Fantastic experience: I called Dr. Karl Johnson initially to discuss two shoulder injuries. These injuries came weeks apart resulting in very limited use of both shoulders. Like most older amateur athletes I was hoping that the problems would “just go away”. After a verbal analysis we agreed that it would be in my best interest for him to do a full skeletal and muscular evaluation. He also suggested a variety of supplements that would assist in the recovery and place me in a much stronger direction physically. From my point of view I have never had such a thorough physical examination. I was so impressed with his knowledge and expertise. My shoulders are nearly at 100 percent since visiting him and now am able to continue with the physical activities that require just that. Fantastic experience: I had allergic reactions to bee stings and had to go to the emergency room several times. Dr Johnson was able to remove my allergy. I have been stung by a bee several times since my treatment with no allergic reaction. When I have trouble sleeping he always finds and fixes the issue. Fantastic experience: I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Johnson since 1987. I am one of the Doctors first patient's. Dr. Johnson's and his entire staff have always conducted business at a highly Professional level. Dr. Johnson is always straight forward and honest about the treatments he has administered to me. My youngest daughter had asthma, the pediatrician put her on a nebulizer (which she hated). I brought her in to see Dr. Johnson and he was able to correct the asthma with spinal adjustments. My entire family has benefited from Dr. Johnson's care.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Johnson's since 2017. In June of 2022 my husband was diagnosed with colorectal cancer with mets to the liver. I began going through major anxiety and GI issues trying to accept and process everything that was happening as our life entered the "unknown zone". I had been down this road before with the stress and anxiety so I knew Dr. Johnson was the only one that could help me as I was not comfortable with conventinal medicine treatments to help with my anxiety. At one point Dr. Johnson sat down beside me with a suppliment and spoke in a "brotherly love" about how I really needed to try a suppliment to help my body calm down and come to rest. Long periods of stress and anxiety had caused adrenal fatigue and just daily exhaustion as well as immunity issues. A few months later he was able to help me through NAET treatments for anxiety and fear which were the two biggest obstacles I was facing with my husbands cancer diagnosis. NAET is hard to understand for some and may seem crazy but I am a testimony that it does work! Dr. Johnson is always very kind, empathetic and compassionate, goes an extra mile to help me, even texting me on off days to see how I am doing with suppliments. His office staff is also wonderful and very helpful! Sandy who does the scheduling is always very kind and accomodating with appointments able to get me in quickly when needed sometimes even the same day. I always recommend their office to others when people are in need.

Fantastic experience: I have used Dr. Johnson's services ranging from chiropractic, NAED, neurofeedback, to nervous system health for the last 15 years. Every visit has left me in a better state health-wise than I was when I entered.

Negative experience: The owner’s response is untrue (and you can see the tone of arrogance in it - calling a patient a nuisance… this is not the sign of a healer) and I’ll continue to update this with factual information to help others in the search for the best doctor. It’s also important to note, I started asking around on social media if anyone I knew had experiences here. I had other people reach out with negative experiences, who also knew others that had negative experiences or warned of this place. One took their child here for help with allergies (NAET) and didn’t like it, went for 10+ visits. One told me he would answer questions “only I can feel it, you can’t”… After giving me supplements, and then the next day my health condition significantly got worse, (and caused me to go to a legitimate and prominent hospital out of state) Dr. Johnson chose to “drop” me as a patient when I asked for answers, after accepting me as a patient. He made me a treatment plan, sold me supplements, etc. He also refused to answer any of my questions or explain the testing that I had paid for. Is this integrity? I did not get what I paid for. RUN. I am still also waiting for a refund which they said they had to write me a check at home because they don’t know how to refund credit cards or have checks at the office… I will update when I receive it. I also should note, of the 8 supplements he prescribed for me, 4 had ingredients that are known allergies or intolerances for me, or shouldn’t have been given, that he was aware of but failed to notify me of. Don’t fall for the muscle testing excuse… Do your own research! I would give this place zero stars if that was an option. For me, I didn’t want to work with him either after this horrible experience, but it’s the way he went about it and the disrespect, dismissiveness, and complete lack of care or compassion. I should have known when he was bragging about patients he helped and how great he is during the first two appts, and talking about his rich clients. Doctors that won’t answer questions or help you understand your treatment are a huge red flag. He could have just said he was unqualified to help me and I would have respected that. Due to all of this, I felt sharing my experience here would be the right thing to do, because if others would have shared their negative experiences I would have saved time, money, and a lot of undue disrespect. I’m sure anyone who is dealing with a chronic condition values these three things, and wants a practitioner who cares and honors their word/can be trusted in business. I would recommend a more professional place if you’re going to invest in your health. Just think… if he says he never accepted me into his practice after making me a treatment plan, prescribing me supplements and me coming back for my 3rd visit… what will he do to you? He will drop you any time you have questions or something goes wrong. RUN!! One other thing to note - he said I’m a very complicated and complex case (which just the week/2 weeks before he acted like he certainly could handle my case and help me), and tried to use that as an excuse to why the supplements seem to have made me so much sicker… I literally went from minimal chest pain and no breathing issues prior to meeting him and his supplements, to severe chest pain, the worst breathing troubles I have ever had, and have been bedridden 90% of the time. I can no longer drive and have to live with family… I was doing so much better before this doctor got involved. I wish I never met him. Also, as an excuse to drop me, he said I am working with too many doctors… well of course I am, I only recently met him so why wouldn’t I have other doctors before this? I am going through major health issues. He was aware of all of this when making me a plan and saying he could help and it was never an issue or even a conversation… sounds like a cop out because I asked questions and held him accountable. I will say, Stephanie their health coach is really nice and she should work somewhere else where her integrity could shine.

