’ll be a little bit before he comes in he went to the hospital to check on a patient ok no problem but then shortly after Tara lawless walks in which I would not prefer from previous experience ask me what’s wrong I tell her she steps out for three mins and say everything looks good while I’m coughing and wheezing right in front of her now I’m up at 1am coughing my chest out and trying to breath cause I have asthma

Fantastic experience: Review of Out-Patient Surgery Pros - Out-patient surgery staff was friendly and efficient. - Allowed to wait in patient's room instead of main waiting room. - Allowed to stay until patient felt ready to leave. - Staff offered drinks and warm blanket for family waiting. - Clean and fairly new wing of the hospital. - Called to check on patient a few days after surgery. Cons - New system so check-in was long and frustrating (check-in lady was not attentive which took longer). *Can't comment on cost as this varies by insurance company and your plan.

Negative experience: No atienden en emergencias!!! Mi mamá estaba a punto de dar a luz y le dijieron que todavía le faltaba y la pusieron a caminar 3 horas. En verdad que mal servicio espero que pronto lo cierren.

Negative experience: Watch out - you are paying for their remodel! They will overcharge you for every single thing! Even our doctor warned us, and we unfortunately, we learned the hard way. A eight minute surgery incurred over 1.5 hours worth of “extra” charges. Conveniently, three and four minutes over what is written on charts so they can charge an extra $500, but “they are certain” that you incurred those charges despite charts from the surgery day showing their times don’t match what is billed. Ask for proof and they will threaten to charge “new found charges” that they didn’t charge before and refuse to give a straight answer. Never have I ever listened to explain away or make threats when asking legitimate questions. A billing “specialist” will also tell you that she’s “wasting her time” when you inquire of the inaccuracies. Very interesting when that is her JOB. I suggest you document every single thing that happens, as it happens, in writing and pictures so you have hard proof and documentation of their false charges. Or better yet, stay away from this disaster and go to a real hospital.
