Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to X-cel Fitness in Prairie Peak for over 5+ years now, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health. The gym has everything you could ask for — plenty of equipment, a clean space, and an atmosphere that makes it easy to stay consistent and motivated. What really sets this place apart is Kurt, the owner. He’s always kind, welcoming, and takes the time to greet people. That personal touch creates a relaxed, friendly environment that makes you actually look forward to coming in. Over the years, I’ve made my best progress here and seen the best results by showing up consistently. I’ve even brought friends and my partner along, and they’ve all had the same positive experience. Everyone I’ve introduced to the gym says the same thing: it feels like a place you want to keep coming back to. It's my home away from home. I plan on being a member for the foreseeable future, and I can’t recommend X-cel Fitness enough to anyone looking for a great place to train with an owner who truly cares.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area, without a doubt. As soon as you enter, you’re immediately part of the family, and are greeted by their amazing staff and other guests. We have always received amazing service and help when needed. Their gym is pretty well equipped, and the machines are in good condition. I love the separate room for heavy lifts and more space for stretching, bodyweightexercises etc. I make sure to stop by whenever I’m in the area, and if you are able to, you really should as well. Big recommendation.

The gym also offers personal training and group training. Curt Dahlen is the owner and he is experienced and investing in the gym. Positive experience: This gym is fine. It's clean and the machines are well maintained. They have a good variety of machines and plenty of treadmills. Their water fountain is great too. A variety of fitness levels can be found here which makes a more welcoming atmosphere. I've really enjoyed living a half mile from a gym. However, it is small. The squat racks are usually all full, especially during busy times. I think there are probably too many personal trainers there. Sometimes it feels like the gym is being taken over by too many personal trainers with their trainees. They have a wall with all of their personal trainers which doesn't help this vibe. The music selection is not good and is too loud. You can still hear the gym music even if you have ear buds in. Even my husband how is okay with more pop music than I agrees that the music selection is not good and is too loud. High schoolers are too loud and are not asked to be respectful of others. This gym might be bribing their patrons to give a 5 star rating with a free t shirt

Fantastic experience: Affordable and in a good location. The location is constantly improving. They are currently in the process of building a new squat/lifting room with new equipment. The owners and staff are very polite and they take good care of the gym - it's always clean and equipment is always in good condition.

Fantastic experience: I did CrossFit for many years. I am getting older now, but still want to be able to lift heavy things. This gym has the equipment needed to do this. It is super convenient. I can work out whenever I need to(have the time) The owner is very passionate about fitness as well!

There is always a great balance of enough people to make me feel like I'm part of a workout community but not too many people to make it feel crowded. Ulrick has been my trainer for a couple months. He does a great job of pushing me while understanding where I am in my fitness journey. Ulrick not only works with my on resistance training, but also includes nutrition and overall goal setting. Fantastic experience: Been a member for just under a year! Joined the gym to find a place a little bit more quiet but still have all the equipment! Love the fact that the gym is open 24/7 and also has access to a turf area for workouts. Gym is always clean and the members are all respectful of eachother! Fantastic experience: I have been working out at Xcel Fitness with Ulrick for a few months now. The gym is clean and well-maintained. Ulrick is a great trainer who has really helped me get into shape and improve my diet. When an exercise triggers knee or back pain, he gives me modified versions that don’t cause pain. He’s very good at pushing me at a reasonable pace. I always leave the gym feeling tired but accomplished and ready to come back for my next session.

Fantastic experience: I worked with trainer Ulrick for ~6 months last year and it was the best money I've spent in years! Ulrick held me accountable and helped me get back into the swing of the things. The gym is always clean, well-equipped, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The biggest positives for me have been the separate bonus room with three power racks and that the gym isn't overly crowded, even at peak hours. Looking forward to being a member for the foreseeable future.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional overall experience at Xcel Fitness. Curt does a great job and takes pride in his gym. Always very responsive with any questions or concerns, doesn’t matter if it is in person, email, phone he is very professional and informative. The 24 hour access is perfect for a schedule that is hectic. All the equipment is taken care of and do see some new things from time to time. The gym is kept very clean as well. If you are not looking for all the bells and whistles of a gym and just want to come in and get a good workout in, this is the gym.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym for anyone who wants to get in shape or stay in shape, all walks of life and all stages of fitness are represented in the gym every time I’m here. Very small and friendly environment, with everything you need, but none of the frills you don’t need that you’re normally charged big money for. I’ve done quite a bit of personal training through the gym as well, the owner is very professional and responsive, very much a family environment, Curt has created. I also love the annual Murph workout on Memorial Day weekend, I have brought several of my children to participate and you get a free T-shirt as well. :-) I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to start or continue their fitness!!

