Fantastic experience: Heron Med Spa provided exceptional service during the process of onboarding me for my procedure and the procedure itself. Barbara spoke to me at length to make sure I understood all the instructions she personally designed for me I.... she wanted to make sure I understood all the instructions prior to and after my procedure. She was most patient and answered all my questions. Carla was a carbon copy of Barbara. Oh and let me not forget to mention the man of the hours, Dr. Heron. Weeks prior to my procedure, Dr. Heron also called me to follow up to make sure I understood the process, he was patient, knowledgeable and put me at ease. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Heron and Carla took the time to sit with me and my husband to explain all that was about to take place and made sure they had exhausted all of our questions. The procedure was easy peasy and I experienced no pain, just a little discomfort. Dr. Heron talked to me throughout the procedure and told me what he was doing as he was doing it. I trust my desired outcome will be successful because I trust Dr. Heron and will do exactly as instructed post-op.

Fantastic experience: I had absolutely the best experience at Heron Medspa. My first contact was with Barbara. She was very sweet and extremely knowledgeable. She was even concerned that I might not be the right candidate to see dramatic results, but I assured her, that I really want this. Meeting Dr. Heron was equally pleasant. I felt very safe, heard and informed. The procedure itself was easier than I thought and that was because of Dr Heron and his staff. Truly wonderful people. I am still in recovery, but my results are already BOMB! I wish I done it sooner!

Fantastic experience: My experience was awesome… they made me feel very comfortable and confident to be a patient under their care. I started at 155lbs and my goal was to go down to 130lbs .. Negative experience: ⚠️ Stay Away from Heron Med Spa — Unethical, Manipulative, and Untrustworthy ⚠️ This review is written to protect other women from being scammed the way I was by Heron Med Spa and Dr. Roy Heron and his wife, Barbara Heron I paid a $1,000 deposit to secure a cosmetic procedure. I followed every instruction they gave me. I submitted my full lab work and physical exam on June 6. I was told I’d be contacted to schedule my pre-op but they canceled my appointment multiple times, never rescheduled, and then tried to blame me for being “non-compliant.” Here’s where it gets worse: ➡️ Their own written policy says the deposit only becomes non-refundable AFTER a pre-op is completed. ➡️ I never had a pre-op, never saw the doctor in person, never received ANY medical services. ➡️ They are still refusing to refund my deposit, even though no service was rendered. ➡️ They even deleted their own emails by marking them confidential in Gmail hbut I have screenshots of everything. I’m currently in the process of filing formal complaints with the Virginia Department of Health Professions, the Better Business Bureau, and other regulatory bodies. Legal action is also being prepared. Cosmetic surgery requires trust, transparency, and care. I experienced none of those things here. Instead, I was gaslit, disrespected, and financially taken advantage of. If you’re considering going here: don’t. If you’re a woman hoping to be treated with dignity and professionalism this is NOT the place. I’m posting this to hold them accountable and to ensure no one else goes through what I did. I’ll be sharing the full timeline, receipts, and proof across platforms until this is made right.

Fantastic experience: Happy Camper Here!!! Dr. Heron and Barbara took such great care of me during my 360 Thigh Lipo procedure. Barbara and I were a great team working my surgery prep and getting all my forms, medications and post op procedures together timely, prior to surgery. Dr. Heron listened to my goals, and provided me with realistic expectations. I felt comfortable in his care and safe throughout the procedure. I'm only 2 days post op, and already back on my feet and moving around like normal. I can't wait to see my final results as my body heals over the next few months. Fantastic experience: I had liposuction, today, with Dr. Heron. I couldn't be any happier. A few mishap during the preparation, NOT the Dr's fault. I don't think the staff communicates between themselves im a timely manner. Lia, Dr Heron assistant was awesome, gave me the calm I needed as I was a bit nervous. I highly recommend Dr. Heron, I'm sure I'll be back in the future

Negative experience: As one review stated botched. First off Dr.Heron is not recognized by the board of plastic surgeons. So if you are looking for a snatched contour body with BBL you will not get it. During the procedure I still experience pain. The bottom line for the money you spend you’ll better off going to MIA or Atlanta. The office communicates in the beginning is great to get you to secure your $1000 deposit for surgery but after your procedure good look with a follow up appointment in person.

