Dr Swickard is who I see is very professional helps me in anyway he cans as to things that could help me in other areas or other doctors or something that he feels will work for me. Fantastic experience: Best chiropractors to ever treat my conditions—thorough and competent! I travel and golf a lot and developed hip and low back pain. The treatments definitely help. Kind and helpful staff too. HIGHLY recommend shockwave and decompression treatments/therapy. The shockwave cured my chronic pain from a degeneration of SI joint. I had pain from it for years and was a little skeptical about trying these therapies but so glad I did. Life changing!

Fantastic experience: This is the BEST CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE I have been to in decades! of having chiropractic care! I see Dr. Brett there. Last month, after 5 weeks of 24/7 pain in the cervical & thoracic area. I went to CURIS & after the 1st visit, it actually allowed me to walk out differently than I had walked in. I slept through the night and finally fell "human" again. Dr. BRETT does ultrasound & adjustments on me. My pain started at my neck, down to my thoracic area & wrapped around the rib cage to my sternum. He knew how to treat the sternum & abdominal area to help with pain there as well. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for about a year and I’ve loved every appointment! The staff are very friendly, kind, and they know who you are when you walk in. Now I am 38 weeks pregnant and I’ve been coming here my whole pregnancy and it’s pretty much the only thing getting me through, I get adjusted and acupuncture and it’s completely completely gotten rid of my sciatic nerve pain and pretty much all my pain. They are awesome doctors that know what they’re doing and help get rid of any problems you have especially pregnant so if you’re pregnant, I definitely recommend going!

Dr. Brett has come along side me to help improve my movement allowing me to enjoy the things I love to do, camping, kayaking, horseback riding, gardening etc. Most recently we did a series of dry needling to my lower back area as lower back discomfort/guarded movement has been a norm of mine. I had come to terms that I would live with it going forward in life. Dr.Brett explored with me the use of dry needling. My trust in him and my hope to improve my movement was a green light to proceed with dry needling. I am currently moving freely, pain free!!! I’m enjoying activities even more these days as I’m not guarding my back. The key to continuing good health/life, is a body in motion. Fantastic experience: I originally came to Dr Swickard many years ago with severe back pain. I continued care for a while after he helped resolve the pain and then stopped. I came to Dr Swickard again this winter to evaluate a broken rib. (Much better experience than urgent care and more cost effective!) I continued care while the rib healed and am still receiving regular adjustments. I can honestly say my entire body functions better while having routine chiropractic are. Not only my body, but my mind and my mood are improved when receiving adjustments on a regular basis. He explains everything thoroughly in a way I can understand it. He’s friendly and personable and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you’re on the fence about its benefits, try it! I firmly believe the benefits are much more than just relieving back pain.

Fantastic experience: I first started visiting Dr. Swickard probably 12 years ago and have always had a positive experience. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and have been in a lot of pain recently. Yesterday I could hardly walk because my hip was hurting so bad, so I saw Dr. Swickard this morning and was able to go on a walk with no pain this afternoon. It felt so nice to be able to be active! I highly recommend this office, as everyone is professional and kind… (and if you’re pregnant and in pain, I can’t recommend a visit enough!!)

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Bret. I began having lower left back and hip pain during pregnancy that lingered around even after delivery. Through several adjustments and specific stretches and exercises recommended by Dr. Bret my discomfort is completely gone almost 100% of the time. My initial evaluation was much more thorough than I had anticipated and I got all my questions and concerns answered. Dr. Bret laid out a clear road map of realistic expectations in terms of how long I could expect my pain to go away (for example after the first few adjustments I really only got a few hours of relief before the nagging pain came back (which Dr. Bret told me would happen) but I am now about 10-12 adjustments out from the initial visit (~6- 7 weeks I think) and I am getting through the entire week between visits with pretty much no pain!). If Dr. Bret hadn’t been thorough from the initial visit and laid a realistic timeline for me to experience relief from my discomfort I probably would have stopped going after the 3rd or 4th visit but boy am I glad I didn’t! If you are experiencing postpartum back and hip pain go see Dr. Bret!

Fantastic experience: I have seen a ≈70% posture improvement since first seeing Dr. Bret 4 months ago! My initial evaluation was very thorough, and staff and doctors all talked me through what the process over the coming months would look like, their goals for me, and a comprehensive treatment plan to help relieve neck, back, and hip pain. I struggled with nerve compression in my neck, which led to nerve pain as well as muscle tightness. The muscle tightness led to bad posture, which led to worsened nerve pain, etc ad infinitum. I was given an incredibly-helpful booklet of easy stretches to do at home between treatments, and after just four months my pain is almost completely gone. The photos attached are from my follow up evaluation after multiple treatments and diligent adherence to the at-home regiment. My “effective head weight,” which was causing a majority of my neck pain, is less than half what it was during my initial evaluation. I no longer experience tingling/shooting pains all day and night through my shoulders and fingers. I can fully turn my head in both directions without pain or tightness. This is a friendly team who know what they are doing and work hard to put their patients on the best possible track. Without insurance, my initial visit was a little over $200 and the supportive treatments are $45 each (YMMV). Affordability is important to me as, being a freelancer, I don’t have any disposable income. My time at Swickard has been (and shall continue to be) worth every penny. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough.

He's so charismatic and friendly, there is never an awkward moment. I love seeing him, I'm always so happy when I leave the clinic. Fantastic experience: So I have Spina Bifida Occulta, which means I have a bad back. I hurt my back really bad the other day transfering someone and haven't been able to sit or move with out excruciating pain. I have been to the chiropractor 3 times this week and I can finally sit without pain, stand up from a sitting position in ONE motion, and it doesn't hurt to breath! The best part is i did this without narcotics, no ER visit to get a shot of muscle relaxers, just goid solid chiropractic care. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Coleman and Dr. Swickard at Swickard Chiropractic in Shawnee. The whole staff is so amazing and sweet. I am do glad I decided to give them a try!
