Externally I appeared to have a healthy diet and exercise routine but something was just off, and several doctors I appealed to for help just shrugged it off. When I first joined, I was suffering from terrible menstrual symptoms that took a toll on both my physical and mental well-being. Terrain helped me to discover what true health meant for me as an individual. Prior to becoming a member of Terrain, I was experiencing excruciating pain that brought me to a low point mentally. When seeking help from my gynecologist, I was told that birth control was my only option. Thankfully Terrain Clinic provided me with just that. Starting the 6-month program with Dr. Gallante was the best decision I could’ve made for myself and the start of my family. Dr. Gallante made me feel seen and heard. All of the issues I had experienced over of the years, she made note of and addressed. If I had any concerns about testing or supplements, she answered my questions and made adjustments that worked for me while achieving my goals. In addition, Jen, the nutritionist, helped me come up with a diet/lifestyle change that I could sustain long term. Positive experience: I have been patient of Dr. Galante for about 6 months. She has done an amazing job working on my personal health issues. I highly recommend her to anyone as she is a great practitioner, a great listener with lots of knowledge. Most of my issues have been resolved and I was really looking forward to a life long commitment with her until the below happened. Definitely 5 stars to her. This review is mostly of her billing team. I have had few instances with them that haven't been very positive. First off, I used to have ALL communication with Dr Galante via her portal, including setting up follow up appts. The office took her off the portal without informing her patients. I had to reschedule an appt, and I couldn’t find her on the portal anymore. So I assumed there was something wrong with the portal since ALL my communication has always been with her and never with her staff. I waited a day before my appt to see if this issue was fixed. Finally called her office to reschedule the appt. Stephanie (her billing team) wanted to charge me $75 cancellation fee to not giving them “notice”. She failed to acknowledge that I had been trying to get in touch with Dr Galante for over a week. Long story short, after going over the river and through the woods, Dr Galante acknowledged that I wasn’t my fault and indeed the office failed to inform all pts that we as patients will no longer have direct with Dr Galante and I was fully refunded. Great, no problem. Now I am clear for next time. In Dec 2021 my membership ended with Dr Galante and because she is so amazing, I still wanted to continue. I informed her I was probably going to start again late Jan to early Feb for another session. She sent me a questionnaire to fill out that includes the kind of membership, and all the cost associated with it. I verbally told her what type of membership I wanted but never signed the questionnaire. I had a lot going on in Jan with move, last min husband deployed, etc, so I didn’t want to continue until later in the year. Well Guess what? I was charged automatically early Feb without me signing anything. I noticed the charge a few weeks later and messaged Stephanie that I need a refund since I didn't sign anything and never set up an appt. I even said to keep the credit on file for when I am ready to schedule. But no, it has to now or never. The office originally decline to refund me stating it’s the office policy and gave me long spiel. After back and forth, they finally refunded me. I CLEARLY informed them not to charge until I am ready to schedule and to take my credit card from the file. They assured me that this would not happen. Late March, (a few days ago), I got an email saying there will be charge for the membership early April. At this point, I was frustrated with them but still kept my composure. I sent an email to Stephanie asking why am I getting charged again. She and Dr. Boyd sent me a message saying this was an error. And I will not be billed. I said great, no problem. Well guess what folks?? There is a charge of my CC that I noticed this morning. I have never ever written a bad review. My intentions are not to give this office a bad reputation, but to let them know that there is a huge room for improvement. I am a bit sad I will not continue with this office due to the miscommunications.