Negative experience: I did not receive adequate service from this establishment. I purchased 60 units of Dysport injections for just my forehead. (Keep in mind that I usually receive only 40 units for my forehead and it is effective at completely freezing all areas of my forehead). 3 weeks later and I still have significant movement in my forehead, I can barely notice a difference. therefore they either did not provide me with all 60 units, did not administer the 60 units properly, or diluted the 60 units improperly. Also, Dr. Michelle mentioned to me that should would be "conservative" to which I responded that I have done this before and would like to have all 60 units that I PAYED FOR. I asked her to put a few units in another area, which she totally forgot about or ignored until I reminded her after she told me I was done. I mentioned to her that one side of my forehead was stronger than the other and asked for that side to be emphasized in treatment. 3 weeks later that side is still significantly more mobile than the other side (which is also mobile and seems untreated) She also mentioned to me that because I used a Groupon they would not make a profit, which I considered very unprofessional. The staff was friendly, but I will not be returning as I feel scammed.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. At first I was hesitant bc of all the hoops you have to jump through (a physical, bloodwork) but I am SO SO glad i did it. Amazing staff, Doctor, great results and very affordable. I feel like a new person!

Fantastic experience: Simply the best thing I could've done for myself. My results turned out wonderfully. Dr. Heron is a remarkable talent and makes you feel extremely at ease and wants you to be happy with your results. He is very genuine, and does not come across as scripted or fake. Just a great person and experience. The single best thing about my Liposuction surgery is that I have a waist now. Before the procedure, I had rolls of fat and it was very uncomfortable wearing things with button waistbands. My clothes now fit better and I feel better in them. Honestly, I could not be more impressed with how smoothly the procedure went and how pleased I am with the results of surgery. The contouring gives me definition to my sides that I never had before. Even with all the workouts I've done, I could have not achieved this sculptured look without Dr. Heron performing my surgery so well.

Negative experience: My first mistake was to buy a Groupon for this “fly by night” med spa. They have an unprofessional anesthesiologist doing facial injections at night . She has no idea about balance, symmetry or placement. I ended up with severely drooping eyes, filler on the inside bridge of my nose, and a divot line on my lower face. She added fullness to my lower face without balancing my cheeks creating a chipmunk effect. They have kids at the front desk that aren’t trained and have attitudes. They have no one answering the phone so it takes 48 to get a response. Stay away from this place.

Fantastic experience: From the Virtual consult to the actual procedure I received nothing but the utmost respect and professionalism. Dr. Heron took his time and explained everything to me. He answered all my questions and advised me to take my time with my final decision. His office staff Starr and Jennie also took their time to answer questions, schedule lab work and were available via text, phone and email. Not to mention Mrs. Heron who I felt that I had known all my life, was exceptional with communication which made my decision easy. Her bedside manner made the day of the procedure go very smooth as we’ll. They took their and explained everything to me again. It’s a lot to retain so going over things again made a huge difference and it puts your mind at ease. I felt as if they dedicated the day and the spa to me. No one was in a rush. Mrs. Heron even followed up with me that evening and the next day. Even with a little swelling, I noticed a difference almost immediately. Belly (muffin top) was gone! I’m over excited with my results!

Fantastic experience: I have been returning to see Barbara to help me remove my dark spots in face. I haven't taken care of my skin as I need to protect it. Barbara has been using a laser treatment. Every time I go in, she works on different parts om my face. I feel much better looking in the mirror and not seeing those dark sun spots.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Myers performed under-eye procedures for me to address excessive fat loss in that area that had resulted from massive weight loss years ago. She used threading combined with Restylane injections, and the results were amazing—in fact, better than when I underwent an “under the knife” blepharoplasty back in 2008, and for much less money. No pain, no knockout anesthesia, plus she was really pleasant and somehow even managed to be entertaining while she was setting back the clock! She is truly an artist and just a nice, fun person. Great staff too, and the owners of the place are great people as well.

Negative experience: I scheduled a procedure the dr made a decision not to do my surgery because he didn’t feel comfortable in doing it the day of and they charged me fees they lied to me anyone who has had similar experiences please reach out to me I will be taking this to small claims court and bbb they are money hungry and can’t admit they were wrong. The dr can’t remember conversations he had with you his assistant seems to be running things. I spent a lot of money I couldn’t afford to lose... but I will deal with this Dr Haron God don’t like ugly..... if I can help anyone else let me know.... I don’t like people who take advantage of people and that’s what this office does...also they have their own friends putting up good reviews....

