Negative experience: Warning: Scammer from New York Targeting Locals
(Long post, but worth the read.) After doing some research, I discovered that this person’s business is not verified by the BBB, and I couldn’t find any credible credentials associated with his name. I arrived at his office at my scheduled time—around 530 PM. He was the only one there. As a woman, it felt uncomfortable realizing I was alone with him. While filling out the paperwork, two major red flags stood out: 1. He doesn’t accept insurance. 2. If I needed documentation for reimbursement, he would charge $50 just to write it up. Once I finished the paperwork, we talked—for two hours, to the point I actually clocked out mentally. During that time, he used something called Applied Kinesiology (muscle testing) to determine what I was “allergic” to. According to him, I had allergies to gluten, wheat, BPA, and even had two parasites—all from holding viles in my hand. No bloodwork. No stool samples. Nothing to actually confirm any of this. He later mentioned he had “given me a discount” on the consultation—without providing any clarity on what the full services even entailed or following through with it. Then came the sales pitch: if I prepaid for future visits, I’d save $100 versus paying per session. When I asked what the future treatments would include, I got vague answers. The lack of transparency felt manipulative. Once I expressed hesitation, his demeanor changed fast—from cheerful to cold. He basically told me I could leave if I wasn’t going to take the offer. So I left. Honestly, I felt worse walking out than I did walking in.

Negative experience: Dr. Huntoon - I have repeatedly called and left messages, texted and finally called you out in a Facebook ad comment for your lack of response. I look forward to your reaction here after reading some of your other reactions to negative feedback. I came to your office paid ahead for services I have decided not to use. You have failed to respond to any of my ongoing requests to refund my money. I came in for a chiropractic evaluation of hip pain, which I didn’t receive, but instead got a diagnosis via what I consider to be questionable techniques (arm resistance that I could see you manipulating) diagnosed me with parasites and bunch of other bs. I’ve recovered from the hip pain by doing mobility exercises and have no health issues whatsoever at this time. Request once again, that you return the money I paid in advance for services that I decided not to use. Keeping my money amounts to theft and you’re not a thief, are you?

Fantastic experience: Dr. Richard Huntoon is so awesome! We went into see him for the first time in six years (our family moved out of state), and he has upheld the same level of care and knowledge that originally moved us to trust him to be a partner in our health. Seeing him again was like reuniting with an old friend. This time our visit included me, my husband, and our two small daughters. Doc Rick catered to our entire family and was so good with children! From chiropractic needs to nutritional guidance, when it comes to addressing an existing health concern there is nothing that he cannot assess and advise on. His website also holds a wealth of information! There is not a single doctor that I would recommend more if you want to be the healthiest version of you!

Positive experience: I've been facing a really really rough time for over a year and it's almost broken me. I called Dr. Huntoon and was skeptical like I am with everyone initially. However his knowledge as well as his accommodating nature makes me have hope for the human race. He saw me on a Saturday and even with my delay in getting to the appointment (which he chose to wait until I could arrive) and the issues I had with my debit cards He remained calm and collected. I have a little bit of hope that I will be healthy again and that means more than he will ever know or I'll be able to express. I'm very much looking forward to working with him more and getting back to my original healthy self again. Definitely recommend anyone who is having any trouble with any health issues be it mentally or otherwise to give his office a call.

Fantastic experience: It’s been about a month since I started seeing Dr. Huntoon. I began seeing results right away. I’ve had a lot of digestive issues and he was able to pinpoint what was going on prior to seeing my bloodwork results. Very happy w the results so far. I’ve stop Taking omeprazole for acid reflux. No more acid reflux for me! Very happy!

Fantastic experience: I came to Doctor Huntoon as a Type 1 diabetic because my blood sugars were averaging between 200 to 300 while on insulin. With his guidance, care and support my blood sugars are averaging between 85-100 and my A1c is down over 3 points. I now feel i can regulate my ownblood sugar without requiring so much insulin. If you are a diabetic, Dr Huntooncan help you gain control of your bloodsugar and health.