Fantastic experience: Dr Galante is the first doctor I've ever seen that has truly taken the time to listen to me and my symptoms. She is always so affirming while also giving me clear, science-backed advice and protocols. Before working with her, I was feeling so disillusioned about my condition, but after working with her for 6 months, my symptoms have all shown improvement, which is why I am so grateful to be able to keep working with her. Fantastic experience: I started working with Dr. Galante and Jen (nutritionist) in Fall of 2021 after a recommendation from my friend. I am so glad I did! Immediately, Dr. Galante started addressing some core areas after a few tests and we decided to focus on gut, food, and lifestyle adjustments. Fantastic experience: I sought help from Dr. Galante after experiencing a pregnancy loss in 2021. Since I was “advanced maternal age,” I wanted to optimize my egg quality and do everything I could to conceive a healthy baby naturally. Dr. Galante taught me so much about my cycle, ovulation, hormones, etc. She works with a wonderful nutritionist whose recommendations I implemented while trying to conceive and even once I became pregnant. With Dr.’s Galante’s help, I conceived naturally at age 40 and am in my second trimester. My first ultrasound couldn’t have gone better! I’m so grateful for Dr. Galante’s knowledge and faith that women can get pregnant naturally with the right support. It takes the right practitioner and team to find the problem and patiently treat the true underlying cause of fertility challenges.

Fantastic experience: When I first saw Dr. Boyd, I was suffering from a host of digestive issues, had gained lots of weight, and was on an extended short term disability because of my illness. My GI doctor gave me a bunch of medications that didn't help. Dr. Boyd was a life-saver. He listened intently (a quality that's quite rare in today's physicians), ordered the proper labs, referred me to a nutritionist (Jen is awesome by the way), gave me supplements, and got to the root of my problems. Today, I am 25 lbs lighter, stomach issues gone, and feel my best. Dr. Boyd really cares and cheers you on when you make progress. I can't recommend him and his clinic enough!

We have been working for about a year to resolve 2 auto immune conditions, one of which is very difficult, and have made steady progress. Dr. Galante is responsive, kind and deeply knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough kind words about my experience with Dr. Galante and Terrain Clinic. I sought Dr. Galante’s help when I was ready to try conceiving my second child. I have PCOS and conceived my first child through the help of Metformin but was adamant that I not take this medication this time around after learning more about potential negative side effects. When my former OB/GYN diagnosed me with PCOS, she gave me the prescription, gave me a hand out about an extremely low carb diet, and recommended that I lose 10 pounds. I am tall and naturally thin and have been a healthy weight all my life, and the restrictive diet was just not realistic for me. Dr. Galante’s approach was completely different. In our initial visit she asked tons of questions about my diet, my energy levels, my menstrual cycle, my mood, etc. The conversation felt very natural, and I felt like Dr. G was truly invested in me and my health. We did a comprehensive hormone panel, and when she walked me through the results I had a much better understanding of my specific type of PCOS and how my hormones were impacting my health. Through small lifestyle and dietary adjustments and a few supplements, I was able to improve my energy levels and mood, and most importantly conceive my 2nd child without any prescription drugs. We have just entered the second trimester, and baby and I are both doing great! Dr. Galante is so caring, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Fantastic experience: Fantastic Dr. Robert Boyd. He's a great teacher! Just a wonderful Doctor! I came to him to improve my health after a botched medical procedure and was treated by regular doctors who know nothing about nutrition and health other than writing prescriptions. I came to heal with Dr. R. Boyd through my acupuncturist. He is helping me overcome my infections and get healthy in my gut microbiome. I am learning from him and he is teaching me how to improve my health naturally through food and supplements. I was always into natural healing. Fantastic experience: Dr. Rob and the Terrain Clinic are exactly how you imagine real doctors are when you’re a little kid: Very smart people who listen and create a plan to heal you. As we all learn, most doctors or medical centers do not focus on learning about you, listening or even healing you. You have 15 minutes for vitals to be checked and a prescription to be written.That was my experience after a surgery and I was told to check back in 6 months to “see if I was good” or not... I met with Dr. Rob to find out if there was any opportunity for me to play a more active role in my own health instead of just waiting around with my fingers crossed and I learned there was! I am so grateful for having met Dr. Rob and highly recommend him for anyone who takes their wellness seriously and wants to heal.
