Fantastic experience: VWCC is AMAZING! Nettie is a gem! She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and motivating. Their protocol is scientifically driven and attainable. Nettie frequently reminds her patients that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet! And she's right! Can't explain how much better my husband and I feel. The staff genuinely cares about your success and ensures that every visit you are receiving high quality care. The office is clean, friendly and a place I enjoy visiting. Update- I’m still visiting Netti and STILL seeing progress on the scale. This is the heaviest and lowest in weight that I’ve been since my husband and I got married almost 15 years ago! I cannot recommend VWCC enough! If you’re on the fence, just schedule the appointment! You won’t regret it

Positive experience: I am happy with the results and the information, however, the office hours are not the best! I rushed Friday to make it before 4:45 pm since my duty day ends at 3:45 pm and did not make it! I am coming from Madera and traffic is a challenge. I checked the website and the hours for Friday have been changed.

Además que te ayudan a fomentar los buenos hábitos alimenticios no solo en tu persona si no igual con tu familia también mantienen el control de tu salud bajo análisis clínicos regulares. Fantastic experience: I have always struggled with my weight and the only time I look and feel my best is when I am eating the way Valley Wright Control Center advises. The medical assistants, Registered Nurses, and Doctor are all friendly, helpful, and want what is best for you—to live a long and healthy life. After 3 pregnancies I am thankful I have made my way back to Valley Weight Control Center to get back to what they have taught me in the past and to break my unhealthy habits of eating too many unhealthy carbs. I highly recommend Valley Weight Control Center to anyone wishing to live a healthier (and lighter) life!

Negative experience: I’ve been struggling with weight loss since I had my son and side effects to medications. I had been wanting to see a dietitian for some time, so my doctor suggested I look into Valley Weight Center, as my health network does not provide a dietician in practice. A few of her patients had been there so I figured I would give them a call. I called, made an appointment for a consultation, and upon checking in I was told they didn’t accept insurance but that it was $120 to START the program. I arrived at 8:15am and did not leave until after 11:00am. I was lectured by the physician’s assistant who was giving me the consultation and program breakdown about things I already knew concerning diet and exercise, and also about what foods were “bad, prohibited, and restricted”. For example I was told that I would need to modify my diet so that I was not eating more than a certain percentage of fat and that every carbohydrate I ate needed to be paired with a protein,” so I asked, “ protein like Plain Greek yogurt?”, “ No yogurt,” she responded. Incredulous, I asked, “Like forever?” And she responded, “Not if you want to stay thin and fit”. Furthermore there were major inconsistencies in the diet plan they gave me. For example, the physician’s assistant lectured me about eating whole foods as opposed to processed foods. She used the example of, “if God didn’t make it, man made it and it’s not perfect” or something to that effect continually, yet in the packet, example meal plans list things like “low fat whipped cream with fat free jell-o, low fat cheese, beef jerky, and turkey bacon, etc.” Forgive me, but the last time I checked those were indeed processed foods packed with chemicals and sodium. The long and short of it is, Valley Weight Centre boasts that you’ll be given a program based on your needs and goals. They drew blood, took my vitals, weighed me and then plunked me into a category. It was hardly personalized. Though I am not happy with my weight, I do live a rather healthy lifestyle. However they failed to provide any insight: they didn’t use a caliper or measure a hip to waist ratio, or bother to figure out my body fat percentage before assigning me a flawed and restrictive program that was unsustainable. There was no caloric guideline, it omitted nutrient packed foods such as avocado, whole milk yogurt, whole grains, etc. To make matters worse, even after I told the physician’s assistant that I wanted to think about the program before signing up, I was told I’d still have to pay the $120.00 for a “consultation fee”. This is highly unethical as no such fee was aforementioned when I called to make an appointment nor was it mentioned when I checked in. I was told it was $120 to BEGIN the program. No such consultation fee was ever agreed upon. Hastily I paid it because the appointment was for three hours, ridiculously long in my opinion, and my toddler son was beginning to lose patience. Be weary of any program that perpetuates diet culture, is highly restrictive, and is not upfront about their fees.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! The staff and program is absolutely the best. I have experienced a 40lb. weight loss but, the best thing about this is the improvement in health. Before the education and direction provided by the staff at VWCC, my overall health was poor. I am happy to say that my health is great after just 90 days. This program will help you change your lifestyle but only if you are committed. They offer education, guidance, and a personally designed weight loss plan. The staff here saved my life! If you don't lose weight and improve your health here, it's because you are not trying. All of the staff will support and encourage you along the way. My wife noticed the improvement in my health and is now engaged in the program with me. We are well on our way to good health and wish the same for everyone! Thank you Nettie and the entire staff at VWCC.

Fantastic experience: Lost over 20lbs there. Girls are very nice and helpful. Recommend this place if you want more than just a shot and a pill and off you go.