Fantastic experience: I was experiencing moderate knee pain/stiffness for several years before I became a patient at Johnson Chiropractic Nutrition and Neurology. During my initial exam, Dr. Johnson found weak and short muscles surrounding my knees. He recommended Trigenics® and therapies (PEMF and Knee-Trac). After my first Trigenics® visit, I noticed immediate improvement. I was finally able to squat without any pain or stiffness in my knees. Squatting was always a challenge for me because the discomfort in my knees. I have not experienced knee pain while squatting or climbing the stairs, even three years after receiving treatment from Dr. Johnson and his awesome staff! Summer 2018, my 1 year old German Shepard was losing hair and constantly itching her belly. Her vet was unsure what was causing this to happen but thought it could be an allergy to something. She wanted to run tests and put her on medication, but I wanted to see if there was anything else I could be for my fur baby. When I went to Dr. Johnson’s for my Trigenics® appointment, I told him what was going on with my dog. He told me to bring my dog to the office with a sample of grass and water from my backyard. I was a firefighter and hurt my back that year, and visited him as a chiropractor. since that time, I have been blessed to be educated by Dr.Johnson about the world of functional medicine, which has resulted in vibrant health for me. at age 57, I am in better shape now than when I was 18. Fantastic experience: I found Dr Johnson after thorough research and committed to traveling 62 miles one way in search of low back relief. The travel and commitment to visits 2x's a week from Ann Arbor to Utica was well worth the progress we made. Dr Johnson developed a treatment plan that was customized to my condition, balancing Decompression, PEMF, and Trigenics. Periodic adjustments and NCI were also used all of which reduced pain, increased range of motion, and enhanced my general quality of life. Right at the start I was impressed with his desire to learn what was going on with my body, specific aliments, and crafting treatment to suit my specific issues. A scan and x ray images revealed a slight bulging disc which I was not even aware of before my visit. Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr J about 14 years ago with the intention of just getting a better chiropractor. It turned out to be the best medical decision of my life. During the initial visit where I answered many questions on forms and from Dr J, he discovered I had many long term problems and illnesses I had considered just part of life and aging. In addition to long term neck and back issues I had severe digestive problems, sleeping problems, severe inflammation in several joints and high stress issues. After just a few visits it became obvious to me I didn’t have to live with all these problems and the pain associated with them. He initially treated me with chiropractic adjustments, NAET (allergy elimination), supplements and most importantly started me on a path to a healthy, nutritional diet. One major problem that contributed to most of these symptoms was high sensitivity to gluten (wheat). It was slowly stealing the life out of me. I am not going to say completely changing my diet was easy. I ate horribly. I would do well and then backslide. But when I did, I realized just how bad the pain was before starting. During the past 14 years I have had injuries and new medical problems arise. Dr J employed laser, neurofeedback, PEMF, Trigenics® and other treatments for healing and relief. Supplements used to help severe stress caused by major family problems (death, cancer, legal) really helped me to be able to cope with it all. Dr. J fixed 2 injured and bulging disks in my neck and helped my body repair knee and shoulder injuries. I truly believe Dr. J saved me from at least 3 major surgeries and perhaps saved my life. I am currently working on neuropathy with nerve rebuilder. Instead of pain and misery, I now wake up every day looking forward to what God has in store for me. The two of us have now become very close friends and I thank God for the day we met.

Fantastic experience: Dr Johnson is incredible, I found myself inexplicably vomiting every few days. I went to a medical doctor and they couldn't figure it out. When I told Dr Johnson about it, he diagnosed me right away and gave me a few things to take. The vomiting that had plagued me for almost two months was gone in a matter of hours. His facility is pretty incredible as well, whether you are an athlete looking to get better or a person in pain or suffering anxiety. He has the equipment (bio feedback) and knowledge to help. Fantastic experience: I had been having a lot of health problems in 2016. As God's providence would have it, my husband was doing a bicycle spinning class with Dr. Johnson. After my husband talked to Dr. Johnson, my husband became convinced I would benefit from his natural treatments. Yes, it was expensive because it is not, as of yet, covered by insurance. But, conventional medicine was not working for me. At the start of Dr. Johnson's treatment, I found out I had H-Pylori bacteria in my stomach. I could not take the antibiotics as they made me extremely ill. Dr. Johnson said he could help me, and lo and behold, in three months, the bacteria was gone!
