Negative experience: Zero Stars. This rating is based on 2 refill requests that were not filled as requested in the last 6 months. The prior 10 year relationship with the pharmacy has been excellent. Pharmacy shipped me empty medication container with no applicator as requested via a direct telephone refill request with pharmacy staff. They charged me $86 for the empty refill container and at this time they are not facilitating a process to get me the medication ordered. It appears that the pharmacy may be under new management. Sadly, I will need to find another pharmacy with more efficient and effectual processes to resolve such mistakes.

Fantastic experience: I have genetic polymorphisms which make me sensitive to excipients which are typically used in many compounds. My sensitivities caused me to think there was a problem with the formulation Stanley had prepared for me, and I left a detailed message: expecting , frankly, not much response. I was wrong. Kendra investigated, called me back, and took the time to explain things clearly, and let me know that they'd be happy to make adjustments in the future and tailor the formulation to my specific needs (no flavors, coloring, etc.). Kendra's explanation led to my Doctor and I being able to figure out how my genetics had impacted my response (salivation), and thus better understand how to manage my own complex medical needs. Her diligence and care changed me from a "won't come back," to feeling these were people I could trust with my health. The particular compound they made for me actually compensates for specific polymorphisms, which restores my HPA Axis function: so its critical for my functioning. As I often travel to Europe, it's critical thet my meds work right so I'm not stuck out of the country and unbalanced. As a neuroscience researcher, I understand the complexity of compounding, and believe Stanley is a place you can trust. They're clearly committed take care of complex needs, and work with you if you have difficulties. That's exactly what makes compounding so important for folks with critical health needs, and why I will use Stanley again in the future. As my neuroscience work began after retiring young from a Costco corporate career, I also understand customer service very well. I believe Stanley covers the bases in both complex compounding AND caring enough to kindly take care of complex patient needs. Keile (if spelled wrong: my apologies) was also a terrific example of someone who cares about customers. As a retailer, I spent a lot of time addressing customer difficulties. The way Stanley handled mine: they earned a great review. ;)

Negative experience: I agree with some of the reviews below. "If you want a pharmacy that lacks communication with its customers then this is the pharmacy for you." Every time I would request a refill, it would take too long to get it when most of the time I was nearly out -- on top of that, other compounding pharmacies I use for other medications take half the time. I also asked to speak to a manager of pharmacist on the phone to discuss the needed for my prescription (because I was out). Not only was I not able to speak with someone, the employee hung up on me after putting me on hold when asking to speak to a manager or pharmacist?! The customer service is not pleasant or helpful. Also the way they filled my medicine there was not a good way to tell if it was almost out based on the color of the tube, material, and the mechanism of retrieval. If you needed a medication early they also charged you alot more. Overall medications take way too long. Very disappointed and will not be using again. Will only use other compounding pharmacies in the area for my needs.

Fantastic experience: I got there right before they closed and they accommodated my prescription even though it was not ready yet. Friendly and professional people. Place can be a bit hard to find as it's in a L- shaped commercial center but the good prices make it well worth the drive.

Negative experience: If you want a pharmacy that lacks communication with its customers then this is the pharmacy for you. I was told this was the only pharmacy known to compound a specific medication that I need. Every time I would request a refill, it would take weeks to get it. Every time I called I'd get the excuse that the items needed were on back order. They were asked numerous times over the past year to please communicate issues with me, and their response was we don't notify people every time something with a prescription changes. This lack of communication has cost me to go with out medication several weeks at a time on a few different occasions. The most recent issue was I requested the refill, never heard back, and when I contacted them they told me there was an issue with my Rx being expired. I asked them why they did call me to tell me this, and I got the same answer as mentioned above. I then called my doctor to have it resent. I went a few more days and still heard nothing. I called back a second time, and they told me it was called in the wrong way. I again asked if they could please commilunicate with me with any issues so I can try and get things fixed in a timely manner. They still refused to communicate with me. I finally found another pharmacy that could handle my needs, and they got my rx and fulfilled the order in a 3 day span, where as it has been 4 weeks with Stanley trying to get it filled. I will never use Stanley's again!

Negative experience: Called yesterday and they said come tomorrow after 3pm and will be ready. Today arrived ~3:30pm and was not ready. They said a mistake was made. Told me 30 minute wait and they took over an hour. Lastly, they do not accept insurance and other compounding pharmacies in the area do.