Fantastic experience: I notice a lot of interesting one star reviews. Some of them are just dumb. I felt compelled to share that I came here for Botox 5 times while living in Old Town. They did such a good job that I’ve considered visiting them when I’m in town versus the places where I live. Why do most people feel compelled to only post negative (often exaggerated sounding) reviews?

Negative experience: Attention! Please stop! Dont you even thinking about having any procedures done at this place!! I went here for fillers and I came out looking worse than I did when I came in. This so called doctor made me look like I had not had sleep in about 40 years! He made my eye area look horrific. It look like i had been punchef in my eyes. I had to go somewhere to fix it, fast! I told him. I never ever looked like this in the past when I got fillers. His response was it's just swollen . It will go down by the next day or so, which it didn't! This man does not know what the hell he's doing and his lice xe should be revoked , if he even has 1!If your looking for a botched job this is deffiently the right place for it!!!

Negative experience: Very bad service. Spent over 6500$ at this place and have sagging skin from using laser improperly. Now I have to deal with the decision I made for the rest of my life. Please do your research on these doctors and procedures.

Negative experience: First off, I asked the day of the surgery to NOT be recorded, I did not want the whole fb to know I was getting a private procedure done, it hurted like hell and I was to embarrassed to say anything because they were recording live, when I went home and read the comments, it was so embarrassing to me, people were saying things like, why would anybody do that, she is wasting her money etc.. I thought people had hippa rights to protect them from this type of stuff, also while recording the tech would read comments out loud and respond with saying oh they just hatters, so unprofessional, they told me it was for learning purposes but why do it have to be on fb. So humiliating

Negative experience: I had laser lipi done and it left me disfigured. I went to see a Real Plastic surgeon and was told the massive scar tissue was from using the laser lipo too aggressively. I was treated as if they did me a favor. I had less than 2.5 inches of fat but now I am bigger from all the scar tissue in my abdomen. I spent 6000.00 with horrible results. It will cost me over 12,000.0 to try and correct this. Please go to a real Cosmetic Surgeon for this procedure.

Fantastic experience: I went for my consult today and I must say I wish I could have had had my procedure today. He educated me on everything that's involved with the procedure and informed me of what was in or out of his reach. I felt so comfortable and also blessed to know that he is not going to just take my money. After being told on three different occasions that i needed a tummy tuck with just two inches of fat, Dr Heron assured me that was incorrect and I would have been ripped off. If you want a Md that cares and is not just interested in money I recommend him highly he's awesome and so is his staff.

Negative experience: DON'T BY THE DEAL COUPON AND EXPECT THE WORST FROM THE BUSINESS SIDE OF THIS OPERATION. Went in for a consultation because of a Living Social coupon, Got charged $25 for the consultation. Sat through a 3 hour sales pitch with three others and unveiling to assess the areas I wanted Lipo on in front of the doctor and his wife, who is not a medical technician. She was all talk and smiles until questions about pricing came up. (I did not mention the Living Social voucher to see how they would price me before purchasing the Living Social.) I was priced $1200 more for three areas. When I called them out on it, I got everything but the kitchen sink thrown at me and they faulted me for choosing to pay using the Living Social voucher and that the Dr. would get paid so much less for the procedure. But isn't that the agreement they made when offering a deal through Living Social? I was very nice when inquiring about the $25 they charged me (and not other customers) for the consultation, and was nice even when they priced my friend, who I referred, differently, But I got the short end of the stick when after going to get my labs done, they canceled my procedure 5 days before the procedure for discussing how they price. From other reviews, this was not the first time they didn't honor the Deal coupon and canceled the procedure. But every few months or so, they are offering another deal on Amazon, Groupon, or Living Social. DON'T BUY IT. Shop around for a trusted establishment who offers a good price upfront and who is good enough to not have to offer deals or coupons in the first place.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Heron was referred to me by a friend. He did a little som-som for me and I have never felt more confident. He did an incredible job on me. He is great! All thumbs up!!