Negative experience: From searching through all the comments, I believe they are fake comments. What really proved that to me is how these 4 patients had the EXACT same comment. Another way i realized is that EVERY comment is about the first visit and how knowledgeable the Dr is but NOTHING about their actual recovery. Do your research before you invest your time and money into people who have to make fake comments to get patients. Also, if you go down the list of comments you will see the same people having reposted it throughout the year.

Fantastic experience: After only a couple of visits, I began seeing and feeling improvement, not only in how I felt, but also in how my body responded. I’ve been going to traditional doctors for years and they have literally told me that I’m an enigma or will apologize for not being able to figure out what’s going on. Dr. Rick told me what he believed the problem to be, while I was on the phone with him, making my initial appointment. He was right and has continuously helped me. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Dr. Rick. I was referred by a neighbor. Doc Rick was very warm and informative. He took his time and explained very clearly and simply what state my body was in. I left there with a much better understanding of the root of my health issues(rheumatoid arthritis/fibromyalgia/chron's). I am looking forward to my next few visits and finding out how to become pain free. I am a person who is looking for quick answers and help.. and although I did not get that, I did leave with hope that at least I will get better Without Medication.

Fantastic experience: FInding Dr. Huntoon Has eased the search for a " Primary Care Physician". We initially came to him for an skin issue my son was having. After a full body assessment we were elated to find the source of the issue. During the evaluation we receive tons of information as to how the body, mind and spirit work together and respond to our everyday lives. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Doc after a car accident that nearly killed me when I was 20 years old. I'm now 37. I was so amazed the first few times of him using my body to ask itself questions so he knew what was wrong with me. I was more amazed when he would do his magic and I never needed medicine to fix me! I don't trust anyone else besides him to help me get better. In the last 17 years he's put me back together numerous times. He isn't your regulars Dr where you only get 3 mins of face time. There have been times that were fast. There have also been times I've been with him at one session close to any hour. His heart is into getting you results! My family started seeing him 6 years ago while going through our own, personal, version of hell on earth. My daughter, about to turn 5, began having an intestinal problem. After 9 months of her having seen her doctor, multiple trips to the ER, over and over with the pediatric gastroenterologist, her seeing the preeminent allergist from Manhattan, five days in a Florida children's hospital...after being poked and prodded for every test including an endoscopy and colonoscopy, what we found out from the medical field was that they knew something was wrong but had no idea what was causing it. She was skin and bones, in constant pain, could not eat and seeing this happening, as parents, was the cruelest torture. Then a distant coworker heard of what we were going through and made a special point that I had to bring my daughter to see Dr. Huntoon, and just trust him. Well, I don't "just trust" anyone, but by this time I would quite literally have tried anything. We went to Dr. Huntoon who explained the way the body's energy works and he tested her. There was nothing invasive about his manner or testing methods. After about 5 minutes he said he knew everything that needed to be done to get her right. I listened and agreed to follow his instructions although, quite honestly, I was skeptical with a capital "S". We had just spent 9 months seeing "the best" doctors, who had run every test and had literally no idea what was causing her suffering and now I'm being told by an alternative medicine guy, after 5 minutes of "reading her", that he knew exactly what was causing her condition and how to make her whole? Well, you know what? He was right!...about all of it. She saw him over the next few months and we followed his directions and she was fine. A few months later he started treating her for her asthma, for which she used an inhaler and nebulizer daily and her doctors said she would have forever. We threw away her inhalers and gave away the nebulizer years ago. Today she's a healthy 11 year old soccer player with the best kick in her travel league...the picture of health. My whole family sees him. Every person I have directed to see Dr. Huntoon has been helped. He has been a God-send to me and my family. Fantastic experience: For about 8 months I was dealing with headaches, nausea and right side abdominal discomfort. After discovering that I had a poorly functioning gallbladder, my gastroenterologist recommended surgery. After meeting with Dr. Huntoon, he made me realize that several different factors regarding my health attributed to my gallbladder issue. Since seeing him, I have not had the same constant discomfort or the headaches and nausea I'd experienced previously. I also appreciate how accessible he is by phone or by email. Traditional doctors just do not take the time to look at underlying issues. As well-meaning as they may be, in my experience they look for a quick fix in terms of prescribing medicines, tests and/or surgery.