Negative experience: Prepaid for medication for pet, 2 weeks later after multiple calls. Calls not being answered after being on hold for 20 mins or more, don’t know if medication is ready. Pharmacy has not notified me. Quick to notify vet called in prescription and payment required. Pet needs this compouned medication!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at the pharmacy, thanks to Kendra in customer service! While I was waiting in line, I watched her handle several difficult patients with incredible patience and professionalism. Negative experience: Multiple times had issues with the phone system and prescription not being ready on time. Seemed like things were poorly managed and very disorganized. Eventually moved to another compounding pharmacy in Huntersville. Did not have a good overall experience.

Negative experience: I’ve been filling my dog’s medication here for a year. They were never friendly and the turnaround time was five days for our rx. The price recently went up because the dosage changed. We’re using less. They told me the price went up because it will take longer to use since I’m using less. I switched pharmacies. The new place has a two day turn around time and they are friendly. A friendly employee can go a long way.

Negative experience: I have never worked with a more negligent business. My cat has hyperthyroidism and my vet sent her prescription here to be compounded. I have filled 2 prescriptions here and have been waiting for my 3rd refill for over a month even though I’ve already paid for it. I have had issues with every prescription I have filled here. They don’t answer their phone, they don’t answer their emails, and they don’t seem concerned their patients’ wellbeing. I have to get my vet to call them if I want any traction to be made on getting my prescription refilled and it’s honestly ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: The people who work here are PHENOMENAL. I had a slight emergency where I needed a compounded prescription the same day (it usually takes up to 72 hours). They made it happen and I never felt like I was an inconvenience. The workers seem very very busy, but it never reflects negatively on their customer service. Negative experience: The young lady by the name of Kendra on the answering the phone on monday morning @ 10:30 am 11/20/23is very unkind. She is clearly not happy today. I am calling from a doctors office and I am shocked at the customer service I am so blown away at the level of service this young woman is providing. Than Placing me on hold for 30min because I am asking for help. We need to be kind! Where is the kindness?

Negative experience: My veterinarian sent a prescription for my to Stanley Specialty Pharmacy on a Saturday morning. Monday morning a Stalney's employee called to say the medicine would be ready by 1p on Tuesday. I drove 40 minutes to pick up the medicine on Tuesday and waited in line behind a woman who's medicine was not ready (employees were flustered and took 10+ minutes trying to track down her order, find out what happened, and then arrange shipping to her house). When I got up to the counter... surprise, surprise, my dog's medicine was not ready. I was basically given the same treatment as the customer in front of me and agreed to have the medicine shipped overnight, even though this would mean another night of my dog feeling unwell. I paid for the medicine in the pharmacy, however after I left and drove 40min home, I got an automated text message asking me to pay. I called the pharmacy and told them about the text message, and wanted to verify that they had my payment on file and the medicine was scheduled to ship out by 4:30p that day. I was assured that yes they had my payment, and yes it was scheduled to ship out in a few hours. This morning I got another text message asking me to pay, I called again and this time they said they had my payment but no the medicine hadn't shipped out yesterday. The girl on the phone was argumentative and basically acted like she was doing me a favor by arranging for the medicine to ship out tonight. She had no explanation as to why it didn't ship out yesterday other than "there are no notes on your account". The medicine will arrive to my house roughly 43h after I originally expected to have it, so my dog has felt unwell for an additional 2 days (if it actually arrives tomorrow, and I'm not at all optimistic that it will). Based on this experience (and the fact that they also didn't have medicine ready for the customer in front of me, which tells me this is not an uncommon experience), I will not return. If there is any urgency to your prescription, and if you prefer to interact with organized and courteous staff members, I would suggest finding a different pharmacy.

Positive experience: I use to love Stanley pharmacy! You could call them and speak to someone. Recently, no one answers the phone after 10+ minutes of holding for the past few months. Makes it hard for providers and customers to interact with the pharmacy. Wish they would fix this so I could continue to use them. I will have to search for another compounding pharmacy.

Negative experience: I had special eye drops called in Tuesday that were $150. I was instructed to start immediately. I was called Friday and told that it was “shuffled around” and they would work on it and get it to me the following day to my home. It is now Monday. I received a package and everything is thawed and not useable. I have yet to get in touch with anyone regarding this issue. I have no useable medication and am out $150.

Negative experience: Meds ordered were supposed to be packed refrigerated. When they came, they were warm, soggy, and useless. Order at your own risk. Returns are way more trouble than they're worth.