Fantastic experience: I reached out through the website and within minutes heard back from the owner, who passed my message on to the manager, Karen. I was able to make a same day appointment to tour the gym and sign up through my insurance at work. The gym has a lot of equipment that is very clearly taken care of and clean. They have a wide range of equipment, and I really appreciate its open 24 hours.

Fantastic experience: Xcel Fitness is an awesome place to train. It has great equipment, is always clean and organized, (even at the end of a busy day.) The gym is open 24 hours a day, which is useful if you have young kids that make a regular schedule difficult to maintain. Furthermore, my experience with other members has been fantastic. Whether I was getting a workout in at 5 AM on a Monday or 9 PM on a Friday, everyone has been extremely considerate and friendly. Curt and company run a tight ship. Personal Training: I came to David Iten as a 40 year old dad who needed to gain functional strength and avoid any injuries that would hold up my progress. As a beginner to resistance training, David Iten was the perfect fit. Straight-shooting, knowledgeable and motivational. Working with David was a pleasure from the start. We met for an initial strength and mobility assessment and discussed my goals and availability. David didn’t hard-sell me, just explained what his plan would be based upon what I wanted to achieve. David would be extremely useful for a more experienced trainer as well - his passion for training and nutrition is limitless. A simple question about training regimens or technique would prompt a thoughtful and multi-faceted response from David (all while he’s counting your reps and making sure you’re nailing your form.) I can’t recommend Xcel Fitness and training with David enough. He increased my confidence in the gym, built my strength from top to bottom and was always fun to be around. The gym, atmosphere and staff are top notch.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been consistently working out for 11 years and this is by far my favorite gym I’ve ever used. I’ve been a member for over a year now and it’s consistently clean, Curt (the owner) is always present, new equipment comes in to refer the space and most importantly it’s a mix of people with different levels of fitness with the common goal to stay healthy.

That week I set up a tour with one of the trainers and afterwards knew it was what I was looking for. Clean, affordable, 24/7 access, and a great variety of equipment to suit most all types of training. The owner and trainers are all friendly and don't pressure you into buying private training or supplements. Easy to navigate, typically no waiting for equipment, and an all around positive atmosphere. All fitness/skill levels can feel at home here. Great mix of members.

Fantastic experience: As I was heading into my mid 50s I wanted/needed to get more exercise in. I wanted a place with some functional fitness space and equipment, some free weights and some traditional machines. I also was on a budget so needed to be conscious of spending. I know I wanted a good community but not some RA RA cult like crowd. I wanted good support from staff but I did not want to be upsold on programs and personal training packages.. I also have a crazy, ever changing schedule so I needed flexibility. Xcel Fitness meets my needs and wants in all categories. If your life sounds a little like mine and if you are looking for a fitness home. I recommend giving Xcel Fitness a try. I know I am glad I did

Additionally whenever I am at the gym they are friendly and happy to give pointers. This gym has everything you NEED and them some. Squat racks, number plates, all the free weight, cardio equipment (rowers, skiers, treadmills, bikes, etc) and benches. This is the best quality gym and value membership you can find around!

If you’re just looking for a place to work out, you can find that at Xcel. If you’re looking for a supportive gym community that helps keep you motivated, you can also find that here. Having taken advantage of all Xcel offers in the last few years I can’t recommend it enough. This place isn’t just any gym!

There is a variety of equipment and pieces are changed out occasionally offering something new. What I love about Xcel is that there is a wide range of client ages and the gym clearly meets the needs of serious athletes and slackers like me. Personal training with Curt Dahlen has been great. My workouts are thoughtfully tailored and when I can lug around a bag of dirt in the yard or lift heavier boxes without injury - it’s a direct result of my training. Xcel is a place where the entire staff is interested in helping you achieve a healthy level of fitness. No fads, no hyper trainers - just a pleasant, welcoming place staffed by professionals.

Fantastic experience: Very awesome and friendly owner. Was able to work with month to month and flexible with charge type. No banking info required, which is a big plus in my book due to security concerns. Oit here for summer training. Hands down one of the best priced gyms with 24 hour access. Clean facilities, clean equipment, community oriented. What more could you ask for? Wish California had more of these. Curt knows how to run a business
